I love Auburn but not the Hill housing! I have been sick 8 times in my freshman year; been given 5 z-paks, begged for a different room that was NOT part of the Hill...to no avail and I KNOW I'm not the only one suffering from black mold issues in these old dorm rooms. PLEASE know if you choose to live at the HILL, you need a dehumidifier, Damp Rid, and LOTS of Lysol with bleach cleaner! Your health is at risk if you choose to live on the Hill.

Beautiful campus. The architecture of the buildings is amazing. I love the red brick structures. The trees throughout the campus give the campus greenery and plenty of shade. The football stadium is very impressive, one of the biggest I have seen on a college campus. The town surrounding the school is very cute. There is a lot of open space and the school has a lot of pride. WAR EAGLE.

I don't mean to offend anyone, but I will share my own experience as an international student. The university is average on everything, and there's nothing special about it. I had been going to the administration's office multiple times to get some help for my classes, but they don't care, and refused to help me on every single time. Whatever issues you have in school, keep it for yourself instead of wasting your time talking with one of the students' advisors. This is my last semester here, and I am glad that I got accepted somewhere else.

Auburn 2014-2015 The education at Auburn University is on par with other qualified public institutions but the quality of life here is dismal for cultured individuals. I am a white middle class American (born in Baton rouge, La), and I was disgusted by the racial and cultural retardation that surrounds Auburn students. Greek life has turned this fine institution into a day care for privileged white children who constantly spend their parents money and feel entitled to everything. I wanted to love this school and the education was why I applied here, but after just two semesters I could not take the backward atmosphere that the majority of the Auburn student body creates here. Please consider how this will affect you before choosing Auburn because you can find a quality education elsewhere and you will be so much happier every day you wake up for school. I thought I could just focus on my academics and get by but the loneliness will make you dread everyday here. There is absolutely no life/city outside of the campus so you can not escape the sorority/fraternity influence that has honestly destroyed this otherwise fine school:(

If you're not in Greek life you will be/feel very excluded from a lot of things on campus. I was in a small masters program (completed it May 2016) and felt the faculty was to busy with their other jobs and research that my class was an after thought rarely even getting responses to emails. The campus itself is very beautiful and dining staff was incredibly nice.

This is only a "family" if you're white, rich, southern, and in a Greek organization. If not, expect to be treated as a second class citizen by 90% of the student body. Not to mention the fact that the school is as money-hungry as they come, and you cannot earn a degree here without drowning in debt unless you have extremely wealthy parents. The school is the easily the most conforming place I have ever seen, and if you don't follow all the student body's new fads, expect dirty looks and social exclusion to be a daily part of life. If you're any race other than white, please don't subject yourself to Auburn. The racism here is comparable to that of the 50s. It's sad that this still exists to such an extent. And if you're a guy, don't expect to get dates here unless you drive a lifted truck, large SUV, and are in a respected fraternity. Arguably the most shallow place on the planet.

It's an average university for an average town. There are plenty of universities better than this one all over the country and abroad. It has modest buildings and facilities. Auburn people are proud of their football team, but it hasn't done anything great lately. It's a good university if you plan on staying in this local economy, but if you plan on succeeding in this life you have to go elsewhere. Auburn is average. I'm not writing this to offend anyone. It's the truth.

Very nice, up to date SEC campus with plenty of activities within walking distance that cater to the needs of students. Both a great place to get an education and have a somewhat decent night life. Would definitely recommend to others however I can only give it four stars because it does lack diversity and you can really 'feel' it in some locations.

As an alumni of the engineering school I can say that the challenges you face in your education as well as the research opportunities given will continue to benefit you for years to come. Students that complain about the campus life and people are often the ones who do not go out and better themselves. A friend of mines left @AlabamaUnversity because she felt out of place.The girl's wanted to know who was her parent,what do they work,where do she live & etc...She said she didn't want to explain her parents was divorce and she live with grandparents who was putting her through college.So she left Alabama ,transfer to #AuburnUnversity,she said she never felt so welcome.Everyone on campus super nice.Upon visiting her I was amazed and twenty something years later,we drove back to the campus and it's value are still the same.Yes they need help in the athelete department,but the school is amazing.

Loved the tour of the Football Locker Room, Homecoming Parade, Tiger Walk and Game festivities! I had no idea that the University hosts tours of the locker rooms each week. You can even walk the tunnel that the team uses to enter the field, See National Championship trophy etc! Really fun behind the scenes look at Auburn traditions, and history! Highly recommend!

I am very grateful with Auburn University for the opportunity of being part of their staff. The campus is beautiful, full of colors and clean, and the people is friendly and nice, but of course there are things to improve. Although the University is divided in departments, the paperwork is centralized, and in some cases I felt that some people were overlapping the work of others, but despite the confusion at the beginning, everything went good and now I´m part of the family of this University. Another thing to improve is the equipment and infrastructure in the labs and classrooms. The town is small, but big enough for students (help to be more focus on what is really important, the school).

Not the best school for people of color. Curriculum is great and professors are good, but often times you are the only non-white in your class, no matter how big the class size is. Most of the students are white or white and members of a sorority/fraternity and everyone else is an outsider. It is depressing. Auburn University, please work on accepting more diverse students or students who are not just focused on Greek Life. I mean the majority of your students dress the same way. I recommend UAB or anywhere with more diversity in interests, opinions, and race.

My New England born and bred daughter is a junior at Auburn and a Theta. She is thriving down south both academically and socially. Once you set foot on campus you become part of something so special. Auburn is not just a school, it is your family for life. I love visiting. Nothing beats SEC sports. Football games, the tradition and experience of "Saturdays down south", is like nothing I have ever seen up north. War Eagle!

I graduated from Auburn in 2011. I first moved to Auburn for a job (of all things) and at first I made fun of the "Auburn Family" pride. I texted friends back home in a different state pictures of all the Auburn stuff everywhere thinking it was ridiculous... I thought it was downright silly that every single store in the town had some form of a shrine to Auburn in goods and t-shirts. Every car has a magnet/sticker/license plate (and/or frame), or all of the above. People wear Auburn shirts every day. It is a total way of life. Then after a year I left the job, went to Auburn to finish my degree, and after about 6 months I finally "got it" and realized that the camaraderie you get from attending Auburn and participating in events sponsored by Auburn, it really does create a family feel that lasts long after you leave. I was once in Cambridge, England and a FedEx pilot yelled "War Eagle" to me. He had attended Auburn's flight program and loved it. "War Eagle" becomes a hello between people of the same Auburn Family no matter where you go in the world. I had excellent academic experience, awesome professors, beautiful buildings, good food options, great and helpful staff. One word of warning - Auburn will totally spoil you. I go to graduate school at a small private university now and I really miss Auburn and all the perks of such a huge, diverse, family-oriented university.
