REVIEWS OF Norwich University IN Vermont

Seems the one-star reviews were based on personal problems and inconveniences unrelated to the quality of this institution. This is an excellent school, rich in history with a staff that goes above and beyond. I am graduate now in my second year of law school, a feat made possible with the extreme help afforded to me by the university and their staff.

Horrible school that only cares about getting funding from alumni and making sure the students will make them look good. The education here is extremely overpriced compared to other colleges, food here is made from a company called Sodexo who will only serve us a descent meal when we have visitors. But other then that they only serve us greasy pizza, leftovers and grilled cheese. If I were you, STAY AWAY FROM NORWICH and get a descent education somewhere else that’s not in the middle of nowhere.

why would they close the cafeteria if students are still there ? if the students did not leave yet to go home for breaks they should atleast keep the cafeteria open for a certain amount of hours just so the students can eat. should be more considerate of the kids still on campus waiting til they leave but otherwise the school jhi alright .

A truly superb school. Relevant curriculums. Accessible professors. Administration staff are easily available. Away from the campus there are every manner of outdoor activity no matter the season.

Attended a college graduation ceremony here. The indoor arena was well kept, clean, and it was obvious that people carded to keep it in good repair. The indoor racetrack was also clean and well maintained.

Excellent MBA experience! Professors are challenging and top-notch professionals in their respective fields. Lots of substantive graduate-level APA writing per week. Be prepared to easily average anywhere from writing 3500-7000 words or more per week between separate discussions and challenging individual and team assignments. Don't let the work shy you away from Norwich! After the first few weeks of your first class, I PROMISE you will get used to the hefty workload and pace. Although, I'd be remiss not to mention that despite this, you will still have time for work, decent family life, and a few key friends within reason. Time management is key. However, rest assured over the course of the entire program, the workload will make you a much stronger researcher, critical thinker, and academic writer--you will be ready to "hit the ground running" in your chosen discipline well before graduation. I believe the rigor of Norwich graduate programs will prepare you for the next level of academia--a PhD. If you're not afraid of a few bumps and bruises along the way to higher learning (it will happen), I challenge you to give Norwich graduate programs a try.

Overpriced. With the failure of their on site therapy program to refer me out to a physician, despite not making progress and actually being suicidal at a point, I'm serious, it's a miracle I didn't kill myself in hindsight. Go to University of Vermont instead, go snowshoeing with some friends, buy a rifle, you'll come out $40k ahead and probably better educated.

It's the oldest Military College in the country.

Worst online experience with a professor I have ever had. Ridiculous grading policies and really a arrogant and egotistical man.

Loved the friends I made and the training I received as a result of their Corps of Cadets, but its unbelievably overpriced (still paying it off after federal tuition assistance, etc after 5 years). Lots of professors dont show up to class semi-frequently, their curriculum is BS, or their grading is heavily influenced by their personal political leanings. If you go here on the military side, you wont have any resemblance of a normal college experience. Get ready for favoritism, bogus charges against their code of conduct, a 17 to 1 male to female ratio, and an empty wallet with little return. Having been assigned to an ROTC department previously with the Army, I can safely say their Army program is horrible by comparison. Rude & belittling staffs focused entirely on battle drills you'll never use while ignoring all the admin stuff you will be rushing to learn when you commission. Im proud of my accomplishments here, but in retrospect, I absolutely would have picked a different school.

Over-priced. They the pizza was dry and the degree seemed a little light. 1/10 would not recommend.

Great university with a lot of history and beautiful scenery! The Norwich University staff are always professional and considerate. They provided me with exxon gas cards because I was driving from Texas. Enrollment was a breeze. There's an in-depth guided tour. I was able to eat in the cafeteria with my son before the tour started. Their cafeteria is unbelievable. I didn't expect that much variety for a university.

As an international student, I did not like NU at all. If you are an international student planning to go to NU, DON'T. The international center will tell you to come multiple times for a single paper work to their office which is located across the campus. And there are not much activities and programs for us . Don't visit the website and believe all the activities they have in their website.

Great School, beautiful views. Education #1

The college provide an absurd amount of assistance to students if you simply ask around. The campus is always picturesque and the interior of the buildings, excepts dorms and barracks, are well maintained and keep a modern clean look. Dorm buildings and barracks are less maintained as students are more actively creating a mess but it never gets too bad as the janitorial staff works hard to make the facilities look presentable.

All I want is to pay what I owe and get my transcript. I got told that there was a fee, which they didn't even notified be about! They told me someone will call me back, but still haven't received any call from anyone!!! Which is very unprofessional, and I'm waiting to get placed on important class I have to take before I graduate and only 3 seats left I don't have time to be waiting for a call!!! They don't even attend this college, they are just scammers

Earned my Masters here (Cum laude). It was a great experience and the faculty is the best you’ll find. If you have the self-discipline to read, study and write on your own time (you'll have to manage this), you can succeed. It requires work, dedication and sacrifice (but all things that are worth it do). If you give 100% the school will match it with 110% or more. Everyone from the President of the University down is dedicated to your success, which is earned...not given. This school was founded in 1819 so it's been something right for this many years. Commit yourself to this school, you won't regret it.

It was the worst choice of my life to attend Norwich University. Administrators don't pay attention to students when they tell them they need help (either due to problems with other cadets or needing help for anxiety/depression). "Ignore and move on" should be the school's motto. I have had to live with the awful memories of my experience there for years. I would never recommend anyone to consider applying to Norwich. Please reconsider attending or sending your children to this institution- they put on a good show, but it's awful in the long run.

Fearless

Education counselers lack knowledge of proper degree paths, are late on reporting to students of any interuptions in schedule or over book for classes only to force students to drop them due to no room, unwilling to work with students on problems that arise with scheduling. Lack of integrity when it comes to the universities education counselers if they mess up, will lie to you to pay for the next semester then tell you any problems that arise and or you have been dropped from the degree path and refuse a refund. Even tho you only spent two weeks in he semester. Professiors late or don't show up to class without warning. These are the reports submitted to myself on behalf of the student body. If you choose this university be cautious.
