I graduated from Salem State in 2015 and had a great experience. The campus has a unique vibe and I always felt comfortable there. I learned a lot in my business classes, met great people, and most of my professors were wonderful. Financial aid and navigator need a different set up, but that's about it. If you apply yourself, you'll do great here!

I loved most of my professors, the small classes, etc. I had a good experience with the college/classes. The school administration, financial aid, or anything from the "navigator center" is not helpful and doesn't care about giving students the best price, or about graduating them. Do everything yourself and you'll be alright.

Was a guest lecturer and was made to feel at home by most of the staff and faculty. However, their campus police were a major disappointment and very much a power trip on their part.

I had a wonderful experience during my years at Salem! Professors were bright, enthusiastic, and imparted their knowledge in a style which resulted in valuable tools to use throughout my career. Of most value to me were my courses in law, economics, and psychology.

Set up is horrible. Was told to stop by and it'll be a "quick" ordeal. Less than 5 minutes.. Almost didn't pick my son up FIRST because I was told it would be quick.. Then told 10-15 minutes.. Waiting well over an hour just to drop off a piece of paper...

Loved the experience. Got my undergrad in 2.5 years instead of 4. Spent around $ 10000 total from my pocket and got well paying job right out of university. The best return on investment in my life. Thanks Salem State.

COMMUTER PARKING TICKET $125 - I AM SHOCKED HOW MUCH THESE STATE SCHOOL EXPLOIT THEIR STUDENTS. COST OF EDUCATION - INCREASED TEXTBOOK CARTEL - 200% UP STUDENT LOANS INTEREST - UP now the also almost TRIPLED the cost of the commuter parking stickers to $125!!!!!! What are you thinking? WE ARE STUDENTS NOT BILLIONAIRES! DO NOT STUDY AT THIS SCHOOL!!!!! YOU ARE BETTER OFF AT A MORE PRESTIGIOUS SCHOOL IN BOSTON WHERE YOU WILL PAY JUST AS MUCH!

I attended Salem State University for both my Undergraduate and Graduate work. I had a WONDERFUL experience. If you apply yourself and become involved in the University community, you can thrive. Faculty are friendly/supportive and are always willing to help those who ask for it. The campus is ever growing and programs are always evolving to fit the demands of the students. If you can afford to, take at least 5-6 courses each semester...You'll finish your degree faster.

You can get a great education here--the faculty are dedicated and there's lot of great opportunities. However, the price continues to skyrocket from when I went here. Do two years first at a community college and save yourself $10000s.

It's a good 4 year university for commuters and fairly cheap compared to other 4 year universities around the Boston area. I am going into my 4th year now at Salem State and I can say if you don't have a morning class you better leave early for parking because there's simply not enough.
