I was very fortunate to attend UW-Madison and received BS, MS, and PhD. Its graduate school (engineering) had very good assistantship (RA, TA, PA) programs so I received my MS and PhD a free of charge. Life quality in Madison was very good. Nice student apartment (eagle heights) and various supporting programs like CCTAP which support preschool cost for students' kids. So, my kids were able to go to preschool due to the support by UW. After the graduation, I was able to find a job at a fortune 500 company easily. Working in Industry, I found that I received a very good quality education at UW - so it helped a lot in my career. Also, UW Madison has a great reputation nationally, easily recognized by many people - the degree from UW make me look smarter than I really am. It was great experience.

I was dismayed to learn that the National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders has given more than $3 million for a series of cruel experiments on cats at the University of WisconsinMadison (UW). Now I recently uncovered yet another disturbing study being proposed at the Univ of Wisconsin. In this experiment, the brains of young anxious monkeys will be probed and injected with chemicals known to disrupt specific areas of the brain nerve circuitry ostensibly linked to anxiety and depression. This manipulation will allow certain behaviors to be switched on and off in the monkeys at the whim of the experimenter essentially turning them into mere puppets. This new scientific ‘toy’ has the potential to abuse thousands of primates for many years to come if not challenged by the public.

The worst college! PLEASE CHOOSE SOMEWHERE ELSE. They tried to charge me in any ways they possibly could. I am an international student, I20 was supposed be given to me as long as I was attending the school. However, they forced me to pay an additional $3000 on the I20 process. In the mean time, I was FORCED to take their ESL class even though I gave them a proof of fluency in English. Which was a lot more money I had to pay for this useless course. And most hilarious thing, they charged me $10 to print a proof of me attended this college . If you are an international student, seek somewhere else because almost of the expenses will not be informed to you in advance. You will only be surprised with ridiculous costs you have to pay. I came here to learn, but the programs here aren’t worth anything. All they want to do is charge you at all aspects.

This is the most amazing school. Top notch academics. Great City. Incredible location. Nice people. Winning athletic program. Tons of great restaurants in town. The beautiful capital is just a quick walk up State Street. The weekly Farmer's Market is truly the best in the country. You have to to the fried cheese booth, and Stella's Spicy Cheese Bread. OMG!!! I guess the "head over heels" appeal factor depends on what you're doing there, and where you are coming from. Who doesn't enjoy a place on a lake? Shared with anyone and everything, its different. The Wisconsin dream or idea, is 1) quarter barrel keg beer, 2) any sort of sweaty manual labor/ athletics, and 3) deep fried cheese curds. Thats the real bedrock, behind the scenes support for all this. If its your dream too, you've found a home! I do not go to this school, nor do I even live in WI. I am visiting and thinking about transferring. My point is that all I am rating on right now is what I saw and explored - mixed with how we were treated by other students and staff. Had a great experience. The buildings are absolutely gorgeous and they have a really cool little alley with food carts. Everyone we encountered was very friendly and helpful. We were approached twice by people who could tell we were clearly lost!! HA. I appreciated that very much. Only 4 because I don't know how the actual classes or professors are there (yet?).

These experiments leave something to be desired, but are a good start towards ridding this world of cats and preventing their notoriously socially inept owners from procreating. First of all this is a school where students whine about the problem with white peoplr yet it is super racist, probably the only school which literally keeps black graduates from gong to graduate school. Many of the professors are great here but this is the most absolutely racist, homophobic place I have ever been. I am currently filling legal action for the school and police department protecting alumni who had been harrssing me for years for being Queer. This includes emails from Downbeat Magazine editor Aaron Cohen calling transgender people crazy in a work email. This behavior overshadows the academics during the experience. The list goes on and on including not telling Microsoft one of their employees refepused to include a Muslim woman in our international markinging class in on group projects. I would recommend never hiring graduates of this school. It should be renamed Potential Class Adtion Lawsuit University. If you work in any diverse city make sure HR doesn’t hire from here. I finally had enough but it was demoralizing especially because so many of their inferior dominant culture students asked me to cheat for them and there are classes like Tony Michaels Jewish Studies class which is there for rich New Yorkers to cheat, I took the class and there were about 18 students in th class until the final exam when over a dozen new students showed up and I found out it was an academic fraud factory, Michaels gets an apartment in Brooklyn in exchange, it’s a real mess, also rape is practically legal here. They have been investigated three times by the DOJ for cover ups and two separate men on our student newspaper raped women and called if an accident, All true. How this school is even ranked anymore I do not know,

I was just recently in the UW Hosppital for personal reasons, I got to say the Nursing staff as wel as the Doctors, Therapist, and the Social Workers really did help me get back healthy. I guess thats why they call it "UW Health." Thanks again to all the staff there! P.S. the housekeeping staff and can't forget about the kitchen staff! Any college that encourages deafening cats, screwing metal screws in their heads, implanting steel coils in their eyes and drilling holes in their skulls should be disbarred from any academic standing whatsoever. I had also been to Washington university in st Louis, although the rankings say the latter has a much higher ranking, I certainly do not feel like so. UW Madison and the city of Madison are both much more enjoyable places than Washington university in St Louis and the city of St. Louis. I would love to live in Madison again but will never go back to St Louis even if being paid to do so, very lousy and disastrous place and very mean and greedy and lazy and lousy people out there. Claudia Reardon is a BAD PERSON after i disclosed to her that my father had cancer, she dumps me as a patient for something that has nothing to do with mental health, we had a disagreement about my treatment. So she wrote a bunch of negative things about me in epic "there data base" but when i reach out on pubic media, inbox text her on how upset I was. She gets me kicked out of University programs cause, I inbox texted her on face book in 2012. If you want serous mental heath care, U.W. is not the place to get it.

Horrible University which is also in the spotlight for incredibly cruel animal experiments. UW Madison is responsible for intentionally deafening a cat name "double trouble" then planting metal coils behind her head and screwing a metal screw into her head. She lost voluntary control of half her face and eventually became too ill to continue the study and was put down. This is one of many horror stories from this morally absent institution. This university is going to conduct unethical barbaric maternal deprivation studies on baby monkeys. They will take the baby monkeys from their mother, continuously expose them to stressful stimuli (such as snakes, loud noises, ect...), and then kill the monkeys at 1 years of age and dissect their brain. Their justification for this cruelty is that they will use this to study how anxiety affects a developing brain. The brain development of monkeys is not the same as human children and thus this experiments benefits would be minimal. This experiment is nothing more than a fishing experiment by a Professor who wants to get some press. This experiment clearly does not reach the threshold where the medical value of the experiment outweighs the cruelty that will be suffered by the animals.
