Great small university. Very student oriented great campus location

The school program is good. However, the staff never answers emails or phone calls.

Please don't listen to Marks glowing review. Benedictine may have been a gem of a school for him, but that is because he didn't need accomodations. I had submitted my paperwork for accomodations and still failed to get help. The Professor refused to help me understand how to do the homework assignments which forced me to withdraw from the class. the school has refused to take any sort of responsibility. please don't attend this school if you need accomodations as the way they will treat you is totally unacceptable

I do not normally write negative reviews as I try to always be positive and if I don't have anything nice to say I try to say nothing at all but if this helps anyone who is trying to make a decision on whether or not to attend this facility then I'm willing to write this. I would not recommend this school to ANYONE! My son attended for two years and I can't think of one positive aspect to write about. The dorms were disgusting and rundown, help from professors and faculty in EVERY department non existent, and the athletic department is a joke!

I am puzzled at the one-star reviews here. This school is a gem. Small campus feel with big campus facilities. The business school is only 18 months old and is a state-of-the-art facility. 17-1 student to teacher ratio with no teaching assistants in the classroom providing instruction. You learn from real professors. The close proximity of the university to Chicago means students have internship opportunities with some of the leading corporations in the world.

Some of the instructors I had said they care about the students and will help them achieve in their class, they did not care one bit about the students, and only helped their favorite students. I paid nearly $5 for my transcript to transfer to another college, that was about 3 weeks ago. The university, sorry, COMMUNITY COLLEGE has not delivered my transcripts to them yet and I feel cheated out of my money. I had to withdraw from campus for a medical reason in the middle of the second semester. I provided the staff with the doctors note, hospital records and the needed form to help push the process along. I had to wait a very long time, and had damage done to where I had a very low GPA. I pay nearly 35,000 dollars a year to go to this university and this is how they treat students, with instructors who pick and choose who they help and faculty that takes a long time to process one form to withdraw. Don't waste your money here, all the money will go towards beautifying the campus and hiring second rate acts throughout both of the semesters.

Visited your university yesterday for a football game. 1st time traveling with Olivet College football we, as seniors, we're not given a senior rate, was made to pay $10 to enter game to see our grandson play. Next, to start the game, there was a prayer, then the national anthem---- with 15 of your players taking a knee! 1st time this year for that as well! What an embarrassment for your school!

Love love love this school!!! I have been attending Ben U for the past 3 years! I have never had a problem getting any of my questions answered!

If you are thinking about signing up for any of Benedictine’s on-line graduate degrees don’t! Save yourself from the crushing debt and a worthless degree with long-term unemployment to show for it. I seriously wish I had not done it.

The campus is in a suburban city of Lisle. Not super crowded, but calm. The school itself is small with smaller class sizes. Academically is is alright and not amazing. I will say there is a lot more opportunities to get involved though. My sister graduated from here and she is about to start her Master's degree. Basically if you work you will be a success coming form the school.

Good instructors and colleagues but you will graduate with a huge debt and NO help in finding a job.

This school awesome and the professors are great. The only thing that is in need of improvement is admissions. Too many students here are not at the college level with respects to academics, but I guess that is where the money is made (class repeaters and droppers).

I put in an application for an online program, and they went digging into my resume, and asked for foreign transcripts over 10 years old that I hadn't included on my application.

This is from a student. I have not yet graduated but I can tell you overall the social aspect of this school feels very much like a community college.

The dorm that I stayed was absolutely disgusting and rundown. The basement where the washer and driers are is often flooded and smells like mildew. The bathrooms are cleaned once a day and the idiots who live here do disgusting things to the bathroom all the time. Someone has pooped in the shower. People pee in water bottles and place them in the urinals. People fill the toilets to the brim with toilet paper and no one does anything about it. The halls always smell like weed and cigarettes. There are some really smart students here. However, in my experience, many of the students are unintelligent and have no ambition. It is clear that a lot of people go here because they couldn't get into any other school. The school will accept anyone who applies because they are desperate for money. If your only goal is to earn a degree than this school is fine. However, if you would actually like to learn a field of study, there are plenty of other universities with a real learning atmospheres. The education you get here is not worth the insane amount of money you pay.

Okay everyone, Buckle up, Grab your popcorn, And let me tell you the story about the impending death of Benedictine University. Some context, Im a current student; a freshman mind you, and Im on an athletic team. it was announced earlier in the year that all our programs were going D2 in the following year. Just recently The president of the university has mysteriously withdrawn without statement and they have decided to no longer pursue D2 athletics. Many students have withdrawn or are planning to and its not even been a week since the news. This just scratches the surface. Lets talk dorms. The A/C is broke every other week and its hot as balls (good luck trying to sleep) the building is filled with slobs. I mean seriously, A bottle of chocolate milk was splattered all over the staircase, it looked like a coco crime scene, all over the walls and its still there! nobody cleaned it up. The bathrooms are trashed, the great flood of trash occurs every other day. I swim through trash just to get to the toilet. speaking of toilets they are constantly plugged. the stalls are disgusting with profanity all over the walls along with countless boogers. half the stall doors are broken. Friday through sunday the sinks are filled with the puke of the kids who party all night. The halls smell like mildew and weed and nobody cares about it.The school is going broke. nobody says anything but its known among the university. they don't have money to fund fun things for students to do. They even asked students to pay for their own bingo prizes. The list goes on I won't take up anymore of your time if you are planning to attend benedictine University in the future, that is if the place is even still running. DONT. *mic drop* -RMNZ

As a food scientist and food explorer, I attend the veggie fest every year. I enjoy listening to different perspectives on veganism and vegetariansm by different authors, activists etc. This year, I felt the focus is more towards Indian culture, meditation and spiritualism. I understand the vegetarianism is an integral part of indian spiritualism, but in the gathering like this I would like to see more focus on foods rather than on Indian culture. I would also suggest the organizers to invite scientists, engineers from leading food industry and academia to talk about the current status/chalenges of implementing vegetarianism/veganism or natural ingredients in processed foods. Thanks for arranging the kids activities, My daughter enjoyed it the most.
