Very good education system. Professors are second to none and the campus is amazing.The sports teams (Football, baseball, softball, tennis and men and women's basketball) are traditionally very competitive. Also plenty to do in Jacksonville, AL. My, how that place has grown in recent years. Proud alumni here.

Professors aren't too bad, but the price of the education at JSU is absolutely ridiculous! Rates rise every year and this year, since the induction of the new president, costs have been added for various items which should not apply to all students. Seems JSU has turned its attention more towards activities on campus than actual academics. Not all students who attend are there for sororities/fraternities or sports. Some students actually go for the education.

As an Alumna of this school, second generation, I can truthfully say its a quality school. The professors are fair but tough, the campus is gorgeous, and the degree is actually worth something. My step-sister also graduated from this school and my niece currently attends.

Parties at the TMB and the NCO club on Thursday. Yes, Back in the day they threw parties in the TMB.Cookouts behind the Dorms.Sneaking Girls in and out of the Dorm. Waiting to get your financial aid checks, and the only thing to eat late was Subway and Mc Donalds.Wings at Jefferson ' s. Just want to name my people from back then. JSU is truly the "Friendliest Campus in the South". I received both my undergrad and grad degrees from here and it was one of the best decisions of my life to attend school here. JSU fit my personality and was the perfect choice as an education major. I will never forget how helpful everyone was with my disabled parents during my freshmen orientation. My professors were very knowledgeable and cared about us students. Most importantly, JSU is a university that listens to its students. I remember sitting on a committee that discussed what we wanted to see in the food court they were renovating. Every restaurant/ food we suggested was placed in the building. It's little things like that that makes JSU near and dear to my heart. I'm a proud alumni and hope that you will also consider JSU for your education needs.
