Love Dr. Adams, his staff and the services received. However, be prepared for a long wait time without an appointment. Last time I was there, I waited 2 hours in the waiting room and then another 1 hour in the exam room for my pet to be seen.. Quite ridiculous if you ask me. Other than the above average wait times, this place is the best veterinary office I've been to and would recommend to others.

He is reasonable as far as pricing; that is actually why we started taking all of our animals there. I highly recommend using him. He does stay very busy, so often there is wait time. I have used Dr. Adams since he first opened his doors. He is very knowledgeable and has always been great with my small animals. Horses, however are a different story. I tried for 2 days calling his office (which you are lucky if you can get a live person to answer) and his joke of an emergency number that was NEVER answered and will not take a message is ridiculous!!!!! Our mare was down, very sick and in terrible pain. I practically begged him 3 times over 2 days to please come check her and he never responded. Finally I got a person to answer his office phone on the second day to be told by his 'receptionist' that Dr. Adams " didn't have a window of opportunity" to come check my suffering horse and I need to contact another vet. So much for being a loyal customer and spending thousands of dollars over the last 30+ years to keep my animals healthy!! By the time I could get another vet out here, she was much worse and had suffered unnecessarily for days bc I kept hoping that Dr. Adams would respond and come out. I know he has more business than he can handle but that's NO EXCUSE to let an animal suffer like she pitifully did. If I would have been told that he was never going to be able to come out, I could have called the other vet much earlier and possibly saved her and her unborn foal. At the very least, she could have been saved a day and a half of agonizing misery. She had to be mercifully euthanized by the compassionate vet that came out just a few hours after the first time I called her. No animal should have to go through what our poor mare did. Dr. Adams needs to remove equine from his practice since he is too busy seeing small animals or get some more help or ANYTHING to prevent the inhumanity that he allowed my horse to suffer through!!!

A Facebook friend recommended them to me to for getting my dog's ears cropped they did a wonderful job front desk was very friendly also help setting up another appointment for another dog I have I did drive a good ways away considering their are in Dora and I drove from Birmingham two days in a row but it was well worth it!! places in Birmingham charging up to $500 they only charge 131 so I was willing to take the $50 in gas it took to get there I was and am very satisfied

We took mr adams our 17 yr. Old dog 3 visits last one waited over 3 1/2 hrs.to see dr. His partner moved to bham .so he is overloaded he said dog still had kidney problems go to specialists in bham.dog almost died 2 times took to different doc. And he spent 6 days in icu had hook worms and je made my dog suffer 2 weeks with rushed. Bad diagnosis.dog is barly hanging on.dont recommend

The animal control picked my dog up when he got lost and dropped him off at Dr Adams office. They took very good care of him and made sure I had proof I was the owner so no one else could take him. I'm so glad for this place that takes in lost animals for a few days to help them find their homes before going to a shelter. I don't use this vet but I do recommend them.

Dr. Adams is amazing. He never does anything that isn't necessary to charge you alot more money. I went in with my dog limping, and felt around her leg and didn't do unnecessary exrays. He gave her antibiotics and joint supplements and shes already better after one day. Any other vet would have took exrays just 2 get more money. If I have to move to Chattanooga, Tennessee for work, I would still drive an hour and ahalf back to doctor Adams to treat my babies
