I called ahead to see if they would see a kitten I had gotten and they told me to bring her on in. I got there and there were three people with two dogs in front of me speaking to one of the THREE people behind the counter. I signed in after being there about 5 minutes and no one offering to help me. I just had a few questions about potential wait times, costs, etc. so I did think I needed to sign it, but I did. At one point there were four people behind the counter but none even acknowledged that there was a line of people. After about another 10 minutes of waiting, an older gentleman walks in and signs in AFTER me. About two minutes later, one of the three people behind the counter picks up the sign in sheet and highlights a name, thinking it was mine, and then says Mr. Whomever, how can I help you. The GUY WHO CAME IN AFTER ME. I was looking for a vet to use longterm for my new kitten but after being overlooked for 15 minutes and then blatantly ignored, I will not be using them. Not to mention, my poor kitten was sitting in the car waiting ...

Way overpriced. Expensive services rendered without asking me first. Went in with a simple UTI and almost passed out when my bill was almost $300. All I needed was antibiotics. Front desk staff was aloof and uninformed. Lacked people skills and knowledge. Later found out I was overcharged for one service because staff put wrong info in computer. I found out because the vet called to ask how my cat was and asked if I'd been contacted about the overcharge. I had not.

It was the worst inhumane treatment to an animal, it seems like was more a monetary interest than the heath of my dog. I have had some pleasent experiences in the past with a different doctor there but this one who I feel like he put my animal in danger for thinking of money instead of his profession, Due to his actions I left the place after being charged for what I feel was nothing and drove to Tuskegee university animal clinic and for half of what I had to pay him for the visit the staff at the university we're so helpful understanding and humane and saved my dogs life , truly a shame that this doctor in Opelika hospital has carry him self in such inhumane way ,all for the money ! to him I say money is not all in life and money was not an issue, I suggest the place I went and hope that no one has to indure what this doctor has done to me very unprofessional ,My dog is now great not thanks to you sr.your $ 900.00 dollar's quoted and the $118.00 charge to me was more than enough for me to never recommend your place again and yes my dog got fix with a $75.00 treatment, Shame

My mother and I had a wonderful experience at Opelika Animal Hospital! We were a little worried when we called to make an appointment on a Saturday, and they said they're walk in only. We only waited about 5-10 min to see the doctor. Dr. Hunt was so great. He even called and asked to see how our brand new baby kitty was doing. I would definitely recommend this animal hospital!

Such wonderful doctors that really care about your animals. We've had a few scares with our pups and were extremely worried that something may occur when the vet was not opened, but the doctor made us feel reassured by providing us with his personal number in case something was to happen. He would also call us himself every few days just to check in and make sure everything was going well. Everyone is very personable and always makes you feel welcomed here. Highly recommend!

For more than 16 years my parents and I have trusted Dr. Colley to take care of our animals. Dr. Colley does not treat them like animals, but more like your children and part of the family. If your in the market for a place that will love your animals as much as you do, and give you honest and fair opinions- go to Opelika Animal Hospital. Last summer when I got a puppy of my own, I knew there was no one else I would trust with her. Dr. Colley not only takes amazing care of her in the office, but has called to check on her after visits. You can't beat the level of care they provide.

Very friendly staff! As a frequent traveler it can be difficult to find top of the line pet boarding. I felt confident in this location just after a brief conversation with the staff. I have to drive an hour out of my way for this location. However it is certainly worth the time. I highly recommend this location! Keep up the awesome job!

We boarded our dogs for thanksgiving. Tripod was able to walk into the vets office to be boarded, they did an intake check-up saying that Tripod was okay, but when we went to pick him up tripod couldn’t walk to the car. Nobody mentioned anything to us about it. As soon as he got home he started pooping on himself without being able to get up or go out. The next day he was having diarrhea that was pure blood and he was dead 36 hours after we picked him up. We’ve talked to Colley, Hunt and Epperson about it and they all deflect and act like “oh his heart must have given out because he’s old.” He didn’t poop pure blood from that. They want to sue us for not paying a bill and all they want to do is give us $100 off a bill for murdering our dog. All they care about is money. Use this vet if you hate your animals, or if you want your pet to die and get thrown in the church trash can across the street.

Dr Epperson is wonderful. She diagnosed my Daisy with a heart issue and sent me to The University Animal Hospital cardiologist for a second opinion and for more testing if necessary. The cardiologist praised her for the correct diagnosis, the correct tests she ran, and the correct medication and dosage she prescribed. I feel she prolonged Daisy life and I appreciate her love and care. The entire practice including the other employees and doctors are great.

Never going back. Told me I could do the payment plan without a check, when I went to go pick up my cat I had to pay the rest right on the spot. Worst of all is they thought I was lying. Never called me about my cat until I messaged the vet on Facebook. I told them I had a time limit on when they could call because I work nights.

They will injure your dog, if not kill it. They have put my dog and many of my friends dogs in harms way, to the point they killed a friends dog. When this was posted on their account, we all got blocked because OAH won't own up. They've been caught throwing dead dogs in dumpsters nearby, they killed my friends dog when she went in for a CHECKUP, they will charge people for extra days when their dogs die when staying for a few days, they liked about what my dog had and we took him to another vet who immediately knew his situation in minutes, and then a vet disclosed to me that a dog was brought to her after getting fixed at OAH and part of the dogs INTESTINE had been cut out instead of being fixed and she was extremely sick! Awful, terrible place. Needs to be shut down immediately.
