Been going to the University since '09 and I'm still glad I chose to come here. Great attitude with Students and Professor, but some of the administration personal is rude. But over all I'm pleased with the Campus.

I am a KU alumnus, BS micro/molecular/cell biology with a minor in biochemistry. I declared as a secondary education social studies major, but found the education department lacking. I am very glad that I pursued biology, as I was able to graduate on time, despite a very heavy schedule. The KU chemistry, biology and physics departments are wonderful, and most faculty are full PhD professors. I miss Boehm, as I no longer have such easy ability to speak with the brilliant professors. If you have to deal with administration or parking, good luck.

Good public university in Pennsylvania. Campus is located in a nice small town in rural and scenic Berks County, far enough from home in the Philadelphia area but close enough I can go back every so often. Decent sized campus but not too large and bewildering. Professors and many of the students are very nice. Residence halls are good depending on which one you are in, Dixon Hall is really nice, new building with single suite rooms available if you really need one. Dining services was somewhat subpar, but there are plenty of nice places to eat in town if you get sick of the dining halls.

I transferred into KU, and it was one of the best decisions of my life. I absolutely love the atmosphere of the campus. The professors are very knowledgable, and approachable. They are always willing to help, and available when needed. I couldn't have asked for a better college experience. KU will always have a special place in my heart

I enjoyed my time here; the professors obviously care about the student's goals, for their current class as well as their future

Honestly probably the worst university in Pennsylvania I didn't want to send my daughter there at all with their high std rates and every other week it seems as if she gets an email from the campus alerting her of a sexual assault or other violent crimes. She lived in a dorm where one of the CA's sexually assuaged one of the residence. If those are the types of people they let become a CA you can see why I'm not a big fan of the school. Her education was very limited. Her first semester of her freshman year she was given a schedule of a part time student and we we're unaware until second semester. Kutztown made her schedule and cheated her out of credits. Also it always smells like cow poop. There's nothing around for miles. The housing office aswell as the office of surdent accounts are sloppy and unhelpful. Don't send your child to this place.

Over 20 years later, only positive undergrad memories and solid studies received from KU for less than 25K with both Criminal Justice/Psychology concentrations, making for an easy transition to Masters in Counseling.

Great place. You'll have a great time here. The only problem I have is the university is a filled with leftist garbage and a giant tv screen that projects the image of Mark Zuckerberg in front of their art building flashing 24/7. That's pretty creepy/disturbing. This is an issue that should be addressed. School only seemed focused on their art and music majors too which is disappointing if you want to stay in business for the long term. Education majors got shunned which is the schools bread and butter.

This school is only good for Education majors and commuters. Some of the teachers I had in elementary school went here and they were awesome so I can validate that.

GREAT UNIVERSITY FOR SMALL TOWN FOLK!!!! This place lets you grow as an individual with a lot of perks I appreciate. Locals are so friendly to students. There is delicious food with plently of vegan and vegetarian options AROUND. BEAUTIFUL flowers are planted throughout the campus. Professors get to know their students. I had the most wonderful professors in my core class of history of graphic design who dressed up as a different historical artist each class. I am not very religious but there is a church right next to campus that gives away free pretzels and does not discriminate. Also there are beautiful mushrooms growing in the C parking lots by the dorms. Sometimes the police officers are not the most friendly, but I met the most friendly security guard and had a very pleasant conversation with him. His name is Scott. Great guy. Has a chicken named Gloria. They have a convenient store on campus that opens at noon and closes at midnight which is very convenient when you need something. Graduation was very convenient for my family to attend. They offered a shuttle which took you to where the Sarah Moni was in a field house. Only thing that concerns me is I graduated in May and now is almost July and I haven’t received my diploma yet. Oh well at least I got a job! In the communication design major everything is tight knit and critiques are beneficial if you thrive in them. EYE Love Kutztown!!!!!!

i got my admission in ku for fall 2016 and i wanted to pursue my masters from ku, but the international admission office took too much of time to issue my i-20. so i had to select some other university for masters.

Son goes there and loves it.

Poor teaching methods, teachers went on strike for two days, and then expects us to catch up on the work thee missed not the students, other then the professors most of them, it is a fantastic college housing is close enough to walk, pretty area, and stores close enough if you don't drive!

Jessica Kline

wow, I hope it is not a sign of things to come but the admissions staff was not very helpful and the secretary was downright rude. The financial aid representative was also not very helpful. It is a shame that this University has staff with such poor people skills since overall it seems like a good school.

I attended the university for two and half years. The university is millions of dollars in debt. The older buildings are a health hazard. Slowly turning into a ghetto. Also, it is an uber-leftist university. Invest your money somewhere else. Thank me for it later.

I graduated from this school with a degree in psychology in 2012 and I am currently studying to get my information technology degree. When I was originally studying psychology, I transferred in from Penn State main. This school is a mixed bag. Let's get one thing straight: it is in the middle of nowhere and the social atmosphere sucks. When I transferred in several years back, I absolutely hated it and was very depressed for a long time. It is NOT a party school. Even to this day I still don't like it but I'm just there for the education. A large portion of the student body does commute to campus from their parents house. The cost of going here is about half of what you would pay to attend PSU, temple, or Pitt. The whole area is very Pennsyl-tucky and outdated. The school does have major funding issues and us students got a few days off of school when the professors went on strike. The school has strong programs in teaching, art, and computer science/IT. We do get an email every few weeks during the semester that an alleged rape or robbery took place, but this is a far cry from what other schools deal with. The school is definitely more female oriented and socially liberal. All of the bathrooms, even for us guys, have monthly feminist posters that get put up. If you don't believe me come see it with your own eyes.

Really nice campus! Dorms not too bad for freshman if you can get past community bathrooms, and no AC! I loved it there, but it was my second pick school, and decided to commit elsewhere for now.

To apply for general education courses, then its easy. But for any specific major good luck trying to get in. The administration personnel, especially the head department woman from the New Media department has an attitude going on. I talked to her twice, two months apart, and she just always seemed to be annoyed that you called her for any specific questions. The admissions people seemed not to have a clue what was going on either. For a school that is rated as a 68% acceptance rate, they don't do a fine job telling you the exact requirements in how to get accepted, especially for art students. Don't bother asking them why you didnt get accepted because they'll just give you an attitude about it..
