I attend this school...it is terrible. The people is so rude. When you call them they don' t want to answer your question. They just want you to go online and figure everything out yourself. They are lazy and don't want to help the people who have questions. They have very poor customer service. Terrible

I was elected to represent the student body on the board of trustees. Because I ran on a platform to change the leadership starting with ultra corrupt President Wayne Watson, I was expelled on trumped up charges. The administration overall is incompetent, the Provost was placed on the front page of the Chicago Tribune for plagiarizing her dissertation. I urge you not to waist your money on a degree that folks all across the state no is worthless.

I'm an alumni of this university and I have to say that my educational experience wasn't what I hoped it to be. Although I encountered some great professors there still were some that left a bad taste in my mouth. The campus is actually very nice. I love the progress it has made. I hope it continues to prosper and flourish.

I love Chicago State. Just to be fair, you should know that I teach there. We have had corrupt administration, but things are looking better. Our current Acting President is wonderful and has worked hard to improve the services and atmosphere on campus. I've always been proud to teach at CSU. I've been around long enough to see our alumni become successful professionals. According to the New York Times, CSU is in the top 10% of universities in the country for increasing the income of alumni over that of their parents.

This is THEE MOST INCOMPETENT University I have ever been too!!! Majority of the staff always have attitudes and are very rude. You can never get the answer your looking for. The University as a whole is VERY UNORGANIZED! Certain departments are never open due to staff shortage (This should never affect students!)DO NOT SPEND YOUR FINANCIAL AID OR MONEY HERE!! They are supposed to be closing in May! This would have been my first semester here. Every time I come on campus there is always a negative presence there. This is not the kind of University I can focus on getting a education in! Not to mention the University itself is VERY ran down! It looks like a DUMP!! For all the money they are charging for tuition. You would think they would make the place look more presentable. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME, MONEY OR ENERGY!

CSU is a great place to learn and to grow your ideas. There's a lot of room to develop your individual goals and connect with Chicago culture. They do need to upgrade their technologies as well as infrastructure. But other than that this is a wonderful place to go to school, an event, or just to be on campus!

I went here for a term while working on my Associate's. Chicago State has a beautiful campus and helpful staff all around. The instructors were okay. The resources are definitely above average. Chicago State University is a very underrated school. I would absolutely go back for another degree.

Spring of 2014 was my first semester and it was okay. The professors are what makes me want to come back, they are all great! I have issues with the way the school is being run, but I just go to school and go home, I try not to engage myself with all of the problems with the administration if I don't have to, Anyone looking to attend Chicago State, I would say to come because the cost is so cheap, the professors are great, and every school has problems, why not pick one close to home! ****** I'm increasing the stars because I am really liking the online courses too! ****** Anyone thinking about attending school at CSU, I suggest you come tour the campus and talk to students, you would really like it. The school is not what it used to be, there is a diverse student body. DO NOT JUDGE CSU BY ITS LOCATION, you'd miss out on a great opportunity.

I wait every year to enjoy the free outdoor concert Jazz in the Grazz. This is the 5th years for this outdoor concert series. It has grown from a small event to drawning hundreds of people who come to hear world class jazz music for free. I am here every Wednesday from 6 pm until 9 pm. This year was the 5th annual Jazz in the Grazz at Chicago State University. I tried my best to attend every concert from May to September. I am always impressed with the new young jazz musicians. One of my favorite new artists is Erving Pierce. He is definitely a talented saxophonist.
