As a 2013 graduate of LWIT, I highly recommend it. LWIT is an incredible school prepare you with the skills you need to work in the field you dream of. LWIT has so many business and industry connection that provide the tools, work experience and job opportunities that you and your implore are looking for! Myself like many students was offered a job before I even completed my degree. The faculty genuinely care about the students and their is always a way to get the help you need.

the first word that comes to mid when describing this school is incompetent, the professors are incapable of teaching their classes and believe they are only responsible for "5%" of the students education. If you wish to attend a school that puts the needs of the students education first do not go here. i took an auto cad class with "Charles Williams" that he did not provide lectures for and didn't know the program that he was teaching often getting lost or confused. when asked a question the professor was often unable to answer having to direct the question to other students. this class was also often left to the TA to teach. when the students brought these problems to light the teach deducted their grades for "disruption of class". i would like to say that this is a localized incident but unfortunately this describes most of the professors and staff at this school. the only interest the staff takes in their students education is where their wallet is located.

The building is nice, the atmosphere is nice. Most teachers are great and would like to see you be successful. The advising office is my least favorite because I am always continually being given incorrect information, information in which is very important to have. The advisors are sometimes very hard to get a hold of and some do not get back to you, and when they do they don't give you the information you needed. I have wasted a whole day and gas to go to appointments that I could have just gotten the information over the phone, or through email, the front office is touch and go as well. Other than that the school is nice, I'd recommend it, but make sure you get the correct information the first time and not when it's too late.

I feel very lucky to go here. The teachers teach you to teach yourself, and they have computers with every possible program you would ever need to learn how to do whatever it is you dream of.

I'm not sure why you ran away and hid in the men's restroom. I'm still waiting for you to come out. Please, ok. I will be here for you.

Extremely unresponsive staff. Rude and unwilling to help students. Says they sent things in the mail- never recieved it. Only if I knew a year ago that this school was only going to fincancially burden me And not help me towards my degree at all I would’ve never enrolled.

All of the teachers at this school are actually in the field and can give you an accurate representation of what it's like to actually go out and DO the job you're going to school for. I haven't just gotten busywork, I've gotten meaningful assignments with a clear lesson and friendly help. I'm sincerely grateful for their help during my college career!

A lot of teachers at this school don't really know how to teach. I was in their mmdp program and it was complete waste of time. I learned more by watching videos online than going to that school.

As a person who went back to school at age 55 I am grateful that not one moment of my time was wasted. Everything I learned in the PTA program drove my ability to pass the state tests and perform on the job. This experience stands out as one of life's good decisions.

The main campus building is old, the other two a a little newer bit still for the most part you fell like you stuck in the 80 or 90. Every teacher I have had are really nice and actually do care about your education. Though some of them don't really know how to teach but they are really great people and will do there best. The cafeteria is nasty, but has some okay things like drinks. The student government is great they always put on fun events and good parties. The adviser are probably the greatest part of the school. They have many programs but it's hard to get higher than an at. All in all I think that this school is a good transfer school.

There is a bullying going on in Lake Washington Institute of Technology (Kirkland, WA). The instructor's name Sam, he told to students in the class to insult and call derogatory nick name one of the student in front of the class. The guy's name is Eugeniy. If you are a government, police, or any kind of law representative please step in: - i need your help to stop this hunting.

I have searched many colleges in usa but i found this one the best among all as the environment is good, teachers are qualified,c ollege has got many programs to study and the college fee is also affordable for me...if i will get visa then i will be glad to study in this college.....

Lake Washington Institute of Technology is a second rate college not because of the staff or classes but because of the students. The atmosphere is degrading to each other’s success due to a number of things but mainly to the students unwilling to work hard and produce quality work. This in turn forces the colleges to lower the bar for the student body as a whole. If you’re in nursing, automotive, or machining field of study the atmosphere is better as far as I’ve seen and heard. But overall in the other fields if you’re looking to be challenged by your peers I’d look elsewhere because LWT is not competitive in any aspect.

I was a part time student in 2016. I took an introductory statistics class, that I needed for a program at the UW. The instructor told us there would be no exams, no final, and that we could pick our own grade for the class, but that we'd have fun and learn a lot. Sure enough, there were no real exams, and no final exam. And yes, everyone got to pick they're own final grade for the class. The instructor skipped all of the mathematical exercises. He told us that most teachers, unlike him, don't know how to teach. Unfortunately, I hardly learned anything worthwhile in that class. Almost certainly, I will have to retake statistics again at the UW. So even though the parking was free, my educational experience was sorely lacking. I thought I was saving money by going to LWIT for my statistics class, but from a "Cost vs. Value" perspective, I wasted my tuition money, and most importantly, my time. I can replace the money, but I cannot replace the time wasted at that college. An administrator there confessed to me that since enrollment was very low, the college wasn't receiving enough state and federal money, so as a result, "Certain necessary attributes" had gone lacking. I would guess that LWIT was happy to receive my tuition money, but the worthless credits I received are barely worth mentioning.

I am a 55 year old returning student who attended a " Little Ivy " college in my first time around. My prep school was rated #3 in the US by Forbes.I have enjoyed some of the best educational opportunities that the US can offer. I have surprisingly found most of the instructors here to be very dedicated and qualified. Some stand out, some are better than others, but none are lemons. They compare fairly well , within reason, of the instructors I had at my elite schools.BTW, because the program I am taking is in high demand in the private sector, the government provides extra money for financially qualified students. I will go through my six quarter program at about 20% of the cost.I had no idea that the money is out there if you take the time to look. Do yourself a favor and get off the couch. I should have done this years ago.

[This review is for the IT & SW Eng depts only.] You can get really great hands-on experience and build skills with industry standard HW (Cisco routers, Cat5e cables, etc.) & SW (Java on Eclipse, etc.) from the long experienced instructors in the IT and SW Dev departments. They are very knowledgeable & helpful. There should be professional assistants hired to help the instructors who are teaching the lab courses by themselves - it's too much for one person to help up to 30 students during 3-4+ hour-long labs. Good training value as a community school for these specific two areas.

"Technology"? I can't even do my homework in class!? The cpu keeps freezing up! I had to wait until the end of the quarter to meet with an advisor to sign up for classes I didn't want. Now I got a teacher that I didn't want. This school is far from "Technology". It's more like a outdated community college. The staff is mostly nice & helpful for the most part. But some things could be better.

My son attends their high school completion program. So far it is a great fit. The staff is caring, competent and responsive.
