I switched to Premier Pet Hospital about a month ago and immediately fell in love with this place. The staff is amazing and so very kind and compassionate. As it happened, today I had to put my elder puppy down. Dixie came in on her day off because she promised she would be there. My boy left me surrounded by love, and a lot of that love came from the staff of this wonderful place. I highly recommend Dr. Vergeson and his staff. Your fur babies will be in the best of care!!!

We started with another vet in town and we were unimpressed with costs, the staff or the veterinarians. I did extensive research before deciding on Premier Pet even visiting other clinics for interviews with other veterinarians. Dr. Vergason will be our vet from now on. Dr. Vergason is in the Army Reserve and his service heart shines through. Dr. Vergason is professional, thoughtful, informative and courteous, with pleasant staff. Our animals long term health is his plan and I like that.

I was beside myself when my doxie was unresponsive on Thursday, Dr. and staff took him right in, checked him, did a blood test (but machinery failed and I had to bring him back in all his pain...on Saturday) They gave him some meds...Dr. called me on Saturday checking on him...which was so awesome....Frankie is now unable to walk much and is in pain, will bring him back on Monday.)

Every person from beginning to end was very compassionate and kind when it was time to let our best dog to rest. Then about a week later we received a condolence card signed from every employee with very thoughtful comments and notes from each one, not at all generic. This meant more to us than we can explain! We are very grateful for their support during our difficult time all the way around.

I have a older boxer. Premiere pricing for prescriptive medicine far exceeds what you would have to pay online and elsewhere. I had the vet here write me a prescription for an anti-inflammatory to help with Joey’s pain. At no time was I told that if I had an online provider contact them to get his medicine, at a much fairer price, that they would reject working with them. I paid the money and extra for shipping, to expedite his medication and Premiere shot it down, as I am waiting for the medication to be delivered to my house. He was willing to write one to be used, but not to work with anyone that contacted them. Disclosure is very important and this vet did not do this at all. Here’s my dog in pain, and his policy has left him there. He is no longer my vet. Please, for Gods sake, ask them about disclosures. I wanted to support local business, but as always, save money, and Premiere does nothing to make that happen. They just want to cover their overhead and operational costs. Small town vet taking advantage of a senior citizen population. Cha-Ching.

I have been thrilled with the great care and attention from all of the staff at Premier. I have recommended and referred many people who have all been very happy with their own experiences. The support staff continues to be great when I come in for my pets monthly shot. They make your pet top priority, and are very good at going over options and prices so there aren't any bad 'surprises' when you check out. Dr. Vergason is great at what he does. He's passionate about pet wellness, and unlike other vets in the area is willing to try natural and simple solutions instead of just hurrying you out with a handful of prescriptions to move on to the next person.

This is the thank you letter I sent to Premier Pet Hospital: Good morning everyone, I want to sincerely thank you for helping to heal my girl, Jayla. I was so worried about her injured leg, where to take her, and how we would be able to pay for her expenses. The minute I walked into your office Becky greeted me with such a genuine smile and concern that my anxiety dropped. She got us into our room rather quickly and came in shortly after explaining that you were running behind on schedule. She offered me a plethora of beverages (rare but awesome) and even brought in a blanket for Jayla to lie on. Our vet tech (I’m so sorry I did not catch her name but she’s my hero) was so immediately gentle and caring towards Jayla that I could feel Jayla relax with her. Of course walking in with treats always helps but it’s more than that...she really loved what she did and it showed. She was very personable and informative and really just made me feel very welcome and taken care of. She even took Jayla’s blood in the room with me rather than take her to the back room...that really helped this mom’s (and Jayla’s) anxiety! Another young man helped with the blood draw and he was just as kind. He had wonderful treats for Jayla and he immediately became her best friend. Even when I left, our vet tech knew there was a dog by the exit door and helped me pay in the room instead. She was thorough about the costs of everything upfront and your prices were exceptionally reasonable. I was nervous about having a male vet since Jayla doesn’t respond very well with males, but when Dr. Vergason walked in the room he was so calm, kind, and caring that Jayla instantly liked him. I have been to quite a few veterinarians and I have never come across one that was so compassionate about animals. I felt as though Jayla and I were his only clients...we weren’t rushed, he took his time explaining to me what steps I had to take to help with Jayla’s recovery, and he was just so wonderful with Jayla that it brought tears to my eyes when I told my husband about our experience. I’m new to the area and was very concerned I wouldn’t find a good fit for my fur babies and now I found more than I could ever pray for. Premier Pet Hospital is awesome. I had the unfortunate task of letting go of our precious little girl Lucy in June this year. The staff at Premier Pet Hospital were kind, gentle, and very understanding of our great loss. They handled everything. They talked to us about what was going to happen and gave us all the time we needed to grieve our little girl as she crossed that Rainbow bridge. PPH took care of her after and called us when she was ready to be picked up. They sent us a condolence card with her paw print, which I will cherish forever. They are exceptional and professional when it comes to animals even very large puppies like our 7 month old German Shepherd. Love them and wouldn't trust my fur babies to anyone else. Really happy with Dr. Vergason. He's very caring, compassionate, and will go the extra mile for my furbaby. He always keeps me in the loop. My Koda was diagnosed with diabetes, which is scary to me. But Dr. Vergason said not to worry and he will help me to learn how to keep Koda's diabetes under control. I give 5 out of 5 stars, he and his staff deserve it.

Couldn't ask for more in a Vet. Dr. Vergason is a gem. Never feel rushed. He always takes the appropriate time to explain the issues and examine our pets. Very thorough. We've been to quite a few of the Vets in the area and I feel like we've finally found THE Vet for our animals. Our cats are always stressed in the car and we've had to take them into downtown Prescott to the Animal Hospital before. Now I feel like we can get appropriate care here in PV with a short 7 minute drive.

I have just had my second visit to Premier Pet Hospital. My first impression was how caring and polite the front end staff are. It's very clean, inviting, and drinks available for both animals and their gaurdians. Down to the important stuff. Dr Vergason is amazing. Not pushy for every test available. Calms your worries. I loved how he sat on the floor while talking to us, On Minnie's level. So pleased I found this place. Definitely not going anywhere else.

I was caring for a friend's dog and she had leg problems which became worse while she was here. I had never been here before, but my regular Vet couldn't see her. They took her in right away; gave insight into her problems and choices as to what to do. She wound up having to be euthanized. They were wonderful with the entire process. They even sent a sympathy card with her paw print. I was very thankful for the kindness of the entire staff.

We just took our dog here for a issue with her back legs. They were extremely knowledgeable and fast. It didn’t take more than a hour and a half for exam,bloodwork,X-ray and medicine. We normally go to another nearby veterinarian but due to our schedule we couldn’t get in. Premier pet hospital got us in within 45 min notice. We will be back!

They literally saved our cat from certain doom. Our cat had been previously diagnosed with Kidney Failure by another vet before we moved. We thought this was end-of-life for poor kitty, and as he stopped eating, shriveled up to skin and bones, and was nearing death, we took him in to Premier Pet Hospital, and sought to have him put to sleep. Dr. Vergason quickly discovered that our kitty did NOT have kidney failure; he only had an infected salivary gland (which makes it too painful to eat). With some fluids and meds for kitty, his infection went away, he started eating again, and has made a full recovery. We're so grateful for Dr. Vergason and his staff, and we're going to rename the cat Lazarus.
