Here you will be able to see the feddbacks of people like you who are buying the products of San José State University (University) in California.
To this day the firm gets a rating of 4.1 over 5 and that score has been based on 383 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings that it reaches is very high, and it is founded on a very high number of reviews, so we may conclude that the assessment is very reliable. If people have bothered to leave their score when they are satisfied with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to give opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This University corresponds to the category of Public university.
Much smart. Very education. So debt.
i like chicken
I'm a student here you get your education which is fair but its really crammed geographically and staff can be not cooperative at times. Oh and there's always construction going on which is really annoying at times.
Nice university.

I love my university. Sure it gets packed but I like the environment!
Some of the students seems lost, don't know what to do. But there is spirit, the community is looking for purpose and I believe that purpose will soon be found.
its okay, could be better. the business courses are typically quite good especially for preparing you to enter the job market. The school's faculty are terribly disorganized, everybody i've talked to has had problems, one even paying an extra 1.5k he shouldnt have had to pay. After having lived in the dorms for a full 2 semesters my first order of business was getting out of them, they are good for making friends, but the service is terrible. I would recommend going here, just be prepared to have to go into various school offices to make them fix any errors they make. Also the wifi is consistantly bad.
gr8 location...and very good place for s/w and computer engnrs
Bad Professor in EE department
Campus is split apart oddly. Hard to find parking. Bad administration. Still a good school for engineering though.
because it is better than MIT
Nice clean campus, classes are well maintained and a decent cafeteria

I have applied for Fall term and submitted all my documents in time(2 months prior to the last date). But finally I received an email saying that my application is rejected due to insufficient documents. When I called admission people, I understood that they have not gone through my application at all. Which is a waste of money and time for me. And, I never received any communication from them asking for my documents. When I proved that they have received my documents very early, they simply told that they are not in position to do anything. My suggestion is this for whoever are applying to this university. If anyone wants to apply or had applied, do not leave them just by sending the documents and e-mailing. You have to call your departments' data specialist on phone everyday and get a confirmation on your application status. Somehow, let them know that you are waiting for your application status. If possible, mail everybody and call everybody in the admissions department. Otherwise, they will not know that you have submitted an application. Their mistake is costing me 1 year waste of time (applied in Jan, 2015 for Fall. Rejected for Fall). So, no chances os studying in 2015 as the deadlines for other universities are also closed.

best place San José State University
Great school with a great atmosphere for learning. Professors are all top notch, however administration can be difficult at times
Is it safe?
Small campus with a good location.

I slipped on a banana here
I study engineering and I feel that overall I end up teaching myself everything I need to know. Which I guess is a valuable skill, but not the one I should be paying for.
My alma mater. Good school though somewhat unsafe at night
Always the same busy. Beautiful building.
Don't listen to paid comments. Its not good university. Professors and School are below par. Even San Francisco State is similar, my cousin was there.
Beautiful campus.
Very good place for engineers since it is located in Silicon Valley. However, the university location is not very safe since it is located in downtown. Very hard to find parking if you class in the morning even if you paid for parking permit for the whole semester. The library is good but I wish it was not open to public most of the first and second floors are occupied by weird and homeless people.
Have amazing buildings, gardens and the security officers in the campus are polite and helpful

The university campus is open to everyone, means you can come here for a walk around the gardens of the university. It's well maintained and almost feels like a super mini version of Stanford due to the historical architecture, all the green and the palm trees. Good place to relax and get your step counter up. Also check out the library which is open to public.
I enjoyed being a student at SJSU. I selected SJSU because of two factors: proximity to high-tech industry, and accessibility. I wanted a flat campus because I am in a wheelchair and SJSU was the most accessible university I attended. I had fun at the other university too but pushing up and down hill constantly got old.
It's a university...what more can I say.
The campus when through a facelift and it's now very beautiful. The orientation was so much fun and thorough. The school offers a very strong support system from the beginning of the semester through finals. They even offer massage and snacks to help ease the stress spring final exam week. Most teachers/professors in the engineering school are really good. Just wish that they get paid fairly.
Went here 2000-2006 with a dbl bachelors. Great experience in life. Grew a lot as a person. I also enjoyed having my campus in the heart of downtown san jose, americas 10th biggest city.
Very nice campus and gives the feeling of space in city. However, the paint is chipping from the walls. There are good places to eat nearby because it's literally in the downtown.
(Translated by Google) People a bit unfriendly but it is nice to walk around the place to go to the library (Original) Las personas un poco antipáticas pero es agradable caminar por el lugar ir ala biblioteca
Beautiful
Library is the best. Too many homeless people though...
Good university for Indians, people are so friendly and nice environment for study's especially library ..

This was a very nice campus to walk through. Some of the construction is a bit unsightly and some of the surrounding areas are a bit sketch, so exercise caution, but this campus is really worth taking a look at.
SJSU... I've had too many memories here. Some good, some bad, but overall it was just ok. I'm a little pissed about having to pay for the new SU but not getting a chance to use it before I graduated. I had the cheapest healthcare around but getting a appointment could be a pain during peak seasons.
Event center was great for FIRST robotics competition. Student Union had plenty of food options.
Very good library
School is great, but the parking is horrible and there is always some kind of sexual assault text alerts for this area. It is probably bc it is a open campus. The campus should only be strictly for SJSU students. Also the VTA public bus stops should be shaded bc lots of students wait for bus when it's really hot out in the summer and when it's raining in the winter.
Pay for almost 300 USD to submit application in Msc HFE. The program director send me an nomination letter mention that the decision will be made on the end of March. However, until yesterday 4/24 still no update information from program. Now it is 4/25, it only show denied by dept. without any notification and email. This is the worst experience of application in the USA. Although, I've gotten other universities' admission offer(some of their Q.S rank in 100), I still really angry about the administrated efficient and all the thing about this diploma mill.

Small csu. Everything condensed into a large block. have to be careful at night because it is located next to downtown. Graduated here with BA and MA. Lots of food places located around the school.

Drew me away from pursuing my masters degree. Horrible professors and policies.
So I attended SJSU a while back and I came back to study music. Long story short the school has gotten extremely crowded, to the point where it feels congested just walking around. In addition getting classes is a chore. There's not enough classes and I"m assuming not enough staff to serve the students. From what I've heard from friends the school is even encouraging online classes just to get students to graduate. SJSU has great programs (engineering, business, music, etc) so attend if you want, but be aware of how it is.
Amazing campus
Excellent
"Follow The Yellow Brick!" Author Jimi Little! Fresh! NEW BOOK! Based On Overcoming Obstacles In Black America! A MUST READ!
Parking sucks... no parking after 9 am. Furthermore, more than 32,000 students are enrolled and SJSU cannot handle that many students.
Be careful agents. Don't do any business with the school, their administrative is extremely slow and don't have any knowledge at all. They don't know market and they request to pay tuition before issuing any documentation. Very bad experience with this school.
My school.
The pool sucks dont go it sucks ass
Awesome for Computer Science and Software graduates. One of the Picture I shared is Student Union Ball room (Indian festival Celebration)
San Jose State University is a awesome place with all kind of things to do on your free time and the are places to go all over the place.
a great school.
Campus is continually under construction and spending way too much money on unneeded things, while neglecting actual needs. Professors are fantastic, the school itself? Not so much.
Beautiful campus, always under construction. Heard most of the faculty is lacking with their instruction and helpfulness throughout the college.
One of the best places to study for tech programs. Its a second home. Great location, Lots of Jobs/Internships. Awesome weather too.
Guys I respect San Jose University as it has given a special tribute to Tommie Smith and John Carlos
I have a B.A. from this university. I lived the experience and value the education I received. Go Spartans!
Amazing professors and people.
SJSU is the only CSU with Aviation as a major and that is why I am attending. If you like diversity San Jose is one of the most ethnically diverse cities in the nation, along with the University. On campus housing can be a burden due to expense. Classes are hard to get with the excess number of students attending. Class sizes vary from 20-350 with professors from around the globe (all are smart and knowledgeable but some have trouble speaking English properly and thus conveying information can sometimes be a challenge). A nice small campus in downtown San Jose really give you a city vibe with a somewhat dangerous campus at night. Santa Cruz, San Francisco, and Oakland all within an hour drive, very centrally located with a lot of city activities. Quality education but almost impossible to graduate in just 4 years with packed and limited classes during a given semester.
I went to this school to 1000-1006
Great university with nice professors and wonderful academic life!!!
Great place
Excellent
I am an international freshman. The OFFICE told me that i have an important test(elm ept) on July 14th( no warning of date may be changed). I was told by the OFFICE, they should offer the most official info right? After I booked my flight on July 13th to the U.S. They just suddenly told me I can not take the test on July 14th. NO warning No mentioned that the date may change. They just told me the test on July 14th is canceled. I asked them to pay my loss but they rejected. So the only thing I can do is to watch my $1000( the ticket can not be refund) wasted. And they let me pay $200 for the orientation..... I also see lots of comments that saying how terrible the education is in SJSU, I think I need to choose another University instead of going to SJSU.
Just visited the University as I was in the neighborhood. Very beautiful campus, located conveniently in the heart of San Jose downtown area. Although a public University, I'm sure it must still be very expensive to study here as I figured. However, close proximity to Silicon valley means lots of jobs, which ensures student placement. Overall, should be a great school to go if you're looking to major in Computer Science or related disciplines! Go SJSU Spartans!
Super N1-
Great professors with a marginal administration and also the worst WIFI in silicon valley.

Graduated with a library credential and a master of library information science in 2011. Started off rough with two bad apples of professors. After two semesters, I found my pace and determination with only the best professors carefully selected. I am very grateful for the opportunity and experience there. I was able to change my career because of SJSU.
Worth a visit if you have a day to kill in San Jose
Great campus and cafeteria
More diversed place to study.
Best school for computer science grads
My grandfather used to work for SJSU along time ago
A fine University with wonderful facilities and a long and interesting history. Too vast to cover quickly, just go there and explore. The athletic center, for example is truly world class.

Centrally located school with a great library.
Nice place to join computer masters engineering
Good place to study and to have a walk with someone
SJSU is easy to get to.

Really great school, but it is mostly what you make of it. As a transfer student, I find that the school is interested in helping you succeed and offers a lot of opportunities for you to get involved, get help, and get through. Once you are in your program (can only vouch for Teachers Prep), the teachers are so good and dedicated to helping you move through the class and are pretty centered around helping you learn what you need to for your career. Only trouble I have had with the school was hang-ups at admissions, but after talking to so many different administrative branches and programs at this point (transfer admissions/financial aid/different departments regarding courses and waivers/counseling dept) I really appreciate how easy they are to get ahold of and how willing and effective they are to help you through your issue. Honestly, commuting sucks, but it is really worth it for the quality of education SJSU offers. Plus, the campus is rather pretty with lots of nooks and crannies around campus, is conveniently located, and is heavily connected to its community and the cities around it.
Awesome Place
SJSU is a nice open campus that is located in the middle of downtown San Jose. The library is several stories tall and serves as a university library and public library.
Cute campus, but definitely needs more facilities to accommodate all of it's students. Too many students have issues getting the classes they need to finish in four years.
I've been there last year for some concerts
San Jose state is a diverse well kept university

Decent campus.
Graduated SJSU June 1961 Business & Industrial Management. Competed in gymnastics.
Wonderful campus! There was an event held here in the theatre, it's a wonderful place.
Not a bad place to finish school with.
Best school ever
Summer, the campus is closed. Nothing you can see.
Good
DO NOT GO TO SAN JOSE STATE UNIVERSITY Graduate School for Education !!! They offer majors and and then do not offer the classes you need to complete your degree in a timely manner. If you have a class that has 8 people on a waiting list and they are ready to graduate with everything they need but that class you should give them alternatives. ESPECIALLY if it is a class to prepare them for classes they have already completed successfully!

Engineering major
PROS: -It's small, so you can get around easy. -Grocery Outlet is nearby. -If you're into the whole Tesla/SilVal scam, you may love it here. CONS: -Racist, discriminatory campus alert!! -FOREIGNERS: Do not come to Amerikkka! Everything is harder here, our cities are basically 3rd world. The people are awful. California is the worst. -The employees are your enemy! Do not trust them! -Of 8-9 CA colleges I visited, SJSU is by far the most dangerous, polluted & noisy. The leaf blowers run constantly, even if there's no leaves...poison air at opening time every day. Horrible! These guys are out of control & run leafblowers right next to you with no regard for your space. They even follow you when you move, this happened many times to me. -Wifi often not working. -Construction for months by terrible workers. They start when school opens. They park 8 trucks blocking everything, just to remove a curb they put in before. Tons of violations, not enforced. -One of these construction apes hit-n-run my locked bike, destroying it. Nobody cares, they act like cops. -Traffic is nonstop. Employees constantly drive golf carts all over, all the time, needlessly. Most of them chit chat all day with squawking radios. -Orange Julius blasts party dance music at 7am, so no studying in that area. -Millions of dollars wasted on mowing lawns, beauty bark & landscaping, but only 3 microwaves. -Water fill at Engineering hasn't worked for weeks! Other stuff is also constantly busted. -Campus is in the middle of downtown. Most dangerous campus i ever seen! -Severely overcrowded. If you can even find an outlet, better hang onto it. -They combined the college library with the public library, which is one of the worst ideas ever. 2nd & 3rd floors are run by homeless addicts & beggars. Forget reading, people play music, yell, snore, do drugs in the bathroom etc. Bikes get stolen daily, even though there's cameras & security. -As with most of CA, the employees are lazy & incompetent. They go out of their way to NOT help, with entitled attitude. -The creepy building manager (Ron) of the Student Union called police on me for sitting outside with my bike, not blocking anything...on a holiday...empty campus. He said my bike had to be locked up. Even the cops thought it was stupid. Why does he still have a job? I've seen this guy harass & interrogate many students, obviously racist discrimination. He calls police constantly, wasting their time, but he's immune to punishment himself.
College is what you make it. When I first got to SJSU as an 18 year old I had a lot of growing up to do. Over time, I grew up and I can attest a lot of those experiences to SJSU and my experience there. I came across some of the best friends I've ever made, had a great time, learned a lot, and most importantly, I can look back on it and smile. Since it is a State School, it isn't without it's faults, but every CSU school has some degree of faults. I had about 3 or 4 bad instructors during my time there, which to me isn't much given the amount of classes a college student will take cumlatively. I had far more quality instructors and professors during my time at SJSU. If I had a son or daughter and they wanted to attend to SJSU, I'd send them.
very happy with my experience in taking classes here. The professors I had were passionate about their work and experts in their fields.
I have been going to school here for the past 3 years and I've never had a bad professor or any incident that would give me the impression that this school is anything otherwise. I love how most professors are concerned with their student's ability to pass the class.
Great college
Awsone
It was amazing
good
Dirty classrooms in Mathematics Dept. and terribly organized library.
Impossible to find a parking space anywhere after 8AM. I had to Uber even with the expensive parking permit I bought for the semester m.
My friend went there, good place.
Extremely fantastic place. I loved the atmosphere
So far so good. Nice Campus, and as long as you get advising done in a timely manner and sign up for classes as soon as you can (they give you a date) you should be able to get the classes you need. SJSU wasn't my first choice but I'm glad I came, it's a nice place.
I'm excited to begin college at SJSU! Campus is beautiful!
"You're hearing it first. The 1997 movie, "Flubber" was partly filmed on the campus; including scenes filmed in the Event Center."
Filled with homeless people. I am afraid of touching anything in their public bathrooms. Once I saw cops trying to retrieve the needles that an addict had discarded in one of the bathrooms. I feel bad for the students who have to deal with the large number of homeless people who use this library as their personal recreation area.
SJSU does not care about it's students. You are charged for parking and they dont have any parking. It is very very hard to get the classes that you need for your degree and SJSU dont care. I have about 1 more year to go and I will never look back. Hope this helps someone not fall into the same trap as I did.
Don't listen to others, avoid this school. Paying for one of the most expensive CSU campus's you'd expect at least some sort of effort from the university to help you graduate. When it the complete opposite and put up as many obstacles as possible to prevent graduation.
nice event center
Studied here. Great education.
What course is better ? Software Engineering or Computer Science
Office of Registrar
The schooling is great I am an engineering student and have had some success at SJSU! Professors and some staff are very nice to work with. HOWEVER, that is where it ends. The bureaucratic offices are horrible. Such as Housing at SJSU. Housing sucks! They refuse to aid the student. All complaints are either dealt with and solved in about a month or not at all. The WiFi that I pay for is garbage and hardly works ever, and when it does it’s only at 3am. The food is also not great. I over hear that all the food is local which is completely not true it’s from Sysco and another large food transport. Overall it is definitely not worth the money to live on campus because it SUCKS! I can only speak for CVC and it truly sucks. I’ve had a horrible experience here.
I graduated from San Jose State University in 2012 with a Degree in Art History and Visual Culture. Here is my overall take away from my time spent there. The Good: If you live in the area already, SJSU is pretty convenient. I was lucky enough to live near light trail so the included transit pass was great. Tuition at any university these days is going to be eye watering at best, but taking that into consideration the cost is not as bad as some other CSUs. Education is largely what you make of it, but for the most part the quality of the curriculum and the professors who work at SJSU are pretty high. I can think of only a few classes that were really not up to par out of everything I took there. Facilities in general are pretty decent. Its a crowded school without question but I never felt overwhelmed by it. Now the bad: The administration is painful at times. This become apparent on day 1 when I was placed in the wrong orientation group and forced to sit through seminars on classes I would never take. It continued all the way through the last day when the administration somehow lost track of a PE class I took and tried to tell me I couldn't graduate despite the fact that it was on their own transcript. Overall take away its a decent education if you put the effort in.
