A true piece of art. Harry Potter was almost filmed here due to the castle and stone based construction. There is also a grassy courtyard with a rather large tree that is surrounded by stone on all sides except for the roughly 12 feet wide entrance.

This is one of the coolest buildings on campus. The school really does have a Hogwarts like feel. The ceilings are vaulted, chandeliers decorate much of the building, and there's a small courtyard in the middle with trees and greenery. The building is also tall and it looks like a caste with high towers and cool architecture. One of the other cool things about the building is that it also has a touch of modern--there's a glass bridge/walkway connecting two parts of the building. The rooms themselves are big and spacious, with plenty of seating. The building also has unisex bathrooms and neat, spiraling staircases that give it even more of that castle feel.

My favorite hang out. Spend all my nerdy book time here and expand my horizons. The library has such an amazing energy. Totally my place of peace and tranquility aside from the outdoors. The builders knew exactly what they were doing.

The beautiful English Gothic style architecture makes this both a serene study spot and a tourist destination (most my out-of-town friends say it reminds them of Hogwarts). While it is usually packed, the place is incredibly quiet. Wifi is available for all UofM students, but some seating areas are reserved for law students only. I frequently see this on lists of most beautiful libraries in the country, and it is obvious why. I would recommend this place as a stand-alone destination if you appreciate beautoful architecture or gorgeous libraries.
