I spent 5 years of my life at FSU and I don't regret a single thing. Is it perfect? No. Do it have it's problems? Yes. Is the financial aid building a pain in the butt? Heck yes. But what school don't have these same problems? College is what you make. I join multiple organizations, I was a cheerleader, in SGA, modeling clubs and I studied theatre. My professors in my department prepared me for where I am today as a artist. FSU taught me about life, culture, and so much more.

Great school! Its all about "u" at FSU! My daughter graduated from there and was well prepared for her career. I'm so proud to be a parent of an FSU graduate! I recommend this school to all upcoming students regardless of the color of their skin because FSU is the best!!

The instructors are lazy and stupid. The girls here are extremely easy and they all have kids. Crime is rampant and its hard to learn anything here. The classes are all dumbed down so the idiots can pass. I am going to change schools so that I can learn something and not have the distractions. Last week a girl was raped while she walked across the railroad that goes through the middle of the campus.

I had a wonderful experience here. I transferred from a larger institution and am so glad I did. The classes were small, the campus is not unnecessarily spread out, the instructors desired to see students succeed, I was exposed to a lot of STEM research opportunities, and my college experience was like no other.

I am from Greenville, NC and I attended the "The Annual MLK Day Concert. I attended the MLK about 5 years ago and it was great. I drove 2 hours to attend this year and this time it was horrible. The last time I attended , they had great black speakers and great music. It was packed with our younger blacks and older as well and the black culture was there. Our young blacks kids need to understand what this man has done for America. We should never try to change who we are as people. It is not about whites when it comes to black culture and we should never have to please anyone. We should always be proud who we are. When I walked in and half of the people was old whites and a few of older blacks, I knew it was going to be a long night. It was only about 50 people there. You really missed the boat . It was the worst I have ever seen. It's Ok for whites to attend but not change the format about who we are as people. I attended the school in 1973 and it was the greatest experience . I walked out within 30 minutes and drove home .

I came in as a transfer student and am in my final year of my bachelors degree. To be honest, most of the instructors are fine. Do I like the college? It's okay, but the staff can be very rude and that may be because I am not African American, like some others note (keep in mind though, there's quite a lot of White, Asian, and Hispanic professors though.) I just really feel like I am bothering someone in their office when I ask questions, which is odd because that's their jobs. My advice, go elsewhere. I am just here til I graduate but I can tell you, there's no way I'd come to this college again.

Dr. Mongkuo is a fat sloppy wet stain on this school. The staff is poor quality and could careless about student concerns. If you can go elsewhere GO! RUN!

I'm in the early college and I would never choose to stay here for the rest of my education because I know I deserve better and there definitely is better out there than Fayetteville state.

I chose Fayetteville State because I wanted to be a teacher. I am from Rocky Mount, NC and the teachers and Principals who were thought of as the best in the city and the surrounding area had attended Fayetteville State. I am retired now and I have never regretted my choice. i am thankful for all that my Alma Mater has done for me.

I attended Fayetteville State University 3 times in total, the first 2 times I had to drop out because of personal issues, but I completed in 2007 with a BA in History. I absolutely love my school (Bronco Pride!) As for those persons who had negative reviews of the school, you should understand that your experience was YOURS and NOT a reflection on the school as a whole. I was taught if you have nothing good to say keep it to your self. If you are looking for a good quality education on a campus that really cares about its students, put FSU on your short list. As I learned in the Sand hills region of NC (Fayetteville) Come on Down we'll have ya!

Fayetteville State University provides poor quality education. Campus is dirty. Shooting and rape appear often. Sports facilities and swimming pool are not open to students, except for athletes or outside paid groups. Staff are extremely bureaucratic. Don't expect to get things done quickly and correctly. IT support is extremely poor. Administrators do no bother to help you. You may find some good faculty occasionally, but they are heavily constrained by the poor bureaucracy of this school. Faculty who give good grades just try to please administrators who don't want too many Ds and Fs. They don't teach the knowledge you really need. If you really want to learn something useful for your career, stay away from this school.

If you go into Psychology or maybe something with science good choice. If you go into Education may God help you! I have never seen such a unorganized department who does not care for the students well being! Do not come here to become an Educator. Horrible experiences with multiple instructor's and the department period. They are very discouraging and need a complete upgrade. I also feel they make it extremely difficult to graduate from this school period.

I love it at FSU. The class sizes are small and the teachers really care if you put the effort forth. I am double majoring in Psychology and Theater and all of my professors have really helped me as personal career counselors. The university also provides multiple opportunities to get out of the classroom experience. The social life is also great. SGA and the Student Activities Council are always hosting events for the campus. I love it at FSU and would recommend it to anyone interested.

Because they are in the military town, a lot of military personnels are attending this school. However, some of the class schedules are not that military friendly like Campbell University does. Overall, still good school though.

Fayetteville State is an unique school with its own culture and way of doing things. You’ll read different reviews with mixed feelings about this school but what you have to realize that not everyone’s college experience is the same. You could’ve have a bad time while the person beside could’ve had the best time of their life. Ok that’s just called life. You just gotta suck some things up instead of complain and mumble all your life. This is my third year and I can say that I’ve had my ups and downs while attending this school but like one review had said “the life experiences that I got from the school are pricesless.” I didn’t plan on going to FSU at all but now that I’m here I can say that I will never regret that decision. Don’t just listen and read to what other people have to say, go see for yourself.

I'm a veteran using my GI Bill, (only relevant for the perspective of fellow vets) anyway, the professors are amazing, they really want their students to succeed and will make themselves available to you, they are very understanding, and the way they teach is easy for their students to grasp information. Keep in mind, this is for serious students who show up everyday and act like they in turn want to learn. I've had a great experience my first semester here as far as my courses are concerned. The cafeteria food is good too. Onto the cons: the traffic enforcement ("police") suck. I took a class at the time of day when the parking lots are for the most part vacant, and I received a ticket for parking in the staff section EVEN THOUGH it was an accident (I didn't see the sign) but also that I was literally just ONE parking spot over from the commuting students. Sheesh. Also, the staff do put holds on your account for a lot of little things, I don't get a rude vibe from the staff but they aren't very helpful at resolving your problems, at the very least slow to solve them.

I've never in my life been around officers who treat others with such disrespect at football games. To begin with the woman at the gate would not even give the little girl with chicken nuggets an explanation as to why she was being forced to throw them away. Then, as a bystander, I witnessed an officer ask a woman with marks on her legs; "what happened to yo legs girl?". That comment clearly made the woman insecure since she said "I know, they look awful.". Also, it cost $3 for popcorn and $5 for nachos which is slightly outrageous. If there was an option for 0 stars that's what I would give this place.

At Fayetteville State University, I received three degrees including two graduate degrees. I have several mentors and received a valuable education. However, the support staff leaves something to greatly be desired. I have been hung up on several times, no answers to the phones, no replies to e-mails. Then, they blame me for not continuously calling back to get a hold of someone. The customer service level is horrendous and they really do not care about the students or their needs. They are incredibly disrespectful and sadly makes me feel unappreciated as a student. I wish the students and faculty the best of luck as they try to overcome the lack of service and poor support from their "support" staff. Their condescending and lack of compassion are heard loud and clear every time you call or e-mail. If you want a quality education and great faculty, you will find it here, but I pray you never have to work with the support staff especially in the Bursar's Office.

Worst school ever! Do not send your child here unless it's the last thing you have left to do. I attended here for one year and said NEVER AGAIN! For one the admissions process is horrific with fees for EVERYTHING! Secondly the financial aid ladies are rude and incompetent. Thirdly the dorms are old as hell and students deserve better! I wouldn't let my worst enemy stay there. The dorms always have problems with air conditioning and the wifi is a joke. Fourth the maintenance people who come to your dorm to clean DONT CLEAN!!!! They spray some stuff and lift the toilet seat up and walk out. And you saw that I didn't type wipe anything down so it stays dirty! Fifth the cafeteria people have attitudes and act like they can't do anything when they work for the students NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND!!!! There's one guy named johnny that works there who is a manager and he locked me inside of a gate in the grill and nothing was done about it. He was rude and disrespectful then denied it because he's not man enough to admit when he's wrong. Sixth! The police here are good for nothing because if something was to happen the head chief will laugh and say well what did you do to MANY OF THE WOMEN THAT HAVE BEEN SEXUALLY ASSAULTED HERE AND ONCE AGAIN NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE!!! I will never come back and honestly I'm glad! They are terrible and don't waste your time and money.
