Amazing Place! I used to bring groups of students down here on trips, now I come down with friends. I have participated in whitewater rafting, ziplining, and their timbertrek adventure. All of them are amazingly fun and expertly led. Will definitely be back again.

Can be loud at night due to other campers and concerts but the bathrooms are fairly nice

I went on a trip almost twenty years ago, with a friend. It was a lifetime experience. We went in May, so the rivers were running high, fast and cold from the mountain spring thaw. Just the way I like it. The New River was closed due to dangerous conditions. We rafted the Gaully River insteaf. This was my first time in class VI rapids. I have rafted in class III and IV many times on the "Yo". The guides were incredible. Everybody in the raft was working non-stop. Later, when we had dinner at the lodge, we watched a video taken of our river adventure. It was a magnificent experience that I often dream of doing again.

Class VI doesn't really exist anymore since it was absorbed by Adventures on the Gorge. Great place overall. Wing night and live music on Mondays.

Amazing place and the best raft guides and facilities around Beckley, WV. The raft guides are very prepared, experienced, and friendly. We were served a good lunch on the river. Also 2 very nice restaurants at the resort. We stayed in a cabin that was beautiful. In the woods, with a heated floor and a hot tub on the front porch! Love Class VI !!!

Great staff, the timber trek course is amazing. Super supportive guides handled everything, and our 20 students had a blast despite a big rainstorm. 10/10 would recommend!

I have only been white water rafting one time so I can't "compare" Class VI to anyone else. However, I CAN say that I had an absolute blast and our guide made it even better. BTW, John Pinnette fans, he is WRONG! White water rafting IS fun, no lying required! :-)

The facility is beautiful and there is plenty for the entire family to stay occupied. Some of the other guests were a bit to rowdy for a family crowd but it looked like a football draft was going on so, understandable. The staff in the sales shops could be a bit more welcoming as well. BUT the location and activities is what you are there for and they are AMAZING!

We (5 of us) spent the day on September 15th here. We took a half day trip down the lower New River. This is our second trip in about a month to this place. The staff is super friendly, helpful, focused on safety. We had two people with us that has never been whitewater rafting before. They had been on rivers in canoes but not whitewater. It was a great day on the river. The weather was great. There were several other boats in our group and everyone was super nice and friendly. The trip consisted of us having lunch along the river. The food was great as usual. It was a great social time among everyone. Once lunch was done and packed up, we continued down the river for more excitement. The boats and staff interacted with each other which made for a great day. The staff always made sure they put safety first. The day ran smoothly. We will be back again. We are considering a Gauley trip next. The trip before we did this one was to take our youngest child and her friends down the upper new. That trip was their first. They loved that trip. My step daughter and her boyfriend enjoyed this trip as well. See you soon AOTG.
