We have been taking all our cats here for 18 years. Everyone is fantastic but I can't talk highly enough of dr Angelo, who has been by our side through happy and sad moments. Her professionalism and compassion are without equal. Dr Carberry is an absolutely first class surgeon and I can't thank her enough for everything she did for us. Dr Shah is a very special , not just doctor, but lady, someone who always goes way beyond her duty to ensure that pets do not suffer and are treated with love and compassion in the most professional manner. Sierra and Stephanie are absolutely amazing ... Thank you so much for everything ! I am sure I have inadvertently left out so many awesome people working here. I would not trust anyone else with our cats' lives !

Tonight my girlfriend and I found ourselves in need of bringing our cat to the vet after suffering a back injury and our options were limited at 11:30pm. We came across Oradell and made the 20 minute drive. I’m glad we found this place because we had a great experience. The facility is very clean and done well and the wait time was not bad at all. The doctor immediately identified the issue and we left with a medication regimen and plan to get our cat back to her old self!

honesty at its finest

I was welcomed very nicely the door was opened for me since I was carrying my 13 year old bleeding dog. As I started to cry right in the middle of the lobby I was approached with water and tissues I appreciated that. But the wait time to be put in a room and to be seen by a doctor was unacceptable. My dog started bleeding more and more I had to get out of the room and ask for help. Finally the doctor came ran tests and I got the worst news ever. I had to put my dog of 13 years my best friend my first dog down. After the bad news I was treated very nicely. Wait time is horrible. It was an emergency she should have been seen ASAP. And they knew she was on her way to the hospital. Receiving the paw print in the mail took a while as well too

I use Oradell Animal Hospital as my regular veterinarian as opposed to just for emergencies. While their prices are a little high, their service and warmth far exceeds any other veterinary practice that I have used in the past. Every single person in this facility, from the front desk, to the pharmacy, to the check out, to the doctors, is kind and has mountains of patience. I never feel rushed through any of my visits. Dr. Angelo is amazing and sweet. She always calls me back when I leave questions for her and is willing to explain everything to you. i could not recommend this facility enough.

We have been coming to Oradell Animal Hospital since we found out our dog, Midnight had lymphoma. The chemotherapy gave us another 2 years to have time with him. Oradell also takes care of Bosco. We are always greeted with a smile and Bosco has made many human friends. I highly recommend Oradell to anyone who wants to bring their pets to a facility where everyone cares about them and their owners.

I brought my dog to Oradell Animal Hospital since I could not get a same day appointment at his primary vet. I knew I'd wait a while as a walk in but never did I think I'd wait for FOUR hours to be seen by the vet for 10 minutes. The staff was courteous and Dr. O'Malley was wonderful, but because of the wait I would never come back here again. Be ware if you are considering bringing your pet here as a walk in.

I will NEVER go here again. Although Dr Winters, the ER vet was compassionate nothing happened as we were told. Instead of a deposit, The front charged as the entire $2600. Which was exorbitant in my opinion for keeping our pet in an oxygen cage over night & monitoring him. Then the next morning we were supposed to hear from Internal Medicine doctor between 9-10am to come up with a plan which could possibly include a transfer to another hospital. I had to call twice before finally speaking to a vet who was NOT internal medicine and by then it was noon. Even then we didn’t get answers just pacified. 1.5 hours later (with time being an issue we still hadn’t heard anything). I called to let them know we were transferring to another facility & would be there in 45 minutes (time still being a very important factor). When we get there I had to wait at least 10 minutes to get him AND they pulled his IV even knowing he was going to another hospital immediately. So, he got put through having to be stuck again. I will NEVER use this facility again. Sadly, although the other facility gave us an answer on what exactly was wrong our fur baby didn’t make it. Please save your money & go elsewhere.

The kindness, compassion and dedication of Oradell Animal Hospital is PRICELESS! Special thanks to Patti, whom gave my husband and I the most SPECIAL gift anyone has EVER given us! And for that, we are so very THANKFUL!!! The love, compassion and dedication that was given to our dog Silk during his emergency visit due to a car accident is PRICELESS! Needless to say, we will always bring our Silk here moving forward for any of his health needs, as he we were treated not as customers, but as family. Thank you to the ENTIRE staff for demonstrating that you CARE!!!!!

The worst experience ever! Our family went to Oradell yesterday to take our puppy, a 10 month old lab mix, to get checked after noticing a limp. Not only was the reception staff unpleasant, but our Vet Dr. Rebecca Handlin was SCARED OF OUR DOG. During the check, the Vet jumped and would put her hands to block our dog every time he made the slightest movement. After waiting over an hour, we decided to ask for an update only to be told that sedation, let alone the xrays weren't even started. Apparently our pet was not high priority in the ER as per the reception area. We decided to go home since we hadn't eaten and our toddler was fussy. When we returned, we were shocked to learn that they attempted to sedate our dog 3x (without notifying us beforehand), was told he had chewed through a USB Mouse cord because they had him tied to a station ( we were not notified), had to do an xray of his stomach (without consulting with us), and he still was not ready to be picked up. The staff informed us that they waived the stomach xray fee (least they could do) and prepared us that he may be lethargic, vomiting, and have diarrhea due to their negligence. Our dog left worse than the way he came in because he was so heavily sedated he couldn't walk straight on top of the limp, which the vet still couldn't provide an answer to. We requested to have our pets records to take him to another hospital. The poor negligence of this vet, DR REBECCA HANDLIN, along with the poor care of the staff who were supposed to be monitoring him caused our pet to leave with more concerns than what he went in for. We will definitely be closing monitoring him and it would be in the hospitals best interest if he doesn't experience further complications or we will be consulting with Lawyer.

The absolute BEST when it comes to an Animal Hospital and your Peace of Mind as a pet owner. This hospital is State of the Art and have the Best and Most caring Doctors and staff! My pet Hazel is my 2nd pet to be taken care of by this hospital and I wouldn't go anywhere else! I live in Hoboken and would travel hours more just to bring her there for checkups and all of her wellness care.

ayesha davis

This hospital is extremely disappointing. My guinea pig had a critical emergency and I asked if I can be billed because my financial situation does not permit me to pay today. They denied me care. I asked if they are going to let my guinea pig die because I can not pay today. A receptionist by the name of samatha said to me, “as a pet owner it is your responsibility to take care of your pet”. I asked if I can purchase critter care so that he would not die and she said that the critter care is for paying patients only. Is is disgusting and disturbing how they run there facility and I will do everything in my power to get justice for my pet and to expose how they run their hospital.

Very warm and caring doctors and staff. They make you feel at home and at ease. And they speak the truth, We’ve been going for over 20 + years. That should tell you something!

Kory Gunnz

Me and my wife came in as an emergency. Our poor dog guiness of 9yrs old was having breathing problems lost vision trembling and collapsing. He peed and pooped himself on the way there. He was having issues for 2 weeks and out regular vet had him on medications. He was getting better then took a turn for the worse. When we brought him in they took him immediately while we filled out paperwork. The staff was very helpful including the trama doctor. Dr. Fosset was very kind soft spoken and explained that he was 99% sure he had a brain tumor to to all his conditions and the type of meds he was already on. In the end we had to lay him to rest as he most likely wasnt going to make it much longer and was just going to get worse. They gave a us a room to be with him and even let me hold him while they did it as too keep him comfortable. They gave us great brochures for what to do next. They did the kindest things they could to make the loss of our little boy a little bit better.

You pay 2 - 3x the price for insincere "care" from the doctors and rude receptionists (from my experience). They definitely seem more like a hardcore business than a compassionate animal hospital. If you choose Oradell, be prepared to have your wallets milked for every last drop

Bonni Laudato

I used to just take my animals to Oradell for emegencies, but now I use them for all vet visits and I am very satisfied

Michael Vaughn

Pleasant experience working with the staff and doctors at this animal hospital. They seem to really care not only about our animals Health but also about affecting our wallet. They were very conscientious over the entire cost of just the visit. Once they estimated our orthopedic surgery to be near $6,000, they referred us to the ASPCA Animal Hospital in Manhattan for a much reduced surgery cost. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Claire Giegerich

This hospital does a great job with emergency visits and has every type of specialist you can think of. Unfortunately, they do take every penny they can, even when they are unable to help in any way. I brought my dog in to see a neurologist, who couldn't provide any answers. We ended up putting him to sleep during the same appointment. I was surely charged for the full appointment plus the euthanasia. Some regular fees in case anyone is wondering: emergency visit $180; specialist appointment $195; euthanasia 16-100 lb canine $235.

Rudest front desk ever! I've been going to Oradell for over 8 years. My experience there has been hit and misses. My dog Bella was there for almost 3 days last week. The 2 doctors who took care of her are amazing. Dr. Winters and Dr. Griglack, who is currently treating our other dog. I called today to rescheduled an appointment with Dr. Griglack. The first person who helped name Peggy was AMAZING....unfortunately she could not accommodate my schedule, she ask that I call back and see if there were any cancellation. So I called back and Analise (I hope I spelled it right since she stated I would probably get it wrong) answered the phone. I explained to her the situation she did not have anything open and then she mentioned the actual visit was not with Dr. Griglack but instead with an intern. I have not had the best diagnosed/experience with interns, the last time I saw an intern she suggested I put my dog down. Thank God I did not listen to her. My dog lived another 2 years after that. So as you can see I did not feel comfortable with the an intern checking my 15 yr old dog with Severe Heart Failure. From there it took a turn for the worse. To make a long story short. I don't think I will be bringing my dog Bella to Oradell. This person had no compassion or etiquette. She was arguing and being combative with both me and my husband. I've overlooked many things at Oradell but I will not be spoken down to.

I would never recommend anyone take their pet here for emergency care. My cat had severe eosinophilic IBS and suffered several small bowel obstructions. He ultimately died at the age of 2 from this disease process. The first time it happened to him we didn’t know what was wrong. I took him to Oradell and they wrote it off as just another cat vomiting. They didn’t listen to anything I was saying to them when he was in triage. They just wanted to give him fluids and send us on our way. I insisted that something was terribly wrong with him and became increasingly distraught bc of how sick he was, which they completely ignored. I was in scrubs, as I am an anesthesiologist. Instead of listening to my concerns, the nurse who was taking care of my cat started insulting me saying she hopes that I will never take care of her in the OR. And, btw, I trained at an IVY league institution, and you can bet I let her boss know exactly what she said. Following this incident, I took him to Blue Pearl in Manhattan. They were excellent. They appropriately triaged him and sent him straight to the ICU, diagnosed him with small bowel obstruction via ultrasound, and took him to the OR for an exploratory laparotomy to relieve the obstruction. My cat could’ve easily ruptured his bowel, become septic, and died at the hands of the people in Oradell. I will never go there again and I do not recommend anyone else does either. They don’t even deserve 1 star.

My cat, Rachel, is a patient of Dr Koenig. Rachel is a 15 year old calico. Words can not express enough good things to describe Dr Koenig. His truly caring nature comes out each time he sees Rachel. He is gentle, yet thorough. He shows such compassion and caring for her health and well being. It comes through in the tender way her handles and talks to her. He always discusses, with me, his findings in easy to understand details. He makes sure I have all the necessary information I need to make the best decisions regarding Rachel’s long term health needs. His knowledge is extensive and current with the latest advancements in his field. He helps me decide on what options are best for her without pressure. He acknowledges my feelings on quality of life for a cat Rachel’s age. His only concern is her well being, comfort and continued quality of life. I could not ask for a better person to care for my girl.

I recommend this hospital to any pet parent. My dog was almost dying when I brought her in. She stayed for the night. It is a little pricey but worth it. Now my baby is doing great. She's playing like a normal doggy. This hospital saved her life.

I came here earlier to have my bearded dragon taken care of waited over 2 hours for them to finish their procedure. Just to get home and findout that she would have to go back again. Once I got there I told them it was an emergency but yet I had to wait AGAIN over an hour and a half to be seen. At that point I had to ask the lady’s at the front desk if I can put my bearded dragon in a heated tank. You spend a lot of money here for bad care.If you are looking to bring your bearded dragon here DONT!!! It is not worth the hassle. $800 dollars for stitches is RIDICULOUS!! Again they do not know how to take care of reptiles any person would know that a animal that lives in the heat should not be out of the habitat for over 3 hours.

Amy T

I use Oradell as my regular vet because they are the best! I've used other emergency/specialty hospitals in the past and would never go anywhere else since I started using Oradell.

Jared Mijares

I've taken two pets to this hospital. Most recently, I had to bring my 7-month old Pomeranian puppy who had accidentally ingested caffeine pills. It could have been a fatal incident had there not been an animal hospital with 24-hour emergency care in my area. My dog survived and is now in perfect health thanks to the very professional staff of Oradell Animal Hospital. The facilities are excellent. I'm sad to say that this hospital for animals is better than many hospitals for people that I've seen in third world countries. The top-notch care and facilities come at a rather hefty cost. You could see that this place has a lot of overhead expenses. I would only take my beloved pets here for emergency care. For non-urgent cases, I would recommend seeing your local veterinarian.

Arrived with my 3 hounds for scheduled appointment, seen in a timely manner. Doctor was very through in his exam of all 3. Some health issues with the old man, and discussed some possible alternatives to treat/follow up. Called back with the old mans labs and again discussed alternate options. Will check back in about 3 mos. while keeping on eye on him for any abrupt change in activity.

My dog is receiving weekly chemotherapy from Dr Dennis Bailey and his staff. I am very happy with my dog’s and my experiences at Oradell Animal Hospital. Dr Bailey is very kind, caring and thorough. He was willing to talk with my entire family, including my kids, about my dog’s cancer and her treatment. It is very easy to see that he has my furry family member’s best interest in mind and her quality of life is of number one importance. He contacts me after every treatment and is always open to discuss any questions and concerns I may have. In addition, all of the staff we have been in contact with at the hospital have been absolutely wonderful. They have been nothing but sweet and loving to my doggie!!

My Bella was hit by a car.

Went above and Beyond. Thank you Dr Freeman and all the doctors that helped Sundae and her puppies. Thanks to all the staff as well. I highly recommend this Animal Hospital.

Took my cat for a surgery here. While speaking with the cashier to get an estimate, was told something completely wrong.

Rajeev Das

Excellent Staff and facilities. Appointments are punctual. Dr. Jamie DeSantis is absolutely incredible. We have a stubborn English Bulldog and have no idea how we would have managed without his patience, understanding and knowledge. Wonderful doctor.

Patricia

We love our vet at Oradell Animal Hospital, Dr. Jamie DeSantis. Thank you for the years of great care!

Monica Eanelli

Everyone very professional and friendly, level of care superior.

I went there late at night because of my baby suclata tortoise. I called before arriving asking about the CRACK my tortoise had on its shell and what could be done. They asked me to come in only to be told they do not mend broken shells. So overall they just had him checked regularly without being able to fix the biggest issue I went there for. And the visit alone is $190. They told me what I researched alone on Google and what my REGULAR vet could've said for only $75 the following morning. I guess they care more about the money and are willing to have people come in for services they can't even provide. Very disappointed. The overall bill was over $300 for fluids they supposedly gave my tortoise which they did not do in front of me nor did I ask/was told they were supposedly going to do. Because they took him away as I waited in the examination room. They couldn't even bandage him up. Such scammers. I take all my reptile pets to All Creatures Animal Hospital in Pamona, NY and they are great. For anyone reading this you should too. UPDATE TO THE REPLY I RECIEVED. FU. My pet was dead early this morning so thank you to whoever for the "diagnosis" on him being okay and that his shell would heal on it's own. You people didn't know anything about shells to begin with and yet claimed my baby sulcata was gonna be okay. He's dead. So NO I wont be calling this vet or taking anyone else there ever again. And I will make sure to spread the word on the actual vet places that are worth the TIME AND MONEY SPENT.

I got greeted by 3 people with urgency not knowing why I was there. Girls amazing at front desk. Amazing customer service

We presented as an emergency after 6pm on a Friday night. Our 18 yr old cat had suffered an apparent fall and was in moderate pain emanating from its hindquarters. Intake was efficient and xrays were ordered. Running bill at this point $552. 4 hours later (our only brief contact with a DVM); we were told that there were no apparent fractures ,but a radiologist would make a definitive diagnosis when available. Cat sent home on pain meds and rest. Total bill $775. Saturday- no follow-up by Oradell. Sunday-no folow-up by Oradell. Monday-again nothing from this hospital. Tuesday morning our call to Oradell finally prompted an emailed radiologist report 3 hours later and of course no follow-up or recomendations by Oradell for futher aftercare.

Although my brother recently wrote a review re: Dr. Reynolds and the entire team, which I and my entire family agree with, I need to add that today my family received a handwritten sympathy card and a packet of Forget Me Not seeds from Dr. Katie Reynolds. Besides providing exceptional care during our unfortunate time at the hospital, she has gone above and beyond by thinking about us after helping us say goodbye to our Molly. Thank you so very much Dr. Reynolds, my family and I will never be able to truly express how grateful we are for the care you provided to Molly and to us. Your thoughts and prayers during this heartbreaking time are most welcome and appreciated.

Ronnie Gross

extremely professional and comfortable for your pets

Bryan Callahan

Great staff, with us every step of the way. They explained and discussed everything from billing and procedures to after care and at no time did we feel rushed. A sick pet can be traumatic but they were patient and caring. If you can afford the best this is it. Worth every penny.

Doris Baril

My King Charles likes to eat everything in his path. Today he was sick vomiting and hyper salivating. Very professional staff. Had to wait 1.5 hours because they took sicker dogs first. That’s ok with me. Doctor was very compassionate and professional. Entire staff was excellent. Quality visit. Doggie is Okay!

I didn’t know you could get a license to be a vet from a bubble gum machine with that being said dr. Daniel Bowden the dermatologist was a complete joke . After seeing a normal vet for over a year my dogs allergies in her paws this doctors only answer to what could cause it was her needing to loose 7 pounds and it would go away . Mind you my dog is far from over weight and 7 pounds wouldn’t cause inflamed open wounds on a dogs paws . After that he tried to charge us $500 for absolutely no answer . Not sure why he’s a specialist beucase there isn’t anything special about him . I can not speak for the rest of the drs. Or specialists at this location but their prices are outrageous and the dermatologist is a joke so I would steer clear. Maybe that’s why he’s the only dermatologist in nj with no waiting list .

Dave Young

Very clean facility. Nice, friendly staff. Took me at my scheduled time. Plus they have coffee while you wait

I can't possibly explain the gratitude I have for Oradell Animal Hospital and Doctor Brenn. The treatment and care my pup received and their compassion were amazing. When I found out Delilah's cancer had returned yet again I was heartbroken as well as ridiculously stressed out that it would mean a return trip to Red Bank where we've had two very negative expierences with their oncology department. Friends and my regular vet recommended a few other hospitals so at least a little stress would be removed from the situation. I had heard of Oradell Animal Hospital before but had no idea it was such a large scale hospital. The expierence starting with even just the first phone call to them was extremely positive and like night and day from Red Bank. They fit Delilah in within a few days of my call. Doctor Brenn and everyone else were amazingly kind, compassionate, patient and knowledgable. He was so kind and friendly with Delilah that I knew we made the right choice and she really liked him which made me feel so much more comfortable. He explained everything extremely well so I knew all my options while giving his opinion without me feeling like forced into one option only. He scheduled a surgery for her quickly, with testing that same day so she didn't feel stressed out or uncomfortable. Everything they did was about keeping Delilah comfortable and well cared for. Doctor Brenn had ideas no one else had ever thought of to help with swelling issues pre surgery. He didn't complete the surgery himself but was there to oversee it. As soon as she was out of surgery, he was on the phone and giving us details. The surgeon did an amazing job on what was a difficult and very inconvenient location. Delilah was able to come home the following day after they spent the evening keeping her comfortable and doing compresses & other treatments to help with swelling and pain. I know she received the best care possible that night. Today Delilah's stitches were removed and Doctor Brenn spoke with us about Delilah's options going forward and gave me hope that I've been afraid to have for awhile now. He helped me make the best possible decision for her quality of life, health and comfort.. which didn't include any further treatment at the moment. That's right, he didn't try to convince me to spend more money on treatments that might not help at all and would causw her discomfort. The biggest difference between Oradells oncologist and Red Banks, besides their compassion, was that at no point did it feel like they were trying to pad the bill. Red bank told me, while Delilah was cancer free 2 years ago, that she'd likely be gone within a few months and tried to force thousands of dollars of treatments that they themselves didn't even believe would make much of a difference. A vaccine, medications and other treatments including acupuncture which when I told them my vet could do they tried to convince me it had to be done by them. If you're looking for someone knowledgeable who will be 100% honest with you and show your family compassion during hard health decisions, look no further then Doctor Brenn. It was well worth the trip from Staten Island and the best decision I've ever made for Delilah. Thank you Oradell for your amazing care of my girl as well as your compassion, honesty and the overall amazing expierence. From now on when we need a specialist or a 24 hour vet, I'll absolutely be taking that 45 minute ride without hesitation because I know my dogs will be in amazing hands.

This place stinks! Originally they charged my mom over $5,000 to take care of my dog and then it eventually went up to over $8,200 and my mom got maxed out on her credit because of this hospital. Edit They also said that it we couldn't pay then we'd have to give up the dog as well.

Wade Collins

I have never felt so moved to write a review before in my life. Dr. DeSanto and the entire staff were beyond amazing. Our dog recently had to be laid to rest and we were shown more care and respect here than we were in the hospital for our recent passed family members. Their concern and condolences, their patience and utmost professionalism. Answering all of our questions and never once making us feel rushed. They even sent us a personalized bouquet the very next day. Even throughout the life of our beloved friend they always gave our dog the very best treatment and continue to keep our hearts ther furry family member healthy. Thank you to everyone at Oradell Animal Hospital! You are a special bunch.

Stella Teger

We have taken all our dogs and cats here for over 35 years! What a comfort to be able to have a pet treated at any hour and the entire health history is right there. They have all the diagnostic equipment. I have some favorite bets but all are compete and caring.

Mark

This place killed my chinchilla, they are unprofessional and i find it amazing how they can call themselves, doctors. They have no clue what they are doing. They mis diagnos the animals and dont know how to treat them. They are full of uncertainty and i wish i can have justice for the mistreatment of my beloved family member. Furthermore all the staff here cared about is the fee's. If you can avoid this place, please avoid it. Your pets will be better off going elsewhere, or not to this vet at all.

Matt Kosakowski

Our kitten Mike could barely lift his head to eat from a spoon, sick from a mystery ailment, about a month ago. Dr. Farabaugh wouldn’t give up on him. Ran every test he could and put him on just the right meds, when other vets told us we should really consider putting him to sleep, and now 4 Weeks later he’s zooming around again just like a happy kitten should. This place saved our “hopeless” kitten and we are forever grateful

bernadette elbert

Unfortunately my family and I have been to Oradell Animal Hospital several times over the years with our rescues. They are highly professional and have always done their best to achieve positive results. Yesterday we took our 5 month old puppy who appeared to have a stroke or ingested a toxin causing neurological difficulties. Thankfully it was the later. We were blessed and I truly mean blessed with Dr. Winters. She was amazing, knowledgeable, compassionate and driven to get our Kona back to good health. I am so grateful to have met her and thankful that she took such good care of our puppy. Thank you Dr. Winters....

Karen Nicholson

Dr. Boren has taken excellent care of our parrots & guinea pigs for many years. He is skilled, compassionate and gentle with our pets. We wouldn't trust our pets to anyone else. Thank you, Dr. Boren, for taking such gexcellent care of our babies.

A wonderful hospital with dedicated, compassionate staff. Thank you to Dr. Chan for caring for our family pet.

Had my review deleted. Disgusting company. No wonder they maintain a 4.1. Someone writes about a terrible experience instead of reaching out to the customer they have it removed.

The medical care was fine. The problem is that the hospital grossly overbilled us by performing unauthorized services. We brought our dog into the hospital at about 9pm on Sunday, August 4, 2019, right after he was struck by a car. We saw the nightshift doctor and, after they took an x-ray, we got a preliminary readout and was given an estimate for 3-5 days of hospital care that would cost between roughly $6,700 and $10,900. We said that was too much and agreed with the doctor that they would just keep the dog alive till morning, when a radiologist would read the x-ray and we would discuss a treatment plan or whether we would have to put the dog down. In order for the hospital to care for our dog that night, we had to sign the estimate and put a $4,000 deposit down. However, we agreed with the doctor that they would only do the minimum necessary for the night. At roughly 1pm on Monday, August 5 (about 16 hours later, and before hearing from a doctor), we got an invoice for actual services of almost $4,900. We never authorized Oradell to incur such high fees and were never told that half a day could cost most of the 3-5 day estimate.

I have pet insurance and took my Pomeranian here and this place is clean and I felt comfortable taking my dog here. I’ll come back again if needed. They’re open late at night too at that time something was seriously wrong with my dog and he got taken care of. Thank you!

Berti Katz

We have bringing our dogs to Oradell for about 10 years and have always been beyond satisfied with the medial care, sensitivity to both pet and humans through all the joys and tragedies of dog ownership. The doctors and staff are very personable and remember who you and your dogs are. Our current Vet is Dr. Jaime De Santis and he is great!

Ricki fromkin colyer

We've been waiting months to have our dog's surgical eval. Had to wait about 2 months to see the doctor. Had to cancel as I was starting a new job. Rescheduled appointment for about a month later. Husband took off work for the day and they cancelled last minute. Rescheduled for this week, and my husband called to confirm and they didn't even have us on the schedule. Going to another facility.

November 21, 2017 I had an emergency with my green cheek conjure "Rio". The entire staff was professional throughout the entire ordeal. They were caring and explained all possible options. Unfortunately, the situation was dire and Rio was euthanized to avoid anymore suffering. The vet was compassionate and provided me with the information I needed. I asked to take Rio home and have to say was touched by the way he was presented to me. They took a great deal of care when preparing him for me. A few days later I received a handwritten card with forget-me-not seeds from the doctor. I also received a letter stating that a donation was made in honor of Rio's memory to the Bergen County Zoo from the hospital. These small acts of kindness have helped in with my grieving. Thank you for you attentiveness. It will never be forgotten.

Oradell AH is not an "emergency only" hospital. I have been using them for my regular vet care for over 10 years. There have been some emergencies along the way, knowing that all my dog's records were already there and that the staff knew them made some very stressful times much easier to deal with. I am comfortable seeing any of the vets there any time.

Thomas McDermott

Oradell Animal Hospital is one of the best facilities to bring your pet. Unfortunately I have had to bring my dogs here for an emergency and for a chronic illness. In both cases, the staff was great, the doctors were excellent and the level of compassion was remarkable. My dog loves coming to the facility because they truly love animals.

I have a Shih Tzu who is nine years old. He was diagnosed with glaucoma a few months back. Recently Louie’s situation became worse over night. I could see he was in pain and suffering. I was so scared. Of course it was a Friday night and the specialist was closed. I didn’t know where to turn. I’m so glad we wound up in the care of Dr. Lucanie!! She was so nice and helpful. She went the extra mile to keep me involved every step of the way! I never felt like I was imposing or bothering her or the stuff when calling to check in his status. They completely understood I was scared and nervous, Louie wasn’t just a pet but my best friend and child. They were more than happy to answer any questions I had day or night. I knew he was in loving hands! In the end Louie wound up having up having emergency surgery to have his left eye removed but I am happy to report he is living pain-free and adjusting beautifully. Our pets spirit & resilience is truly inspiring. I will forever be grateful to Dr. Lucanie and the staff for taking such great care of our Louie! Thank you Orandell Animal Hospital! You all made the Difference!

I have brought all my dogs here for over ten years. The staff and doctors are caring, thoughtful, and professional. I can't say enough about the care they have provided for all my dogs.

Mary Ann Massaro

Just brought my pet to Oradell Animal Hospital after taking her to a local animal hospital for many years. I am so pleased with the experience we have had at Oradell so far. The office staff and doctors have been wonderful. Finally feel my dog is in trusting and knowledgeable hands.

Kimberly Martin

My dog Trixie just had her teeth cleaned. I was concerned about the anesthesia, but knew it had to be done. The entire staff at Oradell Animal Hospital could not have been more professional, kind and compassionate. Dr. June Hacker is the absolute BEST! She kept me posted throughout the entire process, answered all my questions and most important - she took great care of my baby! THANK YOU.

Rob G

Don't waste your time or your money

John F

Billed me several hundred dollars for a simple consultation which my pet didn't live long enough to start the treatment and passed a few weeks later from the disease. They are still harrasing me for the bill. Absolutely horrible! All about $$$!!! Stay away!!

Diane Labriola

I switched to Oradell Animan Hospital about a year and half ago after a recommendation for a general Vet for my 10 year old poodle. Dr. DeSantis was thorough and excellent with my dog. He explained everything that he was doing and there were no surprises at check out. I love the fact that there is a full service for any need. My poodle had a severe eye issue and I was able to take my dog to Oradell and he was seen by Dr. Brown who who specializes in opthomology. In all the years that I had Ginger, no other practice was able to offer that. The facility is immaculate and the staff is both kind, caring and professional. I also like that fact that when my dog had her teeth cleaned and needed to stay over, they had staff 24 hours/day and I was able to call at any time. They are the only Animal Hospital that has a proven reputation and record for so many years. Would not take my sweet dog any where else!

Most importantly stay away from this place. We suggested what we thought was wrong with him but they ignored the obvious. Instead, they did one test after another ultrasound EKG’s blood tests Etc. and suggested one specialist after another and after 2 emergency room visits still could not diagnose the most obvious problem It became a guessing game with them and all the while driving up the bill (6k) and giving deadly drugs one after another. All he had was a tooth infection and all they needed to do was a dental x-ray and give an antibiotic but instead they wanted to do a bone marrow test They put him on steroids for 10 weeks and while he was on them this infection festered We fortunately found a competent vet that diagnosed the problem confirmed through X-rays that he had an abcess that infected one side of his mouth. Had it been diagnosed 10 weeks earlier he wouldn’t have had to suffer not only pain but now the toxic side efffects of the steroid. While at the new vet I met two other people who went through the same experience with oradell animal hospital. If you want to save money and you don’t want your animals to suffer please stay as far away as you can from this place

AIDA STEFANELLI

an amazing place to take your pet for the best care , I always know my dogs will get the best care and compassion :)

Mary Cline

I had to take my hedgehog there suddenly to be put down and they were incredibly kind and sweet. The fact they take exotic animals is great as many places will not. It was a very difficult time and they made it as easy as possible. I previously went to Rutherford animal hospital and their staff wasn’t the kindest. I will from here on out being going to Oradell. They’re so caring and you can see they really want to help your pet the best they can. I would recommend them anyone.

Connor O'Hanlon

I wish we had visited Oradell Animal Hospital under different circumstances, but their staff was amazing, caring and compassionate. Dr Reynolds and the rest of the team helped our family in a very difficult time, and made sure to give us all the options for our senior dog’s care. The team here ensured Molly’s last moments were dignified, comfortable & joyful (they even gave her some cake)! We are very thankful for they how they treated us and Molly and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks for helping in a tough time!

Susan Grayson

They are caring, great service and very professional! They care about the owner's pets, took some times to ask some specific questions and great knowledge about pet's health.

Max Pascua

i'd like to premise that we had a wonderful experience with the staff at the hospital and even with Dr Carberry herself. She was very polite and took good care of our dog Moose. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience when it came to calling Dr Carberry in regards to a concern and bad reaction to a medication she prescribed. We called 3-4 times leaving a message with the staff with no call back whatsoever. By the 5th time I called I requested to speak to a supervisor. They transferred me to a lady named Harriet whom I left a detailed message of the occurrence. Its been 2 weeks and still have not heard from anyone from the hospital, a staff member, Dr Carberry nor Harriet (supervisor). I felt there was no compassion at all with my situation with my dog. All we needed was a callback and guidance on how to move forward taking care of our dog. =(

So we had an emergency with our cat. He started to act very strange and looked lost and confused at home. Went to our regular vet, physically he was fine, blood work, vitals all normal. Our Vet suggest he get looked at by a neurologist and to get an MRI. Our Vet reached out to Dr. Kerry Bailey and explained the situation. First, facility is great plenty of parking, clean, wifi, charging station with cables for your phone, and coffee machine. All the staff were genuinely helpful and friendly. Our consultation with Dr. Bailey was great. She listened to every little detail we gave her, did some tests with our cat and in the end suggested an MRI for further diagnostics. She gave us the costs involved and never during the whole consultation did we feel rushed. We returned the same day to see how everything was going. Second consult again with Dr Bailey was great no tumors, but a sever inner ear issue that will take surgery to correct. We picked him up late in the evening (great thing about being open 24 hours). All the ladies working the front and the young lady that brought our cat to us were great, they all offered us tips on how to administer the medications to our cat who is very difficult with pills. Again no one was dismissive nor did we feel rushed at any point. Overall a fantastic group of people. I just wanted to add one thing. PET INSURANCE! PET INSURANCE! PET INSURANCE! As veterinary care continues to advance it can get expensive. Conditions that were sometimes fatal are becoming treatable. Unfortunately it comes with a cost. Get an insurance plan! Go online, research, check reviews talk to your vet, pick an insurance plan. Some are quite affordable.

jsh855

Dr. DeSantis is the best! Excellent bedside manner and incredibly insightful, responsive and intelligent. Couldn't ask for a better veterinarian for our beloved puppy.

SARA HANINI

I give this 0 stars, I took my bird here and it took them 5 hours to tell us that they can’t do anything. Took him to another vet the next day and he knew the solution right away. Go to Pompton Lakes animal hospital great service quick solutions

Claudia Ionescu

Great place, both services as well as people working there. I would like to acknowledge Dr Dennis Bailey for his extraordinary professionalism , humanity and compassion. Cancer is a horrible thing to deal with and Dr Bailey truly makes a difference in this battle. Thank you.

Natalia Lopez

I can not express how great every single person working at this hospital is. I had to put my dog to sleep here and they were all so kind and compassionate during the process and a week later sent me a card in the mail with their condolences and flower seeds to plant in memory of my dog. I recently got a puppy that had to stay over night at their emergency room due to low blood sugar and they kept me updated throughout the entire process and were once again extremely kind and always willing to answer my calls. The staff and all of the doctors truly care about animals and aside from that are the most intelligent veterinarians I have come across. I drive 40 mins to see them when I have several different vets closer to my home because I trust them over anyone else. To say they go above and beyond is an understatement :) The last doctor who treated my puppy was named Dr. Gannon and she was the absolute best!

Andrew Rudman

Always very professional courteous and friendly. I would not take my three dogs anywhere else even though it is a little pricier than other vets

Tony Frugis

Had a Terrible experience here. We had to unfortunately put our beloved dog down. While in the room with our dog grieving before it started, the doctor starts asking about the bill before anything and didn't seem to care at all about our situation. After the process was over and our family was saying our last goodbyes, the doctor would come in every minute asking if we needed more time. We were literally being pushed out of the room and the doctor gave no care in the world. All she wanted was the room. I'll never go back here for anything. What a terrible experience and horrible memory I'll have of this.

Patricia F Schwartz

Our Bostons have been taken good care of by the Doctors and staff at Oradell. They have been patients at Oradell from 12 weeks old. I highly recommended! They are very caring, loving and follow up!

Michael Scarpa

Definitely overpriced. Top of the line equipment and facility but they took WAY to long to diagnosis my cat. I don't think it would have saved him since it was a cancerous tumor, but still...they took forever. Charged me about 10 GRAND over the course of a couple months due to emergency visit fees, treatments, meds, etc. My cat still passed away. I dunno man.

O O

Very knowledgeable and caring staff. I would like to thank Kristen, Kailey, Suzanne and Dr. Bailey for there compassion and caring attitude towards Odie and his family. Thank you.

Kara Campbell

I have taken my pets to Oradell Animal Hospital for their veterinary care for over 10 years. It is more pricey than your home-town vet, but it is well worth it. Very competent veterinarians and assistants whose love of animals shows. Very caring and attentive.

Karen Williams

Used this hospital many times even traveling an hour away. Ever time I left I paid my bill. The last time when I was told my pup had cancer and not much time I was a wreck. That was September today I was served papers for payment, no bill no call nothing! When I called Oredell I said how about sending mail wth signature so you know I got it or a simple phone call. Their answer,oh we don't do that and we didn't do anything wrong. Well folks you lost a customer and having a business i know the power of the Internet. I know Fairlawn , n.j has a animal hospital and friends have said it is a lot cheaper and just as good if not better. I wil never go to this place that seems only care about their bottom line. If you go just beware and make sure you pay in full every time you step in the building. We would never ever do this to our customers.

LInda Greco

1st time bringing my dog Buddy to this facility. Everything there was exceptionally clean and well run. The doctor was knowledgeable and very thorough in his evaluation of my dog and also his instructions to me. I am very happy that I decided to bring my dog here for his medical care.

Debbielee De Jesus

It's my first time here and I'm very impressed. The care they are giving my cat has. No price tag for me. I will definitely use they for all my cats if another emergency ever were to occur.

Ruth Bonapace

My dog suffered a sudden catastrophic illness over Labor Day weekend. The staff diagnosed the issue right away and did not for a second try to sway us to try unnecessary tests or treatments even though surgery would have enhanced their bottom line. Very honest and skilled and caring. They treated everyone from our beloved Charlie to me and my children with professionalism and compassion.

Magdy Youssef

Did not have my dog health as first priority only how much money they can get. SHAME

Jean Halpern

My dog was taken by a ? nurse and went to grab my dog and let him fall on the floor from picking him up in my arms, he was weak and hit his head on the hard floor. He was 17 years old. I was there 8 hours and not allowed to visit or hold my dog who was waiting for an echo and cardiac consult. I was not even allowed to speak to the cardiologist for even 5 min about my dog " too busy they said" I wanted time with my dog and the next day after them giving him Lasix he had to be put down. This is nothing more than a meat market and others had the same said experience that day. Poor or no communication with the owner. They had no trouble taking over $1200 of mine. Terrible hospital, never again, worse experience.

Kyra Aycart

Staff is hard-working, compassionate and professional. They have excellent specialists and treatments.

Deborah Hastings

If you want the best vet care go to Oradell. I have gone there for 15 years. Tried others closer to me but will not go elsewhere after trying them. Not cheap but yes the best. Hey everybody - GET PET INSURANCE! Trupanion is the best.

Roberta Hanlon

I cannot say enough good things about Oradell. I have a deaf and allergic Boston Terrier as well as a Pembroke Welsh Corgi. Both dogs have been treated there as well as my previous dogs. The care by the staff be it for nail cuts to emergencies is superb. I use Dr. Boren as my main doctor but have had the pleasure of others when he was out. Never have I been urged to do something I was not comfortable with and when comparing my bills from my previous Vet, Oradell was the same or less. It is a 24 hour facility which just like with our human children at times we have been there in the odd hours. I also have boarded my dogs there when I had my sons wedding out of state. I recommend them highly for the excellent care I personally have had the fortune to receive for my fur babies.

Maria Voorhis

Love this facility. Staff is compassionate and professional. Our pets have always gotten great care. Thought it was going to be more expensive than other places but that is not the case.

Blake McLoughlin

My experience at Oradell animal hospital was exceptional from start to finish. I got an appointment on very short notice, was seen on time, and my poor car had soiled both herself and her carrier. The staff made sure to clean my cat and her carrier during our appointment so everything was clean for our ride home. The doctor and the nurse were great and very gentle while handling my cat. They get my highest recommendation.

Bingyu Wu

The staffs who help booking appts are nightmare. We called a couple weeks ago to ask for both dental and orthopedic specialist consultations, and they gave us an appointment for both of the consultations, they specifically told me in that way we can only travel once and get things done at once. After a few weeks waiting, (while I could have seen other orthopedic surgeons in other animal hospitals) finally, ONE DAY before our appointment, they called to confirm appt saying we have only orthopedic consultation booked, and there is even NO dentist in the hospital for this month! Then why you told me we could see both doctors on the same day? Why you have me and my dog waited for a couple weeks for nothing?? And their attitude was even worse than their capability of work. First one told me "It wasn't me who made your appointment so I can't help you", another one was the worst, she didn't even care nor wanted to offer any solution like rebook or anything else, she only pushed "do you wanna keep your orthopedic consultation or not?" Those people doesn't care about you or your pets, and you should definitely not trust them with your baby's medical needs.

Pamela Scorzello

Terrific staff. Professional and personable. Have had my pets cared for here for many years. It is a comfort to know they open 24/7. Many specialties available when necessary. I highly recommend them.

Michael Rausch

Great doctors and they have an understanding and a deep concern for your animal thank you

Julia Stewart

Dr. Shah was great with my cat. Was in and out in half an hour. I appreciate that they didn't demand previous medical records for appointment as some vets do, nor did they force me to vaccinate my indoor cat. Will definitely return, prices are fair.

Nancy Orr

The administrative staff are the most uncaring and rude people I have ever met. I am referring to the Paramus office. My 8 year old Golden is dying of blood cancer. They could have cared less. He was profusely bleeding from his head and ear and they didn’t even offer use a tissue!! Sadly, he will be our last pet because we are over 70 and can’t go through this end of life horror with another dog!! They should have a sensitivity training class for every single one of the staff behind the front desk!! I hope the owner of the Paramus office reads this as soon as possible!!! I cannot in good conscience recommend the Paramus office to anyone in the future! It’s a shame because the vets are very professional and caring!! Riley and the Orr Family

Competence, kindness, initiative, dedication to your job and to my cat and I. Shaun and Mandy, the both of you demonstrate all these qualities and much more since Bengal and I stepped inside Oradell Animal Hospital, Paramus, NJ in 2016. I want to recognize your gentle spirit and your knowledge on how to care for Bengal. BIG thank you for your love for her! And thank you to the other veterinarian technicians (you know who you are). You're all skilled, dedicated and passionate people. You bring a wealth of knowledge and experience. Thank you to the front desk staff. Your smiles and friendliness mean the world to me. You're running of the hospital is so well organized and everyone is in-sync. Thank you all for helping my Bengal with her chronic kidney disease. Doctors, I haven't forgotten about you. You're next on a separate review. =) God bless all of you!

YB Park

This place is the worst place possible. DON’T GO HERE!!! Save your money! Save your animals life and go some place where they actually care for animals. They demanded 2500$ To admit her for three days... without X-rays or even an exam. just to admit my animal - they try to take advantage of people who are vulnerable. This quote was given without a diagnosis. in the case of an emergency and give you an estimate of 5000plus tor surgery that they haven’t diagnosed the problem For surgery. If you don’t comply they say to put down your animal... we left and went straight to Westwood. Oradell lies and charges you for services that they didn’t provide. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT MONEY. Horrible people in charge complete disregard of life in every sense speaking.

BeepBeep!

Dr Carberry was amazing. She did a surgery on our cat and we couldn’t be happier. I was brought to tears many times by how compassionate and caring she was towards our kitty! She called personally after the surgery to let us know how our cat did and she just made this an easy and pleasant experience for all of us. I’ll remember Dr Carberry always. Since we first met her she just left such a good impression on us. Thank you Dr Carberry. We appreciate people like you so much- you make the world a better place.

Mikey Hope

The times I've been here the staff has always been top notch friendly and helpful, the docs don't try to upsell you on tests and procedures but instead give you their best estimate of what would be useful or not and let you decide. They are supportive and informative and the place is nicer than some human hospitals I've been in!

Eric B

I would give this -5 stars if that was possible . And when I had to put my dog down in the middle the night it cost me over thousand dollars. Now my rescue pup has a minor issue that is a common issue, and when I called. All the women at the desk are rude, they know absolutely nothing, unhelpful, and when you ask about a price of a procedure which is a common procedure they won’t give you an answer. You’re not allowed to speak to a vet. It’s all a giant game of baiting you in the door .. A brilliant idea of having a 24 hour state of the art facility. But it’s an absolutely terrible idea to have dumb People answering the phones, and hiding pricing is an absolute joke. The biggest ripoff in the veterinarian world is this hospital nationwide !! They need to get a grip and come to terms with themselves and start providing decent customer service and they’ll probably make more money than trying to gouge everybody that comes in the door Desperate. I hope you meet my friend karma .

Jenny Velarde

Horrible service! Do not bring your pup here!

Marzel W

I was referred to Oradell from my vet for an emergency with my fur baby. Dr. Kraenzlin was absolutely wonderful, very compassionate and professional. I would like to thank the staff at Oradell for making my pet so comfortable in his last moments with us.

Branden Youssef

I give this 1 star review to bring attention to the fact that this hospital charges almost double what nearby Westwood hospital charges. They have generic fees and their procedures are more expensive across the board. The staff were great and I believe they care about the animals, and they took good care of my dog. In addition, they saved my previous dog from bloat. I will always appreciate the staff for caring for both of my dogs, but there are other hospitals that can provide good care at a lot lower cost. Whoever set the prices needs to consider their ethics. Nobody should have to consider letting their dog pass early because they cannot afford care. Yes there are programs online for getting funding, but they are hard to qualify for and must almost always be applied for before the procedure is done. Oradell doesn't mention these programs regardless, they only mention CareCredit which lets you pay the bill off like credit card debt. When my boy was stable I took him to Westwood. There they gave him the same care, and also gave him an ultrasound that wasn't on the table at Oradell. This ultrasound found the cancer my dog had. I don't know why Oradell didn't plan to do an ultrasound. Instead they planned to only do a CT scan, but both Oradell and Westwood doctors said my dog couldn't go under to do it.

I brought my support animal a ferret named Biggie in this past Sunday night dying.I gave full legal disclosure I was disabled on a fixed income and have no idea how I could pay the bill for the emergency surgery hospitalization and aftercare. They told me they were in the business of saving pets lives and to leave what I could saying there are grants and the office would work with me ABOUT paying my bill later. I used to work in the United Nations in NYC as a war crimes investigator, and, I told them they were the most humanitarian compassionate people in the world and would recommend everyone I know to them. I was scared to call the billing office this morning but when I did they said they understand and would work with me and they also give 20 percent discount for having an emotional support service animal.I higly recommend them and I am going to use they now as my regular vet.I understand about business dealings and studied international criminal and constitutional law and human rights for ten years. Sometimes showing humanitarian compassion and doing the morally correct thingis right sometimes. I greatly appreciate what Oradell Animal Hospital has done for me and Biggie. I promise to pay my bill and recommend them highly over any other veternary agency in the tri state area.I realize not all peole may yield the same result but I can just tell you they went over and above what other veternary agencies would not do at all for me.When any vet refuses to give even one x Ray on a dying service animal like the one I was going to to, it's time to switch vets. They need to make a lucrative Businesses yes, but along with the entire medical profession in and of itself one must also abide my the moral obligations of their profession as,well like Oradell Animal Hospital .Thanks to all their team again!! How do you thank people saving your pyshiatric support animals' life? I have severe depression so I told them they may have saved my life to from suicide.Jill Louise Starr Clfton NJ PS: Doctor Murphy was unbelievablely knowledge and compassionate

Bryan Meneses

My homie is no longer with us. I got to say they where so helpful explaining our options. By surprise the doctor called us 2 minutes later when she heard the news. She was very helpful. Thank you Oradell animal hospital.for making feel welcome.

Hope Koturo

My cat recently had surgery at the hospital. The doctors are very skilled, supportive, and caring, as is the support staff. The hospital is staffed 24 hours a day so I was able to speak with someone late in the evening to get an update on his condition which helped to put me at ease. I highly recommend the hospital and staff.

Rachel Milito your Realtor

I really WISH I would visit this animal hospital under better conditions, but every time I do step through the doors I am always amazed. Friendly friendly staff that are extremely sweet to my big baby Remy. Large waiting room with plenty of space for the pup to roam. Awesome and quick service. One of the best animal hospitals around. They always have an answer & they never beat around the bush. If a question isn’t answered there is always a place to recommend us too.

Janeane Savino

I don’t agree with anyone who says this place is about the money. You will pay more than the average vet but Oradell is certainly NOT your average vet! The are 100 percent about patient care and making sure your pet is healthy. My cat received the care and attention he deserved. Dr Crawford and her staff we very thorough with his exam. They gave my Toby all of the necessary tests he needed and since I was coming from a recent Vet visit from his regular vet she said there was no need for additional blood work. I walked out with a plan of action for Toby I felt comfortable with. Dr Crawford spent the time to go over everything including some future decisions I will have to make regarding my cats care. I wouldn’t go anywhere else moving forward.

Pam P

Drs and techs are top notch. Reception and phone staff much improved. Prices are views as high but worth every penny if you truly care about your 4 legged child.

Michelle garcia

Took my dog cause she was sick the only option they told me was pay thousands or put her to sleep no other options , they even gave me antibiotics without them knowing if she had an infection. And they were pressuring me to make a decision at the moment. I went with my gut feeling and left the office and took her elsewhere. Long story short I took her to another animal hospital they took an xray told me what she had and gave me pills for her for less than $200. The Doctor said she will be fine with the right treatment. And my dog is perfectly fine now within a few days. If I would’ve left her with just the antibiotic they had given me in Oradell, my dog would’ve past away within a few days with heart failure cause she had no infection for the antibiotic they prescribed. If you want to save your pets & pockets don’t go to Oradell Animal Hospital. They are very irresponsible and even if you have thousands of dollars to give them... save your animals from horrible treatment by them.

Woodley Johnson

This hospital treats my little puppy as if it was their own. The staff, nurses, and doctors are truly compassionate and gives 100% to getting your pet back on their feet.

Laurie Fielding

Oradell Animal Hospital SAVED our pup n gave him back to us the way he was before his injury!! I can’t say enough good things and I can’t thank them enough for all that they did for our Butch AND our family! They were so understanding with us from the receptionist to the surgeons they are an A++ team for how they treat the animals and the families because thinking you are losing your beloved dog of 10 yrs is very difficult for the family and they walked us thru all of our options, they were very accommodating on payment plan, they gave us all the future info they just had patience and understanding! I would recommend them 150%!!! I don’t know why there would be one bad review - this place is there for the animals and the families - not just for money!! Our dog is literally alive because of Oradell Amimal Hospital and the amazing team of drs!

Denise marone

Been with them 50 yrs amazing group of people

Allison Jaffin

Dr Boren is an extraordinarily talented vet. He is incredibly knowledgeable about exotic pets and the animals adore him. He is gentle and brilliant and we are so appreciative of his care.

Lucy Haskell

Always a pleasure to have our schnauzer Prince have his yearly visit with Dr. DeSanto and staff. A very caring staff and we have been clients since the days when the hospital was on Kinderkamack Ave. Peace of mind knowing that this facility is available for expert care and loving goodbyes when the time comes.

dennis weber

Recently I had to bring my cat Sarah to Oradell Animal Hospital on a Saturday night. Sarah was clearly not feeling well. Given that Sarah was over sixteen years old I felt it was prudent to bring her to the emergency room. Everyone who attended to Sarah was very kind and professional. I was especially impressed with the triage nurse and Doctor Milano. I want to thank Doctor Milano for all his help and compassion for Sarah.

Brianna Gallina

I took my 1.8 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Tucker here after he had been attacked by another dog and his eye had popped out. They immediately took him back, and he stayed overnight. The ER doctor explained that they were going to do emergency surgery on him and that they would most likely be able to save the eye but that there was still a possibility he could lose it. I picked him up the next day and he had stitches holding his eye shut and I was given a special set of instructions. We went back 2 weeks later to get the first stitch out, and then 2 weeks later to get the last of them out. He is fully recovered and has full vision in both eyes, and I couldn’t be more grateful for Oradell’s special care for my little boy.. he is so young and he deserves to have the best quality of life I can give him. I am forever thankful for the care he received.

Jodi Conrad

Dr. Boren and the staff at Oradell Animal Hospital go above and beyond to make sure their patients are taken care of. The staff is friendly and helpful and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Boren is hands-down the best veterinarian we’ve ever had. He is kind and caring and so knowledgeable. He takes time with his patients and truly cares. His gentle manner, thoughtful questioning as well as the way he provides information pertinent to the animal he is treating is invaluable. He really is one of a kind in the veterinarian field. We truly trust him with our fur babies and would not think of going anywhere else.

Mete Karabas

I've been taking my pets to Oradell Animal Hospital for the past 3 or 4 years now and have received nothing but above par service, respect and comfort. The entire staff -- from the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out -- is extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. This makes the world of a difference and makes me and my pet feel confident and happy. I applaud the wonderful staff, administrators and professionals at Oradell Animal Hospital. Kudos to everyone!!

Lazaro Conde

A caring and devoted staff that ensures the most comfortable setting for both you and your beloved pet.

Susan Greenberg

Hands and paws down-the best vet in the area. Most comprehensive 24/7 care, and caring doctors who are there to see you through the good and bad times. Can't think of going elsewhere.

Lynette Rivier

This place is perfect !! It has caring staff and vets . Made a difficult time smoother . I would highly recommend .

Arpan Dinker

Staff was very professional and friendly. Hospital is very clean and they provide care promptly.

Joy Fregonese

OAH is without exception the best place you could possibly bring your pet. They are caring, compassionate, and have specialists in every category you could imagine. Some people complain about the price but you are getting the best care you could get for your baby and that is the main thing because your pets are priceless. Every vet we have gone to has been AMAZING.

DIANNA YPHANTIDES

My experience with Oradell Animal Hospital was one for the books. They were the most compassionate, kind, caring, warm & incredible staff. Absolutely amazing— would recommend them to anyone. They truly care about animals and their families unlike some other vets I have been to which make you feel like you’re a burden for asking questions about your sick animal. They were so very patient, empathetic and kind with my mother, sister, and I when we were so very fragile with our sick feline. I truly cannot say enough good things about our experience with this place. If you have a sick fur baby, this is the place to take them!

Had to go in for a consultation with an orthopedic specialist, Dr. Fettig, for my puppy's luxating patella. The Dr. and nurse were not compassionate at all, and seemed almost robotic during the examination. The examination itself seemed very minimal and just too lax - it was about a 10 minute consultation in which the doctor checked my puppy's knee and then provided the same EXACT information that my local vet was able to provide. The same EXACT information that I provided when I was asked "what is the reason for your visit" when scheduling an appointment. The doctor then recommended surgery which he said would cost $5,500 (the average cost of this surgery is normally $1,500 - $3,000). THAT'S IT! No tests, no meds, no x-rays. I was then ushered to billing where I was hit with a $200 bill. The doctor literally did NOTHING - just checked my puppy's knee and repeated the same exact information that I shared with them before going in. Feeling as though I was being overcharged a bit, I asked the receptionist about the pricing. She seemed annoyed that I didn't just shut up and pay, and responded with quite the attitude. 2 weeks later my pup has undergone the surgery with a local vet who charged only $2,000 for compassionate, sincere service as compared to Oradell's robotic $5,500 (and a useless $200 "consultation") service. All in all, I cannot, in good conscious, recommend Oradell to anyone. They definitely seem to be all about the $$$$$$$$, and nothing else.

Our Vet is Dr. Boren and there isn’t a better vet or man than him. He is extremely compassionate to both animals and their owners. He helped us through some tough times and still remembers our dog that passed over seven years ago. He is great with our current dog. We won’t go anywhere else as long as Dr. Boren is here.

My dog was sick on Friday and I just drove him directly to Oradell on a recommendation from K9 Nanni (N. Arlington, NJ). We were greeted and immediately taken care of. Everyone was very polite, caring and professional. I felt so much better after working with the doctor and my dog is feeling better already.

Dr. Winters and Dr. Bruno saved my gold-capped conure, Jax. I cannot thank them enough for their quick and spot on response to my bird's acute respiratory issue. They took him in immediately and began administering oxygen and fluids. The treatment worked quickly and they were very thorough in explaining all that was being done to save him. They were upfront with all costs and recommendations. Jax was in the hospital for two days and he received excellent follow up care. I was even brought back into the avian area and shown where he would be staying. Dr. Winters' interaction with Jax was compassionate and sweet. She was truly concerned. She asked a lot of questions and never seemed like she was in a rush to get to her next patient. Did we wait a long time for a diagnosis - ultimately, yes. Was it expensive - yes (but its emergency care, I expected it to be). Was it worth it? Absolutely. My conure is alive and doing well. I won't ever bring my pets anywhere else for emergency treatment. Thank you Oradell Animal Hospital!!

I have been coming to the Oradell Animal Hospital for many years. I met the OAH staff when they were in Oradell on Kinderkamack Road. And have never been to another. The Drs and all the staff are great. I recommend them to anyone and have never felt differently. They have taken care of my dogs and cats to my satisfaction and the health of my animals. I have personal knowledge that this hospital is not just about the money, as someone has written in the reviews. Sometimes we just can't get the answer we want to hear. It's hard to loose a loving pet but we have to remember that miracles are just as hard for out beloved pets as they are for our mothers, fathers, and siblings. They have learning classes for pet parents so that they can learn about the options available for your pet. Pain management and CPR we're recently held this past fall. Oradell is about a whole lot more then just giving shots and caring for your pets, they care about you too.

I have been a client for more than 40 years. The absolute best! Very competent professionals providing the newest treatments. I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

We have been going to Oradell for almost 20 years and they are fantastic. Dr. Koenig is so kind and caring. I could not ask for a more loving person to be in charge of the care of our beloved pup.

Our beloved Bronko was rushed to the hospital and was in critical condition. Dr. Winters and the staff did everything in their power to make him comfortable while trying to figure out how what he was suffering from. They were all extremely supportive and sympathetic throughout the stressful 8-9 hours he was under their care. Dr. Winters was very patient with us and professional.

I have been here 7 or 8 times and I have always been pleased with the staff and their concerned attitude for my pet. There are ALWAYS here and they have specialists available and complete testing/surgery facilities. There are too many regular vets calling themselves "animal hospitals". This is the real deal - 24/7 - 365 days a year !!! My pet has always had positive results each time from their treatment and recommendations. One warning, unless it's a true emergency, make an appointment if you can you wait - BIG savings.

Thank you so much Dr. Julian and all of the Oradell Animal Hospital staff for taking care of my cat Kismet. I have no words for how appreciative and how amazing Dr. Julian from the ER is. She kept me up to date with all of Kismet’s progress every few hours and kept it real with me as to what her treatment options were, but either way the prognosis’s was not good. I ended up having to put my cat to sleep, but it’s much easier to accept it knowing she died peacefully in my arms. Dr. Julian was so compassionate and just sooooooo wonderful, if you’re reading this please know that I will never forget your kindness towards me and my fur baby!

They're the best. Great doctors and great care. I just wish their emergency department wait time was a bit quicker but that's the only complaint i have.

Fantastic care and service for over 20 years. They are professional, caring and the best staffed facility in the area. Our Doctor, Dr. Joe De Santo, has been our primary veterinarian from the start and he is wonderful with our pets. For the best care and service please do your pet a favor, bring them to Oradell Animal a Hospital.

I took my dog and and he was missed diagnosed twice. After giving him the recommended medicine he got worst and finally die 2 weeks later. Very expensive and not helpful at all. I regret taking him there but all the Vets I called kept recommending this Hospital. Also regret not having a 2 opinion somewhere else.

ANDO

Please trust me, this is the worst animal hospital ever that I’ve been to. Everyone here from customer service to vets lacks profession and they seem to not communicate at all. Nobody knows what their doing, everyone has different opinions. Please Do Not go here.
