Once Upon a Time, Domincan was where all the CA Catholic School Girls went for college....there was also an impressvie International contingent...Chances were that an aunt, cousin, sister attended the all girl school before. Held in very high esteem and the good Sisters were an impressive lot. The campus was charming, nicely appointed and safe. Time move on and the school went Coed and DC became a semi commuter school.

The student body is very diverse—racially, culturally and age-wise. The professors are dedicated and caring. The campus and surrounding area is beautiful. The library is filled with interesting books—some very old. The cafeteria has tasty food.

I went to Dominican in 1982. Best time of my life. I was able to meet people from all over the world. I still keep in contact with some of them. I learned other languages like Italian, Portuguese, Turkish, French et. al. Thank you Dominican.

Wife went to school here and loved it. We go there on the weekends and play in the grass w the kids or lay out a picnic blanket and relax. Beautiful place.

Dominican is a Beautiful campus and famous school. Generations of Girls - (now it is coed -) have graced the halls of this impressive school. Meadowlands Dorm - the Frosh Dorm at one time- a majestic old mansion was unique. For some: Mothers, aunts, sisters, cousins attended. The Domincan Nuns were great. The campus is Great place for a picnic on Saturday.

Very highly upset because they do not have a emergency evacuation plan. All they do is warn the students that they will be shutting down the school for what ever emergency and leave all the students out on the street to find shelter somewhere else. Especially those who have out of state. Or even a long way from home.
