I earned both master's degrees in business from the dual MBA/MSSF program. Excellent school boasting a great curriculum, great staff, beautiful campus, and very favorable costs per credit hour. I can't say enough great things about this school. My time there will forever be in my heart and will take my career to the top of my industry!

A portion of the staff aren't even ACTUAL professors x'D A clown college for locals. I've learned more from reading online than I ever learned here. Save your time and money and pick a real college

IUS is commuter school. This isn't the type of college you would want to stay on campus. Its hard to meet people that you can relate to. A lot of older folks who are parents, have full-time jobs, a life outside of school. Its just school. There are clubs to join and stuff. There are just a few people in each. Housing is a rip off! FOR SURE! Boring school. Not much happens on campus. Go to class, then you go home. That's it. You get what you pay for, I guess

Attended IUS for undergrad, and am returning this Fall for Grad school. Honors Program made the experience. Was amazing.

I had the displeasure of attending IUS for two semesters and DAMN was it awful. Over half of the staff aren't even college professors!!! A COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. 0 stars

I attended IUS while it was still located in Jeffersonville then received my ADN at the New Albany campus in 1976. I have now completed the requirements needed for a BS but not in nursing as this would require me to either test out of the classes I am already proficient in and pay for the credit hours once again or retake the classes. Other than this one problem I have never found anything else to be critical of on campus. I have never had a professor who was not qualified to teach and learned much more here than I did the year I attended Ball State University in Muncie, IN. IUS is no longer a commuter only campus as there is on campus housing along with several new small apartment complexes near campus which appear to be meant for students since they have several flights of stairs and no elevators. IUS does have a higher number of older students but that is part of the beauty of this campus. The older students are part of the population at the other campuses also but just not as visible as classes aren't offered at times convenient to the adult student working full time at the larger universities. I found it very informative to sit next to students 30 years my senior and 30 years younger on the other side. I was exposed to a wide range of viewpoints to learn from and to share without having any arguments. The environment is very conducive to learning, learning how to live in a grown up world for those first experiencing this side of life and/or learning just because I want to learn more and know more about the world around me. The non-credit courses I have taken have really been enjoyable. I took two semester of mountain dulcimer lessons and continue to play for my enjoyment today. There are numerous opportunities outside of for credit courses for a campus this size. I was never aware of any of these type of activities at Ball State. I had to park my car miles away from the dormitory and walk to it when it was needed. There was no security like the security on the IUS campus when you have a late at night class or need to go to the parking lot miles away in the dark. Those who have been critical of the campus don't realize what a gem we have right out or door steps or were looking for the big campus life and disappointed that it wasn't found at IUS.

This institute does not provoke, nor allow, experimental pathways of thought. I was attending this school for a music composition degree, and it served as nothing but a road block for myself and my education. I was corralled into lines, like a greenhorn of any industry, but those lines stayed straight - never allowing a spark of creativity to kick start the pistons of my mind. The musical system put in place at this higher education affiliate has failed. I have composed this letter from another building on the same college's campus, proving that Indiana University Southeast does have at least one dutifully respectful educator: its library.

I personally really enjoyed my time here. As others said, being a bit off the beaten path it's more of a commuter school feel. I think they're trying to change that and it shows with campus life having started to pick up in the past few years and the addition of dorms. Overall though my concentration in business and finance the professors were extremely knowledgeable and had a wide range of ideological backgrounds so you were challenged in thinking outside the box. Not sure what these others reviewers concentrations were, but no school can be great in everything. They are great in their business programs though.

I was really looking forward to staying at the Pepin Mansion. I was scheduled to be there on March 2nd and 3rd of this year to give a seminar at Indiana University Southeast. I even told colleagues who would be travelling with me about the mansion and showed them the website of the Pepin mansion. However; five days before I was to arrive my father passed away. I contacted the Pepin Mansion as soon as I found out to cancel my reservation; but was informed by Ronald Smith, the owner of the establishment, that it was against his policy to issue refunds. I explained that these were extenuating circumstances and was informed that if they issue refunds for everyone having extenuating circumstances they wouldn’t be in business. I was notified a week later that he was able to sell my room; but at a much lower rate and offered me a 50% gift certificate on a future stay. At first, I accepted the offer (and never received it); but on further thought I reasoned that if this was the type of hospitality they offered guests that I would rather stay at a much lower caliber hotel if my travel brought me back in the area. Respect for a personal situation such as a parent passing should be of higher value than the $179 for the use of this hotel.

My experience with IUS' School of Business and their MBA program have been overwhelmingly positive. Small but gorgeous campus, small class sizes, and conveniently located close to New Albany and Louisville. Many people act like IUS isn't a "real" university, but don't be fooled. I spent a fraction of what someone at U of L would have on my degrees and am making just as much as (if not more) than those people are.

Beautiful campus. Caring administrators. Small campus but we'll organized.
