Clean. New. Organized. High tech.

The school is transparent in their information and will try and answer if asked. This university is still small and has a long way to go. I myself am part of the class of 2020 and have everything currently covered by the scholarship as well as Bright Futures. The university will test your skills via classes and interning. You will be awarded money the beginning year coming here and will have a chance to obtain and retain scholarship. There are issues with some professors when it comes to the classes, but that should not be new for any university. All the resources are here to prepare you for success (academic advisors, etc.). While not perfect this is still an amazing university and I would recommend this University if you want to focus on STEM.

This place is a one man show! The Director of Sponsored Research left the school in December 2018 and the Vice President of Advancement and Executive Director of University Foundation left poly in January 2019. They had been with us from the beginning. Place has lots of politics. The latest: the Vice Provost of Enrollment and Student Development resigned on last Friday, March 22 who was with us nearly five years starting from the beginning. Someone should investigate the administration before Poly falls apart soon. This is like a highschool sitting between two universities, UCF and USF. That is the level you can find here, no quality and no good programs. Do not let your kids waste their most important four years of their life sending your kids here !! We had 3000 applications in 2014 and only 500 last year. Administration plays lots of political games and does not bring quality people to teach kids. Most of the faculties are fresh graduates with little or no experience in teaching. They have what they call directors made up of unqualified individuals selected solely for political reasons. If you do not play politics right you are out !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Last year, 14 faculty and staff members either terminated or non-renewed as retaliations. It does not have a tenure-track system so serious researches should think twice before coming here. As a faculty in an engineering department we do not have resources to conduct our research. The problem is much more serious. I have seen people leaving after one semester or two semesters. Since they have a contract system you cannot say for sure whether you will be renewed. So if you buy a house and not renewed, you are in a very difficult situation to sell your property. I'm with poly for more than 4 years now and in a similar situation. What would you do if you are in the same boat? Write your comment as a reply. Do a favor for you and do your homework before coming here either as staff or faculty. Talk to the admin and verify my revelation. They fired assistant librarian and student's health support person in June! giving only a two-three month notice. Now, they are out of job. School reported two deaths due to suicide last year and they are in the news now. They do not take care of your kids properly. Very sad !!!!!!!!!!!!! Welcome to the culture if you want to come here.

Drove by it tons of times making the journey from Orlando to Tampa and back as they were building it. Only been by it one other time since then and it looks pretty cool Situated right in the heart of Lakeland off of Interstate 4. Looks like what you think it does. (sorry not sorry - I think it's funny) Also wasn't a car commerical filmed here? Maybe two commericals?

This is my oldest brother's school and find it extraordinary. Staff was very friendly and the students at the school are cool. I really like this school for my brother and he enjoys it too:)

My experience with Florida Polytechnic is far from even decent. I was a student who invested his entire college opportunity into this school and was only met with difficulty and unhelpful staff. After spending 2 and half years doing my best …

It has potential. However, they have no clue how to do anything correctly with transcripts and financial aid. There are too many things going on in that school that are not quite pleasing there. They must get their act together and ASAP before they lose their credentials to be accredited.

Slater Colteryahn

The teachers are encouraging and eager to help. They provide you with the tools you need to succeed.

I love Florida Poly. I'm a freshman studying Mechanical Engineering and I've had nothing but great experiences. The classes are very small but extremely rigorous. The faculty and staff are incredible and so eager to help. Everything is state of the art and brand new. Attending Poly was the best decision I've made thus far. I'd definitely recommend this university to anyone looking at a career in the STEM field.

I would like to be a student again ;)

Sam Collins

Great school and environment. My daughter is in her third year and has had a great experience. The classes are challenging but there is always help available. Beautiful campus and dorms.

Roseann Goss

I have a son that goes there and I am very pleased with the school. The architecture is unique. I am looking forward to see it grow.

Riley Schill

Small class sizes and all of the professors want to be here and teach.

Eredis Gutierrez

Great University. They have great hands-on experience and prepare you for the real world.

Anthony Giallourakis

Amazing university. Tremendous people, a one of a kind campus. My son is attending, he's a part of the inaugural class. He loves Florida Polytechnic.

Michael Henson

My daughter just finished her freshman year here. Great if you are into technology and looking for a place with small class rooms.

Best technical & innovation universities in Lakeland, FL. It is rather new, but the structure is amazingly beautiful. The roof is mechanical and moves accordingly to weather conditions. Ex. It will close up when there is strong winds to protect the building and its assets.

George Khoury

Incredible qualified staff from real world industries and applications

Makala Quinn

Ive loved my experience at Florida Poly. Everyone has been super friend and made the processes very easy. Applying is quick because there are no essays required. They only look at your test scores and transcripts. I am currently a freshman and am very excited to be able to start new clubs. I wanted to go to a college where I wasn't just a number and with the average class size being 20 at Florida Poly its nice to not get lost in the crowd. All of my professors personally know me and always have an open door policy. I would strongly recommend that you tour this school before making any decisions. Its a great school with a great staff that's always got your back. No matter how far from home you are they make you feel welcomed.

Spent a semester here. A waste of time. Spent unnecessary money on medical aid i didn't use once, gym membership i didn't use, little to no help from teachers and staff. Alot of the teachers expected all information to be known before hand. …

This is the web site that I visited and they wanted to know why I visited . May I know from you weather you offer scholarships ,

I would not recommend if you are a first time student. This is only for students who really want a challenge. The professors are no help at all. You will only pass your classes if you are able to teach yourself. This school not as good as it is made out to be. All they want to do is impress the public. They have no care for the students. When the school is trying to impress the public, it impairs students. This weekend they had a dinner for all of the individuals who donated to the school, when coming to the school the following Monday, none of the chairs or tables were set up in the study area. This is one example of how this university simply does not care. The upper staff spend time on plans to expand the school when they should be correcting the student experience. A large amount of the professors here are very difficult to understand and there is a strong language barrier. This puts more strain on the student who is already trying to learn new material. The material for courses are always changing. A professor admitted that this was his first semester using a new book which he stated has a lot of mistakes. This wastes students time and hurts their GPA to a great magnitude. Professors assign a large amount of homework and labs which makes taking multiple classes extremely difficult. I would choose UCF or USF. I was at Polk state for my AA degree and my experience there was far better. I learned more at Polk state than I did here at Florida Polytechnic University.

Small and isolated college, but high tech

Ok so we went on a field trip to this school and it went, fine? But THEN AT LUNCH THE LADY WAS LIKE OKAY GUYS WE HAVE ICE CREAM AND WE WERE HAPPY SO THEN WE WENT TO GET IT AND SHE WAS ALL LIKE “OPPS DONT WE DONT HAVE ICE CREAM GO F YOURSELF”

James Brown

Had high hopes for this school, but it is currently being piloted by monkeys.

I've only been there on a tour with my cousin, Jacob Livingston, who was the first ever to graduate from this university. It looks really appealing, and it's my top college to go to when I graduate high school. (As, I am a freshman, sadly.) I'm thinking of dual enrollment, or higher AP classes, since my only one at this moment in time is Human Geography. I've even eaten here with my grandparents, and that's still pretty good food. I'd love to go here.

Sharon Palsis

Awesome new STEM school, small class sizes, helpful staff but lacking in food quality.

Thomas Williams

Great school if you are looking for a small technology based school

Paul Salisbury

The site looks amazing and the current buildings look beautiful. Great to be so close to Auburndale too.

Delaney Jester

The best place to go for a STEM degree. Small class sizes, cutting-edge technology, and has many opportunities for experience. Two years in and I'm so happy I came here.

Ron Glines

Enjoyed a campus tour of that amazing building on I-4.

Patrick Hughes

Disability hating school!!! Park in a handicap spot for 45 minutes a week and they have the balls to nickle and dime there own students!! They see how much red tape they can tangle you in and have no mercy or heart! Thank you for being so horrific!! They are against there own handicap and commuting students, shame on you!!
