I have to give the VP today a credit for taking the time to sit down giving us the opportunity to plead our case, nearly given up and exhaust all resources. There is after all that one person that can relate to your situation and at the same time can delete your future. He will turn the key for a chance of a future. Thank you

College is great, but their admissions, registrar and payment sections need much improvement. Our son is enrolled and every semester, not one notification of payments, so Gordon drops all his classes. Oh wait, they can notify when they drop classes but not payment issues. They also drop classes one day before starting semester and that adds to our child's frustration!

This is a fantastic college. I attended there from 2003 to 2005. The classes were small and all the instructors were great and know their students by name. Since Gordon State is in the University system all my classes transferred when I decided to finish at Georgia Southern. I've also noticed they offer several more bachelors programs than they did when I attended.

It's impossible to get to class early or even on time if you are a commuter. As for some reason a train cuts the town in half almost every morning for about 25-35 minutes. Gordon has good professors, but the frustration of getting to class is to much. Do not attend this school as a commuter. I just said screw it and turned my car around and went home after 30 minutes of sitting there.

Terrific school. Professors are accessible and helpful.

Good but not great. Gordon has some good professors but it has some alright academics. But I have to say that it has poor programs, poor food, poor financial aid, and poor diversity.

The school itself is great. Good programs and professors. But the PARKING is AWFUL!!! There is not enough parking for the amount of students that attend. But there is faculty parking that is never filled and that used to be student parking.

Honestly, I wasted three to four years at this institution and I regret coming here. This school was absolutely NOT for me, I don't recommendations this place for anyone unless you're interested in becoming a nurse or something but other than that I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. If you have a problem with a professor in the humanities department don't waste your time going to the head of the department because Dr.Whitlock didn't help me at all, instead he twisted my words making it seem as if I said that I was fluent in Spanish when I did not say that, I specifically told him that I am NOT fluent in the language and that I was just okay in it and that my only issue is remembering what to say when I try to speak it. He also defined me by a letter grade in a previous Spanish I class I had taken in the spring semester of 2017, making it seem as if I'm not smart at all and he pretty much made me look dumb in from of my own mother. Aside from that Dr. Guffey is a God awful Spanish professor, if you're a student at Gordon then I highly recommend you to not take her class especially her online class, you will be setting yourself up if you do especially if you're a person of color. Dr. Guffey doesn't listen to her students, she's too quick to accuse people of cheating on her tests and quizzes, and she's overall unprofessional. Dr. Guffey is so infatuated with Spain and their proper grammar in their Spanish language that she fails to understand that the language is different in Latin America whereas there is a lot of slang. For me I learn best with how Spanish is spoken in Latin America because I feel as if I'm able to understand it more. But to add on Dr. Guffey didn't even think I could do Spanish at all given the fact that I did pretty well in Spanish I and II in high school, but of course she thinks and believes that her knowledge in the language is far better and she doesn't give students who learn it differently a chance. In my opinion I believe between her and Dr. Whitlock they both think I'm ignorant, and apparently dumb but I will prove them wrong once I go back into the spring and graduate. I thought Gordon was a great school until now, I'm highly disgusted at how some of these people think they're better than the students. I wish there was an option to give zero stars on this review because that's how disappointed I am as I student. Some people shouldn't be allowed to work in the education system and that's a fact.

Not your average State School! The faculty are on their game and staff are always helpful and friendly. The only complaint is PARKING, but you get great exercise!!

I attended Gordon State College one semester in the Spring of 2018. The class was an online class. It was interesting but the instructor was not available most of the semester. We thought there was a system issue because we didn’t hear from the instructor the first 3 days. We would ask questions in regards to the syllabus, assignments & exams and would not receive responses until afterward the due dates. The professor seemed to have too much on her plate. She was a part time instructor with other full time employment. The admission process was easy & Banner and the website was easy to navigate. I can’t speak on the financial aid process because I paid for the class out of pocket. I can say the nelnet payment plan was a breeze. I transferred the class back to Georgia Southern University to complete my Bachelors degree.

Gordon is fantastic. It is beautiful and well cared for. The staff is really a bunch of sweet hearts, in my years here I have NEVER come across one that didn't feel like coming to work that day. They are never condescending and are always helpful. I think they are very choosy who they put in the offices like financial aid, business, registrars etc. I can't say enough good things about them, even when you feel like you are asking too much or being ignorant, they are pleasant. I love the classic college feel but apart from the big city, its perfect and unlike high school i have a ton of school pride!

The staff at Gordon State are amazing. If they can't answer your question they find the answer for you. Campus is beautiful. Lots of food places on campus and so much to choose from! Me an my friends eat in the SARC because Caroline is always smiling and makes me laugh when I go get food there. She treat everybody like they special and she happy to see them. Bookstore people are nice and it always clean and neat. Kinda pricey sometime but good, cool things there. If I was younger I would live there on campus cuz its like a whole city.

WOW...my son received a baseball offer from 2 schools in Alabama, but we went to Gordon for a baseball camp and we fell I love with the campus the people in Admission, Financial Aid everyone was so nice and HELPFUL. My son decided to he wanted to go to GSC.... I couldn't be happier... As for baseball he will try to make the team as a walk- on...... Awesome place GSC

Great school. The teachers and staff are awesome, and they’re always willing to help. As others have said before, parking is the only issue. The main parking lot requires walking up a steep hill. I’m not handicapped, but I have asthma and that hill kills me.
