Military Students Beware! They don't protect classes from purge even though you are a VA student, and good luck getting back into classes that can fit a commute schedule from Barksdale! They do not have a variety of schedule times. Too many students, too few classes.

One of the best kept secrets in the South. Excellent Engineering school. Close enough to New Orleans to spend weekends on Gulf of Mexico or hunting and fishing in Arkansas. Drive to Shreveport for fun. Small town advantages of Ruston Louisiana.

Louisiana Tech is a wonderful university. It has an exceptional faculty, talented students and magnificent staffs. The campus itself is big and beautiful, with greenery everywhere. The student body is diverse and there are lot of opportunities to learn from people of various cultures. I would say it is top 5 public university in the country, where there are endless extraordinary opportunities.

Great School...Great value for the money and you actually get to know your professors. OK, the town is beyond ultra conservative, and more like something out of the 1950's....but they have beer and women, what else do you need?

Mr Allen, the night shift officer was so extra great even though he was busy with a flat tire he took time to show me my way back to my home.. Thanks, was almost in tears, so afraid to ask for help but you made it easy and helped me feel soo safe... thanks again..Misty G.

Its is a pretty good school. And for a public university, it provides quality teaching and essential comfortable environment for learning. Having said that, I disagree with an earlier post that it would be a "top 5 school in country". Its a good university with strong background in teaching quality. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. It is no where near being an elite institution. It manages to occasionally be in the top 100 of schools in the U.S. so it has decent quality, but that's all. Their are other institutions that have better stats and better programs. For the record. I do go to Louisiana Tech. Im proud to be a student here. But I am also a realist

A bunch of liars or bought reviews of this school. It's not good. Over priced and the education quality is lacking. The quarter system is too face. The students are uneducated morons. The campus is decent looking. Go here only if you fit the mold of the people attending.

Don't be fooled by the 4 and 5 stars. This is not a good school. Lousy, racist, uneducated staff and students. If you are not white, you will be treated horribly here. Idiots don't know anything but how to party and do meager task to pass a test. Sorry Tech University. You lost my respect. Your student and community makeup is far to racist and religious and conservative for me.
