My dog Charlie loves to go to the 'spa' or to see Lorraine his groomer. Lorraine is so good with the dogs she grooms. The bonus, she doesn't use what I call the loud turbo dryer which frightens Charlie. She groomed my first dog KC and now my second dog Charlie.

The vet got us in immediately for an urgent care appt. The front desk was kind and offered to work my cat in for her eye problem. The vet is very seasoned and experienced. She was able to numb the eye and pull the membrane back without her crying. I was shocked the whole appointment including the medicine was only $124 on a Sunday. This is a very good, competent, ethical and kind vet.

From the hand-holding, sending of personalized sympathy notes, and donation to the Phoenix Zoo in honor of our late pup who we put down last year - TO - the support, care, love, and treats they give our new pup as we have had him checked on this year, they are like family to us. I have been impressed with everyone at Horizon Animal Hospital. The facility is the best I've seen for a veterinary clinic, the front office staff are welcoming and helpful. One of my cats has recently been diagnosed with diabetes and the vet was so kind. He even printed up materials on insulin and diabetes in cats for me to read. I had to day board my cats twice and they have a great setup for multiple cats with a large corner unit and a cat tree.

I have 3 dogs and I have been going to Horizon for 14 year's! I have for years been happy with Horizon Animal Hostpital. Well one of my Dogs past away which she was like my kid and was such a Angel, she past away with me at home in no pain she had cancer she was happy all the way to the end and I am so glad she went with me and in her home, so I brought her to Horizon so they could cremate her and I could get her ashes. So 3 days later I get a call from them wanting to collect and stating I had a outstanding bill, I thought they where calling me to tell me her ashes where ready to be picked up, when I have lost other dogs in the past I have paid when I pick the ashes up not before. And I lost my pet literally 3 days ago and I felt like a bill collecter was calling me and they sounded like a bill collector. I have spent thousands of $'s over the years with them and to call me 3 days after the passing of my dog was so in mis taste especially when her ashes arent even ready for me to pick up! I have never heard of anything so is mis taste in my life! I felt like all they care about is a Money! I will be picking my dogs ashes from them and I will not be taking my other 2 dogs there again! They have lost a client! I was amazed I didnt think they where in-caring like this. All they care about is the Money!

They’re fine as long as there isn’t anything actually wrong. Don’t get caught needing a real vet for a real injury, though. After watching her limp on her hindlegs (and being told she needed to “leave it alone for a week and see”) and then going back with still no weight (“It’s probably just still sore”) and then going back to insist on an evaluation (“we took xrays, and found nothing”) we were rewarded with never being shown the xrays and sent home without painkillers for an ACL injury and torn meniscus. All those xrays? Of the 10 taken?...9 were of the FRONT. Let’s nevermind that you cant see soft tissue injury on an X-ray, or that the one of the hind was of her *hips*, or that she’s in obvious pain. Let’s nevermind the muscle atrophy. Or the bills. Or the specialty food they try to push on you. My dog. Is hurt. And you failed.

Appreciate Dr Beth and her staff for the last minute rush to bring our little Baylee (our new rescue baby) because she was bleeding from her spay surgery 4 days earlier from a different vet clinic (North Phx Vet clinic). I am so grateful that not only were they open sat/sun but that they were doing all they could to help her - otherwise she would've bled to death because her blood was not clotting and she needed a transfusion immediately. Its the day after her transfusion and she has bled a little but thanks to God....she is acting more normal and will get her checked tomorrow. Be careful who you have to perform surgery on your paw babies....it is worth the time and effort to go to Horizon a vet you can trust!!

From the first welcoming phone conversation, to the siameese cat who greats all the incoming animals, the procedure for the claw removal, their follow up calls, -we always felt like they really cared. I have been through 6 doggies with Horizon, 4 now deceased. As I adopted 5 dogs, Horizon has been vital to solve problems prior owners abandoned along with the dogs. Horizon has been there for me with a caring attitude. Of the current two dogs, one boy arrived with heart worn, now with diabetes with the Somoygi effect. He's giving us wags and has survived until age 12 so far. One girl dog had bladder problems from probably birth. All dogs had complex problems! In the rare case Horizon doesn't know, they find out. I was lucky to find them when we moved to the Valley 17 years ago. Now, they have grown to offer weekend hours too! Thanks Doctors!!!

Great from the first call made to set up the appointment. Super quick and kind service for getting my fur baby's ear hair plucked - which cannot be fun as a dog! She was totally fine afterwards and they said she was a trooper. The price was much less expensive compared to other vets in the area. They gave me a heads up that she had early signs of an ear infection so I could start treating it. They were honest that she only had a significant amount of hair in one ear so only charged me for one ear instead of both. So refreshing to have an experience like this one! Will absolutely be returning and only returning here moving forward!!

Sadly, Horizon did not handle the end of life with my pet (of over 18 years) respectfully and Connie at the facility was not only short with me but also condescending when I called to change my mind about ashes or no ashes. Front desk assistants are just not trained to deal with these situations and Horizon either needs to do sensitivity training or have patients schedule the time with a vet to go over option etc. If your pet is end of life, do your research! There are caring vets that will come to your home and perform the euthanasia service. Don't do it in the sterile environment of the vet that makes a profit on your pain. My guy died at home but sadly no one tells you what to do when they go, so i entrusted Horizon. Sad mistake. I learned the hard way that you shouldn't leave your pet at the vet if they do go. They don't tell you when the cremation people will pick up your pet that is sitting in their freezer, they just speculate when it will happen. Instead, you should know that you can call a respected crematorium that will arrange pick up of your beloved friend, or you can take them yourself (google it) so that you have control of how and what happens to your pet. Also, always and I mean ALWAYS ask about side effects of every medication a vet prescribes your pet and google that prescription. Never take their word for anything. Also and most important, don't allow your vet to make a profit on your loss, or at least if you do, chose a vet whose front line staff doesn't treat you like you are wasting their last 10 minutes of the day "repeating details" that they were already filled in about. Shame on you Connie!

Absolutely the best! I did a lot of research in order to find a Vet for my Yorkie. Horizon Animal Hospital was always at the top of the list. Then I checked their website and loved what I saw. Being the former wife of a Vet; might have given me a little insight into Veterinarian world. I immediately made an appointment for my 2lb Yorkie. It was his first Vet check (outside of the breeder's responsibility) and I was looking more at personalities than qualifications. Horizon had both! Dr. Glover was AMAZING! She handled my little Yorkie and put up with all of my new-puppy-owner questions! I took my dog back again for another set of vaccines and again Dr. Glover was great! My Yorkie had another vaccine and he was in heaven with all of the attention from the staff! Staff members were all extremely friendly to me and my Yorkie. Everyone wanted to hold him, and of course he loved them back. Because of Dr. Glover I will always take my Yorkie back!

I've been using Horizon Animal Hosptand Dr Beth for years. I can always get an appointment if there's an illness, even on Easter Sunday! I have been taking my Boston Terriers to Horizon since they were born 9 1/2 years ago.The attention, care, compassion and kindness towards my pets shown by Doctor Glover, and Doctor Beth and the entire staff has been wonderful. I just recently adopted a12 year old and he will have his first visit to Horizon next week. I can't imagine ever going any where else to have care for our precious pets.

My daughters and I have been going to Horizon for many, many years, and trust them with our fur kids. They are always able to make room for an appt. when we need it, even an unexpected one. They have referred us to a specialist when the problem was beyond the normal. So they do not just experiment on your pet's treatment when there is something out of the ordinary. They always follow up with you to see how the patient is doing (even after a simple shot). Dr. Beth, Dr. Penn and Dr. Wendy are kind and knowledgeable, and I highly recommend them.

I have been taking my two dogs to Horizon Animal Hospital for over ten years. The staff are always so welcoming and the spacious front room gives plenty of space for nervous or perhaps more aggressive pets to stay calm and not feel cornered. The doctors always spend a moment soothing your pet with gentle stokes and kind words before even addressing whatever issue they may be having. I have also received friendly follow up calls the day after the couple of times my dogs have needed surgery or a special treatment. Wouldn't take my pets anywhere else!

I took our dog to see Dr. Penn when she had a hurt paw and was not putting any weight on it. After a quick exam Dr Penn made me feel silly for even bringing her in, that it was obvious that there was nothing we should do at the time. I am not the kind of person that brings my pet in for every little thing and don’t appreciate being made feel that way. His manners were awful and I had to pry information from him, it was not readily given. I also don’t fully trust his opinion and now we are leaving our dog, who seems to be in great pain, with a dog sitter and I’m very uncomfortable with the situation. I am going to find a new animal clinic.

My dog was injured and they saw us right away and got him stitched up. Everyone was over-the-top helpful. They even have crayons and toys for kids to play with, and a soda machine in the lobby. My dog was well taken care of, and they even called the next day to see how he was feeling. We just found a new vet! And they're open 7 days a week. So great.

*RINGWORM ALERT* STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET! We brought our cat in this vet for diabetes management. My cat came with one problem and came out with two. He got a RING WORM with the unsanitary practices of this vet. We spoke to the vet doctor, and said that he should got the spores in the vet, since my cat is an INDOOR cat. We told them that we should not be paying for the treatment since this is not our fault. We spoke to the practice manager, and she told us "IT IS OUR FAULT" and that we carried the spores into our cloths and we should pay for the treatment. NO ONE at home has ringworm, and YES! Me and my partner are both in healthcare industry, and we have our cat for more than 10 years, and he didn't ever get any RINGWORM. STAY AWAY! AND DO NOT GO TO THIS VET HOSPITAL. SAVE YOUR PET!

Horizon is FANTASTIC! I can always get in quickly and they are open on Sundays which is super convenient! Dr Patterson was great! She has a nice bed side manner, listened to my concerns and treated appropriately without over doing it! A few days after Rylee's appointment, one of the tech's called to see how he was doing! Excellent caring staff!
