I disagree with the bashing reviews. Rutgers is prestigious, even the Camden campus. No, it is not Princeton, but then again the tuition costs about 10 times less. Besides, a degree is a degree.

A great school overall in faculty, campus, and student community, however, provides literally the shittiest parking known to mankind. If you must commute, you pay out your ears just to park in a space 5-6 blocks away, even in the summer when the faculty lot is practically empty.

I work on Campus at the CC Library so I'm in the area quite a bit. It's very well kept and the staff security are rather friendly. I like the events they host for the community here, Camden Comic Con being one of my fave. I bring my son every year, he loves it!

The campus is quite absord. I really could not tolerate the atmosphere, however I just was there for one they and I may misjudge.

Beautiful historic campus...best view of Philadelphia and Ben Franklin Bridge. Good professors and wonderful learning environment.

I’m currently a student at Rutgers University - Camden. The environment here is pretty welcoming, and the campus is small which I personally enjoy. It’s a more personal feel when you’re here unlike some larger Universities. Almost all the professors here are here to have students succeed and are here to help. The students here are also very friendly and welcoming to new students. Every class I’ve been in I’ve had no problem meeting new people and talking to them. I’ve made some really good friends here and we always pass each other or have time between classes to hang out or enjoy lunch together.

Campus is safe, clean, and the landscapers are known as "the mulcheteers" they're so on top of mulching. Staff is as helpful as they can be,with a few digressions, but as safe, friendly, and clean, I would recommend Rutgers, particularly Camden because of the culture.

Something strange happened when I went here... I went to get a degree to get a job; instead, the place taught me how to start and run a business that generates 7-figures annually. I didn't even study business! Strange, right? I started here fresh out of the military, and wanted to be a doctor. I had no friends, so I joined a veteran group, and created a benefit run for a fallen student who was recently killed in combat (Jeremy Kane). The school actually helped us set it all up, and gave us $20k to pull it off (we needed permits and police to shut down streets in Cherry Hill). Yes, my professors and coursework was great, but people like Mary Beth Daisey and Fred Davis all helped shape me into the employer I am today. So when you go there, don't have an agenda. Instead, seek out your deepest passions, and what gives you meaning. For me, it was doing charity, which taught me I'd be pretty good at creating something and managing people. Who knew?! Yes, you can just get the degree, but if you dive into campus life, groups and activities, you can leave with a lot more than that. Oh, and the gym and library are awesome!

Rutgers Camden is a pretty small campus but it has a lot going on for how small it is. It makes people feel at home, no matter what background you come from. There’s a variety of culture on this campus, and it’s a lively campus. Students and faculty are both very friendly and willing to help if you ask, we’re all here to help each other! College is tough, but at Rutgers everyone is here to make sure you succeed and become the best person you possibly can be.

I am a current freshman who lives on campus. Rutgers camden is a great school with pretty good teachers and staff and it's very diverse. However, the Camden Towers housing building is a different story. The towers building is the dorm for first year students. It is dark and depressing. The temperature is also is very hot; but the other two housing buildings are great. Also, campus dining is expensive

Over rated state college with an old name. Quality of the professors are nowhere near first class and are typical of the Anti-American academic. If you are looking for the college life, this is NOT the school. There is a total lack of spirit and student life resources due to it being a mostly commuter school. Even commuters are ill treated with horrendous parking. It is primarily designed for those just wanting to take classes and/or get a degree. But in that case, save your money with another less costly state college. The quality is not here. Just relies on its name, which means nothing.

Desent school, small Campus and not much options for food. Also, campus dining is pretty expensive.

Great place to get an excellent education.

I attended for one semester a long time ago and wasn't very impressed. Perhaps it was my choice of major, but the campus and extra-curriculars seemed sub-par at the time. When I was looking for an MBA program, I was absolutely horrified and appalled to have read an article that gloated over hiring a professor with just an MBA to teach graduate classes. One would think that a PhD would be the entry level requirement to teach graduate level classes - not at Rutgers!

One of the worst dinings halls, in college history. They sale no healthy food half of the employees do not know what a vegan is, so therefor they do not cater to the vegan population. This cafeteria only sales fried greasy foods, that are sure to cause health problems in a matter of months. Would not recommend this place to anyone. Yes, I am a current student.

Low-key one of the best universities in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area! The biggest selling point is the amazing faculty. Faculty at Rutgers-Camden are held to the exact same hiring, tenure, promotion, and research standards as the faculty at the many-times-larger Rutgers-New Brunswick, so they are truly top of the line. Unlike almost any other state school, the faculty at Rutgers-Camden only teach 2 courses per semester (rather than 3 or 4), and thus they have enough time to do cutting edge research and are expected to, but they also have more time to interact with students. The campus is also surprisingly peaceful and beautiful and gives you the feel of a small, elite liberal arts college. This is kind of the best of all worlds - a small, intimate campus with small class sizes and lots of interaction with professors plus the cutting edge research and training of a large research university. And all just a 5 minute train ride from downtown Philly!
