Fire everyone that works in the Financial aid department!!!!! Send confidential information to the email address they provide, and they lose it!!!! Quick to send you a bill, but can’t get your financial aid together...... BULL*#IT!!!!!

My advice for JCTC is that it gets it's information together. I had two different advisors, my student self-service, and even a teacher tell me that one of my classes was two completely different credit hours (it was NOT my teacher's fault because it's his class and he knows what he's talking about). That's unprofessional and frustrating, especially when you need a specific amount of lab credit hours to qualify for med school.

Do not go here, I have had nothing but issues with this school since I transferred to finish my gen eds before I head back to Uni. I am in the middle of a transfer process and it has been nothing but a nightmare. Everything is a joke, I have had anfew great professors here but the rest were not good at all. Save your time and money.

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL. I have been dealing with this school for 3 years & I am not going back. Each semester is a headache, no one knows what is going on, it's like pulling teeth to get enrolled. The financial aid is a joke, the whole school is a joke. Save your time, energy and frustration by not going here. I was so excited when I first enrolled, this school has demotivated me. I will not be back, I am trying to transfer, & yes, you guessed it, IS LIKE PULLING TEETH.

Just graduated with my RN degree from JCC so now i can give an honest review of the program. #1 Financial Aid is a joke, you’re going to battle for your loans, Pell grants or anything else every semester. The RN program is broke into 4 semesters and you will have good and bad teachers depending on your needs but I am honestly here to tell you 4th semester they do not care about helping and do little to help you with your nclex. I have seen students who were facing court for jury duty, cancer scares, flu and other issues and the program was basically deal with it or go away. I even had a teacher make religious and political agendas in class to our group, even going as far as making anti sexual orientation comments. When I reported it no one said a word to me or seemed to care. Your not allowed to give your opinion on any social media or they threaten to kick you out and you have to sign a contract acknowledging this. This program has serious issues with long standing teachers who have been there for some time and walk to the path of their own beat in a bad way. Look at any other option you before going this way. Its poorly managed and run and not welcoming to diversity.

Teaching staff has been great, but the office staff creates new problems & hurdles every semester. They took my money, then tell me they have no record of the charge and I have to dispute it with my bank.

If i could give zero stars I would. This place is terrible, no one knows what they are doing from the works at the campus to the representatives on the phone. They take 2-3 days to reply to an email, (as if they are a state school

I went there for a couple semesters. Had great teachers. Great community college to get your degree or save money by completing some of the classes you need at a university.

Having two girls go thru the nursing program and hearing how difficult the teaching staff is for working people, nonflexibility for personal emergencies, and a lack of communication between class teaching facilitators I am concerned that this school is not putting student needs first. As this is a paid for educational service that often leaves these kids in debt it would seem that their customer service is very lacking. Some of the issues that I am hearing students are dealing with fail to consider these students are human beings and not just a name on a roster. As an educator I expect better from a high learning institute and am seriously concerned about the quality of learning that is being given.

No-one answers the phone. I'm on hold as we speak, going on 35 minutes and counting.

I got called a bulls****** by the staff and a liar. They are rude and it's unprofessional.

Having all elements of contact being automated or digital is not the appropriate way to handle something like education. You do not get the appropriate assistance because you RARELY interact with another human. It makes doing tasks extremely difficult.

The college is great, but the police need to patrol that area better. There are homeless men on the sidewalks, with knives, threatening people up and down the sidewalk in front of the college. The gas station across from the college is even more dangerous. Don't pump your gas there.

margie king

Piss poor of a tech school. Drop class and still have a charge that they don't tell you about. Try to set up payment arrangement but bill have to be paid in full before you can get a copy of transcript. So they stop you from succeeding at a REAL University by giving you your transcript. I was told no other guve you a transcript unless they are paid. Wrong answer....I have my transcript and bill is NOT paid in full from University. So rep needs to have correct informatiin before saying wrong answer. Call over phone get one answer then when you go there to that school you get different answer.

Advisors are terrible and cant tell you what you need. They don't care about you and you are just a dollar sign to them. Worthless fluffed classes but most colleges are that way. UK should pull their funding.

Jasmine Carter

The people at both the southwest and downtown campuses are unprofessional and down right rude! I would advise dealing with another school in Louisville because they people do not care about helping you further your education!

I love my school and I enjoy studying there! Thanks all the facilities,,,,,,,,,

I love this place. I'm getting my associates degree at the cheapest price possible. One of the smartest things I've ever done. A great place to work and work on your future.

Will screw up your paperwork, fail to give you federal aid when you should receive it, scare you into dropping out, and then blame you and make you pay for classes you never got to attend because you withdrew after their arbitrary date. Scummy school just like you’d expect. This is coming from a university graduate in engineering. I don’t joke around; this school is garbage.

Good morning, I waited for 30 minutes for someone to pick up the phone and I was finally greeted by a woman named Kelly. She never answered in a pleasant voice, definitely wasn't happy about having the privilege of working in an office environment setting. Please, keep your negative attitude at home at all times. And when I asked her if, the school's location (109 Broadway) offered phlebotomy classes, she kept saying "what, what, what?" I just hung up the phone. I never wanted to give this review a 1 star, I couldn't post without it. Thank you and have a Happy New Year .

DO NOT GO TO THIS SCHOOL! Please save yourself the trouble, and the money and do yourself a favor and not come to this school. This school has the most UNORGANIZED, UNPROFESSIONAL, and LAZY staff I have ever dealt with. The financial aid office is a joke. The staff working in that office are the most lazy, and incompetent people. They never tell you the right thing, nor do they ever want to help you. They have an attitude 100% of the time, as if you’re bothering them, when this is their job. You would be much better off talking to a wall, and I truly mean that. They messed up my sons financial aid documents several times, never did they own up to it or fix it. You will wait days to hear back from anyone but as soon as you miss a payment they’ll call you 40x a day. The bursars office is the next big joke. Nobody knows what their talking about, and half of them are too lazy to even bother to help with any issue you may have. They’ll just send you to the next person, who will send you to the next person, and so on. Amanda Tindall especially. I don’t know of anyone in her position who has gotten away with being so rude to students/parents and being a complete liar. If anyone higher up at JCTC reads this, I suggest you monitor her communication more because clearly she’s been getting away with being unprofessional for too long. This school was a waste of money. They don’t care about you succeeding as a student nor do they care about their students, period. Pretty much, as a new a student here one staff member will tell you one thing, the next will tell you something different, until they screw you over and none of them want to help you fix the mess they made, nor will they ever take ownership. Bunch of liars. These are students who many have never been to college. As educators they look to you for guidance. Instead of guiding students, you scam them out of their money and continuously lie. They SHOULD BE SUED for their lies and how they scam students out of money. My son goes to bellarmine now and loves it and never had any issues. They are so willing to help you and walk you through everything. Please stay away from this school. Galen, bellarmine, Spencerian, UofL, ANY of these schools are better than JCTC. FIRE EVERYONE in that financial aid and bursars office. Bunch of lazy sitting rocks.

Here is why I say only 1 star, this is strictly based on my experience with 1 professor! Ok been going here almost two full semesters and the first semester was fine had good teachers that actually loved teaching and helping students, this semester I'm taking a developmental psychology class and this teacher is the worst I've ever experienced. Completely unprofessional, talked down to the students as if we were stupid, not just once but the entire first few weeks, until I wrote her saying I walked out of your class because you were being so disrespectful I couldn't take it anymore. I actually went to the ARC after crying because I was so unset. She also singled out a woman from our class all the time which shocked me, but she kept on going. The women eventually drop her class. I was going to file a compaint but she never directed her comments directly to me rather the class as a whole, so I couldn't. She also claims she is not a teacher, she's a professor, sorry but I'm in community college, I kinda need a teacher but she does not teach, she says she is there to answer questions basically! Plus, I missed an exam because she didn't post it on blackboard (because we are all adults and suppose to know this already) and now I'm failing the class. Recently she decided we don't have to have class and never let those that missed that class date (in which this was discussed) know what was going on, I missed that class due to JCPS spring break (those of us who have kids), so I show up each day to class not knowing what is going on and I'm wasting my gas, never bother to post it on blackboard either. I'm a ARC student and she didn't give a damn about accommodating me, when I tried to talk to her in the beginning of the semester about it she simply brushed me off saying well you have extended test time but that's it. I'm here now at her office and she isn't even here during her office hours and trying to figure out why I'm failing and what I can do to bring my grade up. I can honestly say this Professor ruined my college experience because I no longer want to come here. I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels this way either.

Literally awful, especially jctc southwest campus. I have had to come in three times, once because they couldn't scan a document correctly. Too difficult to try to go to school here

I've been trying since January of 2017 to enroll in this college. I'm only here for the UPS Loop program. Otherwise, U of L is where I would rather be. But after months of the run around and still (It's MAY 2017 now) not being signed up for fall classes and still having issues that I never experienced at University of Louisville, I would never recommend JCTC to anyone. It's awful. You can't get anything done. I haven't even started my classes yet and I'm already planning on unenrolling. 0/10 would not recommend. The loop program is a great program and the Bellamy is perfect, Bute JCTC is totally not worth it.
