I've visited SUA twice, once travelling from Vegas and the other time from SF. It is a beautifully designed campus, with everything built via contributions of ordinary citizens. It is the dream of many people from all walks of life, who want humanistic education to be given to the world's future youthful leaders! Each building represent a continent named after great men like Pauling, Gandhi, Mathai. The fountain and the pond are beautiful and can be used for forest fires! Soka's campus is absolutely beautiful, mixing amazing architecture with a pleasant natural scenery. Above all, however, Soka is a great university. The small class sizes are ideal for the discussion-based style of education and the close contact with the professors opens many doors for the students. Furthermore, the school offers very generous financial aid and every single student gets a semester of study abroad that is included in the tuition. Lastly, Soka is located in beautiful Orange County, and while the surrounding city is rather quiet, there are many different interesting communities and many beautiful beaches in close proximity to Soka's campus.

The scenery of Soka is amazing in the early mornings and at sunset. The place is flourished with all sorts of plants. The food is amazing and the Dorms are high ceilings and spacious. I love coming here every summer for music programs, the campus is very homey and super welcoming. The architecture is gorgeous, especially the performance hall and the fountain out in the front.

I'm very glad to have picked this school. Not only do they offer a good range of classes despite the small faculty and student size (as of now, about 450 students), but they also have a lot of clubs for people to expand their studies. The free study abroad is what attracted me the most to this school, though, and I am very excited to be able to study in Japan for 4-5 months! I love having a private bathroom (as opposed to a bathroom shared by an entire hall) and there are a lot of included amenities (ex. free laundry, free printing, access to online reading resources and news sites, a macbook pro, etc). They definitely care about the success of their students. I feel very grateful to be here. The small campus doesn't feel stifling and there are plenty of things to do if one knows where to look.

One of my favorite parts about life here at SUA is how everyone is genuinely approachable and respectful of each other. SUA allows us to grow immensely at our own paces yet also challenging us to solve issues in our societies through humanistic approach

I am currently a senior at Soka University and I can honestly say that this school has been my dream come true. When I first got my acceptance letter and started researching into the school, I thought it was too good to be true. But it has lived up to every expectation and has been a blessing for me. Here are some of my favorite perks: 1. The dorms are luxurious. Freshman get their own bathroom and share their room with one other person. Sophomores and juniors get their own room and share a bathroom with just one other person. Many seniors get their own room and bathroom. 2. Study abroad is built into the tuition. I went to Madrid for a semester and there was no extra cost to me. Soka even paid for my flight and transportation to the airport! 3. The food is incredible. Our chefs are the best. Come try our food if you ever get a chance. 4. I have seen shows in our Performing Arts Center (tickets are only $5 for students) by performers from Germany, China, South America, etc. 5. The classes have a maximum of 15 students (most classes have 7-8 students) and are student-centered. They have opened my mind up to so many different kinds of thinking. 6. The career services office is amazing (go Jennifer Cunningham!). She helped me land a teaching job with Teach for America after graduation. 7. I have made lifelong friends through this university. I am so grateful to Soka for giving me the best four years of my life. I wish I could stay in college forever, haha.
