This place is amazing!! The staff could not be sweeter or more patient. My normal vet was closed and my dog was so sick, they were able to get me in for an emergency the day of and took such good care of my puppy! They were all so incredible when I was having a break down about my dog being so sick they gave me all the time I needed to make phone calls and make my decision. They were able to clearly update me on her condition especially when she had to stay the night there, they kept in touch so I knew how she was doing. I will be switching to go here for all my animal needs!

I have been to several of the vet offices in town, and I've not had a particularly bad experience at any of them, bit I feel New Frontier goes above and beyond. The front desk is the friendliest bunch of people you've ever met, and I've seen two of the Doctors there on multiple occasions and I couldn't speak more highly about both of them. I also just learned that they are the only vet in town that has a veterinarian that is trained to treat birds!

We used them way back in the fall of 2007 to have our mini dachshund neutered as one of the requirements to have him directly released to us when we got stationed in Hawaii. The staff were ever so lovely with our 8 month old little guy. He had severe separation anxiety so they did his procedure first. Unfortunately he was so distraught when he came to from his anesthesia, the staff called and asked us to come get him so that he could be more comfortable. We were told that if he showed any signs of stress or if we had any concerns whatsoever, to bring him right back in, free of charge. I know that when we move back, we'll bring both of our dogs here.

Absolutely the worst veterinary experience we've had with our dog in his 15 years of life. Dr. Weston was much more a high pressure sales person than a medical provider. She offered every product, test, and medication under the sun but payed precious little attention to the reason for our visit which was an infected pressure sore. When prescribing an antibiotic for his infection, she prescribed the most expensive option possible. When pressed, she apologized and wrote another prescription that was nearly as expensive. Frustrated, I asked for a paper prescription to take to a local pharmacy. The prescription that she wrote was less expensive at the regular pharmacy, but still not affordable. The pharmacist explained that there were many drugs that would be equally as effective for under $20 and he provided me with names and dosages of those drugs. I immediately called the Dr. Weston's office to see if they could rectify the situation as I had only left the office about an hour before. I reached the after hours line who refused to contact the Dr. Weston. And thus, we are here with our sick dog, a prescription we cannot afford (and we made this very apparent through each interaction), a knowing that the $20 medication could help our dog, and a veterinary clinic that simply will not help.

I called them about getting an ear hematoma fixed. I specifically requested to have his ear sewn and set up the surgery. They did not do as I asked and put a stent in I specifically said I did not want and had to get the requested surgery done over and over again. 3 surgeries and over $1000 later and my dogs ear still has a hematoma and suffering. The communication from the front desk to the doctor is very bad and they charged me for an office visit when I brought him in for surgery they rescheduled sending me away. I would NOT recommend this vet!!!!!!!

Our family I just moved here due to a military assignment. We adopted a dog and had to came into New Frontier Medical Center later in the evening when most of the local offices were already closed due to a possible allergic reaction. The staff ( Morgan) was amazing and I now will be taking my puppy to this practice. Did not have a great experience with another local vet office :( Wishing we could have initially came here!

I had a test for a breeding female dog that needed to be done immediately. I had taken other dogs to them on occasion when my regular vet was unavailable. They got us in, which was great, but gave her a Rabies shot when one was not necessary. They said my husband gave them the wrong vaccine certificate. That was a lie. My husband handed them the book I maintain for each dog, and the receptionist took out the wrong certificate. They then charged us $300.00 for a test that 2 other vets have done for a third of that price. When I asked for explanations, they told me that my husband signed an estimate--which he did--after he paid the bill, and that they gave me an estimate over the phone, which they did dot. Another lie. The office manager said that she wouldn't argue with me and that is was "obvious we did not have a very good working relationship". A procedure that should have cost approximately $130.00, was $416.00. They are more interested in money than client relationships.

I just had a call from New Frontier to discuss the review below (in quotes) and specifically the issue of this area having a dearth of vets on call for emergencies. As I noted, New Frontier is the closest we here in Sierra Vista are going to get in the near term when it comes to having a vet - some vet, any vet - on call 24/7 south of Tucson. I won't recap all the issues we discussed, but its not as simple as just staying open later or rotating doctors. One issue is security, which people-emergency rooms have for the doctors there late at night, etc. Regardless, the purpose of this update is to simple note and thank New Frontier for taking the time to call and spending a great deal of time to explain and discuss an issue of importance to me and other pet owners I've talked to. As it turns out, its an important issue to them as well and one they have tried to address - and do address the best they can with the resources they have, under the circumstances in Cochise County. So, hands down .... New Frontier is the best in the area. They can be a little pricey, yes, but its been worth every penny for us. If ever there is an emergency, I believe I can count on New Frontier to consider the situation and act or advise appropriately, totally in the interest of my pet - no matter the time or date. As we discussed, all you need do is call them. "Its free to call." Five stars, again. Earlier Review: "Best vet clinic in Sierra Vista, but you pay for it. Much more expensive in the comparisons we've made. But this is our vet and we are sticking with them. They are caring professionals. But note - NO ONE in Sierra Vista, including these fine ladies (all female crew of doctors and techs here, I think) will see your dog or cat on an emergency basis on a weekend or late at night. You have to drive to Tucson almost two hours away. We have heard more than a few stories of dogs and other pets dying en route after an accident, injury, sudden illness or snake bit. Its not right and New Frontier should try to live up to its name and put someone on call. I honestly do not understand it. Would love to know what the issue is. Regardless, New Frontier does have extended hours some nights and is very responsive to a point, like when we had a late night issue right at closing time for them. So, five stars compared with everyone else in town."

I can only speak from my own personal experience.... I have been taking my babies here since they open and I have never had a problem.. Think they can get better servers for their computer systems since they service so many animals and it crashes or pc is running slow but as far as customer service and petcare I wouldn't dream of taking my babies any where else.... 4 thumbs and 12 paws up from my household!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!

We took our friends Great Dane there while she was having labor issues. One of the pups (the big one) got stuck in the canal for several hours. They operated on her right away and were able to save 4 of the 5 pups still in her belly. They did an amazing job and cared so much about her and the puppies!

I have only amazing things to say about this place. First off, the spacious rooms. Our dogs loved the extra space versus being crammed in a tiny room (as some other places have), so imagine how delighted we were the day the New Frontier team offered us the opportunity to use a fenced area for our dogs' visit one day! A grassy area, shady trees, birds chirping, benches and lots of room to roam around and sniff. I have wonderful things to say about Dr. Drake. She always listened to our concerns (as worried doggy parents) and was always compassionate. We never felt rushed and she did a great job investigating the causes of our dog's aches and pains. She pinpointed Kaiser's neck pain the moment he entered the room and everybody was so great and patient with Petra who was terrified of needles. Most vets I had gone to in the past didn't care much about creating positive associations with vet visits.This is starting to change lately and more and more vet's offices are starting to consider ways to reduce stress in animals going to the vet. From the day I stepped in, staff here offered to give treats to my dogs (always asking me first) which was awesome because this to me was a sign they were considering our dogs' emotional well-being on top of their health. Along with the spacious rooms, and the vet's understanding and compassion, I knew straight away this was the only place in town I would want to take my dogs. Front desk was always courteous and I know how busy vet's offices get, but they were always smiling and willing to help. We no longer have our dogs unfortunately (both passed away at a good age, beating the breed's life expectancy), but New Frontier really took great care of our babies when they needed it and their service was always top notch.

Everyone here is super nice!! They have an extra waiting room that’s not in the main lobby; my dog is super suspicious of everything and was sick, she was able to calm down in the quieter room before we got seen. They took us back quickly, answered all my questions, kept her overnight with a check on in the middle of the night and filled her full of fluids, special food for a week and she is much better!!

Staff is very kind and compassionate. Most charges are reasonable. Only complaint I have is they changed me a $96 emergency fee as a walk in during normal business hours when I had my dog euthanized. I could understand the fee if it was before or after hours. I would still use them in the future and highly recommend them.

I have a cat that can’t be vaccinated. She had an allergic reaction and almost died. She can never be vaccinated again. I recently moved into the area from California and my cat needs her anal glands expressed. Nothing else. She is a healthy indoor cat. New Frontier insisted on a full exam. I said ok even though she doesn’t need it so she could have anal glands expressed. They would not let me bring her without giving her a rabies vaccination, even though I explained to them this was not possible. They weren’t nice about it or accommodating. They didn’t tell me until a few hours before my appointment although I called last week. They could have told me up front. It was difficult for me to switch gears so abruptly and have to find another vet during the Holidays. I will say that New Frontier has a big beautiful expensive clinic. Vaccinations run around $150, exam $50, procedure $35, total $235 to have anal glands expressed. I believe this is more about revenue than anything else. I never had an issue re her inability to be vaccinated at any vets in California. Why does an indoor cat not around any other animals need this anyway? $$$$$$$$$ I have found local vets that will take her , not forcing a vaccination she can’t have, only doing an anal gland simple procedure for $15. It’s not about the money as much as the principle of the whole thing. I am appalled at New Frontier Vet. Who do they think they are ?

I have been to Coronado Veterinary Clinic and New Frontier Animal Medical Center. From my personal experience I can say that New Frontier has provided way better care for my dog than Coronado. The People at New Frontier seem like they want to find out exactly what is wrong, rather than just throwing medications at it to see if it works. As far as previous comments of pricing, I did not notice any differences between the prices between the two mentioned clinics.

We always have a great experience taking our dogs here. Our dogs love it there, and the people who work there know both of our dogs by name and always treat us every well. One of our dogs is a bit aggressive, protective and can be a bit of a handful, but these guys handled her so well like a pro and got her taken care of. Definitely a great place.

Dr. Gudrun was fabulous - she discussed concerns about having a senior pet and gave us a referral to an eye specialist in Tucson. They even called to follow up on her progress. They are great! I had an emergency with my lovely dog after a surgery and they were very helpful! The technician was very gentle with him, the vet answered every single question that we had in that moment so difficult for us and they resolved the problem. Before we had a dog with cancer and they were very gentle and kind when we had to send him to sleep. It's a nice and very clean place. Also they have a special program if your dog is overweight. We are going to change his actually vet for them since we are going there only in case of emergencies because they respond quickly. I recommended it 100%.

I have always had excellent care for my cats from this veterinary hospital. They explain things clearly and are always willing to discuss care options for your pets. The staff are always friendly and helpful. A special shout out to Dr. Drake and Dr. Weston who are both extremely compassionate and have helped me deal with my pride of kitties, one of which not only has diabetes, but now heart disease. They have always been up front and realistic about treatments and I never felt like I didn't have options or choices. They also help in any way they can to find alternatives treatments/options that won't break the bank. They have also been extremely compassionate and caring the few times I had to say goodbye to beloved pets. I am sad that I had to move, because I will miss the excellent care my pets have received from NFAMC.

Our dog had a hematoma in his ear, we talked to the vet and she told us the different procedures done and which one she suggests. It was in her opinion the more effective to prevent future hematomas and was also healer because she doesn't put them all the way under, only sedated them for as long as the procedure takes. It was $500 less than it would have been at Coronado for all they wanted from us. I don't suggest Coronado. New frontier was the best. Plus they understood our dog as his over excitement after being touched medically. ( he gives kisses whether you want them or not). The vet at Coronado thought he was going attack. She obviously doesn't know how to read dogs body language..

Every time we have gone in, the staff greets Dobby the Free Elf like a little Celeb. I love taking him here and he clearly doesn't mind the attention. I also have a cat who is nothing short of a terror at the vet. The staff understands his needs, and works with me so that he can still come in and receive care. Additionally, the staff and the doctor have been quick to get back to me and flexible with my schedule. Treatments are expensive, but they are realistic about what's needed. I've had the doctor tell me, he might need x-rays down the line, but for now, let's try fluids and antibiotics and see if that helps. Much less expensive, saved me a ton, and helped my dog. They do look out for your pet and take your family needs into consideration. I was referred to them by a colleague and I've already referred others to them. They are the best.

I have a Narragansett Tom turkey who fell off his roost and impaled himself.The wound was infected and he had stopped eating and was in bad shape. Dr. Weston saved his life and the charge was not expensive in my opinion. They also sent me home with the proper antibiotic and everything I needed to treat Mr. Henry. He has made a complete recovery and the wound healed closed which I did not think it would! Everyone there was very nice and very professional. I am from Lexington, Kentucky and we have some of the best vet clinics in the world and New Frontier ranks right with them in my opinion!! They work with you and give you a choice of what you want or can afford and give you all the information you want.
