Wonderful place to stay to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. The Homestead was very clean and spacious. We enjoyed watching sunsets on the screened-in patio in the shade of two huge walnut trees. Took a meandering drive on country roads and enjoyed the scenic beauty of the area. Very relaxing and peaceful. This was like walking into another world for us, and a great weekend escape from our busy lives. We will be bringing our fishing poles next time!

Four guys were in the driftless fly fishing and discovered this location. We will be going back. The accommodations were great, economical, and the setting in this rural, 5th generation farm was amazing with horses, cows, goats and all. The owners were the nicest people and the location was easy to find -- just a few miles north of Fennimore. Eddie Curley

Stayed in the "lodge" part Pros: - great common areas - nice porch and bbq grill - friendly and helpful owners - good wifi - multiple bathrooms Cons: - tv in main area a bit old - a/c in upper room kind of weak - some animal smell (but not too bad, considering it's on a farm)

We stayed at the Driftless Lodge this past weekend for an extended UTV Riding experience. It was awesome to sit out under the stars again with no city lights interrupting the view of the star lit skies By staying here, we were able to see the many miles of beautiful roads in Grant, Richland and Crawford County on our UTV's. We easily got to the Mississippi River and across the Wisconsin River. It would be a beautiful way to ride in the fall. Every evening we came back to take showers, everyone had hot water. (with 14 people, that is truly awesome) Sherri and Jason are awesome host. We had lots of room for cooking and socializing.

We had a great time here we stayed in the den and it was awesome it was peaceful and quiet and the owners brought us fresh eggs we will definitely stay there again everyone is so nice and helpful I wish we would have found this place sooner

I stayed at the Driftless Lodge for an extended time due to a work obligation in the area. Sherri and her husband went above and beyond to accommodate everything that I needed. All of her properties were clean and well maintained. It was calming and relaxing to come from work and enjoy the scenery. I would recommend the Driftless Lodge to anyone looking for a quick getaway or extended stay. You won't be sorry.

We were booked to stay at this facility during Apple Days in Gays Mills Wisconsin. We found out one day before we were supposed to leave that the entire town was under water. When I tried to cancel my reservation, the owners said too bad. They wouldn't even let us reschedule without recharging us. They have a horrible policy. They took our money because she said we didn't tell her that we were coming up for Apple Days and that we could do something else. Also the hotel in town where several of my family members were supposed to stay called my family members and told them not to come up because the conditions were dangerous. This was an act of God and these people would not even refund one cent of our money. DO NOT book with these people. They are greedy and money hungry !

This was the perfect location for us to stay for our son's wedding. The wedding venue was close and the homestead had lots of room for our family. Sherri was super to work with! I highly recommend the Driftless Lodge!

Everything was awesome, except the air conditioning is not in the bedrooms (wall unit in living room/attic), so the rooms were rather warm at night. Normally we'd open windows, but we happened to come during a heat wave, and it was still pretty hot outside at night. Aside from this uncontrollable issue, it was exactly what we needed for a great weekend!

Unique place to stay, right on a farm with animals all around (goats, horses, cows) - we had 4 couples with total of 8 kids there and had fun and plenty of space. Not super kid friendly indoors or outdoors (lots of stairs inside, not a lot of grass to play on outside and you walk out onto a driveway basically) so if you bring little kids plan accordingly (baby gates, indoor games to keep them occupied, etc). The deck worked as a nice fenced in “play pen” for the kids during the day :) Sherri was gracious and welcoming, took the kids on a 4 wheeler ride, if we stay in the area again we will stay there for sure!
