I just got my little baby Newfie a couple days ago and needed a vet. After scouring the internet and reviews for ones in my area I came across Crossroads. The first impression I received after taking my first step into this office was homey. The front reception was big and very clean with a very kind receptionist who checked us in promptly. The nurse and the doctor were both very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. I will definitely be back!

Edit: Wanted to update this, everything I wrote below still rings true, however this year (2019) we've been seeing Dr Howard regularly, and she's absolutely amazing. Kind, knowledgeable, careful, and thorough, taking time to explain everything and all options, and I never feel rushed or pressured - couldn't be happier! I've used this clinic for my many pets needs since before they opened - back when they were at a different location in Chandler, and then when they moved we followed them here. Currently, Dr Garner takes care of my 6 pack of huskies along with my mother's chi mix. She's always been exceptional with them, acknowledging each one's individual needs and explaining everything to me very thoroughly so I can make the best decision for their situation, with no judgement if I choose not to do something. Everything she explains to me has also always matched any research I've done on my own, giving me peace of mind. Margaret at the front desk is always pleasant to see and interact with, along with all the rest of the current techs and staff. I've also seen Dr Howard when Dr Garner wasn't available and was very pleased with her as well. Everything is always clean and they take you to your room quickly, with no excessive wait. All around a very nice clinic and we'll be loyal to them as long as that continues to be the case! Thank you Crossroads, we appreciate you and your staff!

Very caring vets. Called a week after we were in to check on how our dog was doing. Still very happy here. Staff great, vets great. All caring. All take time to explain things. Get us in promptly when needed. Our dog likes to go and is not afraid (except when they take her temperature). That says a lot about a vets office.

Crossroads is wonderful and Dr. Howard is exceptional. One of our two puppies became very sick. Dr. Howard admitted him the same day and saved his life with a thorough treatment plan. She checked in with us daily and really helped us through the healing process after he came home. She also educated us on how to prevent the other puppy from getting the same illness. She was extremely patient, understanding, helpful, and kind. I can't thank her and Crossroads enough. As an added bonus, the cost for treatment was reasonable.

I foster rescue kittens. Most have come from feral colonies and have considerable medical issues to overcome. Recently, I decided to keep 2 out of the last fostered litter and finish the vetting privately. I took both kittens to this Crossroads (Gilbert, AZ) for exams, rabies shots and eye issue for one. I ended up with a $300 bill. I called the clinic a week later to let them know that eye issue was worse with the meds they prescribed and I paid for. They asked me to bring her back in-I was charged again for an exam (which they refused to remove)-total came to $300 plus for a change in medication! I was shocked. After looking over the invoice-I inquired how a very tiny tube of ointment could cost $192. They did some research-found an error and credited me. The visit was still $146 for a follow-up. The medication still did not help. I returned a 3rd time for a 3rd prescription/another $50. These were rescue kittens that would have died without care--and to be scalped by this Corporation. I might add-the Dr and the staff were fabulous for the most part-I am 100 percent convinced that this corporation is driven entirely by money and NOTHING ELSE! 2 fairly healthy rescue kittens (aside from 1 eye issue) cost me $500. A nice clean place to go with great service if you have unlimited resources to pay the Corporation. On the items that I price matched-the mark up by the Corp is 40 percent or better.....

Our puppy had broken her knee in a very difficult location and we were recommended to Crossroads because of the orthopedic surgeon on staff there. Dr. McComb did an astounding job in mending her knee, especially since it was such a complicated break. I was very impressed with their entire practice. The equipment used for Xrays and surgery were all of the latest technology and the staff was also very nice and professional. The prices were very reasonable and every follow up appointment was very personable and Dr. McComb really took the time to explain everything to us. Our puppy is now healing wonderfully and I am so appreciative that we found their hospital.

All of the doctors at this clinic are great, but a majority of my experiences have been with Dr. Howard and Dr. Smith. Both of them are fantastic! Not only are they great veterinarians, but they are both so incredibly sweet and kind-hearted! It is obvious they truly love and care about animals! Very rarely do they place your pets on the exam table to evaluate and work on, but instead always get down on the floor to the level of the pets and interact with them in a very loving way. They are always so patient with my animals. Dr. Howard is truly one of the kindest people I know, and she has such a big heart for animals. Truly a gem! You can definitely trust your fur babies to Dr. Howard and Dr. Smith!

We arrived on time for an 8:30 appointment and were taken to a room immediately. A tech came in and did vitals. Then the Dr. came in to examine my dog. All my questions were answered and information readily provided. The tech went over the cost of each item and game me to option of not doing a procedure. Everything was done in consultation with me. A very well-run practice. I would heartily recommend them.

I met her a few years ago when my Great Dane developed cancer, and the way she helped us both, going above and beyond, has made me a loyal fan for life. So I am calling around pricing X-rays to determine how many puppies my dog is going to have and this is the ONLY vet out of 12 calls that tells me that my dog needs two appointments at $56 each and an ultrasound for $532. Every other vet is charging a single visit and the cost of XRay--around $275 total. Something is a little fishy here....excuse the pet pun. I can only imagine what else is being overcharged for. Make sure you cost compare before going here--other vets are just as "nice" and may be half as much.

I am new to the area and own an Irish Wolfhound. I came here at the recommendation of my daughter and am happy to have found a staff that answers all of my questions. My IW friends had asked if I had given Emma a flu shot and when I asked the vet they said yes they give them. They did not push anything unnecessary on me at any point. Yes they are expensive, but there is such a thing as INSURANCE, and if your pet is family you should buy this. My first bill after Emma swallowed corn cobs was high, but it was necessary. It could have been worse. I have purchase insurance and in the future, my costs for such a large breed will be far less than the cost of the insurance. Their service provides a much better final memorial option as a standard for your pets. We received a clay paw impression from Mimi's little paw and her cremains were returned in a lovely, locked, wooden jewelry type box that has a heart tag, which bears her name.

Made an appt. for our one Golden and got an appt. within a couple of days. He wasn't terribly sick, so that was fine, just needed to figure out why he was having some eye issues. Definitely needed to be seen, treated his eyes one time in the evening, and the next morning the redness was reduced greatly. And I was told that before the next fireworks event to call and get meds for his anxiety. So easy to work with this group.

We took my ten-year-old dog to this vet. Spent $600 to diagnose the massive lump on his side and constant hacking up white goop. They diagnosed it as a bee sting and acid reflux. A month goes by and my dog had to be put to sleep. He had two tumors and his lungs were filling with fluid. Do not trust these incompetent people with your family members. I won't let anyone I know take their animals here.

I bought in my dog tonight her name is jessie because she had a hematoma on her ear and dr. Smith took a swab from her ears and found out that she had ear infection which caused the hematoma to appear on her ear it was very swelled. I was relieved that it wasn't anything more than that more serious but happy that dr. Smith took the time to do a swab from her ear to find out she treated both of her ears and checked checked her out and other locations just for a check-up and gave her some medicine and gave me instructions to go get a couple other things because she has allergies and we are home now my Jesse is resting and she's going to be good as new in a few days. I appreciate the great care from the nurses to the front desk to everybody at Crossroads veterinarian, and especially dr. Smith thank you for such great care of my pet . Bonnie

SO happy with this vet!! I made the difficult decision of shopping for a new vet after years with my previous vet. That practice made some staff changes so their earliest appointments were routinely 10 days out -- not cool when your doggo needs to be seen ASAP. I even tried sitting in their waiting room hoping to be squeezed in and was there for FIVE hours (with a very nervous, shaking dog). Not this vet! I scored an appointment within an hour of my call AND the appointment actually started ON TIME, as soon as I checked in! Both the vet and her assistant were personable, diligent, caring, gentle, thorough, empathetic to my poor doggo, and identified her problem within minutes! We were on our way home again within 45 minutes!! Appointments at my last vet routinely took 2-3 hours (NOT an exaggeration) waiting for a room, waiting to be seen, waiting for the treatment, waiting for the care plan, waiting for the meds, waiting to check out. My dog and I are both so relieved to have found them!!

The take advantage of your love of Pets by finding ways to drain you for every cent they can. Not possible to simply have your pet groomed without paying for other, unnecessary services. Have had dogs since over 50 years and have never seen such greedy people.

This is very hard to write given the circumstances but all of the staff here made the experience as good as one could be. We had to say goodbye to our 17 year old dog. The staff immediately took us to a private room to be alone and say our goodbyes. They were very patient with us, and walked us through what to expect. They made sure that everything was what we wanted and when we were ready. There was no rush or sense of urgency. What stood out to us the most is a couple days ago we received a sympathy card in the mail signed by the entire staff. It was not a necessary but a nice addition they made to try to comfort us during this difficult time.
