Horrible accounting/finance system. Takes them several months to get a payment out. Staff is also pretty incompetent and unhelpful

A nice college campus to go to because it's almost like an oasis in the relative cesspool that is Newark, NJ. While it gives off an historic feel it is obvious that the place is very old and has not been properly renovated in a long time. I guess Rutgers as a whole does not share the money equally between the campuses because I've been to the New Brunswick campus and it's far and away more modern than Newark. That said there's lots of stuff to do on campus besides go to class. Security is always an issue but between the guard and RUPD the place is relatively safe. There have been a few incidents but in all this is safer place in Newark.

I am a student here. There is nothing to do here unless there is an event going on and that happens rarely.

Huge cheating rings going on here with staff knowingly not doing anything about it. Go somewhere else if you can. In addition, I sought out help with finding a job after I graduated, and they never replied back to my emails. Only pros I can think of are cost of attending and diversity of students.

If you can go to another school, the financial aide department is a joke. Nothing to do on campus, luckily New York is near. Also Trains out of town completely are only bonuses. They are a money hungry school they do not care about the students. I did like a few of my professors and met a pretty cool Dean there. Over all experience and after taste just bad. For your own sake pick another school unless you are just there for sports or business.

I have been waiting since 12 o'clock for a phone conference with an enrollment coach, which was not my choice and was a requirement of the program. It is now after 12:30 and I have yet to receive a phone call. I guess no one else's time is important but theirs. Funny how many times they called and bugged me until I committed to the University. Throughout the whole application process, I have spoken and dealt with incompetent enrollment advisors who have given the wrong information and had me send my transcript to the wrong place twice. Now they can't even follow through on a phone conference which they scheduled and I received three confirmation emails for. It is so frustrating I do not even want to attend Rutgers anymore. For over $3000 a course, they should have their stuff together more! They also do not offer a delayed payment program for students whose employers reimburse them at the end of the semester. When I inquired about this with student aide, I spoke with a nasty female who said I "would just have to pay up front like everybody else"! FDU treats government employees much better and is about half the price!
