Saint Mary of the Woods College is a really good college. I have been attending this school for a couple years now through their online program. I feel that there is a lack of a connection between the students who attend school online and those that attend on campus. The online students, like myself, are not always included with the activities and events held on campus. There is very little communication from the school, advisors, and staff to the online students. I felt, at times, that I never knew what I needed to do next or what courses to change. It was as if I was doing things on my own and only received direction when paperwork needed to be done. I understand that we are adults and we can handle ourselves, but it would be nice to have some guidance and some sort of feedback. It may be different for other students but these were things I experienced.

SMWC provided an outstanding educational experience which opened the door for many internship and job opportunities both during and after college. The Woods helped shape me into the woman I am today and I made lifelong friends along the way. There simply isn't a better option when considering private schools in the Midwest. Both my mother and I are legacies of the Woods and I can only hope to send my future children here one day.

Very well kept and beautiful displays thru out the long halls. Beautiful flower gardens to look thru the long clean windows. Glass doors to go out and sit near the gardens.

SMWC is a place where you become part of something bigger than yourself - where you can learn and grow, find your future and aspire higher. I love this campus with all of its historic architecture. There is a great story to tell about Saint Mary-of-the-Woods!

I greatly enjoyed my experience with the a Woods Online distance program as far as the actual classes go, but they really need to work on communication. The Financial Aid department in particular seems to have an extremely difficult time offering distance students any real help. Communication is key and they dropped the ball. I am now stuck paying out of pocket for the classes I took, which I thought were covered by financial aid.

You won't find a safer, more challenging and loving place to pursue your dreams. This college gets it. They know how girls find their voice. After all, they've been at for over 175 years. The motto says it all: virtue and knowledge united. I graduated in 1978 and my only daughter is considering attending.

Thwre is no where on this plant such as 'THE WOODS" altho i was a very young, 17 yr.old freshman, not wise in the advantages og this little place of heaven. I finished here we e in KY @ WKU but had i been a bit wiser and more mature i do believe, loiking back with the wisdom of an older woman i would've stayed at the WOODS. And as another mentioned the bonds of female friendship the kind tested by fire are definately fully refined and forged maybe even fire.

Not great. Perhaps this is because the Woods Online program hasn't figured out how to properly implement distance learning. Maybe on campus programs are better. I felt like I was given As too easily from most instructors, and they were not even really interested in teaching. I felt like I was 100% on my own reading the text and doing the coursework only to have an unknown entity grade it and return it (and sometimes it took weeks to get feedback on an assignment you need in order to fully move to the next). Only when I had classes with the department head and one other instructor did I feel like I was getting genuine feedback. Poor communication in general. I don't know if I would pursue my education here if I could go back in time. I don't necessarily regret it, but hindsight is 20/20.
