Don't even deserve one star,my little poodle mix rescue is now blind and suffering a severe infection due to the surgery at the Winston-Salem,NC office. Be warned,they are not accountable and I'm having to sue...

They promised to not change patient care or client interactions when they purchased our practice. However, they refuse to pay our staff comparable wages for our city and have cut our staffs hours to less than 40 hours per week to avoid paying those who are willing to stay an extra 10 minutes to provide exemplary care and service. As a result, we are so understaffed that patients are suffering, clients are angry and more of our excellent employees quit each week. In addition, their demands to change our prices and continually increase them has led clients to refuse medications and treatments for their pets. If you are considering selling your practice to PetVet Care Centers, please reconsider. Over the past year, I have watched too many people and animals suffer because their only interest is how much profit they can make.

They took over the practice I was taking my dogs to & it was a COMPLETE nightmare. Do not go to a practice affiliated with this company. It’s about $ not the animalnor continuity of care.

BE WARNED : THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU The South Wilton Vet Group in Wilton, CT is owned by the PetVet Corporation. My friend brought her bleeding parakeet to South Wilton a few weeks ago. She was told by the vet that they would do their best to save the bird but that it would cost $1000 and possibly more. My friend, who is a full time dog rescue person, told the vet that it would be difficult to come up with $1000 or more all at once at this time. The vet gave my friend two choices. Choice one was to pay the full amount up front. Choice two was to SURRENDER OWNERSHIP of her pet bird, which she had had for 7 years. In addition, she would have to pay $300 to the South Wilton Veterinary Group. She was told that the $300 fee was to cover the cost of euthanasia and cremation. MY FRIEND WAS TOLD THAT THESE WERE THE "ONLY" TWO CHOICES SHE HAD AND THAT THEY WERE NON NEGOTIABLE. WHEN MY FRIEND QUESTIONED THE ETHICS AND REASONING FOR SUCH A POLICY, SHE WAS TOLD THAT THE PRINCIPLE INVESTOR IN THEIR VETERINARY GROUP WAS A CORPORATION OWNED BY A HEDGE FUND AND THAT SOUTH WILTON WAS A BOTTOM LINE MONEY BUSINESS. Be careful in choosing your vet. THIS COULD HAPPEN TO YOU. ps: If anyone should know the name of the hedge fund investor they are blaming their policy on, please let others know.
