Every school has issues, but there are plenty of people there who care enough to make sure students are taken care of. The truth is, any college is going to be expensive. Midland students usually get plenty of financial aid to make tution possible.

It's ok. Way overpriced. The arts is a great area and everyone in the parts feels like a family but when it comes to the school it's self, it is not taken care of. The dorms are junky and WAY outdated. The classrooms look like they have been started but never seem to be finished with unpainted walls. The arts building and Fremont hall look like they were built in 1940 and never touched since. The CAF was updated but the food is terrible. The school pays more on advertising than it does on making the students comfortable in their own living situations. Overall the people are good but the school it's self is not worth the $35,000. I only go because I save $8000 not living on campus. And I recieved many outside scholarships.

Would not recommend really rude people

You can get services of the same quality, even better, at a college half the price. Ammenities are also quite outdated.

TERRIBLE PLACE! People who have been in the dorms tell about how they are in dis-repair. Also, cafeteria food is the worst I have ever experienced. The staff could care less about you. You are just a number at this college. Dont make the mistake I did --->DONT GO HERE!!!! <-------

School will take your money no matter how big of scholarship! Terrible food I sometimes went days without eating because it was slop. Campus very boring. Main thing was they will charge you for anything I paid off my balance and still am getting hit with fees. Was not a good expierence wouldn't wish on my worst enemy! I went to this school 2016-2017 school is bad bad bad! School was so bad try made me do my first google review! Also wouldn't recommend this school for minorities heavy racism and white privilege. Living Hell. Attending Midland was one of the worst experiences of my life. I have only been attending the school for almost a semester and I can tell you that I wouldn't wish this place on anyone. There are too many cons to write about so I will focus on the major ones. Firstly, if you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle, forget about it at Midland. The caff has the worst quality of food I have ever experienced. The caff workers are rude and dampen your mood. My dorm room has gashes in the walls and is in a general state of disrepair. I haven't had a stable connection to the wifi in my entire time being here. The quality of this school amounts to a community college. If it were 4k a year, then it might be worth the quality you'll receive here, but instead it's 35k. On top of that, you will have to pay for the damages that the neighbors on your flood committed. If you are considering going here for athletics, I would advise against it. The coaching staff here is awful. I came for soccer, there are many players who feel degraded and have lost their love for the game. My friends on the other sports teams have only negative things to say about their respective coaching staffs. Most of the classes I have taken seemed pointless. DO NOT LET THEM PULL YOU IN. Going to Midland was the worst decision of my life. It set has been a great waste of money and has set me back. I cannot even explain how horrible it is as Midland. There are many many more cons to write about, but I don't have the time. Learn from my mistake... DON'T GO TO MIDLAND!

If I wanted to write a book about everything bad at Midland I definitely could. But I am going to keep it short and to the point. Midland is a very large waste of time and money. First off, 36,000 or whatever it is, is a complete joke of a price for a place with such bad quality amenities, the dorms are horrible quality with paint chips all over and stains on the floors, no A/C in some of the dorms and you cant even control the heat. The bathrooms are horrid along with the food. In the student center the pool tables are not even able to be played on because of the one broken pool stick and the half set of pool balls. If you are paying so much money you would at least think they could afford new pool tables. In high school I was always a 3.5 student or above, here at midland my GPA was just under 3.0, I had one professor that I actually enjoyed and learned from, the others didnt know how to teach a class. My chemistry professor didnt even have a degree in Chemistry. For one of our exams the highest score in the class was a 60 out of 100. Dont get me wrong, some of the people at midland are amazing and I have made many friends I will stay in contact with for a very long time, but I have wasted over $15,000 for a semester of college. To me it seems as though they care more about their money rather than the student. If someone breaks something on your floor everyone has to pay for it (my "PAD" charge for the first semester exceeded $40) i'm a student in college, how do they expect me to have that paid off so I can get my transcripts sent? The food is horrible, the workers in the cafe are extremely rude, and you cant even get your own food, you have it served to you like you are still in high school. The cafe is only open until 7:00 PM everyday and on the weekends its only open until 5 PM! If you are an athlete and have practice until 10 PM like we did for baseball, you have to go out and spend your own money on food because almost every night we were missing dinner for practice.

Wouldn't suggest this school to anyone. Not very formal, nor do they take pride in their students. Horrible campus view and the surrounding areas have little to nothing to occupy your time if you are bored. The campus is trying to make a quick buck.

I called their mainline to ask what department is online learning belong to. They transfer me to Sarah Igel Coordinator of Academic Affairs. I ask her to about online learning and she hung up the phone. So RUDE!! It is an international call and I don't have much credit to call back again.

Growing up on the east coast it was difficult for me to find a school that felt like home on the other side of the Mississippi. That was, of course, until I found and visited Midland University. Upon arriving at the campus, I was in shock. Growing up in a region much different than Nebraska I was in awe of the gorgeous and picturesque scenery. Midland brought to mind the sentiments I felt going upstate with my family as a child. It's truly a "little big school." I felt a sense of security in an area of the country where I knew no one. The dance program was welcoming, talented, and motivated. Such expressive coaches who always had the team's best interest at the forefront of their mind. Choreographers were brought in and we always had the chance to give back to the community with clinics for the younger generation. The opportunities during intersession were incredible. I had a friend who went diving as part of her marine ecology class in Mexico. There is always something going on at school. I was more of a cheerleader when it came to the slam-dunk contest but, it was hysterical to watch. Thank you to Midland and the staff for the opportunity to be myself far away from home... Actually, thank you Midland for being my home away from home!

Pay Back

This school is not worth the amount of money they charge. It's a private or was a private institution that leaves you in over 33k in dept. I would not suggest this school to anyone because the whole entire school and dorms are run down. There isn't anything nice to see or do except look at corn fields. Athletes be weary because you will probably end up being screwed over in the financial aid office, Athlete speaking from experience. The only formal thing about this place is the kitchen staff and even they don't have the opportunity to cook descent meals half the time because all of the schools funding is going into someones pocket somewhere. Sorry but this is the sad reality of this school.

My son attends Midland and is in his Junior. I have nothing but good thing to say, the faculty and campus is wonderful. My son has really enjoyed his experience there! Best decision we have ever made for our sons education.

For their Welcome Week, ALL of their events are not only mandatory, but your grade depends on going to them. No one with logic as absurd as the people at Midland University should have that kind of power. Absolutely pathetic.

Jessica Sanchez

My son is far across the Pacific Ocean and USA Country at Midland. The people (From office staff, teachers, coaches, bank manager, super market clerks are kind Midwest country loving people. What you are reading for those students who say don't go here is a silver spoon, cry baby don't want to go class brats. Yes this school makes sure they attend class and graduate. My son is now a Teacher and yes he actually passed his national tests...unlike others who come out of big universities...so yes...great school.
