School has a great history and great teachers. There are a variety of majors and future opportunity. However, the crooked people on board slow everything down. The faculty, disregarding the teachers, arent the best at being organized and will easily frustrate you. All in all, you get the H.B.C.U. experience and get a great cultural experience to learn about yourself. Not to mention the BEST band in the land.

This is about SKYCAP-HORRIBLE PROGRAM, TOTAL WASTE OF MONEY. The ONLY thing good about it was the hours of 8-5. They list all of these wonderful classes to choose from only to find out, it's really just one class. They don't even check over any work they give the students. They are just babysitters. Don't send your child here thinking any of those classes are actually being reviewed. It's only babysitting. The art teacher had the nerve to tell my son she doesn’t see potential in him. He’s 11!

The dorm conditions are horrible, CJ Dunn Towers to be more specific. They harass students about money but don’t take care of business and make sure students are living decently. Where is our money going to? Not having hot water and WiFi is inexcusable. I need for staff and administrators to take their job more seriously. Until then I will take my money elsewhere.

Do not come here if you’re in an organization!! Especially to the Life Science building! My daughter and her group got kicked out because they were being “too loud” when other groups in different classrooms were being just as loud or even louder! The women working for the dean in the Life Science building are inconsiderate and tactless. It’s ironic that a school that has “education first” as their slogan kicks kids out who are trying to learn. Please don’t waste your time here. Thanks.

Went to the labor day bowl first time the 2 teams had played in 5 years. Paid $15 for the ticket to get in the game then had to pay for parking on campus every entrance to the university they were taking up money never heard of this. Called to the university on Monday to inquire about the parking fees and the assistant to the president got combative and aggiatated never really got an understanding . I've been to football games at other university never heard of paying to park on campus. IN DISBELIEF!!!

I never thought i would be able to attend college, but once i was enrolled in ASU it was a whole another experience for me. All the faculty and staff were great help in guiding me along the way. Also the university was equipped with the latest technologies and facilities.There is diversity everywhere and no one interferes with anyone. There are also many research opportunities Now i am graduating in 2016 with my biology pre-health degree. ASU has helped me in many ways with my financial issues by providing me with scholarships for all semesters. Now after four years i am in no debts all thanks to ASU. I advise to anyone who is reading this that without a doubt choose ASU. ASU is not one of the best but is THE BEST.

The Rules and Guidelines set by this school ARE completely outrageous. The housing departments staff needs to be revamped. Starting with the “complimentary” apartments for students who were late getting housed. These places are completely filthy. The assistant Director will not check on students nor has any connection in trying to see if students feel safe. They ARE THERE TO GET A PAY CHECK AND GO HOME! THE STAFFING FROM HOUSING , CAFETERIA , to the JANITORS and (some) teachers revolve around money. So too bad for little “Sarah” that has to be in a roach invested apartment that had nothing to do with her or anybody in the living space but MAINLY BECAUSE THE BUILDINGS ARE OLD. These are the conditions ALABAMA STATE SENDS STUDENTS. Also, in the Front office supervisor over one of the facilities buildings does NOT do her job accordingly. From my understanding she’s suppose to be strict on smoking “marijuana in the rooms but when she found out it was a soror she didn’t take any incentive to communicate to the female to stop or room check throughly AT ALL , she has went along with the disrespect of Slamming DOORS! To my knowledge STUDENTS IF YOU WANT A PLACE GET A FRIEND AND COMMUNICATE AND COMMIT TO YOUR KNOWLEDGE OF KNOWING YOU WOULD NOT LIKE TO BE TREATED ANY TYPE OF WAY. PARENTS CHECK YOUR STUDENTS ROOMS AND SEE WHO THEY ARE ROOMING WITH BECAUSE NINE TIMES OUT OF TEN IF YOUR CHILD COMES OUT OF STATE AND DOESNT KNOW WHAT TO DO IN A BAD SITUATION AT LEAST YOU WILL HAVE YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING OF INSTINCT TO KNOW THE PERSON YOUR CHILD HAD TO BE ROOMED WITH. I understand we all have growth but ALABAMA STATE NEEDS MORE THAN THAT. ———P.S They love to manipulate and try to get you counseling when that is just a way to keep you from straying your mind from the REALITY OF A Problem that they won’t solve !
