We are thrilled to have found PAWS Veterinary Center. As parents to a new puppy and a 4-year old dog, it was important to us to find the right place for their medical care. Dr. Keaner and his staff are truly remarkable. The clinic is beyond impressive from the cleanliness to the state of the art care animals are provided with here. We cannot reccomend this center strongly enough.

This place is awesome! Really geared towards making a vet visit as pleasant as possible for both you and your pet. Very clean and comfortable. Staff, Dr.’s, and Vet Techs were all great with me and my dog, and so knowledgeable. This was our first visit here and they gave us a tour of their facility, even where they treat your pet. I thought that was really cool. Awesome place, and our new vet!

All I can say is we love Dr. Thurston and the staff at PAWS. She took care of our hairy child from cradle to grave and always made herself available to us when we had questions or needed emotional support. The care at PAWS is exceptional and everyone is friendly and helpful. There's no other place in Tucson to take your pet but to PAWS.

John Maisch

Amazing workout and great staff needs more PT people.

Yesterday was our first visit with Dr Liz. I couldn't have been happier with the outcome. Dr. and her assistant were so caring and nice. Our little Sadie Mae is a very special baby that has a lot of medical needs. Sadie was not so stressed out with the visit she even sat on the chair in the exam and listened to the Dr. LIz We thank you from the bottom of our hearts for such wonderful experience. Not to mention how beautiful and fancy your office is.. We will be keeping Sadie here for all her medical needs. Thank you again

Dr. Keaner is awesome!

The reception staff and nurses are quite pleasant, as was the vet we spoke to. Trouble is that it's all talk, little results. The holistic veterinary approach bit seems to be an offered service that they're unable to deliver on. We had allergy testing done for one of our dogs, and we received 1/3 of what we paid for. The testing itself took over a month, and when we got our results back, the provided list of foods our dog could eat was GENERIC...Not what we paid for, as the service advertised involved providing a list of foods without allergens our pup is allergic to. Then, when we spoke to the vet about it, we scheduled a session to discuss the results and get his thoughts. The moment he heard "home cooked diet", he shut down and refused to answer our questions. Instead, he referred us to a lady charging 175$/recipe after promising us that the cost of the allergy testing would cover the guidance on food choices. Ultimately, we spent 1200$ for a visit, consultation, and an allergy test. Not worth it in the slightest, as these folks seem trained to take your money, not provide you with the treatment information one goes to a vet for. Instead, we've chosen to seek out assistance from another vet....we were charged 100$ and got much more from that visit. I'd highly recommend being careful with these folks. They're friendly but their behaviors have earned no confidence in their ability to treat my furry family members.

We've been taking our four dogs there for about 5+ years now and have been very happy with the veterinary service. Great caring vet's and friendly, helpful front office staff.

I have 6 Cats (All Rescues) and PAWS has done a wonderful job of treating them. This group of Doctors are very Proactive Vs. Reactive when treating our animals. Buddy (3 yrs): Is alive today because of the Drs. at PAWs Diagnosing …

This place only cares about your money and not about your animals. The doctors do not know what they are doing instead they recommend you to go somewhere else because they do not have the proper training or certified to do exams. How the way I got treated seemed more like a guessing game that my dog might have this or that. In the end they decided to give up on us that I took my dog somewhere else that they recommended me to go which was a animal hospital I was disappointed, upset and full of emotions. In the end I had to put my dog down because in the hospital they told me that he had alot of complications something that wasn't caught on time. Because of false misunderstanding from paws veterinarian. I will never go to paws ever again. These people do not know anything and it's all false advertisement in what they do.

I have been taking my dog to PAWs since I found him as a puppy. The staff is very nurturing and knowledgeable. They remember me, and my dog each time we go... they are very good to their customers. Since I found my dog, the staff has been very good in evaluating his needs as he matures, and they take the time to explain causes/treatments/actions as he grows and his needs change. I would and have recommended this vet to several family members and friends. I trust them fully with the health and well being of my pet.

My dachshund started seeing Dr. Jobe after a few bad experiences with other veterinarians. He is currently struggling with pneumonia and Dr. Jobe is working with us to get down to the underlying condition. We bought him in about a week ago when he started breathing very heavily and Dr. Jobe was very proactive, making several suggestions, adjusting his medications and sending him home with some extra fluids and a B12 shot just to get him feeling a little better as soon as possible. She is very knowledgeable and can be trusted with whatever conditions your dog may be suffering from. The staff is super friendly and the lobby and exam rooms are very clean. I am very impressed and extremely grateful to have found PAWs for my little buddy.

Been to a few other vets but I love this place by far! They have a great waiting area indoor and outdoor seating in a fenced area with water provided for the dogs and coffee provided for us. They really take time to make sure they everything is okay with your pets before and after the visit. I came in to get my dog her shots and they did great and answered all of my questions and gave me a complete breakdown of my bill as well as a higher end option and a lower end option. Then about a month later she wasn’t feeling well and they took her right in the next day and treated her quickly and gave me the same breakdown as well as special diet instructions for her. They called back a few days later to make sure that she was feeling better. I will be staying at this vet from now on! Thank you to the friendly vets and front counter ladies at this clinic.

I made an appointment with PAWS based on the reviews I read here and I'm so glad that I did. From the minute I walked in the door I could tell I was surrounded by people who really care about animals. It was my cats first vet visit and Dr Justin Keaner and all of the supporting technicians (Alexis, Sarah, and Jason) were so good with her; I was completely blown away. It was just a general checkup, getting her up to date on shots, etc. and throughout the whole process, they were able to keep her calm and comfortable. I will definitely be returning for all future vet visits.

I’ve been coming here since moving to Tucson and never have I failed to receive excellent care from staff. My dogs have been through fights, surgeries and overall maintenance, and I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

anna halula

Thank you for your time and help with the new doggie.

Kayla Yates

The PAWS staff were always friendly and compassionate toward myself and my puppy. The facility was clean, comfortable and they ultimately helped my puppy get through a very critical time in his life.

Roger Vanderpool

Always professional, kind and loving to our pet. They're experienced and well equipped with a nice facility.

Lisa Loy

Phenomenal veterinary care in an amazing facility! Plus a nice retail area, be sure to stop by for Christmas goodies for the fur babies, my pup loves her squeaky toys!

Marie Garrett

As a recent transplant to Tucson, I was concerned about finding a good vet for my Golden Retriever. PAWS did not disappoint. The facility is very nice, the staff is friendly and caring, and Dr. Aronson was able to diagnose - and suggest an easy fix for - my pup's worrisome throat problem. Now, if I could only find someone as competent and trustworthy for my own medical care!

Jennifer Franklin

This was my first time here and I was not very happy at all... I recently moved to Tucson with my dog and decided to make an appointment at PAWS because it had good reviews. First of all, I felt like the doctor rehearsed a speech that he gives to each client just to push products to increase the bill. The current pills that my dog was on were working pretty well since moving here so I didn't need a lecture on something that would be more expensive. I also felt uneasy because nothing was done in the room with me, they took my dog in the back and did everything there. I've been to many vets in the past and I have not had any of them do that. I had to ask the front desk if they even took a temperature. I had brought my dog in for a urinary infection and had to wait a day for medication until the results of her urinalysis came back. I specifically told the doctor that my dog had allergies to certain medications. When they prescribed her medication they gave her something she had never taken before. Of course when I gave it to her she broke out in hives. I immediately called and asked why the doctor didn't prescribe something that my dog had already taken before, and did not have a reaction to. To top that off I had brought in many pages of history on my dog and her issues and they were not even scanned in the computer. So that proves the doctor didn't even look at them when prescribing the medication the first time. I am so unhappy with my service and I think paying close to $500 dollars for that kind of service is ridiculous. I never even received a follow up call to see how my dog was doing. It was my first and last time visiting PAWS.

Very good vets

Stephanie Missouri - Booth

The facility is clean the doctors are very pleasant and well-informed. But you can never get a weekend appointment and I am a working person. So this does not work for me or my puppies

Sam Ybarra

This place was really nice and clean. They took care of my baby very fast and in a timely manner. I'd highly recommend

Sarah H.

We fell in love with PAWS during our first visit! Our puppy, Jack, was taken great care of by Dr. Jobe and Alex. The staff were all super friendly and the place was very clean and welcoming. We were even given a tour of their amazing facility. So happy we found this place and will definitely be recommending it to our friends and family.

Sahil Arora

Wanted to give a big thanks to the PAWS staff and Dr. Jobe. Everyone was so friendly and courteous to us and our new pup on our first visit. He later had an issue, and they were able to see us right away and fix it. They also called to follow up. Truly a wonderful Veterinary office.

John M Willis

Great staff! Very helpful and kind. Although, the vets are very reliant on tests. They seem very uncomfortable giving any diagnosis without a many, in my view, unneeded tests. Tests are very accurate, but are expensive. Some tests would not be needed if the doctors were a bit more experienced and could make their own diagnosis. They seem afraid of legal action in case of a false diagnosis and would rather rely on the irrefutable proof of a test. Taking your pet here will give you great faith in tests, but not in any particular vet. This said, it is still a great facility and an enjoyable experience. One of the nurses sits down with you after the vet visit and goes through the itemized receipt and customizes it for your budget. It is very professional and they don't shame you for not being able to afford things that are on the list.

Sheryl F

The staff at PAWS was very kind and accommodating to get me in to see Dr. Keaner the next day bcause my pup was not feeling well. Dr. Keaner is extremely knowledgeable and patient and was able to offer me several food and treatment options to help deal with a pup that has had chronic gastrointestinal issues. Dr. Keaner is very patient and compassionate and answers all my question thoroughly without making me feel rushed. Whenever I have to take the fur baby to PAWS, I feel very comforted and confident that she is in great hands. This is a state-of-the-art facility with an extremely knowledgeable and caring staff and I would not hesitate to highly recommend PAWS.

Amy Stercho

PAWS is great! We've tried several vets in Tucson for our two cats and are extremely happy with PAWS. The office is very clean and thus has less strong smells which makes for more relaxed cats. Our very frisky older cat does not like to be handled. Dr. Halstead and the technician both knew how to handle him without stressing him out. He barely even realized he was getting a shot. They are always happy and willing to spend time on the phone giving advice and discussing concerns. Dr. Halstead has repeatedly called us the day after our visits to follow up. When looking into getting a second cat, we were concerned about the safest way to do this without having negative health effects on our cat. I called the office two times and the staff was extremely patient and helpful with all of my questions and concerns. It is important to Dr. Halstead that you understand your animal's health issues. She even took me back to the lab to show me our kitten's ear mites under a microscope. Going to PAWS feels right for my cats. Wouldn't take them anywhere else.

The customer service was fantastic, the waiting room was wonderful (free coffee), and everyone there was remarkably professional and personable. This is now my go-to vet.

Crystal Blaker

We took our newly adopted dog to see Dr. Aronson due to allergies, hair loss and vomiting. Dr. Aronson took great care of us, gave us plenty of time to ask questions, described everything clearly and if we were confused he would explain it a different way. The technician was also very nice, knowledgeable and kind towards our new scared dog. They took him in the back and said he did well and they also mailed us a laminated card with a picture of him while he was in the back and in their care. I felt comfortable knowing my dog was in good hands. The clinic was very clean, bright, and inviting. The front desk staff was welcoming and warm. There are nice amenities there like water, coffee, many different waiting areas for nervous or outgoing animals and a yard to take your dog for a potty break. There are lots of fountains, greenery and just a warm, welcoming, and soothing environment. We got a tour of the clinic after our visit and the rest of the clinic looked just as clean as the front of the clinic. I would recommend this clinic to anyone seeking medical care for their animal and also for people who are seeking an alternative medicine route.

Nick Grund

Dr. Keaner and the awesome PAWS support staff took great care of our little Boston Terrier Spencer when he had a couple of masses that needed to be removed. There were absolutely no issues with the procedure and Spence was back on his feet and happier than ever afterwards.

J C

Great job made our cat & puppy feel welcome and gave us great advice thanks

Christine Wilke

We have taken our dogs to PAWS since they opened their doors. Dr. Randy Aronson inspires trust and confidence and consistenly helps us balance between holistic and conventional options. Ours dogs enjoy heathy, full lives thanks to the support and guidence we have received at PAWS.

Gladys Minney

Wonderful clinic. Worked with me

Deborah Butler

Very kind, caring people. Dr. Aaronson is wonderful.

Cindy Hefley

My little doxie boy really struggled after knee surgery at a speciality surgeon and we were heartbroken to see him so miserable. A friend recommended the underwater treadmill and physical therapy at PAWS and it has been a huge turnaround for him! David & Jason are such great therapists and I would highly recommend trying physical therapy at PAWS BEFORE any knee surgery. The whole staff has been great to work with, they are courteous and always on time. Thank you PAWS for making my boy happy & healthy again!

I have only been to this vet for two doctor visits. Two years ago, and about a month ago. I don't know how much a normal vet costs, but I do know I've been happy with my visits. The bills are a couple hundred for the minor checkups and vaccines, but they were willing to work with me to spread out the shots (and bills), which worked for us and our cats legs lol. The interior is beautiful and their staff are super friendly. They have two wings, one for cats and the other side for dogs. I would recommend this place if it fits your lifestyle.

Toni Marie

Friendly, knowledge staff :) They truly care for your fur babies!

EIBBOR2654 .

Always a top notch Veterinary practice. I've been going there for over 10 years. The place is always clean, the Doc's and staff really show their professionalism and pride there. The staff is friendly and will work with you to spread out the bills and treatments, within reason if needed. My family Dogs are small but can be a bit to handle and are shy around other people. But the Doc's and staff treat them as if they were theirs. I have never heard a negative comment about any of the pets they treat there. Sometimes I think my kids (Dogs) get better care there than I get at the VA Hospital. I truly can't say enough about how good the people are at PAWS. PAWS is a place that you must experience to really see how good they are. I've been to several Vet Clinics in the 35+ years I've lived in Tucson. All cost about the same, but PAWS and the people there are far above any other place I've been. If you decide to visit PAWS, ask to set up a tour of the place when they are not busy taking care of a lot of pets. The staff will be happy to take you through the place and show you what they got and answer questions you may have.

Meghan McDaniel

If I could give them six stars, I would. I took my Kitty into PAWS after adopting her and saw Dr. Thurston. She was attentive and answered all my questions. My kitty wasnt eating well so the Dr gave me food samples and tips. Building is super clean and welcoming. The staff was knowledgeable and professional.

Mark Perry

Great vets

Linda

Amazing vet center. Staff is awesome. So many services offered

Gary Olsen

My dog Willa has had great care at P.A.W.S. The facility is amazing! Go in for a tour and see for yourself! I have referred many people and the ones who went are very grateful!

TinaEck

The vet said opinions like they were facts when every other vet has always said otherwise, including ones I've seen here. The receptionist did nothing to move the dog away from the cat area and my cat was terrified and trembling. The vet judged everything in a way that was not constructive. my cat's fur wasn't good enough, his diet wasn't good enough, his weight wasn't good enough, his teeth, everything. 1 exam and 1 shot was so upsetting for him he began having blood in his urine from his induced anxiety. $400 and a trip to the emergency vet the next day is how I know this. Never coming here again. Edit after Response: Your staff did nothing to ask the multiple dogs in the lobby to please leave the cat area. There were 3 staff members present while I was trying to keep my trembling cat calm and they were chatting. The vet tech manhandled my cat and I could tell he was even more upset during the exam. I have never seen anyone grab an animal so roughly in a veterinary office. No amount of apologies can make up for the amount of anxiety and harm that my furbaby suffered. As previously state, I am never coming here again.

Shawn Foreman

Super friendly and helpful staff. Beautiful, clean facility.

Irasema Concepcion Fonseca Gonzalez

Great veterinary care and very kind staff. Our dogs have been coming here for two years.

Jean Devitt Brown

Dr. Aronson and Dr. Thurston and their entire staff are knowledgeable, loving, and extremely competent. I would not think of taking my two Yorkies to any other Vet Clinic. Jason has been amazing at rehabbing my Hope's hip post surgery with aqua therapy. The best VET CLINIC in the Southwest.

Adriana Picoral

Our dog is really anxious (she's a rescue), but they are great with her. We've been to different vets, and nobody has ever been able to keep her calm but the staff and vets at Paws.

James Kirk

My cat died post operative dental procedure several days later. Vitals crashed, was told by PAWS to take to ICU Hospital. Bad experience, not happy with service. I will never, ever, ever go to this place again. I should receive a refund for the money I spent. PAWS - don't bother responding to this post - the fluff letter you sent me was an obvious way to deflect negligence. Let's see, post op labs show my cat is in great condition... cat has surgery and vitals crash within the proceeding days, yet somehow it had nothing to do with the surgery? Sure. Then you proceed to insinuate that the third party veterinarian (30 years as a private practice veterinarian) who looked at the records (pre-mortem) may have been sub-par when they indicated that the surgery along with possible un-diagnosed renal disease, contributed to the cats early demise? Next step will be a complaint to the Arizona State Veterinary Medical Examining Board...

When I first started bringing my dog Ollie to PAWS seven years ago, he was a fragile little ragamuffin who would get sick every time I turned around. Lucky for both of us I found the veterinarians at PAWS who took care of his dental problems, and figured out that he had an intolerance to synthetic vitamins (a very rare phenomenon!). They have also been of immeasurable assistance in maintaining my diabetic dogs, as well as providing physical therapy for my very active terriers who frequently overdo. PAWS veterinary may be a little more expensive than some other vets, but I feel they have saved me money, as well as trouble and heartache, in the long run. I like that they offer alternative treatments such as herbal and holistic medicines, acupuncture, and laser therapy. They also offer tech appointments for things like nail trims and physical therapy which also helps save time and money, and all the veterinary technicians that have helped us out over the years have been terrific. I recommend PAWS to all of my friends that have a tough problem or a medical mystery. When your pet really needs expert help there is no better place in Tucson.

Gina Mascetti

Only came here for a puppy class with Animal Magnetism ran by Vanya Moreno. The floor seemed really clean but the class didn't work out for my shy puppy. I guess if everyone is blessed with a outgoing puppy, anyone could teach a dog. Unfortunately, that's what this class represented-a very basic puppy class for outgoing puppies in a crowded veterinary clinic.

Ashley K

So glad to have found this practice after trying a couple others in Tucson. In the few years we’ve been going we’ve had no complaints. Never feel pressured to do all their recommendations, and they will give you an itemized list of all recommendations so that you can choose what you can afford.

Tristian Baca

I took my boxer/lab there for some routine vaccines. We switched vets regularly because they all seem to jusy do the bare minimum. Dont expect that from the staff at PAWS. Theyre truly dedicated to what they do, and its done with a smile. Also, my doggo is high anxiety which makes going to the doctor, difficult. They have outside sitting areas and he was able to smell his surroundings which gave him a chance to adjust We'll definitely be returning as long as they'll have us!

John Mathews

Will never take my dogs here again. Paid $200 for an exam. Paid for the meds and when the meds ran out they wanted to see him again without issuing a refill. I can not pay $200 for an exam to another prescription. Been only 30 days. What a scam!

missmissah

This place is amazing!!!! It has a wonderful atmosphere and the staff is even better! My dog is very afraid but everyone here is so amazing with him! Dr Randy is the vet to see! He knows exactly what is going on and how to fix it! I highly recommend him to all family and friends!!!!

Ryan William Bentz

While I was initially hesitant about taking my pup here for services because they are a tad more expensive than most vets. The service was justified and I feel that I did get my monies worth. The staff and Doctor Halstead was sincere and was not forceful in pushing tests or any other procedures I was not comfortable with. The clinic itself was abosulutely amazing, clean, and well kept. More vet offices should be like this one. Also there approach to vet medicine is refreshing to say the least. Its not always about putting the animal on a drug to make it feel better. They have many services available which I look forward to using to help my older dog lead a better more active life. Based upon my one and only visit I would recommend this clinic. Hopefully this feeling will continue. :)

Jerry Pearson

Love this place!! Customer service is top notch here and they truly care about your 4 legged family members. I brought Malachi my Bengal here to see Dr Thurston and she was very thorough and she spent a lot of time with him to try and address the problem. Dr Aronson was also very nice and he was the one that performed the teeth pulling operation on Malachi. The only concern I've had is with how soon they released Malachi after the operation because when I brought him home he was really tripping out cause he was so drugged up and he was seeing things and moving like he was on speed and I thought he was gonna have a heart attack. I was just really scared for him and felt like he would've been in better hands with them for longer monitoring. I'm in no way slamming them cause that may be common practice and this is the first procedure Malachi has had. But here is why I ended up loving this place even more. When I called them back about being concerned about his behavior I talked to a tech there named Elaine. She ended up giving me her personal # and stayed in touch with me every day sometimes couple times day thru text to check in on Malachi even on her own time away from work. She helped me so much and you just don't find customer service like that anywhere. Elaine and Paws are truly dedicated to your pets well being and will go that extra mile for them. There office is very nice too and I love the turtle pond out front. I drive about 45 min to get to Paws and it is worth it. I highly recommend Paws!!!

Just had a terrific experience at P.A.W.S. Veterinary Center. The entire staff was so helpful and caring. Our dog is typically terrified when visiting a vet. Dr. Keaner and staff handled our boy so well he hardly knew it was an examination. Can't tell you how much that is appreciated. Thank you for getting our pooch on the road to recovery.

margo bàldrige

I can't say enough good things about PAWS clinic and staff and especially to Dr Halstead and Dr Randy. My little dog, Honey was in to see Dr Halstead 2 years ago for a complete checkup. She was very caring and had some good recommendations …

Anastasia Bate

A great Vet office with great service. They always go above and beyond for your pets. The office is filled with lots of wonderful people who love what they do! Highly recommended!

Andy Ren

The vet was very nice and explained the overall process of her recommendations.

Tina Larkin

Incredible services. They were so friendly, even my normally skittish cat felt at ease.

Jo Ann Golden

Great friendly staff, nice and clean waiting area and treatment, very reasonably priced for services

I just took my poodle mix today, i was really pleased with them right when i walked into the door. When i was helped by the receptionist , the phone rang and she would answer and say "i have a client ahead of you can you please hold" which …

PAWS is the best, we started coming going to PAWS after we moved here 5 years ago and our one dog developed Valley Fever. Dr. A was right on it and she was off meds after 6 months. The care here is A+++++. I wouldn't trust the care of our dogs to anyone else.

Riley P

I had to board my dog over Thanksgiving break 2014 & was so busy I forgot to get him updated on his shots. Right before I was going to drop him of at a pet hotel, I brought him by P.A.W.S. & THANKFULLY they had no problem taking him in real quick to give him the necessary shots for boarding. They were so kind & quick & great with my dog. They could tell I was stressed & in a hurry that they made sure that there were no bumps just smooth sailing. Checkout was a breeze & my dog was still happy to see the very kind & bubbly technicians. This place does not scare my dog, in fact he loves this places because of the friendly staff! I would have NO problem recommending this place to anyone! I am so very please with how well they handled my last minute visit to get my baby updated on his shots!

Rebecca Determan

Recently adopted a dog from PACC and took her into PAWS to get checked. The staff was welcoming and the facility is great! If you can, request Dr. Jobe - she’s so kind and gentle with your fur baby and is super knowledgeable. Thanks to Morgan for helping us get situated and making it so simple!!

rebecca early

Thank you PAWS for always exceeding my expectations. Halle and Tara are two very happy and healthy 14 year olds thanks to you. Your front staff is amazing and I love how you all communicate over ear buds and mics making the experience efficient and more effective. It is apparent that all staff care about the patients and pet parents.

Bailey Swartz

Great clinic with wonderful and caring staff

Lily Gabriel

Love the separate waiting room for cats. Also, love the patio option for dogs. Care is always excellent here. I never feel that tests they recommend are unwarranted. They also call to check up on our pets after their appointments if they are ill.

kristinaolivarez

Paws has been sooo AMAZING! My dog tore her crucial ligament about two years ago and I was told by another vert that my only choice for her was an extremely invasive surgery which would take weeks to heal. I went to paws for a second opinion and Dr. Randy was able to treat her naturally with medications and rehab. It took about a 6 month to get her back up, but a year later she is fully recovered and can run and play without having that horrible invasive surgery. On top of that - same dog we just found tongue cancer that had damaged her tongue . Dr. Randy was able to remove about half of her tongue in place of euthanizing her. It's a hard road, but him and his team did such am amazing job and offers the best holistic care. I would recommend PAWS to everyone! Thank you to the Paws team for treating my dog just like their own.

Elise Hicks

Hands down, PAWS is the best vet center in Tucson. Everyone from the front desk and vet techs to the doctors are friendly, knowledgeable and go out of their way to help. They call the day after every appointment just to check in and see how things are going post visit. I would recommend PAWS to anyone looking for true holistic vet care.

Erik Vose

Amazing comprehensive holistic care for an "incurable" disease for my australian shepherd with immune mediated hemolytic anemia. Very happy with discussion and information/education from Dr. Aronson. As a doctor myself I appreciate the obvious expertise.

M Kutzmer

They take excellent care of my dog.

SPH

Unskilled, unprofessional, and unethical. I do NOT recommended for the care of any animal. Very disappointed in the care that my cats received. Brought two of my cats in to see Denise Gordon last week, one for shots, while one had not been eating and had been vomiting. The one that wasn't feeling well hissed and swatted at Denise Gordon. She immediately recoiled in horror as if she had never had to deal with a cat not feeling at his best. She then was very timid and afraid to complete the exam or even touch my cat without first sedating him using gas anesthesia (isoflurane) in a closed chamber. With this lack of a physical examination and only a very quick health history, she then went on to recommend $800 in diagnostic tests. I agreed to the charges and when all tests came back negative, Denise Gordon then recommended another battery of additional costly exploratory tests such as echocardiography. When I asked what exactly the tests would be looking for (because I am happy to have the tests done if she had a strong hypothesis for what was causing my cat to vomit), Denise Gordon became extremely defensive and justified her treatment course as “this is how I treat all my patients”. At that point, I suggested that I would wait and watch the cat over the weekend. However, instead of receiving a phone call on Monday morning asking how the cat was, I received a letter in the mail stating that PAWS no longer was interested in caring for my pets. Nope, the letter did not even a mention my sick cat or inquire whether he was doing better. Given that in the last month my dog was seen at PAWS for routine shots ($368.23, note this charge included optional blood work because we care about the health of our animals), shots for my healthy cat ($112.50), and a bill for my sick cat ($730.81), I think I am more than happy to look elsewhere for a better skilled, more experienced and more compassionate veterinarian who cares about my animals.

Hannelore Tepper

I have 16 pets and have been to many Pet Hospitals in town. I went to Paws last week and am amazed at the care given my 2 cats and the followup calls from the Dr's was so filled with care and concern. They really care and I feel like I can call with questions any time. The expertise of the Dr's is wonderful. The staff were all kind and caring. I will not go anywere else from now on for my pets health concerns.

Amazing staff. They are friendly, helpful and safe my dog when I was given no hour in other places!

Little Feather

First time in and I was so pleased they got us in right away. The receptionist was so helpful on every level as well as friendly and courteous. The staff and Doctor was excellent and took care of us with love and compassion. Absolutely recommend this facility for your animals needs.

Kelsey Faber

My rescue kitty Charley & I love PAWS! Each visit we've made the staff took extra time to make us feel welcome and taken care of. The facility is beautiful, clean, & very accommodating, which upon first walking in almost made me afraid things were too good to be true- but each staff member went out of their way to answer questions and give us the best care possible. I love that they come from a holistic approach, so you are given and explained all options for care. Charley was a rescue with a compromised immune system (unbeknownst to us upon adoption) and he has done incredible, thanks to the easy accessibility and professionalism of PAWS.

skycub99

PAWS is the nicest, cleanest, friendliest and most technologically/holistically advanced veterinary center i have ever been to. When they gave me the "new patient" tour i was mega impressed at how well thought out and advanced this center …

Felice Gaia

Care like many other great vets, choices however much greater then any other

Tara Mulski

I've been to a number of different veterinary practices in Tucson with my cats, and PAWS is by far my absolute favorite. We especially love Dr. Keaner, and every time I bring them they've had a totally low stress experience and are treated with respect and kindness, as well as expertise. PAWS also offers integrated veterinary medicine, which has been very successful in treating my kitties. The staff is excellent and the environment is clean, calm, gentle, and organized. I always feel good about bringing my animals to PAWS; they also offer feline board. I haven't tried it but I'm about to learn more about it for the future.

Loren Zech

Everyone at PAWS is kind and they give excellent care to my dog. I give them my highest recommendation.

I will never, ever, ever go to this place again. My little dog just died in my arms after going through a procedure at this place. Aaronson talked me into the procedure saying it should be done to find out what was going on in my little dogs head. I was told it was going to be done about 10:30 a.m. but it didn't even start until 1:00 p.m. When I went to pick her up, the vet has an X-ray showing me that her little bone on her sweet nose had been eaten away and she had cancer. Then tells me to take her home and put these drops in her nose every hour to help her with her breathing. I had them send the records to my other vet and when she looked at them, she said that my little girl did not have cancer but had a tooth root that was all infected. The next morning I gave my little girl the nose drops and she went limp, just like she died. She came out of it but that afternoon she died in my arms. Her poor little heart just couldn't take it any more. After spending $3000 in this place and my baby girl dies two days later is disgusting to say the least. And not only that, it was the waiting for two weeks while she struggled breathing and all the things he had given me to give to her. I am just sick and want to throw up that this happened because I took her to this vet instead of staying with my regular vet. Because of my ignorance and trust in this veterinarian, my little girl is dead. This vet should return my money.

Kevin Andre Scott

2.5 stars. Super friendly staff and doctors, very nice facility. During the visits the treatments are suggested in the same manner as a car salesmen selling upgrades on commission. $300 for x rays, but an additional $177 for the doctor to look at them and an additional $78 if you want him to set down his coffee and do it today (otherwise it’s a 24 hour turn-around). If they have a busy schedule there’s a $95 “get you in today” fee. After the exam a veterinary assistant is sent in to describe the suggested treatment but in our case couldn’t justify some of the items or the logic behind some of the diagnostics and the vet was long gone. After a year of being a loyal patient we were tired of paying exorbitant costs for every day courtesies, we happily switched to a vet in town who is a much better fit for our dog.

Andrew Hollamon

I've been taking my two cats to Paws for their whole lives. I've been extremely happy with the staff and facility there. They have a quiet cat-friendly area, are completely up front and transparent about pricing, and have staff that seem to genuinely care. I've used their services from annual checkups, to vaccinations, to a surgery to remove an intestinal obstruction, to treating stomatitis. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Eddie Austin

I absolutely love P.A.W.S. They treated us very well and our pup loved it.

J T Bannon

P.A.W.S is a wonderful veterinary hospital. Pets and their owners are treated with courtesy and compassion. The veterinarians and the staff continue to offer the latest in conventional, holistic, and Chinese medicine, including therapies. The veterinarians and the staff have gone out of their way to help me and my pet.

Christian Wlach

Amazing care and facility

Frank Papp

My Red Heeler "Spot" came down with Vally Fever... The Vet gave a sit down with his expertise and personal time. He explained a program and diet to get Spot healed up. His program was a success. Spot is cured! That's right...Off the medication!!! If you care about having a great with a healthy dog or cat. The care here will get you there. Very happy with the care and services provided. Thanks to everyone at PAWS Spot is with me to the Hubs!

Tad Denton

This vet office is staffed with the friendliest and nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Top notch service in a very nice setting

Jennifer Bunderle

Excellent veterinary care and center. Thorough, professional, up to date, caring and considerate. VERY highly recommend!

Michelle Miller

This place is wonderful. They really do give you options on the different ways to keep your pretty as healthy and comfortable as possible. If you are looking for a place where they think outside the box for the benefit of your pet's health this is the place to go to.

Robert Hughes

Dr Keaner and the staff are very caring and attentive to our cat Teddy. We appreciate them.

Victor Rodriguez, Jr.

My friend took her cat to PAWS for the first time last weekend and it was a great experience. As soon as we walked in the door, we were immediately greeted by the people at the front desk. They were friendly, offered us coffee and a tour of the facility. The place is clean from the waiting room to the examination room. Abby and Dr. Jobe were both amazing. They were efficient and explained everything they were doing. The recommendations were made for the best of the cat, and not for selling additional products. They followed up a couple days later to check on the cat. Would recommend PAWS to any family member or friend, who would like an excellent experience.

Jessica Bambery

I have been going to this vet for quite a while as it was recommended by a coworker. I have seen a variety of veterinarians here and they are all very genuine and friendly. The counter staff are welcoming. I really like the way they set up their seating areas and it helps pets feel more calm.

Adam Andrzejczak

My girlfriend and I love this place. We've taken our cats here a few times over the past year, as we have several. Each and every time, our cats receive the best care. Dr. Klimentidis is wonderful. She listens carefully to our concerns and genuinely cares about our animals. PAWS always calls the next day to follow up on any visit, even routine ones. They are prompt when sharing lab test results. The staff are true animal lovers, which shows in the way they treat (and remember) pets. They are a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, and have a separate waiting area for cats. As cat parents, we understand very well how stressful vet visits can be to cats. It's great that PAWS tries to ease everyone's nerves! We would highly recommend PAWS Veterinary Center. They're awesome!

Ray Conover

My wife and I have used PAWS now for several years to look after our collection of cats and dogs. My wife has worked in veterinary practices as an assistant and can attest to the quality of the operation and staff at PAWS. PAWS is always spotlessly clean, and wait times have never been a problem. On the occasion where there has been some urgency to our needs the staff at PAWS has always figured out a way for our animals to be seen quickly. In addition to their veterinary practice PAWS also takes part in community activities through veterinary related charities that it supports. I have had dogs off and on for most of my life and been to a great many veterinary practices over the years, and PAWS is one of the very best you will ever find!

My mellow tabby elderkitty, Tuxy, approx 15 years old, became paralyzed overnight in 10/12, in his rear legs & tail, and lost voluntary excretion functions, likely due to arthritis. His very experienced regular vet did what he could, but …

Ryan Kostrzewa

We recently adopted a particularly anxious dog who is terrified of strangers from the PACC, and took him to PAWS for his first check up. The staff was absolutely wonderful! They did everything they could to help him feel comfortable, and he handled the whole experience much better than he’s handled anything else with strangers so far. They made sure we understood what the pup needed going forward with regards to shots, vaccinations, and heart worm, and spent plenty of time answering our new-dog-owner questions. We’ll be taking him there again next time without a doubt! Thanks PAWS!

Matt Seddens

Two torn ACL's, was quoted $5k surgery to repair by another vet clinic, plus lengthy recovery. PAWS...they had another idea. 12 visits, water treadmill, laser therapy, natural supplements. Complete recovery! Five years have past...still going strong. Cost, a small fraction of what surgery costs.

Marianne Bosse

Very professional and kind to my pets

Patricia Gaither

Very caring and thorough Followed up the next day with lab results and to see how my dogs were doing

Michelle R

I called paws to get pricing on having my 40 lb dog spayed. I could not get even an approximate cost. The answer was 60.00 for office visit, required blood work, (which most vets quote around 40.00) the. Lady couldn't give me a price range, stated not sure what test doctor would run. Also told me for the spay would be around 200.00. That would well be over 300.00 for procedure, plus she said the meds they send home could be an additional 100.00. Wow thats crazy for a 40 lb dog that's 1 1/2 years old. NO THANK YOU. You have to have deep pockets for this place.

Celia Simpson

PAWS feels like a spa for pets. The staff is incredibly friendly, and I know that they are treating my dog well. They always offer services/products, but are not pushy so I do not feel like I'm being sold anything other than what I want/my dog needs. I'm sure that it is a bit more pricey than other vets/clinics, but I think that it is all worth it to know that my dog is in such great hands.

Anne Palmer

I made my first appointment at PAWS because Dr. Randy is known for his holistic approach to veterinary. He didn't disappoint. He spent almost an hour with us the first visit going over every aspect of my dog, talking about her diet, exercise, vaccinations, etc. She had a comprehensive blood test to help him get a better picture of her health and a titer test to see if she really needed the vaccinations she was due for. As I suspected, she was fully immune from last year's vaccination and didn't need anything other than rabies since it is legally required. He is very good with the animals and Lucy feels very comfortable going there to see him. And so do I.

Candace Hughes

Love PAWS staff and Dr. Keaner . Treated my cat as if their own pet. Convenient location, nice waiting areas and immaculate exam rooms (very important to me). I have never felt unnecessary tests or procedures were suggested/performed. We have been a client of PAWS over 5 years, highly recommend.

Dawn-Starr Crowther

We have had consistently excellent care at PAWS. Their doctors really care about your pets. They always give you an estimate before they do services (after you've been seen by the vet), which I appreciate. I've never felt rushed through an appointment, and there's plenty of time to ask questions. When both our dogs came down with pneumonia, they worked with us to find a cheaper antibiotic at Costco, so we could afford it for both dogs. They've also seen us immediately for urgent problems. The facilities are squeaky clean, and comfortable with separate sides for cats and dogs. I feel very comfortable with our vet care at PAWS and am grateful for the great care they give our pets.

mark hamilton

I keep on top of my Cockapoo's teeth, cleaning them each day. However, there was some build-up. At our last appointment, when Gigi was taken to the back area, the calculus was flaked off and she was returned to us with white (back) teeth. This was a lovely little extra attention. It only took a few minutes, but it made an impression on us. Thank you.

Michelle LeBar

I love this office. Everyone here is nice and loves animals. I feel comfortable bringing my cat here. For an animal that is anxious leaving the house at all, this clinic is great for keeping her at ease.

Shelly Weasel

Great vets offices. I took my cat there for an emergency visit and they fit me in asap. They are really through and clean. I appreciate the way they handled my sick cat, he wasn't as scared as most vet visits he has been to. I love there online pet profile too, you can keep track of appointments and records. Very nice place, and nice employees. I am making it the primary vets office for my animals.

Sandy Jansen

We brought our Yorkie to PAWS for help when the vets that we had seen for years would not address his walking difficulties. Dr Thurston immediately suspected - correctly- that Spike had Cushing's syndrome from medication prescribed by the other vet. The walking problems and weakness were from this and arthritis. They discovered that he has hypothyroidism and hypertension. Dr. Keaner took care of his surgeries (skin growths) and dental issues. Justin provided therapy on the underwater treadmill. Spike is SO much healthier and more like himself. All of the staff are so kind and friendly. Of course, our other dogs go there now, too! We are so happy and grateful for everything that has been done for Spike!

Robert Sommerfeld

We have been taking our dog to PAWS since we adopted her 4 years ago. We chose PAWS since it was close to our house and prescribed to the type of care and treatment we believe in. We have have steadly seen two Vet's (one left after 2 …

Brian Wang

Took my cats to do some vaccines here, the price is decent, about $20 for one shot, and $60 consultation fee for each cat. The staff here are very friendly, and they care about my cats.

Judi Dahms Bushey

Can't say enough great things about how they helped me through the end of Shorty's life .... I will always be thankful for the experience they gave me....

Kenia Marquez

The staff is very nice and always feel welcomed. If you need an appointment as soon as possible they will do their best and see you the same day. Everyone is very professional. Will continue to take Luna here.

Tricia Balancio

Top notch vet care. Suggestions for care and cost printed out for you to help you decide what course of action you wish to take. Some feel they are expensive. I have a pet sitting business and am familiar with many vets in town and the cost of their care. I find PAWS to be very reasonable. Especially if your pet has a serious issue, I wouldn't trust any other vet group. Many options available for care from naturalpathic to conventional. You are always treated respectfully and never made to feel quilty for the choices you make.

Ann Bartolucci

Everyone couldn't have been any nicer or accommodating. I was unable to get my cat into two other vets and PAWS took me as a walk-in. Dr Aronson came to us in less than 10 minutes. It's obvious how deeply he cares for animals by his gentle nature with my cat and all the knowledge he shared with me. He was able to run bloodwork right there and provide me with some answers quickly. They called and I called every couple days to give him reports to follow up on her care for a week. I was really grateful for that. Dr Aronson is exceptionally nice and friendly. He was a pleasure to work with and I will continue to return to him throughout Willow's life. His assistant, Abby, offered the same high standards of help and care. She was wonderful. Sarah gave me a tour around the facility and I was quite impressed with all the services they offer. I could take a book and relax all day in all the beautiful lobbies and outdoor patios! It's a beautiful facility that's well kept. It was an overall great experience and I will continue to go there. Thank you Dr Aronson especially, and also Abby and Sarah!

Jenny Magli

Wonderful staff. Beautiful facility. Great care! A bit pricey though.

Molly Lynn Grolton

i had another vet that was sufficient, but they were way overbooked by at least a week out, so i came here because they had available appointments right away. i'll never go back because what a beautiful location and the staff is friendly and efficient. they took great care of Archie and i really appreciated the different seating areas both inside and outside. even better they accept care credit. highly recommend!

Kathy W

We Love you PAWS !!! Our little Jetsan is doing so much better thanks to your care. We were told he would have to have expensive back surgery and that his back would still be prone to injury. With your care we have almost forgotten how bad it was for him. We LOVE our little guy and are SO THANKFUL for your Holistic and Helpful approach. Thank you very much, Kathy & Stephanie

David Prather

Great staff and very knowlegable. Glad we found PAWS for our dog.

Dawn Caron

Recently moved to Tucson and found this awesome vet center near our house. Our mini Eskie, Teddy (who just turned 12) was having some skin allergy issues. Right from the first phone call, I knew I found the right vet for us. ALL the staff is super friendly & accommodating! We had an appt with Dr. Jobe. She was so caring and very informative about our treatment options for Teddy. The staff members all greeted Teddy and made us feel very welcome. The clinic is beautifully decorated and features several contained outdoor spaces where your pet can romp around a bit if desired. The whole place smelled clean and fresh. Teddy even received a check up call the following day to ask how he was tolerating his antibiotics! I highly recommend making an appt with this place . . . you will be very glad you did!

Katy Murphy

It’s always tough moving to a new place and finding a good fit for your babies. PAWS has been terrific. The folks on the phones, the front office staff, the vet techs, and the vets themselves are great. Our cat had to have teeth cleaning and extractions done very soon after our relocation. They explained everything up front at his exam, they were very caring on the day of the procedure, I met with both the tech and the vet before and after the procedure. They called me after the procedure to let me know how our cat was doing, as well as texting a photo later in the day as he recovered from the anesthetic. I am completely happy with the care our cat received from this team, and very pleased to have a vet of this caliber so close to home.

Cody Hillenbrand

Brought in our new puppy for his first vet visit. Very friendly and helpful staff and overall wonderful experience.

Erika Donald

The entire staff at Paws exude warmth and deep concern for all their patients. I appreciate how meticulous and thoughtful the Drs are with my cat's care and treatment. I never feel rushed when I have questions or concerns. PAWS clinic is the only place I'd take my pets without any hesitation and recommend to anyone and everyone... every staff member I've encountered is genuinely warm and welcoming! Thank you!

Patrick Pelland

Our Dog died and I was so impressed on how compassionate the entire staff was. They gave us the time to say goodbye to her. We had her cremated and they were excellent in that. They are the best Vetenary Clinic that I have ever dealt with. A++++

Darren Huntley

Great staff and excellent service.

Madeline Bresler

It took us SO long to find a vet we loved, but it was worth the wait! I would recommend P.A.W.S. to anyone who wants the best care possible for their furry friends. Their facility is beautiful, everyone there is caring and friendly, and the veterinarians are top notch. We will be very sad to leave P.A.W.S. behind when we move from Tucson next year.

Cheryl McKenzie

My two Bengals are very special to us. This was the best Vet experience I have ever had in 30 years. The Doctor showed my 11 year old daughter how to clean their ears, eyes, and clip their nails. Such calm, care and love for the animals

Melissa Amarello

Can't say enough great things about PAWS and Dr. Randy Aronson specifically. We've brought several elderly pets with terminal illnesses here for treatment and they've given the most and highest quality time possible. We wouldn't take our animals anywhere else in Tucson!

Katie V

I love PAWS! I've had experience with 3 of the vets there and love them all. They took time with me and my pup and didn't seem rushed. They would follow up to make sure things were going well. I love there holistic approach. They look for alternatives before prescribing medications. I trust PAWS with my furry best friend!

Ghydaa Prather

We have had the best experience at PAWS. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Our dog went through the PT program after her CCL Surgery; with cold laser, various exercises and water treadmill. We loved the service and attention to detail when caring for our pet.

kristine thomas

Excellent service for my animals. Extremely friendly staff. Would highly recommend

My issue with this business was a lack of explanation and what I feel is dishonest billing . First I would like to say everyone was great the vet, the office staff from setting up the appointment to completion. I wish I could give 5 stars but due to billing and lack of explanation I can not. This clinic is listed on the adoption certificate from Pima Animal Care Center for a "Free or low-cost health exam." Next to their information is an * with the statement of "some restrictions apply with this vet. Please call for details." I called. When I asked about the details I was told that a standard exam is $65, and you get a discount of $65 for adoption, therefore the exam would be covered but any additional services would need to be paid for. What I was not told until after the exam and it was time to go is that the $65 adoption discount is not applied to the exam, that $65 is only applied to additional services. So no additional services requested by me and I have to pay full price. I believe that when setting up appointments and asked about this discount it should be stated up front that the exam fee is not covered by this discount. The only reason I decided to get a visit done was to have a post op (spayed by PACC) check up. If I knew I would have had to pay the exam fee no matter what I would have not gone to this clinic when others on the list given by PACC are free.

Gina Rooney

I knew my new-to-me mama kitty and kittens would be in good hands as soon as I walked into PAWS. Beautifully designed and decorated interior. The staff from the front desk, to the vet techs, to Dr. K. were so friendly, kind, and answered all my questions. They fed my underweight nursing mama cat lots of treats and food. Dr. K spent an hour with us for this first visit! Staff gave a follow-up call the next day. That is unheard of in the insurance driven human healthcare system. I must say, my pets are getting better quality medical care than I am.

Herman Singh Kahlon

I want to give this place 5 stars for having a great staff and nice office, but the price gouging time after time has gotten to the point where I felt the need to write this review. While $60 for a physical is not bad, every time I have gone there they try to upsell me things that aren't needed for insane prices. They pad the treatment plan / bill sheet with tons of things just so that they can charge you more. Was recommended $100+ probiotics for diarrhea that they insisted on after I said it seemed unnecessary... my dog didn't even end up needing it, her diarrhea cleared up in a day from the other medication. That same trip they tried to charge me to give her "fluids".... my dog can drink water just fine and wasn't acting abnormal or dehydrated. Also, was quoted $120+ for a medication only to find out it is $7 on amazon (same brand and all)...ridiculous. Every time I go there I end up telling them I don't need half the things they try to charge me for and the price drops a couple hundred dollars. Great place, but beware of the up-sale.

Exxeter Organization

Courteous, helpful staff, pleasant facilities, knowledgeable vets. Fees are reasonable.

Nate Taylor

The helpful staff at PAWS Veterinary are the best in town. They have taken amazing care of our baby girl, through the good times and the bad. Cannot recommend them higher to anyone looking for the optimal pet care in Tucson.

Marianne Carey

I bring my two "girls" (dogs) to see Dr. Aronson and Dr. Keaner. I greatly appreciate their knowledge, thoroughness, and integrative approach. Nutrition and supplements are recommended in conjunction with medicine where needed. One of my dogs is 14 yo and doing very well in part due to the recommendations of Dr. Aronson. My other is younger and has allergies. I appreciate Dr. Keaner not loading her up on antihistamines because the allergies aren't bad enough to warrant them. Conditions and recommendations are always explained thoroughly. The vet techs and front office staff are consistently friendly. I view the care my dogs receive at PAWS as a partnership in my pets health.

Lexx X

Love this place and the staff is marvelous. Great calming atmosphere, didn't have to wait more than a couple minutes past my appt time, Dr. Keaner was gentle and very professional and the BEST part was not dropping my jaw to the floor when I got the bill. I have all the confidence in the world that they'll take excellent care of my fur-babies.

Mary Boyer Phillips

Moved to Tucson in 2017 with hubby & our 3 dogs. Have been very impressed with the professionalism, knowledge, thoroughness and compassion of ALL Paws staff. Especially like receiving medical notes from our veterinarian after appointments - just like us humans do from our practitioners! Definitely worth the drive from southeast side of town.

Elizabeth Doerries

PAWS is fantastic. It's an AAHA Acredited facility and every aspect of treatment is outstanding and reliable. Our retired Guide Dog for the blind, Daisy, has been given the best of care by Dr. Geren Thurston. After a 5 year guiding …

Glenn Schneider

Definitely not the least expensive place in town! Good care by staff.

Lori Fitzpatrick

PAWS is amazing. We decided to try alternative medicine rather than surgery when Stanley tore his CCL. The staff is so caring and thorough. They spent 2 hours with us the first appointment. And the comfort room is so nice for the pups. No anxiety about going to the vet here. I drive all the way from Vail just to go to PAWS.

Britt Linde

Love this place and the amazingly competent staff. Dr Jobe is the most caring, knowledgeable, and honest doctor I have ever taken my pups to, and now she is the only one I trust with my pups. I have never had a vet spend so much time with me explaining everything, and giving me several options for treatment as well. I appreciate that she wouldn’t give my Max and my Coda any shots until we did blood work to be sure they even needed it. The front office and technicians are fantastic as well. One of my dogs is a little aggressive, and they could tell a i was stressed having him out in the waiting room, and immediately a technician came out and let me wait in a room instead with him. I appreciate the careful and thorough care Paws gives my pups!
