If you're considering coming to FSU, don't hold back. During my time here as undergrad, it has been a challenge, keeping up with the assignments, but, I'd do it all over again. The time here is worth it. People are friendly, the instructors are craftsmen (and craftswomen) in their profession. If you so happen to major in Criminology, I would suggest White Collar Crime as a course elective. Changed. My. Life. The cons: there could be a lot of walking involved if you're not into that sort of thing. But I lost weight doing it, so it can't be all that bad. Another con is that if you don't sign in for your classes early, you'll be stuck with the left-overs. Trust me. I know from experience. If nothing else convinces you, we won the last BCS Championship! #goNoles People are likely to remember the latest moment.

Be prepared to be in Debt for all your life. Make your choice here and now. Take the Blue pill and go into a Job with a technical degree/short term certificate and earn a living. Take the Red pill and be brought down by a Scam which is undergraduates while also majoring in something which won't be of any use years down the road. Such decision will get you in debt for life and either no job or an unfufilling underpaid career. Your choice, your will... let's see what you'll choose in this so called game of life..

The good and bad. The classes are great and the content taught is comparable to the standard of Ivy League Schools (true story, the instructors are golden). The bad, some of the buildings on campus are run down (the community college I transferred from had cleanlier buildings). There's a fee for everything... if FSU could find a way to charge you for breeding the air on campus it would (they needed the extra money for the giant monitor at the top of the stadium while simultaneously cutting funding for any program not science, IT, or business related). If you're a transfer the orientation staff gives you half of a day to become acquainted with campus (they treat you like the stepchild). The map of campus will save your life. Signing up for classes left me more confused than a homeless man on house arrest. Hope you love lines, because there's no shortage of them when waiting to speak to advising.

Your experience at a university hardly has anything to do with the football program. If that is your reason for disliking a university or attending a university, please do not come to Tallahassee. At FSU, you have the opportunity to grow as an individual whether it be socially or academically. There are many opportunities to have fun and many opportunities to excel academically in challenging fields of study. Since FSU is located in the capital of the state there are many more high level employment/Intern opportunities immediately following graduation. I spent some of the best years of my life at FSU, I met the woman of my dreams at FSU, and received my bachelors from FSU. I'm very happy with my choice and I am reaping successes of the hard work and happiness I found in Tallahassee.

They steal all of your money then don't answer the phones for 6 months straight so you can't get it back until a lawyer is involved. This place is a god damn joke. I'm a a student trying to transfer from another state and have been trying to get a hold of the admissions department for about 3 months now to no avail. I call throughout the day and I just get some BS automated phone recording and sit on hold for up to 25 minutes with no one answering. I've emailed several times without a response. The admissions department is literally the most important department, in the school, for bringing in revenue and the dont have any staff? What a joke. I decided to go with another school because if they cant figure out how to answer the phones or emails how can they figure out providing an education?

First visit from this Hokie. Miss the layout of VT but each building here is beautiful on its own. Just did a quick walking tour today but everyone was super nice. The stadium was locked down while they set up for the Blake Shelton concert but an extra kind officer walked me in to snap a few pics.

Big uncomfortable campus without good public transportation compare to UCF or UF. You will always have a problem with parking, even outside campus. Not sure about criminal conditions, as for me, Tallahassee doesn't look like a safe place to live. Heavy traffic at rush hours.

They campus is absolutely gorgeous and we had a great tour here. The area is really nice as well. I can't complain about the weather either since I was born and raised in Florida and it beats the freezing cold. They have good academics and are well recognized, at least in my perspective and I can't see a valid reason I personally wouldn't want to go here - meaning I think it would be a great school to attend. It's also in the states capital, which for my major is a huge perk.

I went to FSU in 1999-2000 and have fond memories of it. I received a wonderful education with the psychology department and got to participate in valuable internships in the surrounding communities. The best part was attending the football games! Doak Campbell stadium is absolutely thrilling and I am a proud Seminole!!! My children are excited to attend FSU in the near future! Tallahassee is a very friendly town filled with both college students and families. Many delicious restaurants and night time activities consume the town. I absolutely love visiting FSU and Tallahassee!!!!

FSU gets more hate than it deserves, and there are surprisingly a lot more genuine students there to study/gain skills than students who just want to be on some website's top university lists. College rivalry has always confused me, and this institution has many people passionate about its athletics/academics while holding great respect towards other universities. Although Tallahassee is the worst city I've ever lived in with the worst people I've had to deal with, FSU's quality education, extensive resources, and diverse culture has made my journey well worth it.

Their office and services are outdated, understaffed, disorganized and inefficient. FSU is a great school! Its office of financial aid is not great. It's not even a little bit "okay." It's dismal. Documents are lost or misapplied frequently. Communication with staff is hard to make happen. Emails are ignored. For such a prestigious school with advanced technology and design programs it is LAUGHABLE how outdated, poor working, and plain dumb their website and services are. So many links are broken and lead to dead ends. So many phone calls also lead to "I can refer you to someone who may help" who actually will get back to you by call eventually. Eventually. This office of financial aid is 100% inadequate for the university it claims to support. Not looking forward to 2 more years of this BS at school.

I went here for my undergrad. I am disappointed to see my alma mater has yet to get with the times. Very few programs are offered online. What are you doing here guys? There are more than when I went to school online here in 2008 but not that many more. Why why WHY??? Is the Creative Writing Program not online? If any program was perfect for the online learning environment it is Creative Writing. FSU needs to get with the times and offer more programs online for working adults. FYI If the Creative Writing Program was available online I'd probably take it and I could pay cash money to do it FSU. Think on that.

Only problem is I will have 2 years of college under my belt before I even come here, so I'll only be on this beautiful campus for 2 years to get my bachelor's. Visited the campus twice, once for a football game, and once for a baseball game. After going to a block party before Saturday night football, I can say that Tallahassee has a great nightlife. The professors are always helpful and passionate about the well-being of the students and the atmosphere is amazing. I am currently preparing myself to study abroad at the FSU London Study Centre and they guided me every step of the way in my first trip across the world.
