Cyrus Khemalaap

One of the classy, better respected schools along the west coast, in the same regional category as Santa Clara, Seattle and Gonzaga. The Hawks & Zags modernized and PLU fell behind fast to stay budgeted in the 90's. PLU was the largest Lutheran university in the nation around 1990 which appears to be returning by growing the graduate school. This is not a bible college. It's closer to that of a small Notre Dame or a BYU Ultra Light. The campus is divided by forestry and topography, so athletic students live in one cluster of dorms while global & creative types in the older dorms. The rest are off-campus. People are very polite, nonetheless. U of Portland was my 1st choice, was rejected. PLU was my 2nd choice. I had an absolute blast! No regrets.

I'm on the campus almost weekly,because my school is a minute or two away. Always clean, people are welcoming, full of smiles, and they do a lot to give back to the community. Love it.

Campus is beautiful, and you can always find something to do, whether it's an open mic night or a frisbee game on foss field. PLU is a very welcoming community with small class sizes and friendly professors. The library is a great place to get quiet studying done, and there are lots of places to get coffee!

Sure wish I could buy some merchandise from the book store. It seems that you have to be a student to do so. How about some of us old Alumni that would like to buy a few items? Let me know when you open an online store up. I'd like a couple of sweatshirts, a hat and some license plate holders to start! lol

The campus security harasses people, most of the students and faculty are nice, overall don't go here because it's not worth the trouble.

PLU as they call it has some extremely strong music programs. I personally didn't attend here per sei, but I did a very long visit here to see if traveling half way across the united states was worth going to this college. Now that I have graduated another university I still personally wished I had forked out the cash to do so. PLU has excellent academics, programs and unique learning structures that I definitely could have used. Much of the Midwest doesn't have near the standards as this University does. The food here served at this campus was really good compared to what a lot of the other Universities offer.
