Prepare to walk into this place and have your soul crushed. Every time I've gone in, hopeful, that maybe somebody will be polite and lay out exactly what I need to do to get things done. I've gone in a dozen times already and each time I'm hit with a new obstacle or staff is rude. Basically, expect to walk in and get shuffled around to various departments where nobody wants to deal with you.

The staff are very helpful and the location is super convenient. The facility is nice and clean compared to some college I have been in.

It's nice to see such a clean professional school in the Seattle area, they even have free computer lessons, a work source, DSHS office, kids baby sitting area, plus the school has really cool programs, as well as many bus stops just a block or 2 away if you bus. I drive and there is always plenty of parking. I'm starting next semester!

North Seattle college is a super special place. The class sizes are small, the education is through, and the professors genuinely care. What a gift this place has been on my life.

Treated me well. Will be back. (prior to starting actual classes) (Now) -This has changed. I will continue to update my experience on here as I see fit. This has dropped substantially due to numerous incidents of accusations, robberies on campus, and the fact that I don't particularly feel safe on that campus. They placed a hold on my registration for false accusations against my character and it was a really unprofessional and rude meeting I had with the security team. I continue to attend this college because one I want to obtain my degree in International business and Jesse Cooley is awesome at his job. without those factors I would have pursued a degree somewhere else and this would be a one. I will update this when my degree is complete. (Future) To be determined.....

I recently went through the electronics program at North and got an Associates in Electronics Technology. Upon graduation I got accepted as an Electronics Technician at Boeing. I can't speak highly enough of the teachers I had throughout my time here, a couple of which unfortunately no longer teach. Chuck, Chris and Tim are terrific and really know their subjects. The lab is well stocked with test tools and components, and you can usually find Chris or Chuck roaming around to help you with your projects. Its a great environment for learning your craft. The only qualm I have with this college is that the admissions office takes a long time to get your certificates and degrees to you. It took well over two months from the end of my last quarter for my AAS to come in the mail. Not a big issue if you have a job already, but inconvenient for those who are looking to get to work right away.

Hey I go here! I've only taken math and science courses but the community is friendly. A lot of Asians like, omg. Hey I'm not hating I'm Asian too. Anyway, This place is a good place for classes. The teachers/professors/instructors are good. Facility is okay; feels like high school, not too grand but okay. The gym had a machine that's been on eternal repair; TV not working especially during World Cup; not a lot of chicks working out :P; but I make a lot of friends there.

Thanks to NSC, I was able to graduate with my AB degree. The admin staff are so friendly and supportive, thank you.

Went for culinary school in mid 2000's. Half way through they replaced our instructors with incompetent (Robert Sutzle) ACF chefs. They closed the program before a lot of us finished. couldn't finish at any of the other colleges. BIG WASTE OF TIME!!! Dean is crooked. Worst community college in Seattle. On top of all that, the instructor that was supposed to teach us gave me poor grades, even though I was one of two or three people to do all assignments and almost perfect attendance. I think its because I was a better and more knowledgeable chef, and I think he became jealous how the other students listened to me more than him. Its embarrassing telling people i went here for school, which is why I don't tell many I did.

Thanks to NSC, I was able to graduate with my AA while working full-time, and get accepted to my first-choice college in Hawaii with a tuition discount. There was a lot of hardship I underwent between the start of my degree and the end of it, but NSC faculty was both supportive and flexible. Thank you.

I am the cousin of Snoop Dogg and Sasha Banks and North Seattle College discriminated against me a student with a disability! They refused me a black student the right to take a class with white students even though Racial segregation has ended. My teacher in History 146 failed me on purpose with a 0 grade so I could fail and be kicked out of college because it lowed my G.P.A to a 1.75 I had a 3.00 because I have gotten one A and a B- but that 0 lowed passed the 2.0 requirement! North Seattle is not a school to go to if you want to be equal because they will take away your right of freedom and they don't care who you are our related to!

Trylla Tuttle

Love the student support here from the institution and the other students. Feels like home and I can imagine taking more classes here as time goes on. Teachers are very invested.

Love this school, its teachers, faculty, setting, and its relaxed atmosphere. Only thing I dislike is the cafeteria which is horrible and expensive. But everything else is wonderful.

I learned alot.

I actually give them 1* for taking advantage of a disabled person. Was looking forward to starting my college career at North, only to be misdirected and lied to about the enrollment process. This college is a scam. They got my FA then disenrolled me without my knowledge, after my application was approved. If you are disabled, don't expect any help from them. Student advisors lie, they don't offer basic classes ( Math 110) and forget about all of it if you need Financial Aid.I don't need a used car, I want an EDUCATION. See you at UW, that's where I will be.

wish the staff was compensated like university staff. In a lot of ways teachers are more in touch with real world.

The school is nice, but there's one librarian really disappointed me. I reserved a room in the library to study. I was so tired after workout, so I decided to take a power nap. Then a white male rudely open the door and said "if u not going to study, let me have the room." Then I told him I just going to take a power nap. Then he left and report it to the librarian. After 15 mins, the librarian walks in and told me "seems like ur group is not coming, some one is try to use it now so I might ask u to leave." I was really disappointed by her act. But a gentleman will never argue with a woman. I just want to say, I paid the same amount of tuition as everyone else does, I deserve better than this. Last quarter in north, one and only bad review.

Great campus, hard to navigate though

The professors are great, most of them are UW transplants. The financial aid office is difficult, I would recommend going early. Looks a little bit like a prison. Gym is a nice surprise.

One of the best pharmacy tech school in northern Washington schools. Congratulation.

okay, let's talk about that

Man, this guys are amazing. They really put the student first. I love this college because they helped me in such a huge way for my future. If you guys are thinking about going back check out this college because they will help you better your life.

The Financial Aid office people do not answer the phone. I called them everyday to check if the may answer the phone, but they are still sleeping at job. I went to their office, and I found out that they act like they are paying the student's tuition from their own pocket. I hated North Seattle College because of them. Shoreline and Edmonds community Colleges have much better Financial Aid office employees.

Spent 3 years at NSC (formerly North Seattle Community College or NSCC) getting my AS-Transfer to UW. This was my first Alma Mater, and while it does look a lot like a prison in the winter (all tall boxy cement buildings with paved paths that block a lot of sunlight & have few windows), in the spring all the plants come alive and it's a totally different place. It's a great starting point for people in the sciences or the arts that require workshops (jewelry fabrication and ceramics) or early education. The math teachers are great (so much so that I went from failing math all my HS years to getting A's in Calculus and Computer Sci with my teachers' help, and ended up helping others as a volunteer in the MLC for several years). Not every teacher is awesome in every department, of course, but I did well thanks in no small part to the encouragement of the longtime educators there.

Computer science doesn't require English here, I'm having a hard time to register CS in shorelineCC because they must require English101, too much troubles. I'm Glad and thankful that North can give people who doesn't have a perfect English a chance to learn CS. ❤❤ And soooo many parking spots are Available all the time, dont need to worry about parking all the time.

Great school for beginning your degree program. Located next to some of the most affordable housing in north Seattle. Housed in what was meant to be a jail. Notice the exterior only floor changes, and the skywalks over the commons that were clearly repurposed.

I should do my thesis on dysfunctional bureaucracies using this place as a case study. I have attended 6 colleges and universities in my academic career and never have I seen anything even approaching the utter ineptitude and backwards organization of this wholly nightmarish institution. Any other school in the Seattle area should be chosen over North. Commute to Central or Shoreline. This place is a living dystopia.

I’ve been to a few colleges and this one is definitely my favorite. The teachers genuinely care about your education and are well equipped with the tools to teach you the material and help you succeed. I like the curriculum for the science classes better than other colleges. Almost every class is offered every quarter so you don’t have to waste your time waiting for a class to be offered. The campus itself was kind of quiet and laid back when I attended but I think I prefer that compared to a lively campus. Also, there is a huge parking lot in the back so it’s usually pretty easy to find a parking spot.

Noel Hosmillo

i seriously have no idea what has gotten into my mind when i decided to go to this school. The campus itself suck because it's a literal prison and it's depressing to even look at it from distance. The cafeteria food is TRASH. Most of the professors barely qualifies for their job. Please please if you have a choice, do not step your foot in to this school. Seattle central might be kinda gross but it's a less pathetic community college compared to North.

Mike Wunderlich

Impossible to get anyone on the phone to answer a very simple question. The phone system is a labyrinth of options that all lead to a person reading content that is already on the website.

I am not a student, but have a very close friend that is a student and I would just like to note our horrid experience with this college. The professors are unorganized and horrible and make online classes difficult and complicated. I attended college at Bellevue College and had never seen such confusion and stupidity from professors until my experience with North Seattle College. The counseling and the office have no idea what they are talking bout and my friend was screwed over multiple times and missed a quarter and financial aid because of lost paperwork. Overall the college is a disaster with unprofessional and uninformed staff that do not know how to teach or aid in the learning process.

I was really excited to get back into my education at North Seattle College only to be highly disappointed. I was mislead when registering for classes and ended up being enrolled in CMA 101 which I later found out you need to be accepted into their CMA program exclusively, but when I registered nobody told me anything of the sort. Later on down the road my instructor emails me (very rudely) saying she doesn’t know how I got into her class and this class is only for her medical students and that I shouldn’t even be in this class and I need to drop it immediately as if it was my fault? So I did. I’m currently on the phone (I’ve been on hold for 40 minutes now) to get my refund for the money I wasted here. Last time I was on hold for 30 minutes I got sent to an answering machine saying there is no longer someone available to take my call. Hopefully this time I can actually talk to someone. *update* I was sent to voicemail again. Waiting for someone to call me back.

I definitely believe that this is the best DSHS office in the Seattle King County region I have dealt with a few other offices but mainly the White Center office and now the north Seattle College office and if I ever have a choice I will choose only to go to this office it seems as if there is a younger more holistic feeling that I received from the social workers which is much better than the usual judgement and discernment

There are a lot of faculty who genuinely care to see students succeed. The most helpful areas of NSC are the instructors who make themselves approachable outside of lectures and give mentoring advice to students.
