Best welcome center I have ever been too. Plenty of room to park with multiple lots, a little nature walk and a little bit of a museum inside.
Place was clean, excellent decoration and exhibits. Cannot say the same about some of the racist people who work there..
Very informative rest stop. Great for pets and kids
Awesome rest stop. Possibly the nicest thing in Wyoming. ;)
Great place for info and entertainment with the things to do and display they had for kids and older people
A cute welcome center! Not little by any stretch of the imagination! There's all sorts of displays and plaques inside to read and learn about various pieces of Wyoming history. There's even a jail that you can "lock" yourself in (for pictures of course - look for the slide nearby for kids too!). Glad we stopped. The employees were very friendly too.
I’m so glad I stopped at this Welcome Center. I had never been to a state welcome center like this that had exhibits as if you were in a museum. I was impressed! So much to see so much to read. The exhibits were phenomenal! I will always compare all welcome centers to this one. Thanks Wyoming!
Excellent gateway to the great state of Wyoming. Fast, free, and engaging for all ages. Stop by off Interstate 25 and learn about all that Wyoming has to offer!
Probably the best welcome center I've visited
Nice place, but what earned 5 stars from me is an ENCLOSED dog run! It was so nice to let my dog off his leash, and he could run himself silly!
Lovely rest area windy but nice
Perfect place to stop. A lot to see for free. A great place to start your adventure in Wyoming.
It was fascinating! I had no idea how huge prehistoric creatures could be! The display was spectacular. I would recommend this place even if it was not a super clean rest area.
A welcome resting spot in the middle of nowhere. Cool drinking water clean bathrooms and a mini-museum all-in-one.
One of the nicest welcome centers of any state. Lots to actually see just right here. Take a walk around the center and check out the tourist info stations.
Very fun and interesting place plenty of walking trails with scavenger hunting for all ages I highly recommend visiting this place if your passing by
Probably the nicest welcome center that I have seen... Staff is so friendly and helpful. Free coffee, decals, maps, you name it. And, it's pretty cool too. From the dinosaur..to the camping display..to the old jail, this place is great! Hats off to the state of Wyoming on this one!!
The lady at the welcome center was just that welcoming awesome person to meet! Clean restrooms, coffee made, etc
Lots of maps and pamphlets for a trip. Helpful people. Very nice, clean restrooms.
Nicest rest area I have ever seen.
Love love love stopping here!!! Great views, information aplenty, helpful staff, and great walking trails. A must to stop at it!
This has to be one of the best state welcome centers. Clean. Great displays.
What an amazing Welcome center, friendly knowledgeable staff willing to help. Clean bathrooms and amazing building almost felt like a museum.
One of the most well kept stops on our trip. Kiddo loved the extra things to look at while we stopped and stretched.
Typical Visitor Center....But with dinosaur bones and displays! very unique. Lots of local and state information.
You have to stop here this place is one of a kind.so much to see, clean well staffed ,one of the nicest rest stops I have been to,and I have been to alot.

Beautiful facility, fun little stop for the whole family! Most importantly, the staff is top notch!
Just loved it, very nice, staff were friendly by all means would go again!
Not only the cleanest and nicest Welcome Center I've ever been to, but also very informative - with several small historical exhibits as well as exceptional brochures, maps, and other informative reading! A perfect place to stop for a rest. A good outside pet area, too!
The state of Wyoming has outdone itself. This is one of the most interesting welcome centers I have ever visited. Super clean bathrooms and a quick and dirty history lesson including lots of fossils and artifacts.
Neat place to visit- great site for kids.
Great stop with kids as you come through state. The kids have lots to look at and interactive displays
What a nice new Welcome Center with fun activities for kids and photo ops. No gift shop though! Love the giant mammoth skeleton!
Probably the best State Welcome Center on the US interstate system. Fossils, maps, history ... clean & safe. A must visit jail cell with Butch Cassidy ... bring the camera. Must see for the kids. I ALWAYS stop.
This State Visitors Center is beautiful. Great for adults and kids. Lots to interactive displays. No matter what part of WY you will be headed, they have the information and maps to help. Make sure to make the stop! Clean bathrooms.
Surprising treat for a rest stop. Definitely worth the stop if your going this way.
Clean area ,lots of parking, nature trail great photo options.... watch out for the groung hogs AKA SQUEEKS there pritty bold.
The welcome center is among the coolest welcome centers I stopped at during my roadtrip. The bathroom were nice and clean which is always appreciated when you are on the road. The information center has a really nice exhibit of a mammoth's skeleton and the wild wild west. There are some other smaller displays of outdoor equipments. The kids I saw at the welcome center appeared to be having a great time so it is definitely a place to stop if you have kids. They also offer free coffee, so that's a good reason to stop and stretch your legs.
This Welcome Center is legit. I've been to a few of them and this one is like a mini museum with a lot to see. They have nice outdoor picnic tables, walking trails, dog park and plenty of educational reading.
Finaly got to do a lunch break here while the place was open, (flatbed trucker) and it is really neat! Little museum with some local history and such. Very clean kept and free. I will be back! :)
Great place to stop and clean. The grounds are kept very well by diligent maintenance workers. RV sanitary and potable water makes this a great spot for trucks and RVers.
Wyoming does a great service to travelers with clean, comfortable rest areas statewide.
This welcomed me center was a nice break from the road. Has a decent dog park area to let the animals stretch their legs as well. Inside had some decent coffee alot of info about the state and enough stuff to keep the kids entertained and tell them about the area as well.
Fantastic place to stop. Hot tea and coffee at front desk. knowledgeable personnel to answer geography. Even some fossils especially in the parking lot. Best bathrooms. Clean and big.
Interesting stop. Quick and easy on and off the freeway.
Very bright, new, and clean. Great place to stop!
Clean, quiet perfectly maintained in and out. Pathways will let you walk and stretch, the exposition will educate you, love the place.
This is the second time I stopped at this location the first time was late at night the second time was during the day which was really good. I did not realize that they had all types of cool stuff in there during the day. My son was pretty happy and wanted to run around in the slide in the jail cell. If you stop by there go during the day just a little bit more interesting.
Helpful information and cool place to stop and stretch you legs.
Nice facilities. Full of trucks at night.
This is the best rest stop that I have ever seen.....possibly the best in the country. Absolutely amazing!
Great place. Beautifully designed. Got maps and routes on how to get there. The information attendant was great!
This is an awesome Welcome Center. Fun museum and activities for the kiddos. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Restrooms were cleab. We were going to just drive straight through I-25 to Billings and a staff member suggested we drive through Thermopolis. So glad we did! A hidden gem and we had time to go to the hot springs and swim. It was awesome!!
Awesome!! Love the dog play area fenced and safe yo let them run loose and play fetch. The restrooms are clean, and displays show very interesting history. Recommend got families for sure. True to wyoming.
Very nice and always very clean! And it has a free RV dump station.
One of best welcome centers on our trip to idaho. Welcome centers are disappearing but this one was nice.
I have traveled much of the USA but this was one of the neatest travel centers I have had the pleasure to visit...very clean and a good presentation of Wyoming history....
This has to be the coolest Welcome center in any state I've ever driven through.
Always love to stop there on my way in to Cheyenne. It's always so clean and well cared for.
Great place to take a break. Lots to wander around.
Gorgeous architecture, help desk, tickets, state maps in the floor, and oh, the sculptures are incredible!!
On our way to South Dakota, we've never stopped here before. "Grab a flag, drink some coffee, snap some pics, pick up some maps and information guides. It's all complimentary, folks, and we've got like 10,000 more in the basement so grab a bunch!" 8-) Definitely will have to swing by again and spend more time.
The kids had so much fun.
Very cool visitor center! Lots of interesting and interactive exhibits about Wyoming. Definitely worth the stop!
Best welcome center I've ever seen. After that, you don't even need to drive the state.
First time to Wyoming. Welcome center very clean, all kinds of interesting facts. Ladies working there very helpful
Nice introduction to Wyoming history and attractions. They have several displays including a skeletal mammoth. Clean restrooms, but only one vending machine.
It was peaceful and down home comfortable feeling.
Blown away at this welcome center. It's a rest stop and museum all in one! You can even do guided trail walks. It's one of the most unique I've seen.
We loved this place. Be sure to stop at all the Wyoming Welcome Centers! Children in your party will find them exciting but so did this 75 year old!
Great place to stop. Local history is very well presented. Air conditioned. No charge. Spotless bathrooms. Cool to see the generators and solar power providing energy to the site
One of the nicest reststops I have ever stopped at in the country! There is a great cowboy history section, several fossils, very clean bathroom, lots of local information and very helpful staff. Only negative, if any of those hazmat trains overturn its lights out for everyone in the building.
Amazing!! Free potable water, free dump site, super clean, great picnic areas with wind blocks and fantastic mini museum!!!
Really cool place as far as visitors center how's. Having boat inspections and an RV dump site was really convenient
Probably the best rest stop/welcome center I've ever been in.
So glad we stopped. What a gorgeous way to start your trip through Wyoming.
This is one of the nicest welcome centers I have seen...there is a RV dumpstation, which should be at all welcome centers in the rest of the country.
Most welcome centers are just a restroom and some tourist brochures. Here they actually have some fun and interesting things. That mammoth skeleton in the picture is actually there. I'll stop by again next time I'm through the area.
Very clean, had some cute things for the kids to pose by. A jail and a mammoth skelton
The entire center is well thought out, displays informational and attractive, interactive. Beautiful views from every direction. Friendly knowledgeable staff. A must-see stop.
Stayed the night in the RV. Fairly quiet but limited slots for truckers and RVs so stop early. Welcoming center has coffee in the morning and bathrooms are clean.
Oh my, this place is FABULOUS!! A must visit on your journey to Wyoming! Great Wyoming history, beautiful exhibits, clean restrooms, stocked vending machines, guides to absolutely anything you may want to do while you're visiting this fine state. You'll be happy you stopped by.
Absolutely amazing visitor center. I was totally impressed.
Great place to stop rest and empty holding tanks before returning to Colorado
I had to stop by here and get a picture. Wyoming was the last date I needed and now I have been in all 48 continental United States at some point in my life. Still need Alaska and Hawaii. Loved Wyoming and this was an amazing rest area. A lot of history information, brochures on what to do in the area. Very clean
Great free place to stop and stretch or take a stroll. Very good displays and information inside and big restrooms. Easy on and off the highway. Kind of no reason not to stop.
Very nice facility and museum, worth spending the time
This was a total surprise....a very interesting welcome center with the skeleton of a huge Mammoth, as well as many other interesting exhibits.
This is by far the most amazing visitor's Center! I wish we had one like this in Texas.
Great place to take a break on your roadtrip. Cool stuff for the kids to see and lots of information to pick up.
An amazing welcome center! Staff was friendly and so knowledgeable. So much rich history and the way they set it up it made it so interesting.
Excellent source of information for visitors and staff was very friendly and outgoing
Loved it! Explains all about Wyoming history and current Wyoming life! Not just another information center; it's more like a museum. Allow for at least a half hour if you want to see everything.
This place has everything! The grounds are beautiful and meaningful. Native plants were used to show the natural beauty of Wyoming. The architecture of the building is gorgeous. Inside the building is so inviting and a great learning experience.
Best rest stop I have ever seen.
This is my first time in Wyoming and this welcome center is awesome. They had coffee and a lot of cool things to see. It was like a little museum. This is a good place to stop and rest.
Really cool! I'm from Wyoming and didn't realize this was much more than just a rest stop. Lots of great tourism information. There was actually a lady on site that you could ask questions. Also, lots of information about Wyoming.
Very nice rest stop and welcome center. Went in for a place to go to the bathroom and ended up spending a decent amount of time. It's like a mini museum with a bunch of exhibits about Wyoming. Some things for the kids to do like scavenger hunts and a fake jail you can take a.picture inside of and crawl through a crack and go down a slide.
One of the best rest stops I've visited as a over the road truck driver. It's very nice to find this on the road.
This is a beautiful welcome center! We love the grounds - there are trails to wall on - and the welcome center exhibit is really cute/fun for a leg stretch too. We overnighted in our RV here and there is even an RV dump. Thanks for having us!
This was a fun stop the attendant was most helpful
Great rest stop! Lots of awesome things to look at and the restrooms were very clean.
Might be the coolest welcome center I have been to! Clean facilities and lots of info!
A very nice interpretive place to see what Wyoming has to offer and to refresh ones self.
Very clean, easy to get to. I liked the environmental efforts at the facility. I also appreciate the dump station for RV. Really sets an example for other states to follow.
Very clean. A nice place to take a break.
Very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff was very professional and helpful
Top notch welcome center with lots of information, spacious bathrooms, and stuff to look at. Recommended to pass by if your heading into Wyoming. We might look empty but there is a lot to do here.
They was free maps, it was very quiet, and I no issues during my visit and the building design was AMAZING, also it helped alot during my trip to Wyoming. When you enter and all over the building are really interesting facts about the history of the state.
Wonderful visitors center with museum like displays of the states history and things to do.
So surprised to learn so much on a bathroom break, very impressive
Slept overnight on my way to Alaska. Clean, educational, friendliest rest area I've ever experienced in my travels of the US. Taps outside of potable water, but they were still off for the winter when I was there in late April. Had free coffee, postcards, amd stickers in the museum.
Worthwhile stop which is probably overlooked frequently by busy cross-country travelers.
Ultra-friendly answer enthusiastic welcome from the staff. Small museum, very well done. Absolutely no food and drink on sale, but sometimes free tea and coffee if they know people are coming.
More than a rest area. Great info and museum type exhibits. Clean and safe
Great exhibits. Interactive for kids. Great place to stretch our legs for 15 minutes on our road trip.
Brst bisitor center ever It's seened this would be an attraction in itself. It Fun interactions between the building set up and young and old visitors.
This is very cool! Not your regular potty stop lol. Fun stuff for the kids to do too!
Well maintained. Nice large building where you can get maps and brochures . Large parking areas. Dump station for rvs.
nice people attending& and good place for some pictures
Really like this design. Easy parking. Quiet overnight car, truck and RV parking. Limited parking spaces.
Clean and well stocked. Several toilets available with adequate privacy and filled vending machines. They even had baggies if you had to walk/potty your pups!
Super neat place. Lots of really neat things to explore. I like how there are things for the kids to play too. Our favorite part though was probably the Google Earth computer! Bathrooms were clean and we'll stock, really everything was clean!
It's a nice welcome Center my kids loved the slide and cell. It's a nice little museum
This was easily the COOLEST Visitor Center I've ever seen! It's actually more like a Museum. The Attendant was a great Ambassador for the state of Wyoming. Any tourist traveling I-25 into Wyoming should definitely visit, plus there's free Coffee too! (you won't be sorry!)
The ladies there were very helpful. And offered alot of info. Great stop.
Very nice place to stop. Clean bathrooms. Fun little area for kids to play.
Very nice welcome center. Free dump station.
Clean restrooms, nice stop while traveling to let kids look at something different.
Althea, one of the employees at the welcome center, was EXTREMELY helpful and kind. She spend a long time ensuring that I had all of the information I needed on the state, and encouraged any further questions. She’s very knowledgeable about the state of Wyoming, and a great conversationalist. She made my experience at the welcome center memorable, and hands down made it the most welcoming welcome center I’ve been to. Thanks Althea!!
This is the best visitor center I have ever visited. Amazing exhibits & abundant information. Exceptional facilities.
Let's be honest...in this part of Wyoming, it is unwise to stop and pee along the side of the road. The wind will make you regret it. The better option is to hold it until you get here. Lots of parking, clean restrooms, nearly unbroken views, and you get to pee indoors.
Very nice stop with all kinds of free brochures and maps. Also a friendly gentlemen at the desk to help out travelers with their questions. Very impressive!
The little museum here is great. And the service was friendly. Free coffee and free stickers too! (What can I say, we're easy to please... Lol).
Great stop. Friendly staff inside and very helpful and informative. This welcome center also has a dump station and potable water. Also boat, kayak and canoe inspection site.
This place is amazing. Rhey have lots of info on where ever you need to go in wyoming. Plus the museum is really cool to go thru lots of exhibits. If your comming from out of state and need a rest and info thus us were you need to be, but only if your on I-25
Nice and clean rest area, they have some truck parking.
