Yesterday I had to put my best friend, my cat, Pookie Bear down. I was grief stricken. The staff was very sympathetic and Dr. Russell was extremely comforting. He was straight forward but compassionate until the time came I had to make a decision. Dr. Russell was tender with him all the way. They fulfilled all my requests for my last moments with Pookie and after. I even felt the need to talk to Dr. Russell a second time after I had left and come back in which he graciously did. My Pookie went peacefully and with dignity. Thank you and now I must learn to live without my best friend of 15 years.

After today's experience with one of the techs ,and after my request to speak with manager, hearing tech saying that I was arguing with her!? I am not from here, but they have no right to talk and treat people like that. Nobody gave them right to treat people like that. Who do they think they are! This was discrimination, I am not from here, but again they have no right to treat people like that.

Wow! We decided to take our pup here for a second opinion and we're really glad we did. Our regular vet is also really good (Countryside), but we weren't completely convinced that we had received the right/complete diagnosis. Whitesburg was more than happy to take us in to have a look. The staff was so incredibly friendly from the moment we walked in until the time we left, and treated our dog with great care. The vet listened to our concerns, then did an exceptional job of explaining every detail of each procedure and made it clear why she was doing those things. Our biggest surprise came on the bill - what a pleasant surprise to see reasonable prices! We only wanted a second opinion, but we've decided to make Whitesburg our new regular vet. We haven't used their boarding services, but our friends rave about them. I would highly recommend this location!

Of over 30 years of dog ownership, Whitesburg Animal Hospital is THE BEST vet & boarding facility I have ever encountered. The genuine loving care of all staff members has given my dog peaceful enjoyable times when I've had to board him for travel, get shots for him, get his teeth cleaned, and get surgery for him. My dog actually loved this place and the atttention he received from all staff. The care, professionalism, cleanliness, and attitudes observed by me at this facility set a new standard that will probably not be surpassed by other facilities - probably not even approached... We brought our dog in to by neutered. First we warned the staff that he is a little tempermental around new people and to be careful around him. They assured us they knew what they were doing. However, the first thing they did was come up to him and start trying to make kissy faces at him and petting him. Naturally he did exactly what I had warned them about and started to try and bite the ankles of the staff. They then told me I would have to muzzle him and I said that would be fine. Only they gave me a broken muzzle and I tried to explain this to them and once again they ignored me. So when he got out of the muzzle and started to try and bite ankles again they told me that I had to leave and take him somewhere else. I could not believe it. We went to Governors Choice Animal Hospital and they had no problem taking him. They marked him as a "will bite" case and had procedure set in place to handle dogs like this. It was night and day compared to our experience at Whiteburg Animal Hospital.

We have been extremely happy with Whitesburg Animal Hospital ever since we moved to Huntsville five years ago. The veterinarians show caring, excellent medical expertise, and professionalism. The veterinary assistants are wonderful. The people at the reception desk are friendly and welcoming. We have used the boarding services, and our dogs, first Sophia and now Rhea, have done well there. Everyone knows the name of our dog. Our family feels special every time we go to Whitesburg Animal Hospital. I wish hospitals for humans had this warmth and this level of medical service.

This animal hospital well-deserves its AAHA accreditation for standard of veterinary excellence. When my cat became acutely ill and in need of immediate care, they were the only vet I called that could see him that day. Dr. Hall was so good with my cat. She demonstrated exceeding excellence in diagnosing my cat--without adding in unnecessary tests and treatments; she took wonderful care of him; and her communication and interaction with me was excellent. Their fees are mid range, but very reasonable for the level of care they deliver. I highly recommend Dr. Hall at Whitesburg Animal Hospital.

The veterinary boarding facility seriously injured my dog's neck. When, the caretaker described my dog's behavior (sitting in a corner and avoiding the other dogs) it made no sense. When I picked up my dog, she was trembling. Initially, I thought this was because she was happy to see me. However, I soon realized that she was in severe pain, when I walked her (off lead). I took her to the emergency room, where she was diagnosed with a neck injury. Her spleen was also enlarged. I returned to the veterinary boarding facility, where the vet told me that the cause of the pain was her spleen. He was prepared to remove my dog's spleen. This didn't smell right. I returned to my dog's trusted vet (in Florida); she confirmed the neck was injured and told me that the spleen can enlarge, because of injury. Later, the spleen returned to normal. Incidentally, I ran into another pet owner that also had a very bad experience at this facility. I have always been very careful to avoid stress on my dog's neck; I walk her off lead and use a remote trainer. All for naught... Whitesburg damaged my dog's neck and would have covered it up by removing her spleen... that's beyond incompetent.

The boarding facility is great and while I hate not taking my miniature schnauzer with me when I travel, I feel confident that Benny is being taken care of by kind and attentive care-givers. The front desk staff and vet techs are wonderful and always makes sure both Benny and I are being taken care of and never mind when I ask a million questions. Dr. Russell is so patient and kind to my dog and is so gentle when Benny gets nervous. His skill and wealth of knowledge always puts me at ease. My dog, Benny, is my baby and I am always confident that he gets the best care at Whitesburg Animal Hospital!

I do not recommend any pet owner allowing any of Whitesburg staff to treat their pets!!!! Their will always be two sides of each story, so I will tell you mine; I have two French Bulldogs, their doctor Ashley Potts was very nice and knowledgeable. Both I and my partner Jeff was blown away by Ms. Potts, she was so nice and kind to our pups; Thea and Kirk. Right before Christmas, one of our dogs, Thea had a emergency, Dr. Potts and staff did not really care to schedule a appointment till after Thea was feeling better. A appointment was scheduled and she was seen. So, after that the relationship turned sour. Jeff and I went away to the United Kingdom for two weeks, both Thea and Kirk stayed with the vet. Thea had two beds, one was her very first bed. We gave the vet everything to make them both feel like home while we were away. Sadly when we picked up our pups, Thea had a bloody ear and redness on her belly. Kirk was fine. They refused to give us Thea's bed, also they were too busy to take a look at our pups, they wanted us to wait hours to a doctor was available. I then completed a anonymous survey online. I received a call from the vet wanting to terminate the relationship between us and them. The staff member I spoke to was very rude and truly did not care about our pets, all she cared about was protecting her and the vet. She then refused to hand over Thea's bed, she claims we have it and she has us on video.... It was her very first when we adopted her, we will never have it back :( I do not care about the vet, I just want the bed back. I then told the staffer I would come to the vet, she said "no you wont", referencing she will call the police if I did. I fear for my life and I will never take any animal to there vet! I told her I would post a review and she then got very verbally abusive. Do not take you pet to Whitesburg!

We've seen 3 of the doctors at this multi associate clinic and while they've all been respectful and friendly, we really.. REALLY.. love Dr. Ashley Pott. She just exudes compassion and LOVE for what she does and doesn't come off cold or skiddish in any way. I wish I could rate her alone way more than 5 stars. I also feel like she's the only one that actually read our dogs chart before she came into speak with us and seemed knowledgeable about him, his behavior, his ear issues, and what we had already tried without us repeating his history in full again and trying to explain everything to another new doc that we may never actually see a second time.. As is the chance you take with a multi associate clinic of any kind when you don't have a specific dr you know or were recommended from the beginning. Our old boy has had a nasty ear infection that's been intermittently persistent over the past 3 years. We changed doctors/clinics bc our previous Dr was only prescribing mometamax and giving allergy shots a few times a year (over the year and a half we saw him) and nothing was changing. He would get better, but never actually get rid of it for any lengthy period and then it would come back in full force and within an extremely short time frame it just made him and everything near him smell so, sooooo bad. I'm pretty sure he also lost most of his hearing from dealing with this, but it could also be bc he's super old (~12-14). We got Dr. Pott the 3rd time we visited. The other two doctors had followed the same route as the dr we left but minus the allergy shot.. I was giving one last chance to WAH to see if we could at least calm his ear before finding a new doctor and (admittedly) I was a bit skeptical when Dr. Pott suggested a different solution in a steroid plus another different med that she had to administer rather than a take home. No one had even mentioned whatever med it was to us before *or even indicated* there was another option other than mometamax and ear rinsing for 14 days over and over! Within 48 hours it was obvious our boy was already feeling better. His ear was perky again and he didn't seem to be as mopey. He didn't even mind going back to see Dr. Pott for the follow up appointment! After only about a week, it seemed like he was actually able to hear at least a little when yelling his name outside! While the other doctors may be good doctors in their own right, Dr. Pott is truly a great one. At the absolute least she deserves thanks for giving our sweet senior dog his pep and his smile back!

AWFUL TERRIBLE THE WORST VET CLINIC I HAVE EVER BEEN TO Not even ONE star This place sucks .. the people who work there have such BAD AWFUL attitude and god is my witness they are the biggest liars ever Awful customer service Treated my dog with NO CARE (they keep taking him to the back at least like 5 times) and it stressed him a lot They also just care about money .. had me vaccinate my dog twice in one day and took his blood for NO reason and sold me medecine that I did not even need (I even showed them that I already had the medecine at home) but insisted I buy more from them They promised me that if I give my dog two vaccines at their clinic they will allow him to enter their park.. but right after I vaccinated him (knowing that we do not live in huntsville and do not need those vaccines where we come from) they told me that I have to neuter him and that they made it a new policy that day, WHAT A LIE and JOKE (so they just want more and more money on procedures and stuff) The most terrible awful veterinary place I have ever been to .. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL I never been so angry at a business or a palce before My dogs are both teacups and bost cost me 10,000$ and I try to do my best to give them the best care and love there is But this clinic is the last place I will take of them ever again !!!!!

They saved the life of my Golden twice. The first time he was poisoned by treated lumber and the second time he developed throat cancer when he was seven. With their help he lived a great life until he was 15. I now have a yellow lab who goes crazy whenever we go by. He loves the boarding facilities but sometimes we have to go in just so he can say hello. Great service, great staff, great recently renovated facilities.

Our dog, Boo, was bitten by another dog. She was seen at the emergency clinic but then it got infected so we brought her in to see her vet. The care, response, and concern shown by all of the employees was incredible. We are so blessed to have such a good vet to take our babies to! Kudos to Steven....we were outside and were upset about Boo's infection and he went out of his way to stay with us until we were calmed down and knew she would be ok and was in good hands.

though expensive, i have taken several different pets here for over 15 yrs. All the veterinarians have been compassionate and caring. Most of the staff have always been professional and helpful. I have had to make the difficult decision to euthanize two of my cats, and each time everyone was wonderful during these emotional times. The boarding facilities offer different pricing levels and extra s to accommodate clients ability to pay. The staff are helpful in making payment options known. I love Whitesburg Animal Hospital! I refer all my friends to Dr. Russell. The boarding facility is great and while I hate not taking my miniature schnauzer with me when I travel, I feel confident that Benny is being taken care of by kind and attentive care-givers. The front desk staff and vet techs are wonderful and always makes sure both Benny and I are being taken care of and never mind when I ask a million questions. Dr. Russell is so patient and kind to my dog and is so gentle when Benny gets nervous. His skill and wealth of knowledge always puts me at ease. I never feel like we're being rushed and all my concerns and questions are taken care of. My dog, Benny, is my baby and I am always confident that he gets the best care at Whitesburg Animal Hospital!

I do not recommend any pet owner allowing any of Whitesburg staff to treat their pets!!!! Their will always be two sides of each story, so I will tell you mine; I have two French Bulldogs, their doctor Ashley Potts was very nice and knowledgeable. Both I and my partner Jeff was blown away by Ms. Potts, she was so nice and kind to our pups; Thea and Kirk. Right before Christmas, one of our dogs, Thea had a emergency, Dr. Potts and staff did not really care to schedule a appointment till after Thea was feeling better. A appointment was scheduled and she was seen. So, after that the relationship turned sour. Jeff and I went away to the United Kingdom for two weeks, both Thea and Kirk stayed with the vet. Thea had two beds, one was her very first bed. We gave the vet everything to make them both feel like home while we were away. Sadly when we picked up our pups, Thea had a bloody ear and redness on her belly. Kirk was fine. They refused to give us Thea's bed, also they were too busy to take a look at our pups, they wanted us to wait hours to a doctor was available. I then completed a anonymous survey online. I received a call from the vet wanting to terminate the relationship between us and them. The staff member I spoke to was very rude and truly did not care about our pets, all she cared about was protecting her and the vet. She then refused to hand over Thea's bed, she claims we have it and she has us on video.... It was her very first when we adopted her, we will never have it back :( I do not care about the vet, I just want the bed back. I then told the staffer I would come to the vet, she said "no you wont", referencing she will call the police if I did. I fear for my life and I will never take any animal to there vet! I told her I would post a review and she then got very verbally abusive. Do not take you pet to Whitesburg!

AWFUL TERRIBLE THE WORST VET CLINIC I HAVE EVER BEEN TO Not even ONE star This place sucks .. the people who work there have such BAD AWFUL attitude and god is my witness they are the biggest liars ever Awful customer service Treated my dog with NO CARE (they keep taking him to the back at least like 5 times) and it stressed him a lot They also just care about money .. had me vaccinate my dog twice in one day and took his blood for NO reason and sold me medecine that I did not even need (I even showed them that I already had the medecine at home) but insisted I buy more from them They promised me that if I give my dog two vaccines at their clinic they will allow him to enter their park.. but right after I vaccinated him (knowing that we do not live in huntsville and do not need those vaccines where we come from) they told me that I have to neuter him and that they made it a new policy that day, WHAT A LIE and JOKE (so they just want more and more money on procedures and stuff) The most terrible awful veterinary place I have ever been to .. AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL I never been so angry at a business or a palce before My dogs are both teacups and bost cost me 10,000$ and I try to do my best to give them the best care and love there is But this clinic is the last place I will take of them ever again !!!!!

They saved the life of my Golden twice. The first time he was poisoned by treated lumber and the second time he developed throat cancer when he was seven. With their help he lived a great life until he was 15. I now have a yellow lab who goes crazy whenever we go by. He loves the boarding facilities but sometimes we have to go in just so he can say hello. Great service, great staff, great recently renovated facilities.

Our dog, Boo, was bitten by another dog. She was seen at the emergency clinic but then it got infected so we brought her in to see her vet. The care, response, and concern shown by all of the employees was incredible. We are so blessed to have such a good vet to take our babies to! Kudos to Steven....we were outside and were upset about Boo's infection and he went out of his way to stay with us until we were calmed down and knew she would be ok and was in good hands.

though expensive, i have taken several different pets here for over 15 yrs. All the veterinarians have been compassionate and caring. Most of the staff have always been professional and helpful. I have had to make the difficult decision to euthanize two of my cats, and each time everyone was wonderful during these emotional times. The boarding facilities offer different pricing levels and extra s to accommodate clients ability to pay. The staff are helpful in making payment options known. I always recommend W.A.H. when anyone ask for a veterinarian.

This clinic will try to swindle you at every turn, trying to convince you to buy everything under the sun to properly take care of your dog's illness. My dog has been sick with the same problem for 2 months with a very simple illness, and they have yet to resolve the problem, all the while being dramatic about it and making me buy expensive medicine after expensive medicine ($2,000 so far) without a resolution to the problem. Highly incompetent. They have misread symptoms and given her medicine that she has had horrible reactions to. Some of the staff members are very sweet, but others are downright rude. Save yourself from experiencing rude staff and incompetent vets and just take your money elsewhere.

Have experienced wonderful service for our cats and dog. One of our cats had to be put down after a lengthy illness and they were so wonderful about that. Our dog got sick while he was being boarded and they did what we wanted and figured out what was the cause. Our dog is dying of cancer but is still happy and fairly energetic so they are supporting us with medication to help him a bit but totally on board with us on not trying to do desperate measures for a dog riddled with metastatic cancers throughout various organs. Everyone there is very polite and caring.
