I’d give them no stars after what my husband informed me of today. Last year we had our first puppy (we weren’t experienced at all) and we relied on the vet to help us ensure his health. We signed up for a monthly plan - which they never followed through with. They had told me all his shots were taken care of after the first three months... and I figured that I’d be informed if I did miss anything. Moving forward we spent hundreds of dollars for no reason and even trying to get what we were promised was a hassle for them. I’m upset because today my husband decided to cancel the monthly fees since there is a lack of communication on letting him know why he’s paying still past a year and they immediately send an email about when more first year shots are due & that means they get even more money if I do decide to go through with it. It’s also funny because the dates are listed after the cancellation day and he’s now past a year old, such a horrible measure to drag your monthly paying customers back. It would’ve been nice to actually receive that email earlier and not charge us for services you failed to give. Hopefully management can help us out, this is borderline fraud... I’ll follow up with the email and the phone call log, I’m surprised this happened!

Excellent care. 43rd took our dog as a new patient and a same day emergency appointment while our vet told us he couldn't see us for 3 days while my dogs eyes were swollen shut from a cat fight. So we started using 43rd for all of our pets. We moved to Goodyear and still drive the 40 minuets to bring our dogs to 43rd animal hospital. I would recommend them. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

I love the way they treat my pets. I have a nervous that leads to aggressions dog. They try their hardest to make her as comfortable as possible but still get done what needs to get done. My biggest concern is the lack of communication. Almost every visit, we will call when this comes in or we will call to let you know about that, the call doesn't happen. I've had to call and get mean and nasty to get a response and called back. I don't like that. If it weren't for the issues with my oldest dog, I would go elsewhere. I do want to make it perfectly clear, they have to utmost concern for the fur babies. They care deeply, I just think the fur parents get left out.

I had an appt with this Vet but the night before my appt. I had to take my cat to another Vet cause her condition got worse. The other Very was who my family and myself have always used. They made me feel like all they wanted was money on the low end they have me an estimate of $500.00 but I didn't trust what they were saying I asked them to give her an antibiotic and took her home to clean her wound I called here the next morning and spoke with Betsy. Explained what happened still keep my appointment to make sure my cat was ok. Audrey assessed her and the Dr. Dirty don't remember her name. Looked over Kitty cleaned her wound. And assured me she was ok.

When, on occasion, we have been forced to take our pets to an other animal hospital due to an emergency on nights or weekends, we are reminded anew how special our friends at 43rd Ave Animal Hospital are. They treat our pets like the family members they are, and everyone who works there seems to love and care for every animal that comes through their practice as if they were their own. This is the finest veterinary practice I've ever done business with, and we always recommend it to friends who are looking for a family vet. One of the things that I really love about this practice is the follow-up call we get after every visit or procedure, to check on the welfare of our pet. If every physician who treats humans took the time to do this, the world would be a healthier and kinder place. You can trust the welfare of your fuzzy children to these wonderful folks. We certainly do.

The people at this place are absolutely amazing. I'm so glad that I discovered them. The level of care they provide is top notch. They treat you like a real person and they take the time to really get to know your animal. You are not treated as a number here. They truly care about you and your pets, and they don't try to sell you things that aren't necessary. My dog and my cat are both clients, and the staff always spends a lot of time loving on them every time I'm in there. You can easily tell that the staff are true animal lovers. What really solidified my love for this place though was when my cat and my dog had a conflict over food last week. It was ugly and ended in an all night emergency room visit for the cat at a different vet. The cat is totally fine now, but a day or two after the incident, my veterinarian herself at 43rd ave vet called my cell phone to ask how my cat was doing. I thought that was really awesome. Thanks guys!

I was moving from Tn. To Arizona. My animals had left in transport and we got held up in Tn. So one of my animals died with transporter and the other 3 where riding out west in a van with the transported no where to land because I know no one In Arizona. Well my vet in Tn knew Dr. Mel in Arizona and her and her staff took all my animals in asap and cared for them like they where there own. And got top class treatment, because from what I understand they arrived in pretty bad shape. They ended up staying with 43rd animal hospital for a week. And upon my arrival after a week at the vets with a bunch of tlc I could see they had been through some ruff stuff. We are all back together except for my Tara girl who died being transportered With a "professional transporter" of a heat stroke. I will forever be greatful to 43rd animal hospital and the staff. If you ever need help for your animals try here first

My Baby Boi has a knot that has developed on both sides in his groin area and black spots on his skin that appeared over a month ago. They also have him on steroids for a skin condition and he has to have regular check-ups. The soonest they said they can get him in was two weeks. Come appointment time and they rescheduled and it was another 2 weeks. With his condition getting worse I'm getting really concerned. We go in for the next appointment that they had set and they tell me they cannot see him until we pay off my other dogs bill even though baby boi`s bill was paid and we had payment for that visit they would not see him because they combined my other dog Marley on his account so until I pay for her they will not see him even though his bill is caught up they also denied the refill on his prescription until he is seen so now he's without medicine and he can't get into the Vet because they won't see him. I never asked for them both to be on the same bill in fact I wanted to separate accounts for them because he's got medical conditions that he has to be seen all the time. He is paid off and have money for that appointment and they refused treatment for him and he is sick I'm livid. I can not give five stars to them as I did in the past if I could give lower than 1 * I would. I am also changing veterinarians to one that will care and have concern about the health of my Baby Boi. If you love your pet as much as I love mine you will not take them to this veterinarian for they are only out for the money and they allow the receptionist to run their office. I want to add that when we asked to talk with the doctor we were asked to leave the property by the receptionist. Very disappointed with the way I was treated. If I would have had the money trust me I would have paid it but I did not have the money to pay off my other dog's bill and the fact that they were both on two different plans and I had one dog before I had the other one makes no sense to me why they would put them on the same account also if they would have let me known my first appointment that they cancelled that I had still owed money I could have had the money to pay the bill. They didn't tell me until I walked in for my appointment that took me over a month to get (for an emergency) for him!

My 2 dogs and 1 cat like going there. The dogs seriously drag me into the place. My cat doesn't like riding in the car, but relaxes once inside the building. They are most accommodating with your work schedule for appointments. And if you can't get the appointment you need they have a drop off service at no extra charge. The whole staff makes you feel welcome and a part of their 43AAH family.

They're a great group of people. My MinPin was being difficult, wouldn't let them take blood or give her shots, which was unusual for her. They suggested going into the back room where the ceiling was higher, room was larger and that my dog wouldn't feel the need to be protective of me. They were able to do all the services and my dog was as happy as when they took her. They really know the psychology of these animals and work hard at not traumatizing them just for a procedure. Dr Strylie and the entire staff at 43rd Ave Animal Hospital are top notch. From the minute you walk in you are warmly greeted and rarely have to wait but a few minutes before being taken back to an exam room. The vet techs are very friendly and caring to both your pets and you. This is not the "fast food" version of a veterinarian clinic. They actually take time to examine your pet and ask questions before telling you what they think the problem may be. But, on the other hand, don't expect to spend hours there either. They are very efficient and understand how valuable your time is. My family has been taking our pets there for years. You should too.

First off I find it very terrible that if you give them a bad rate the owner does not respond , but if you give them a high rate their quick to say thank you, they should be responsive to everyones complaints and gratitude. I'm very angry with this place took my cat because he had worms paid for the Dr visit but did not receive any meds for my cat, they said we had to order them and that I would receive an email by the end of the day with the medication needed I called them 4 times until the last minute they closed and asked about the email for the meds they kept saying I will get it by the end of the day and still I never received it. I would never bring my pets here for something so simple as a dewormer not being available.

Our little Maltese had been having a terrible time since her cherry-eye repair surgery at another vet a week prior. The eye was swollen and draining and just looked awful. We brought her back to that vet twice but he just kept blaming the dog: "she must be scratching at it." Even though she had a cone on that prevented that. We brought her to Dr. Striyle at 43rd Ave. Animal Hospital for a second opinion. Dr. Striyle knew just what to do and correctly recognized that it was the bad suture work that was causing irritation to the eye. She was able to remove the sutures without any sedation and less than 24 hours later our little girl's eye looked way better. Thank God for Dr. Striyle.

Each office staff member is extremely kind and genuinely concerned about your pet's health and well being. I have been here three times beforehand for my dogs and once for my cat.
