UIS gave me the most AMAZING college experience I could have hoped for. The small class sizes helped me feel like I was an environment that I could learn and ask questions freely. I would definitely recommend UIS to anyone and if I could do my college experience over again, I would choose UIS again without hesitation.

I recently attended their annual cyber security conference and learned a lot. I particularly liked their IT lab where we were able to forensically "apprehend" a mock cyber criminal.

Have mixed opinion on the education and faculties. I have had lot of difficulties finding the right information, when my wife started MIS degree in here. My wife found online classes hard compare to in-campus classes. Lot of students in one class. On good side, less expensive compare to other universities in the area. Campus is big and maintained properly. For people in USA on H1B/working visa and their wives can get in-state fees waived off if you have been living in IL for more than a year.

I love UIS. The campus is small and there are many friendly and personable professors. It is also very cheap and easy to get parts of your education paid for (unless you get crappy grades). The students are nice and there is very little partying.

Good professors, absolute horrible administrators. Don’t expect to hear anything back from the offices, especially the Financial Aid office in particular. The university will gladly take your money, but don’t expect to get help with any problems or questions you may have.

UIS has a beautiful, small campus. The administrators are extremely difficult to work with. The classes are small, so it is nice to get 1 on 1 interaction with your professors. If you want anything more though, be prepared to jump through many unnecessary hoops.

The instructors were great but the administration is horrible. It's very difficult to understand how much online classes will cost and they're very overpriced for what you get. Hard to contact. Would not recommend.
