REVIEWS OF University of Northern Colorado IN Colorado

Hope Allen

A great, friendly and small college. I'm a little worried that it might grow to much in the coming years, and tuition increases have been pretty steep, but UNC is still a wonderful school. The campus is especially beautiful in the fall.

Morris White

I love this school. Period. It is the best educational setting I have ever set foot on and I hope to always be a student there. Great place.

I am so glad I chose the University of Northern Colorado. It is a great campus, strong academics, and hard working sports teams.

Kevin Hayes

Take it from a grad of UNC, this is a great place to receive an education.

Patrick Davies

This school is great. My fourth college and the best one yet. The faculty are always willing to help you no matter what the issue. This school is a little bigger than average but not to big that you still get that sense of community.

Lindsay Doane-Large

Even though I graduated a few years ago, I love to walk the beautiful campus every once in a while.

Great University, honestly very underrated.

UNC will always hold a special place in my heart. I graduated after four years and wish it took me longer. Great education, amazing faculty in all departments, and although it might not be the most exciting town it has some of the greatest people. Go Bears!

The University of Northern Colorado has an underlying ethos of nurture and support. The teachers are excellent and are very involved with their students. Education is innovative and progressive here. The dorm accommodations are the best in Colorado, and the food is amazing. There is always lots of choice on the menu, and the salad bar is exceptional. UNCO is very much underrated at present, but it is growing in reputation. I think it will be considered an outstanding school in 10 or 15 years, and a degree from here will carry a great deal of weight. The music school is truly outstanding. The school is absolutely beautiful. Central Campus is full of character, charm, and mature trees, and West Campus is new and modern and has wonderful facilities. This is a school that takes great care of its students. I loved the campus the first time I visited, and every interaction I have had here has been positive. I feel so happy and at home here. I would choose UNCO over any other school in Colorado.

This is not the correct address for UNC's Admission's office. That department can be found in Carter Hall Room 3006. The 501 20th St address locator is the Facilities department and the US postal address for the university's 80639 zip code.

I had incredibly high hopes for this University. As I toured I enjoyed the campus overall but the town to be frank SUCKS. There is nothing to do and my family and I traveled to Fort Collins every night as the food options were rated incredibly poorly. It smells like farm even though they say that it only smells once a week. Coming from someone that has been around farms their whole life my mom was CRINGING at the smell. Worst of all as we were leaving on the side of the highway we saw signs that said "All Immigrants must be deported" If you are more on the liberal side I would say that this college and town will not provide you room flourish on your views. I did enjoy the student to teacher ratio but one of the buildings had absolutely no windows. If you are going here I would splurge on the dorms if you can afford it. Otherwise you will be stuck without air conditioning and keeping your windows open with the smell of farm just doesn't sound appealing. To each their own I suppose

Attended for 5 years. It was a good time. My only complaint is that it is in Greeley.

Beautiful if you are into the east side of Greeley co

Nice little sleepy town we were stationed at Peterson Field AFB. 1970-1972. Great years, we came up here on a road trip to visit a friend of my best bud while we were stationed in Colorado. Ha, I couldn't say what it would be like to live and work up here but for a day it was peaceful and a good place to get high

Kassidy Dunnigan

I love this school so much. The professors are great and the dorms are exceptionally nice. There are so many nice people here. The professors here want you to succeed, as long as you work for it. For a small school, this is a really amazing one. I totally recommend this place if you're looking for a good education. The town is small, and there's not much to do, but there is a lot to do on campus and it's better to study anyways instead of party. I'm so glad I transferred here, it's one of the best decisions I have ever made.

The school is pretty but most the people here suck. Iv had one teacher that has actually been nice and seems to care about what they do. My others, I swear get off on failing students. Usually I love going to the coffee corner, especially getting a bagel and a drink before going upstairs to study. But I want the managers to see my post. Today my friend and I bought a bagel and both tasted like smoke, not that it was burnt but like cigarette smoke. I was horrible and neither of us finished it. I always love coming here but now im worried about having a smoke filled bagel.

Nate Busch

Teaching program is a little disorganized and overpriced imho; especially considering they forced you to take all these online courses in which you learn very little but for which you pay very much. Higher ed in general has become more for profit nowadays so you can't say they're unique in this sense...

Iris Tan

Best university ever. Professors are super nice and always willing to help. The town might be a little chill but it really helps you academically. Go bears!

Kolo Kaahanui

All of my Math Professors have been awesome! Super nice and super smart.

Jacob Preston

Beautiful Campus and great community. I love how the surrounding campus is mainly residential. Makes a more peaceful and quite college experience.

Sara LeFevre

This is the world's HARDEST school to enter. I began my application process well over 6 months ago. UNC then lost bits and pieces of my paperwork and blamed it on me. I replaced all necessary info and am now waiting... and waiting... and waiting... In the meantime, a mere 4 weeks ago, I submitted my application to CSU for a program beginning in May (the same month the UNC program begins). I am already accepted and well on my way to becoming a Ram. I don't know how UNC is as a school, and their admission process was daunting enough that I won't find out. Furthermore, each and every person I've encountered on the phone has been unbelievably rude.

Brian Phelps

This University is an awesome one to attend! Professors care about their students, and this campus has a friendly atmosphere. I'd highly recommend this University! The ONLY thing I dislike is the smell of Greeley at times - but that is not the University's fault.

I am an Alumni and have been for 35 years this December 1980. My experiences on trying to relentlessly pursue and correct erroneous Track&Field records I set at this Institution has been met with empty promises, incompetence, lies, ignorance, and the lack of civility and reverence toward me as a former student/athlete to set and correct the records. I am completely and thoroughly disenchanted by the substandard treatment I have received by the last three Athletic department administrations to mitigate and right these explicit and detailed requests for simple corrections. I set these records and no cares to do their paid jobs. I have in the past made Financial contributions over multiple years to several Scholarship Programs to assists needy and indignant potential student/athletes and feel basically stunned and disrespected. I am a self made individual and wish to be a Proud Alumnus, but the poor lack of service and apathy I have received has caused me to lose my once profound interest in this University as a Graduate and a Two-Time NCAA All-American. Sincerely Yours, Business Owner & Employer, M.S., double B.A., Former Professional & World Class Athlete, United States Armed Forces Veteran with Two Honorable Discharges and Three Service Medals, 2012 Political Candidate, and Justice Network National Legal Representative-181/2 years, Jeffrey J.Kicia ***P.S. I am deeply disappointed !!
