I needed to bring my dog in last minute as he was in serious pain. I made it just after 5pm and the doctor had already left, but the tech Heather still took the time to see my dog and was able to treat him while coordinating over the phone with the doctor. Needless to say they got straight to the point and now my dog is already making a huge improvement. Very impressed and will definitely be returning for future visits. Thanks again!

I have been taking my pets to Christown Animal Hospital for more than 5 years, my son take his dogs there also. Between us, we have 3 dogs and five cats and it seems like we are always at the vet for one thing or another. Dr. Sandhu and his staff are always so patient and helpful, no matter how many questions I ask. They are always willing to go the extra mile to make sure all of our pets get the best possible care. My dog once gave one of the girls a fat lip, she hates having her nails clipped and puts up quite a fight. I felt so bad, but she was so understanding as if it was "all in a days work" for her and on our next visit we were greeted, as always, with a smile. Another time, my kitten, who had just been spayed, developed and infection. Unfortunately, this happened on a Sunday when the hospital is closed. I called the emergency number and was able to speak to Dr. Sandhu directly. Even though I had to call more than once and was calling on his one day off, he was kind, patient and sympathetic. I followed his instructions and my kitty is 3 years old now and alive and well thanks to Dr. Sandhu! I feel like the doctor and his staff are a part of our family and they treat me and my pets as if I am a member of their's! Great care at reasonable prices!

We have a very sassy chihuahua who had a bad front tooth. After calling around about a tooth extraction Cristown was the most affordable by far. It's clearly a small operation, it's just Dr. Sandhu and a tech/receptionist. We got an appointment the next day and when we walked in we didn't have to wait, which was a welcome relief from my experience with my other vet. I was nervous that there was going to be some sort of hidden fee or something since the cleaning/extraction was so affordable, but there wasn't, he mentioned everything right at the top, a little extra for the post-op drugs and that's it. X-rays, bloodwork, toothcleaning and a tooth extraction for less than $500 is amazing. While making calls I got quoted $1600 at another place for the same thing. I was slightly worried at first because of the mixed reviews and I'm not typically an "internet reviewer" kind of person but in this case I made an exception because I had a really good experience. Dr. Sandhu can seem a little stern at first, but he's clearly a person who knows what he's doing and cares about animals and that's what I want in a vet.

I took my poodle there cause he was sneezing a lot and the Vet gave him a couple of shots and he got better, he wanted to do some lab work, I told him could not afford it, and he didn't push it any further. I would definitely refer my friends to this clinic.

I never write reviews on places but for christown animal hospital i will. So just after thanksgiving my puppy Repo got sick and he wasn't getting better he got really skinny and would not eat or drink i called 10 diffrent places and everyone gave me expensive prices to check him. I called christown animal hospital the lady i spoke with was very straight forward and the price was cheaper so i figured he needs to get seen. Thankfully there open late or i wouldn't have been able to get him seen. After getting there the 2 ladys wish i could remember there names immediately took repo to the exam room and done some tests he unfortunately had parvo they explained everything thoroughly and started treatment on him. They never once said oh he might not make it they were positive about him recovering after the first day i saw he was getting better he was walking around more after 3 days of treatment repo was doing great hes 100% over parvo and a happy puppy these 2 ladys saved my dogs life for around $400 they were absolutely great i will not go anywhere else also a good thing is they offer care credit which is how i paied for his treatment.

The doctor and staff show the utmost care for your pets. I have been taking my dogs here for a couple of years. I first found this vet when my 13 year old pit bull, who was ridden with cancer, needed to be put down. He was caring, let us spend as much time with her as we wanted before and after it was all done. I took another one of my dogs here after she got her lips/face caught on a fence and basically shredded the skin on her face to pieces. The doctor was able to get her all patched up and sent home in 1 day, she had minimal scarring . He worked with us on the price and always gives us options when we take our pets there.

I actually give him nothing if I could give him a minus 200 I would. Let me explain I took two perfectly healthy dogs to him to have your nails cut one had a little bit of a cold the other one did not a week and a half after he seen my shepherd He became very ill I took him back to the vet he gave him some medicine and a shot 3 days later he died weird because he was just running around all healthy before I took them to him. My other dog was a pit gentle as all hell she was raised around an autistic child she loved caring for kittens puppies and children never bit anyone only saying this is set the mood as to what type of an animal she was my shepherd was the same way never attacked a bit anyone loved kittens puppies and children. Anyway we took the pit over to them because we wanted her nails cut a few days later she started feeling ill we took her back to him he gave her a shot and some pills exactly 5 days later she would refuse to eat started having a lot of issues lost a lot of weight drastically had to take her back to him he recommended her be put down because she was too sick he said she had kidney failure. So we had to put the gentlest pet you would ever want to meet to sleep. I don't understand what happened why two perfectly healthy dogs became ill that fast and died something ain't right with this doctor I wouldn't recommend them to my enemy. so if you want your dog to be alive you want your dog to live a long life do not take him to the vet.

I took my dogs to get groomed for the first time there. The staff was nice, but I wasn't satisfied with the grooming. One of my dogs was left with a big bald spot under the neck. We noticed till next day, I called but she claims it was already there. I didn't want to argue, I just won't be taking my dogs there anymore.

(would give zero stars if possible) I took my Bengal kitty to this vet thinking they were reputable and respected. I took my dog here to get fixed and they did a good job. But my whole opinion changed when I took my cat to be declawed. I took him in and picked him up the next morning before going to work. His legs were wrapped in outdated bandages, that hurt the cat when taken off. Due to his irresponsibility my cat is now losing his leg because he left a tourniquet or rubber band inside his leg(thus cutting off his blood circulation for 3 weeks at least). We are EXTREMELY upset that he will loose his leg. His medical bills and antibiotic medicines have been through the roof, and still his leg can not be saved. Our cat is being well taken care of now. This message was written with the sole purpose of warning fellow pet owners. Please think about it before taking your loved ones to this vet. God bless.

If you love your pets DO NOT bring them to this vet. Spend a little more money and take them to a vet who actually cares about the animals not just the money. This doctor will tell you he can treat your pet, your pet will show no signs of getting better until their body gives up and they die due to lack of proper treatment. If it wasn’t for this doctor I could’ve got my dog real help instead he gave me false hope said my dog had absolutely nothing wrong with her and she died within the week because of his ignorance. He had nothing to say when I called looking for answers except that he didn’t know how to explain it because he saw nothing wrong with her. Please don’t take your pets here.

This Dr. , without a doubt has someone composing fake reviews on here to keep a 4.0 review score on Google. Please take a moment and read the 1 start reviews.. these people are not lying. This Dr. does not care about your pet. He just wants money. This is coming from a very loving pet owner who had to learn the hard way....

The Dr. and staff are absolutely amazing! The Dr is always honest about what tests are needed and will tell you what the other options are. He told me about tests that could be done but that he did not think were necessary, instead of trying to talk me into unnecessary tests and options. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable, as well as very friendly. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats that all get treated , as well as boarded there. I know my babies miss me when I leave but I also know they love everyone there, and are treated with love and kindness. The staff never complains when I call to check on them, and I appreciate that. I have recommended them to several friends who are also happy with their service.

Do not go here. First off, it's empty. That should tell you right away it's not a place you wanna be. I took my new dog in for the free visit you get after adopting from Maricopa County animal control and shelter. He attempted to tell me my dogs temperature which was 101.7 was high and her incision for her surgery to get spayed was red. First off the average temperature of a dog is 101 to 102.5 and I was watching her incision and could tell it wasn't infected. He said I should get antibiotics and I immediately told him no. He's a scam artist who will rob you blind if you don't do your homework. He has nothing but time to create the fake reviews you see on here as the place was completely dead. Stay away from this money-grubbing POS.

This place was okay. The lady in the front was awesome. Friendly and professional. When I asked if I could get the medication cheaper somewhere else the doctor said no there's no way maybe like 5 bucks cheaper. After looking into it I can get the same one for $4 instead of $20-25 that they were charging. And the other one is over the counter medication so it was a lot cheaper as well. On top of that he said its $5 each medication for him to write it out so I could get it at frys. So I recommend that if you go here and need medication I would look into pricing instead of just going off what he says. Seems money hungry to me.

I have been going to this clinic for over 10 years now with multiple animals. The clinic does not over charge or try to squeeze more money out of you like most places. The doctor is extremely experienced and knows what he is talking about. He is not some vet that is fresh out of college with no experience. While he does have better pricing than most vets I'm very unsatisfied with how he handled my dogs visit. I took her in for a teeth cleaning and asked if he could call if he runs into any issues. My dog is only 9 and I of course never expected any issues. I never received a call from him so I went to pick her up after 4 like instructed. I asked if she had any extractions, they advised no she was great however after doing her blood work for the anesthesia we found out her kidneys are failing... so they knew her kidneys were failing before they put her under to make an extra 400 on cleaning her teeth and never called me to advise their very significant findings until i went to pick her up?!?. I was in shock and didn't know what to do or what to say or ask. Rather than him take the time to fully explain to me what I had in store for me, or maybe other options I could pursue, or other remedies or treatments I feel he instead took advantage of my state of confusion and lack of information to help me make the best desicion and instead he sent me home with one $50 IV (i can get 10 bags through the pharmacy for $25!) And $100 bag of kidney food (which most vets suggest to stop feeding dry food and switch to raw and natural) my bill went from 400 to 800. The whole experience made me feel as though he's only interested in making a quick dollar, his empathy skills definitely leave a lot to be desired as they are non existent and the fact that he never called me to ask if I still wanted to have her teeth cleaned due to the fact that she could die in a month is unfathomable to me. Better to make that money than be upfront and honest with his patients, that's his motto. Feel free to take your pet here for vaccinations but I certainly will never take my fur babies back here for anything else.

Like others this Vet should took advantage of me as a very worried female pet owner; prescribed surgery or dog would die, took exays showing no blockages, when questioned him how opening my dog up would help..didn't have an answer....talked down to me...took my dig home, where he recovered completely( no thanks to this chauvinist vet)...and still healthy 3 years later...took him to new vet a year later, and told what happened and said he should be reported!!!

The doctor pinched my dogs incision only to say that he sees redness in the area and that antibiotics are needed to prevent infection. This guy has no morals and can't even look you in the eyes as he spews his nonsense. NOT RECOMMENDED!

He nursed my little puppy back to health by recognizing his respiratory infection when we took him in and gave him the appropriate medication. Always very professional was very gentle when drawing blood from my labradore retrievers this vet is upfront and honest even recommend i mix all my dogs stool samples so he would only charg me for 1 test instead of 3 test . my experience with cristown animal hospital has been great no bs ! The one good thing was what I believe a correct diagnoses and treatment plan. The rest was awful. We were in about a month ago with our very sick cat. The tech brought us into the room and immediately started to panic as her temp was 104. Said she was awful and going to have seizures and die. While that may have been true, we're here to help because we know she's sick. Please have a little tact. She then looked at her teeth and said "Awful! Just awful!" and left the room. This cat is almost 16 and sick. My mom was in tears. Even if all that's true you work on your delivery! It was unreal. Next the vet comes. Says she's very sick and quotes an outrageous price. We agree to blood tests and another tech comes to get her. Doesn't ask if anything is wrong and picks her up. We're practically yelling out the door at this point about her hurt leg...we then hear her scream. They handled her so roughly. I've never heard an animal scream like that for blood work and fluids. We got antibiotics and an ulcer treatment, paid for critical care food and were on our way. We came back a week later as her fever returned. We asked to do fluids at home and were quoted $120 for two weeks worth. We asked for one and we're quoted $70 so we took that. When I called to get the prescription for food I was going to be charged another $5 for the numbers! It all seemed so unreal. I would never recommend this place. The cat was also referred to as a he even though she was a she. And the medicine bottles said canine on them. Just a little strange when you add it all up.

Great office! Vet tech was very kind and the doctor was patient we me. I had my puppy and my one year old son with me screaming the whole time and they were very patient. I recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a good vet. They also do lots of other things like boarding and grooming.

I've been a loyal customer for over 9 years and it is great to be able to take my pets to a vet office where the staff actually cares about your pet! I've been to other vets here in the valley before I found CAH, and I was very disappointed that most offices treat you like $$$ signs. The staff is very sensitive to financial situations, and is very clear and up front about services performed and prices. It is always very busy in the office, therefore, please be patient!! I have regularly brought my 2 large dogs, 2 small dogs, and cat to this office... And I have also used their boarding services often, and my pets are always soooo happy when I pick them up, so I can tell they've been treated well!!!

I highly recommend this hospital. I took my cat Angel there after a burglar threw her out of my back window and fractured both hips. They treated her like she was one of their own pets. The vet tech was so gentle with her being in so much pain. And so was the doctor. They've also seen my big boy Lucky and have treated him the same way. Both of my cats are up there in age. They've treated them very well.

This place is terrible. I will never go back. Took my rottwieler puppies in to get tails docked and they were left super long. Everyone knows that rotties tail should be just a nub not left 1 inch long on a puppy. If i could post pics i would.

At this point..I can honestly recommend this veterinary and office based on the experience..a short story..for several years I was BLESSED to be a caregiver for my mother.. Sedona..her dog was a caregiver also..before my mother passed away..she asked me to take good care of Sedona..while we both miss my mother ..we have become more close than ever over the past few years and i don't want to lose her too..she became missing for several weeks and after posters..a nice couple had contacted me.however her foot had become injured..and while the people tried to help the foot became worse..I was so relieved to have her back..but had never seen anything like what the foot looked like.. someone recommend ed this veterinary..partially based on the lower office visit...this is not a shirt or car needing repair but my living breathing family member that I love..you cant imagine my deep worry and concern..this vet is good..this is part of what I liked..he was able to make a diagnosis that was correct..what he said was correct..I was allowed to go along abd watch the exray treatment and exam.... after her surgery on our return visits..I was allowed to be with her during subsequent exams abd follow-up treatment..that's important to Sedona and I.. since I didn't yet know the doctor and it helped Sedona to see me there..I wish it were me instead..but couldn't change it..her foot andsome of the leg had to be removed..however after several weeks she adapted beautifully and was running and playing again and actually happy.. the doctor was very skilled and very fair and considerate in his pricing..I really liked that he did not pressure intimidate or try to manipulate me..I repeate..he did not do that..he said it as it was ..yes I can recommend him.. Sedona will need a second surgery because she also had a separate condition..a growth in her abdomen..that he has recommended surgery for..but after her leg healed..I will be taking her in to see about it..if anything changes I would say so..but I'm really satisfied with the veterinary care and treatment here at Christowm Animal Hospital..

I decided to give this place a try. The staff is friendly however the front desk is extremely disorganized and unable to answer basic questions without grabbing the Vet. I worry about their ability to care for my animals if they are that challenged to run their business. I will not be back and I would not recommend this facility!

$35 for office visit so less than many vets. He gives you all options including at home remedies and doesn't try to force extra testing on you. You get the option but don't have to take it which helps in case of money problems. He has saved us so much over the years because of this. One dog of mine recovers great with fluids and by skipping the extra tests, we save a lot. He showed us how to bind up a cat's leg and the cat healed completely with just office visit charge. We have used the boarding and our dog was in great shape on our return. I do appreciate having the ability to drop off our pets when they need stitches and can pick up afterwards. The emergency vet makes you stay and those things can take a very long time. I've been using them for years and with multiple animals, they are a life saver!

This is the worst place ever DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS LOCATION! My dog had long hair and I sent him to be shaved... His hair is sheard he still has long hair on a good portion of him, his skin is full of scratches, they tried to cut his nails and they did half of them and not well done and also they don't even ask for vaccination!!!!! niether for a phone number to call you back whenever your pet is ready to go home..... They don't deserve to have a single star.

I took my pup here and found out he had parvo. We were told we had a few options: leave him at the hospital in quarantine, his chances of survival would be higher(90%), another option was to take him home with us and take care of him there, his chances were 80%. We decided to take him home, that way he'd feel comfortable with us by his side. We made 3 consecutive visits, and our boy was given IV fluids those 3 days. However, our visits were short. Not even 10 minutes. Which I thought was weird, they didn't give him enough fluids or any sort of medication for us to take home. We weren't even given specific instructions on what to feed him or what to give him. We had to do a lot of research on our own. Our pup passed a few days later. From the beginning, we could tell Dr. Sandhu didn't seem to care much for our dog, but we continued to take him there with hope that maybe we were wrong. Please do not take your pet to this facility. The only reason I did was because the ratings seemed great but after losing my boy, I realized all the ratings must be fake. There's no way, this facility is 4 stars. I regret taking my pup here and I do blame them for his death. He was a happy pup and he will always live in our hearts.

I would like everyone to know that I've had nothing but excellent experiences each time I've used Christown Animal Hospital. When you call for an appointment, there is never a problem with getting the one you need. If you need to walk in without an appointment, they make room for you and your animal immediately. The animal is always their first concern and if there are financial difficulties, they are more than willing to work with you. They always give 110% to the animal's care and always follow up to make sure the animal is doing well. Their prices are more than reasonable and there's no price changing once the animal has been looked at. You know exactly what to expect when paying. I took my Pomeranian-Chihuahua here because his eye was watery and squinting and this was the only vet who could see us same day (so I suppose they have that going for them). However, my dog was in pain and was not wanting anyone to mess with his eye. The doctor had me put a muzzle on him and then he barely took a 3 second look at the eye and said "he has a scratch" and proceeded to give us Amoxicillin and Prednisone. Nearly 3 days later, after following all instructions and administering medications as indicated, my dog was NOT getting any better, so I took him to another vet (an AMAZING vet btw) who looked at Cujo and nearly immediately guessed that he most likely had something in his eye. when Cujo would not let her look at the eye, she decided to sedate him with a little gas and put numbing drops in his eye. This allowed my dog to relax enough for her to find a 1-inch foxtail embedded in his upper eyelid! And guess what??? NO SCRATCH! Cujo was immediately 100 times better once the foxtail was removed - he was able to finally open his eye without pain. Although, by this time the foxtail had created a horrible ulcer underneath his eyelid which the doctor could not have scene with the 3-second exam he spent on my dog! My poor dog for 3 days had this sharp, prickly foxtail in his eye which SHOULD HAVE BEEN REMOVED ON DAY ONE IF THE DOCTOR HAD BOTHERED TO DO A THOROUGH EXAM. What's more is that this amazing vet that by the grace of God I found, who is now my full-time vet for both my dogs said that the medication he was prescribed wouldn't have helped in the first place! So this first doctor made me pump my dog full of antibiotics and steroids for NOTHING! My dog is now on eye drops and ointment for the ulcer created by the foxtail being up in his eyelid for so long, but he could have lost his eye if I hadn't taken him for a second opinion!!! If I had relied blindly on this vet at Christown Animal Hospital, my dog could be facing much worse circumstances. I called the vet and requested a refund, which they of course, rudely denied. Their customer service is awful. The exam was a joke, they misdiagnosed my dog, they prescribed him medications he DID NOT need, and I didn't get so much as an apology. My dog went through what I can only imagine to be pure hell for 3 days and they won't even acknowledge that. I am taking this to the Arizona Board of Veterinary Medicine, the Better Business Bureau, and whoever else will listen. These people are a danger to animals. They could have just offered an apology, processed the refund, and I might have been able to look past it. However, their lack of professionalism, business ethics, and complete lack of compassion on top of my fear for the safety and well being of other pets is pushing me forward. Again, I strongly urge you to think twice about bringing your pet here. The cost is low, but you get what you pay for. If you are needing a vet to get your pet in same day message me - the pricing is even the same as Christown - only they have a staff that actually cares about pets and knows how to care for pets.

I have had very good service for my puppy as a new client. The doctor is very professional and the staff is very caring. I feel however that it is very expensive. I have looked up other places and the same preventative services cost less. However, once I know a place, it's hard for me to change. I'm overall satisfied so far. We'll see in a few months.

It is easy to get an appointment, staff is friendly and all have treated my dogs with care and kindness, prices are very reasonable and there are never surprises - I've compared prices for vaccinations and Christown Animal Hospital had the lowest. Dr. Sandhu always tells me upfront how much a procedure or test will cost and the choice is mine. He also is very good about explaining my dogs' medical needs and necessary procedures or tests. First off, that German Shepherd, his name was Keanu. He was not only my best friend, but my Service Dog for almost 9 years. To explain, I took Keanu into hom after he started rapidly breathing the next day. I was concerned it was a panic attack from the fireworks, and it has to do with heart or something. When he got there, my mom and I took Keanu into an exam room. The female vet assistant was very nice to Keanu, and she helped me get him up on the lift to be weighed and such, but the when I get can in, he barely touched Keanu. I told him i was concerned about his heart, but the vet insisted his heart was fine. It was suggested that it could be an upper respiratory infection, so feeling relieved we had went home with antibiotics for Keanu. I called them 2 days later and told them that Keanu was refusing his meds. The female assistant suggested putting the meds into something tasty. Keanu started getting better. Then on July 11, 2017 my precious baby boy, we went to sleep and never woke up. I have to say that the female assistant was helpful when I brought Keanu in for cremation. However, I do believe Keanu had been mis diagnosed and as a result he died from it.

I was referred to this Vet by another Vet when my dog needed an immediate surgery that was going to cost way too much for me to cover. Christown Animal hospital got us in immediately, did the surgery, & in just a couple of hours I had my dog back home sleeping in her own bed. I took my sick little dog there on a Saturday. The office visit was affordable, and the staff was friendly. Very quick service, no waiting and doc came in quickly. After examination, Doc offered me choices of treatment and I took what was best for me. Med prices were a tad higher than I was hoping for but over all my experience was good. I moved to Phoenix 4 years ago. Back in Texas, I had the same vet for over 20 years. So it was hard for me seeing someone new. With four dogs and two cats, I really needed a Vet! Christown Animal Hospital was only five minutes away. I started taking my pets there. Now i was uncomfortable for the first several visit with a new doctor but I always got in and out in a very reasonable amount of time. More importantly, I would take a sick animal in and bring home one that was recovering! They always took care of everything the first time! Over the years I've taken them a new puppy and they got her off on the right track. I have a cat which is 20+ years old and we are making her as comfortable as possible as she nears the end of her life. The doctor and staff have always been great and I couldn't be happier with my selection. I started going here because they were close but I could move and I would continue to visit Christown Animal Hospital....this is were all my animals belong!

I will NEVER go to this vet again or even recommend them...First off I get there and the Dr and the Tech both looked like they hated their jobs neither one of them smiled at all, they were so rough with my poor girl trying to draw her blood most vets I go to they try to comfort my babies NOT THIS PLACE...then they tell me it's gonna be about 20-30 mins for the results of her progesterone test to get done, The Dr comes out to tell me that we missed her cycle and that she is way too high already which didn't make sense to me because I had just taken her to my original vet last saturday and she was only at a 0.04 how could she jump all the way to a 50 in 6 days? So everyone I told was telling me to get a second one done so I went to my vet the same day and she was at a 4.59, So I called these guys back to let them know that their machine must be off and the Dr got real nasty with me. I am really upset set that I paid the $80.00 FOR NOTHING they gave me false information and really bad service.

Dr. Sandhu is a kind, down-to-earth and honest man with a simple and no-BS family business. Yes, the building is an older one and it's a small place, but... he took grief and heartbreak and turned it around for me in very real ways. He taught me how to do subcutaneous fluids on a cat of mine rather than insisting on being the one to do all procedures. He recommended ways to really get her to eat and do what we can to save her life, rather than selling me a 22-dollar bag of cat food that she might or might not eat. As of this writing, my cat is still not out of the woods, but she is better than she was. And so am I. I will be recommending every friend I know that needs a good vet to come to Dr, Sandhu--and not just becase of his moderate prices. This is a good vet with a huge heart. He's in it to save animals, not to line his pockets.

My 6 year-old golden retriever, Riley, died today. I am not blaming his death on the veterinarian or any of his staff. In fact, anyone would have been able to predict that Riley was on his way out just by looking at him. I come from humble beginnings and was looking for a place that could take care of my dog in an economic manner. Christown Animal Hospital could not do this for my dog, or any animal for that matter. I was introduced to Christown Animal Hospital when my family got 2 little Chihuahua puppies. We took them there to get spayed, and there was some confusion surrounding the operation and the charges. Perfectly understandable – people make mistakes. Yesterday’s visit was our second encounter. Total charges for blood work and medication to treat symptoms was $300. The blood work took 24 hours, so the following morning I called the doctor to get an update. He rattled off scientific terms, and somewhere in the middle of his chanting he must have made a diagnostic. By the end of it, I was confused as to whether or not my dog would make it. “What are his chances?” I asked. “Low.” “What would be the cost to treat him?” “$300….$400…$500.” That doesn’t sound right, does it? I asked them to get a copy of the blood work ready because I would be by to get it in 10 minutes. Once I showed up, there were “papers all over the doctors desk” according to the receptionist (the one I had requested the document from), and it would be a moment. Second and third mistake. Riley had been taken over by autoimmune hemolytic anemia. There were ticks all over his body. The vet that I eventually took him to educated me (in human terms) on how it took over, and before he even suggested I knew that our only choice would be euthanasia. Realistically, treatment would have been thousands of dollars and Riley would have never been the same. Riley, you are my first love, and I was prepared to sell my soul to be able to save you if there was the option. Instead, I paid $300 to let you suffer for 24 hours while I shoved candy down your throat. That was my mistake.
