This review is for the TRIO program. I joined this program for help in being more prepared for transferring schools. Went to all the meetings I could, during summer 2018, I tried to get into contact with TRIO about a campus tour, with no luck. I emailed two different people twice. They have completely abandoned me and don’t email or call anymore.

This review is specifically intended for the SLCC bookstore. I have never encountered such a damagingly high degree of what can only be described as utter incompetence as in my experiences at the SLCC bookstore. Upon further investigation I have learned that the majority of employees are hired on a temporary basis for only one semester. Employees are completely lacking in basic information necessary to do their jobs. My experience receiving incorrect materials from the SLCC book store caused me substantial financial hardship. As has been my experience throughout my matriculation at SLCC, whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.

The academic advising and financial aid offices are terrible. They do not want you to succeed or get your degree. They are so arrogant, they cannot believe that they are wrong when they make a mistake.

Salt Lake community college has gone down the dumps. They have bought into Pearson and no longer care about the education and the main focus is money. This school sets you up to fail.
