It takes a lot for me to write a review on a place.. I have to either be extraordinarily satisfied or dissatisfied. In this case, I am pissed. The lady at the register gave my dog a treat and tried to get him to sit before asking for my permission. I'd like to believe that the employees would have more respect for their customers when they are talking to the customer behind them. We have a strict way of training my puppy and this lady broke that for us today.

Very poor customer service from the clerk. Wrong information and she was rather short. I ended up spending probably 20 minutes checking out because I had to exchange an item due to misinformation. I have shopped this location before and didn’t have the same experience.

My husband and I have been here more times than we can count. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We are first time pup owners and super were super overwhelmed, however, the staff had been extremely comforting, optimistic and reassuring. They have so much passion for what they do. We have also used the grooming services who are wonderful! They were to gentle with our pup and they give you a progress report after the service. Love this store.

Would give a zero. We arrived a few minutes early. 2 staff walked in. Never acknowledged us. Completed ignored us- as if we were invisible. Another customer walked in. They were checked in first. Still NOTHING was ever said to us, not "We'll be with you in a moment... Nothing! Finally after waiting 15 minutes the woman said, "Did you bring your paperwork?" Not "thanks for waiting or sorry to keep you waiting"...Nothing!! Bad customer service. We have used Petsmart grooming in another city before and never treated as poorly as at this location.

Charged for a standard grooming (cut and bath) but after we got in the car I noticed that his cut was uneven and he still had trimmings all over, which means they didn't give him a bath. They called me earlier than I was expecting, so I'm guessing they just rushed through it without any care or attention to detail. We've stopped going to them for grooming and hardly go there for any other pet needs.

The PetSmart staff are great. I've brought my APBT here for training, the pets hotel and grooming. The only downfall is that they don't accept Pitts for doggie day camp playtime with other dogs but he enjoys going and getting a 30-minute playtime with staff. My pup gets excited every time we shop and he recognized a staff member from his stays. I love that they provide a review of his boarding and daycare stays as well as behavior and needs during grooming.

I love taking my dog here for grooming! They do a fantastic job and they are extremely kind to me and my dog. However, today, I had an incredibly subpar experience with a woman who works in the front portion of the building. I am not entirely sure what her position is, but she was extremely rude. I was standing outside the building at 7:55 with an appointment at 8:00 and she walked up and told me I needed to wait outside for “5 more minutes.” Which, I can understand. I have had people let me in and wait, but maybe they have changed their policy since then—who knows. A man walks up a few minutes after me (still before 8) and she lets him in and I walk in shortly after. She rolls her eyes at me and tells me I can come in. Now it is just the man and I waiting inside for the groomers to arrive. Instead of bombarding them before they are setup, we wait at the entrance. She, again, rolls her eyes and tells us that they are waiting on us! The attitude I received from this woman was unnecessary and unwarranted. Her customer service skills were well below the standard that I receive every other time I have been into this PetSmart.

Staff is friendly and helpful! I was looking at replacing a harness, and they allowed me to try them on my dog and have her "test" one out around store! It was a perfect fit, thankfully... and, they had 2-feet training leashes! I would give 5 stars, but I had a couple staff members be a little more short when I wouldn't allow them to pet my dog or give her treats. Overall, I would recommend. They do well at greeting and keeping shelves stocked!

I stopped taking my dog to pet smart for boarding and grooming after o left her there for a few days and picked her up and she had dried poop all over her hair on her rear. I decided to take her there on Sunday against my better judgement. Her normal grimmer was booked out until June. I stoped her off and of course she didn’t want to go. After being there less than an hour I get a call from one of the workers there telling me that I have to pick her up because she had a scab under some hair matting and now she has a open wound. Which is news to me because off course I spend a lot time with my dog and try to brush her hair as much as I can. So I picked her up and she’s completely shaved except her head and the hair around her nails. Not the first time they’ve made me pick her up unfinished. The told me that if I take her to the vet they will pay hr vet visit. Not even sure I want their money because these are straight up liars. Instead of owning that they cut my dog who is very little (less than 8lb) they lie to make it seem has though she injured herself prior to her appointment had a scab and not it’s open. After looking over her cut over the last two days, it definitely looks like the people there don’t know what they’re doing and cut her with the clippers. Picture provided. Please don’t be fooled by their high reviews, take your dog somewhere where they will really car for them, not a lot of turn over and actually know how to groom dogs. My dog’s groomer does a great job with her. Last December we cut her hair super short to grow it all back out. She had no cuts or scrapes. My dog doesn’t spend a lot of time outside and doesn’t hang around sharp objects. So to lie in my face about it, this place has definitely lost my respect. I won’t even be shopping there what so ever any more. Nada. When I first got my dog someone told me don’t take them to pet smart, all the lawsuits they’ve had and that was the best advice I received. I’m super upset at myself for think this appointment would be any better.

This is the third time I've been to this location. Some of the employees here are really great but others don't really seem to care all that much. whenever I come the guy with the eyebrow piercing is extremely helpful with my fish tank and seems to know what hes talking about. however some of the other employees look like cant seem to answer basic questions about anything. I don't know how Petsmart trains their staff but is shows with some of them.

His name is Will and he helped me from the moment I walked in all the way to checkout. If hes not the manager he should be because he was so sweet. My dog has always gotten her nails trimmed either by the doctor or by PetSmart in other states. She has even been groomed and trimmed at all the places I took her in. This store said she was afraid of the blow dryer, but she is dried that way at home. I have had her for the full 10 years of her life and have never known her to nip or bite a groomer. I guess she is getting the at home service. Haha. I am really confused about her reaction towards this place.

Not a great experience at this location. I called in the morning and asked some questions about getting my dog's nails trimmed. I said I've never been there before and how does it work etc. They said no appointments and they'd be there "until 7 or 8." When I got there, they said I needed proof of her rabies vaccine. Fair enough, but couldn't they have said that over the phone before I drove down without it? As per our vet's suggestion, we gave our dog a light tranquilizer before getting her nails trimmed. They also did not mention on the phone that they don't allow any form of sedation. So we drugged her for no reason. Again, fine if that's their rule, but it would have been nice to know. Is a little weird that they are making that decision over a vet. Later, we went to the other petsmart on dimond and they were fantastic. The girls took 5+ min letting our dog get used to them and giving her treats before bringing her back. Good customer service, which the muldoon location was clearly lacking.

A pretty great selection, but prices are all over the place for basic necessities. Sometimes you can find really amazing deals, and other times, you're ponying up for that one thing you can't find anywhere else locally. Everything was well stocked and maintained, and we loved seeing all the different varieties of pets available for purchase/adoption. The grooming services are pretty decent, and is one of the only places that will accept a long-hair cat for grooming.

I will NEVER go here ever. The grooming manager Shawna is a horrible person. I overheard her saying she was going to punch a dog in the face while I was waiting for my husbands dogs nails to get trimmed. I recommend NEVER going here and NEVER leave a live animal in thier care. Not a very caring bunch. I will be doing a Yelp review as well as I do Social Media for a living and know that they can hide Google reviews which is why we see only the good. Which is simply not the case for this salon.

This is a great community. If you have a dog, bring him to PetSmart and you'll feel like you're at a backyard party with all the conversations that people start with you. Avoid this practice if you are associated with WITSEC. You never know who'll be there. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. They care a lot about the health and welfare of your dog. They probably care about other animals too, but that shouldn't be held against them.

My puppy just spent 5 nights at the Petsmart Hotel on Muldoon in Anchorage and I don't recommend it for puppies. They didn't feed my 15-week old puppy any of the food I left (with instructions) and returned the food to me at pickup. Instead they gave her, what I'm assuming was, adult dog food because she now has VERY bad diarrhea. (Thanks!) They also returned a chewed-to-pieces slow feeder that was supposed to suction to the inside of her food bowl that I dropped off with her. Upon inspection I found they labeled her food dish with her name on a sticker (ok, fine) on the inside causing the slow feeder not to suction in place (that's brilliant). The report given to me at pickup gave themselves a rave review and didn't mention anything about my puppy (such as the bad diarrhea and the chewed slow feeder, or the pee-soaked dog blanket that was returned with all her toys in one bag!). I would NOT recommend this pet boarding for puppies. They clearly don't know how to follow instructions, nor do they know how to care for puppies in a boarding situation. Lesson learned.

They have really great sales all the time. The rewards program is great. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful. Today my mom came with me to get a fancy mouse as a friend for her baby mouse at home. Shes never been to Pet smaty and I tokd her ahe had to come here. She and I spent over an hour looking at the mice, hamster, snakes, fish and all the dogs that were brought in by owners. We got a sweet fancy mouse and new collar for our puppy. I wish they had a petsmart in Wasilla. The lines are longer then normal lines but everyone is usually so friendly that theres arent the grumpy customers. They also have a pet hotel and other services but I havent used them yet

My wife and I brought our long haired cat in for grooming and a dry shampoo. We (unfortunately) opted for the furminator option. She has some mats that we knew would require to be cut out. But when we got her back she still had a lot of residue left on her coat - like a crustiness from too much dry shampoo spray. She has bald spots on her back. It looked like the groomers worked on her back and really only those spots. A good portion of her coat looks like they didnt even touch it with a brush. The couple mats she had could have been easily clipped out with a scissors because they were not that close to her skin that they required shaving. We've taken her to Petsmart grooming before at other locations and were very pleased with the result. I spent $90 to have someone shave her bum and brush bald spots in her back and ignore brushing the rest of her. At this point I'm happy they only brushed her back, I can't imagine what damage they would have done to her if they focused that much on the rest of her. She seems fine, other than seeming a little sensitive on her back when we pet her. Will not be returning. Ever.

I have been coming here since I got my puppy almost four months ago. I can say is that the best thing about this location is the staff. Frank and Will have been the kindest associates ever and are always showing a lot of love to my dog whenever we check out. I tried going to Petco in Teterboro and did not receive the same service those two give me every time I walk in. The store is also very clean which is an added plus because most pet stores aren't the most sanitary of places.

I love Pet Smart! The store in Garfield hasn't been open long but is already from what I saw not very good at cleaning the tanks and cages. There were bugs in almost every one I looked at. The people working there are nice. I did mention it when I was checking out and I was told "tomorrow is cleaning day" not sure how often they are supposed to be cleaned but it needs to be done more often.

I stopped taking my dog to pet smart for boarding and grooming after o left her there for a few days and picked her up and she had dried poop all over her hair on her rear. I decided to take her there on Sunday against my better judgement. Her normal grimmer was booked out until June. I stoped her off and of course she didn’t want to go. After being there less than an hour I get a call from one of the workers there telling me that I have to pick her up because she had a scab under some hair matting and now she has a open wound. Which is news to me because off course I spend a lot time with my dog and try to brush her hair as much as I can. So I picked her up and she’s completely shaved except her head and the hair around her nails. Not the first time they’ve made me pick her up unfinished. The told me that if I take her to the vet they will pay hr vet visit. Not even sure I want their money because these are straight up liars. Instead of owning that they cut my dog who is very little (less than 8lb) they lie to make it seem has though she injured herself prior to her appointment had a scab and not it’s open. After looking over her cut over the last two days, it definitely looks like the people there don’t know what they’re doing and cut her with the clippers. Picture provided. Please don’t be fooled by their high reviews, take your dog somewhere where they will really car for them, not a lot of turn over and actually know how to groom dogs. My dog’s groomer does a great job with her. Last December we cut her hair super short to grow it all back out. She had no cuts or scrapes. My dog doesn’t spend a lot of time outside and doesn’t hang around sharp objects. So to lie in my face about it, this place has definitely lost my respect. I won’t even be shopping there what so ever any more. Nada. When I first got my dog someone told me don’t take them to pet smart, all the lawsuits they’ve had and that was the best advice I received. I’m super upset at myself for think this appointment would be any better.

Do not take your dog here to get nails trimmed. The two women who did mine seriously hurt my dog. He was screaming and yelping the whole time, and then she twisted his ankle backwards and wouldn't give him a break. She then twisted his paw back and he barked his upset bark and tried to bite her. Which he has never done. Ever. To anyone. Period. He is the calmest niecest dog and has never acted this way while having his nails done before. They made him bleed on multiple nails. And then said it was my fault because we didnt have his nails cut every 3 weeks. He usually has them done every 4 weeks and since we just moved up here it has been about 5 weeks. He should have not had this bad of a time. I will never come back to this place and seriously hope you will consider another place before ever going here.
