Great Christian Baptist school that has a warm family feel about it. I did not attend Samford but my daughter does along with my mom, both brothers, uncle, sister-in-law and niece. The professors take a genuine interest in the lives of their students. I am so pleased with the level of education and the wonderful memories my daughter is making at Samford.

Samford is the best place to be! I'm so thankful for the opportunities to grow academically, socially and spiritually. The campus is so pretty. There are many events on and off campus for students. There is always something to do. Things that need to be improved are the cafeteria food and the residents halls. For example: I live in the theta alpha house on campus, also called Treadway Manor. The ceiling is caving in from water damage, residence life has known about this for about two months now, not much has been done.

Some teachers are super nice here, but the administration sucks, if you lucky they will respond to you after a month, otherwise don't even expect a response. and it will take them another month to give you a simple answer. The president is just a figurehead who doesn't even do anything. He doesn't even support formation of a group that foster the discussion of LGBT rights. This ain't the 1950s old man.

Terrible experience. Campus police is racist towards minorities. Since when can police ask you for IDs while walking on campus and detain you? Administration turns blind eye to these practices. I would not recommend anyone with a common sense to go here.

The ice machine was broken, but their paninis and burrito bowls are really tasty. Table service is a little slow, but the waiter was very hospitable. Ask for the pomegranate lemonade!

AVOID. People's mindset here are still in the 50s. The near-by UAB charge you half as much for tuition yet have way better infrastructures and have more tolerance. ZERO diversity here and I'm not talking about race, everyone here is a drone that think alike.
