Here you will see all the reviews of real people who use the products of Microsoft Visitor Center (Travel Agency) near Washington.
At the moment the business has a score of 4.4 stars over 5 and the score has been calculated on 601 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an feddbacks average is very good, and it is founded on a high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the score is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to write scores when they are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Travel Agency is included in the category of Visitor center.
The store has lots of cool MS gear and the demo area is fun to mess around in.
Too Good. Lot of Microsoft promotional items available. Quality of product is good. Well maintained.
It's a cool visitor center where you can check out the best products out on the market from Microsoft. You can also buy their swag. However it's pretty small and doesn't really offer a big glimpse into the history of Microsoft or their founders (though there is an interactive history in photos).
Nice place to visit. The store sells several different items such as tshirts, magnets, caps etc with Microsoft product branding. There's also a nice photo of the initial staff of Microsoft and a brief summary of their careers since then. There are a few cool gadgets to play around with as well.
Nice place for visitors to see the history of computing and try latest microsoft tech.
Love this place. Every time friends and family coming over I am taking them there.
If you ever come to Redmond, the Microsoft campus is a must place to visit and the store has great stuff for gamers, geeks, fans, or the average Joe
The dumb windows 10 auto update sucks. Can you let users decide what to update instead of forcing them to auto update all? My old Nvidia display driver is working very well, then why does windows 10 auto update it to a silly new version that is so buggy and slow on gamming? (By default, it is ok to Auto update for regular users who do even care, but can we allow to choose " not allowed updated" for advanced users?)
Located in the same building where a sign touts that Xbox Research happens, a visitor already feels like they are walking into something distinctly Microsoft. The Visitors Center is a tidy but surprisingly small area that offers a quick rundown of Microsoft's history so quick that it feels like a Cliffs Notes version. There is a heavy emphasis on Xbox here as well. Across the aisle is the Company Store that is also open to the public, although you can gather the main purpose of the visitor's center is to sell and promote as the store is over half the size of the actual visitor's area in comparison. Still, a good time - and one at no charge for admission - but it could be so much more.
Awesome.. being in Microsoft.. all the ages we use this interface and now inside it . wow. the place is very nicely maintaines.. campus cafe area and all perfect for people to generate some creative ideas.
Small visitor center with limited things to see. Some neat interactive ones. Not too much excitement. Nice staff. There's a shop with things to buy, but they're mostly made in China stuff with logos or text. Judging by the visitor …
Pretty cool place for anyone that likes tech, store is very small
It is fantastic that the company allows the general public to walk in and visit the museum right on Microsoft campus. Microsoft is a major part of technology history and now anyone can experience not only the museum, but a little bit of what life feels like on campus.
Nothing special here. The "museum" isn't that impressive, but its worth a stop if you're already here. The Microsoft store in your local mall will have more current technology.
There is no fee to come in and it is family friendly. Prices on Microsoft items are high and there is a secure shopping are for employees only. There are a few good places to take pictures.
Beautiful hi-tech visitor center, covering part of 1st floor, w/display of latest MS products. A MS store w/ gift shop.
The visitor center takes you down the memory lane and into what cutting edge. Really wonderful experience.
Very informative, fun place. Lot of visitor interactive stuff. Also, don't forge to see their store, they have great collection for everyone. & it's FREE..
Interesting. Lots of hands on. Inspiring for the young computer scientist of the future.
Cozy place with free beverages. Great weekend escape from everything and everybody else. Books for you to kill the time and computers for you to surf the internet. Bored? Head out for a trail run!
Absolutely loved our time here. Great experience for the whole family.
Was invited to a conference through a Dyslexia group to discuss assistive technology. Teachers, parents and children attended. It was very nice for Mircosoft to host, but there were a couple things amiss. I found it odd that two different presenters made a point of telling their visitors how lucky we were to be at the Microsoft campus. It came off quite arrogant and pompous. They then offered limited snacks (not enough for the size of crowd attending) and then openly shamed parents for taking too many. I wasn't there for snacks and didn't partake in them, but found it odd that Microsoft made it such a big deal. Either graciously offer the snacks and make sure you have enough for your guests or don't offer them at all...but don't shame them. They also offered school supplies to the children there, but again, used a shaming platform and said "If you're not in need (what does that even mean in this scenario?) then please don't take them. How would the children or adults be able to decipher if they are in need or not? It's back to school time and kids "need" school supplies. These people were your guests and you treated them like they should walk on eggshells. If you're going to offer something, be prepared to accommodate those you invite and have enough for those invited. Don't put ambiguous stipulations on what's meant to be a gift and make people feel uncomfortable. However, Microsoft had no problem showing us their store and making sure we were in the market to spend money there. You can do better, Microsoft.
Nicely designed, informative and fun exhibit. Good place to a look at the latest from Microsoft. Also has a gift shop with Microsoft merchandise.
Very cool, interactive visitor center. Good sized Microsoft gift store as well.
Very disappointed in the Visitors Center. You would think a company and technology leader would have more to display than just a Minecraft playing terminal. You would think they would demo some of the up and coming tech they are working on or at the least a out of the norm history of some of the company's major contributions to the industry. The only thing I could say was the campus was nice to see and well kept but just anti climatic.
Microsoft store in 92 is a great place to experience MS products.
The museum is really cool and it makes a nice day trip if you are a geek.
I've dreamed of working at Microsoft for years but have never visited. I'm training in User Experience design. I used the makeup- face-something app station, the computer kept crashing and giving me a error message.... which caused me to move on quickly to the next display. Also, the paint station, the pens were not working on the screen at all, I even heard some employees trying it and saying, "This pen sucks!". The app was also boring, there were not many options to be creative, even as a sample. I didn't get a clear understanding of what you even use the app for. Microsoft,.... this is embarrassing.... in your own campus, your own computers are crashing? How many coders have you hired on campus? The company lacks a great user experience. The coder to designer ratio should be equal at least. The usability of a product is EXTREMELY important. We live in a generation where people are busy and impatient, no one will wait for your mistakes....
This is an amazing part, of an amazing campus, that is full of amazing, friendly people! A great, must-see, place to visit.
Waited in line for so long and finally I was the next person to try the AR demo. It turned out the staff came and told me he was not able to do the demo for me since it’s close to 7:00 pm. Obviously he should have told me the line was close as soon as I joined the line in the beginning instead of wasting my time.
Good for desktop ( i.e. personal computing) history buffs. I guess every PC company, hardware or software, needs one.
Great place for gamers or kids
It is free and they let you try all the toys. Not a huge visitor area and can be done in 1 hour if you are into tech and games. It is a huge campus, the visitor center is building 92, and number is still going up when I was leaving the campus.
If you like tech and are going to Redmond Washington, this is the place to be.
Lots of great history here and a great layout. If you need to visit Microsoft or just want to, you won't be disappointed.
First it took 35 min to find a parking spot, then the experience is lowest common denominator, Xbox, Windows etc.. lets see history or cutting edge side of Microsoft... The store was even worse, I was accosted by a security guard, I walked across an inviable line...
Good luck finding parking. Cool stuff in the Microsoft store.
The Microsoft Visitors Center is TOTALLY worth a visit if you're ever outside of Seattle! The gift shop has tons of unique geek swag at very reasonable prices. I kept hoping I could sneak into the "employee only" section of the store, but I wasn't ninja enough :(
Not much exciting things to see. They sell something you don’t really want to buy. The software and Xbox game are only limited to their employees to buy. Oh, do I mention that there is a lady guarding the gate to the software shop, who is not friendly at all.
Needs more hands on (rather than xbox) and wishlist would be bring able to try VR
Nice place to visit.
Great food, selection, and price.
Great for us Kid-adult. I think us adults had more fun then my kids. Definitely bring the family here. You can spend a lot of time laughing and giggling in this place.
Have to agree with the other reviews. Not much to see, wouldn't recommend a special trip. The centre was closed for private function, so only shop was accessible.
Such great history. The tour guides were wonderful. Great to be here.
Features the Microsoft 'Welcome Center' - provides a look at the history of Microsoft, as well as a selection of current/developmental products. Has a coffee shop. Has restrooms available for guests. Easy access to on-campus shopping, bus line, and food court.
Pretty interesting walk-through, self-guided tour. There's a bit on the history of Microsoft, their current goals and innovations, and new technologies and products that you can test out.
Good place to check out cool Microsoft technology and get some info on the company.
Less exhibit and more arcade. My young tech geek was disappointed there weren’t people to speak nerd with. If you want to play xbox or test out VR then this place is for you. Also, the under 13 year old crowd is limited in participation. Otherwise there really isn’t much to do.
Having a great time at TAKE YOUR KID TO WORK DAY 2017
Nice place where you can try Microsoft products. The place is not that big. Their gift shop is great too, and the prices are not too bad. It looks nice inside the visitor center.
Basically a giant Microsoft store. There are no exclusive items or prices, so it's cool just to visit the campus, but I couldn't find much attraction beyond that...
Excellent place to know something about Microsoft history, is very small but if you have kids they can get some time there playing with the hardware that's inside the center.
Good place to get to know about Microsoft and the devices. Also to visit the company store to get some souvenirs
My younger kids under 13 were not allowed to play the fun games, a little disappointed for them so they ended up just playing minecraft on the computer. Parking might be hard to get. They have microsoft t-shirts for about $18 each.
A nice place to go if you're interested in anything about Microsoft or if you want to buy some Microsoft branded stuff. They have an exhibit of all the current Microsoft products and you can generally experience everything on offer. It also …
Awesome place with tons of tech. When you visit, you must try out the $30k gaming setup and the $80k motorcycle
Really neat inside. It is free and there is plenty to play with and learn about the history of the company and various tech topics.
Cool stuff to see, makes you feel real old when you recognise the really old stuff and remember using them
Cool place. Hard to skip when on trip to Seattle. But VERY expensive. Tip : do not buy pens they have on sale for 3$ just get one for free at the reception desk :)
Amazing Microsoft
Great Company store. The history part for me is the much more interesting one!
Everytime something new, come and see
First it took 35 mom to find a parking spot, then the experience is lowest common denominator, weekend cares about Xbox etc.. let so see re as l history or cutting edge side of Microsoft...
Microsoft campus is the best campus on earth. Must see: - Microsoft Treehouse - Fountain - Waterfall - Lake Bill - Cafe 16 - Microsoft Visitor center
It was fun checking out the technology, apps and games on display. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. There were some renovations happening that made things a little confusing when going to the visitor store, but otherwise it was a good time.
Great place to see Microsoft history and current innovation. Must visit if you are in town.
Visiting the campus will give you a whole new perspective/appreciation for Microsoft. It's worth making a trip if you have any interest in the tech industry.
I love the place! There's free coffee, Xbox One X tryouts, a face identification thing, and muuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuch more!!!!!!!
Smaller than expected. Not much to see except merchandises. I was hoping to see more of its history, former OS Win 3.1 ... etc on display \(^o^)/
Great place! I think that as the world leader in multiple area's the place has a lot to improve upon. If I'm coming here to learn or to show off the compamy I would like alot more.
The visitor center is a very entertaining place with live talks as well as the company store.
Anyone can visit the visitor center anytime. They have parking available for visitors although this can be a challenge if you visit during busy hours. The visitor center involves a display of most of their products. My favourite part was the store that had branded items. You need to dedicate at least 2 hours if you want to test and use most of their products and still shop at the store the lines can be long. Make sure you carry an ID or a passport it is required upon entry.
Always a cool place to check out, especially the museum. Company store has some cool stuff as well.
Our 2 young friends and junior from school (which is over 14000 miles away Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans School, Baroda, Gujarat, India) took pride to show us around this inspirational visitor center of Microsoft which has been the hallmark of worldwide transformation of how people viewed computers before 1990's and the entire world has gone digital. We really felt proud that lots of our alma mater students now work here for Microsoft or have worked at Msft at some point in time in their career.
Super cool stuff in here. The holo lens, the racing simulator and the Xbox stations, I would say, are the highlights of this place. Just don't expect to get a sneak peek into the Microsoft world cos this is more of a Microsoft store than a corporate office. All in all, a good place to chill at if you're on the way to Redmond anyway, but I wouldn't recommend driving all the way just for this.
Nice place to walk around

Great friendly people - allowed us to take as many photos as we wanted
Nothing special here just a bunch of not working surfaces and xboxes. Ready for not finding a parking spot. No sign to say it is a visitor center.
They are under maintain now, not much can see
So there is a Microsoft Store at this location now so there is a fair bit to do. I got to try the hololens as well as a while bunch of other Microsoft products. The store has a good assortment of Microsoft themed clothing and other promo type items. It is a bit pricey bit reasonable. The visitor center has a bunch of different exhibits but is a bit bare. There is room to grow so hopefully they keep adding to it.
The Misrcosoft Company and Store are situated on a large acreage covering block after block of the Remond - Overlake neighborhood. It is an incredibly attractive place, with beautiful landscaping and water features, sports fields, and walking trails. The strongly employees are strongly incentivized to bike, or use public or corporate transit. Microsoft runs their own fleet of buses, vans, and cars to shuttle folks from carpool lots to most any building or facility scattered around the greater Seattle area. The Compnay Store offers all kinds of clothing, office materials needs, books, and a limited amount of hardware. Only with a company employee can you enter the area where software and hardware sold at cost.Don't miss the computer museum directly across the Company Store.
A public portal into a mostly closed organization. A small computing museum and a company store are open to the public. Worth the trip to pick up fairly affordable Microsoft logo clothing of various types. Lots of interesting nick knacks for the home or office.
The Microsoft visitor center is pretty cool. It's inside the building with their store and there's plenty of parking out front. The center itself is a walk through history of Microsoft with interactive displays and photos, Xbox and virtual reality. It's a short walk through, but very neat. Across from that exhibit is the Microsoft visitor store. They sell clothes, cups, games, figurines from games, sounders fc merch, office things, etc etc.. It's a great little store and I'm sure you'll find something. Next to the store they have a coffee place with snacks and such. Overall, this was a cool trip, but don't plan to be there too much time. It's a short experience.
A great interactive place that's great for events. You can test Xbox games, take a new LinkedIn profile picture, explore the history of Microsoft and more.
Disappointingly small but maybe that's because it was under construction.
The Microsoft Visitor center is an excellent place to Take non-techies, and possibly even a date. You can play with all the latest Microsoft games and gadgets. Not really a tourist spot, but it is a nice place to take friends and family to get an understanding of the IT industry in general.
The visitor center is ok. It's pretty much a Microsoft store with some added information about the history of the company. But nothing really fancy. It's more interesting to actually walk the give campus here. You probably run into some Nerds here as well. But still grateful they offer a way to play with their toys here. There is also a company store where you can by branded merchandise. A must for Microsoft fans.
We were so close to Microsoft in our travels and had to make a bit of a detour to visit the famous Microsoft that we all know so well. It is huge and beautiful and it was unfortunate other than a few dedicated employees going to work, the visitor Center was closed as it was a Sunday. We still walked around, took photos and were genuinely tickled to have actually been there. Seattle is on our bucket list again and we will make sure we venture out to Microsoft on a day it's open.
They don’t answer their phone or respond to emails. I’ve been trying to get a hold of them for weeks about a case order that was forwarded to Microsoft campus, but they never responded to it. Pretty sure their receptionist died at this rate. Someone should check on them. Maybe get them replaced.
It is an okay visitor center. Good that Microsoft actually has one as other tech companies don't. Some interesting exhibits but really it is just a place to play with Microsoft tech and games. Cool place to bring kids.
There is not that much to do but it is very fun!
But being able to communicate with a person would be nice. Why did Microsoft take my paid version of office off my computer and replace it with a trial version then tell me I have to pay for an upgrade? Or is it because we bought a new office 365 for the new computer and it is trying to force us to use it on this piece of garbage in order to remove old documents?
Really cool to test out the technology and great branded store inside as well. Lots of great gifts and fun shirts.
There is a large underground garage with a short walk to the visitor centre. The open air lot in front of the building gets busy quickly. The centre showcases Microsoft products, both hardware and software. It's a fun place, ensure you have photo ID for entry. We spent a good couple of hours reading the history of the company and playing with the equipment. It would nice if there was more equipment to use. Also there is a large Microsoft Company Store in the building.
It being in the actual microsoft complex was probably what made it most interesting. Other than that it was basically as interesting as any normal computer/electronics store. It would have been much better if visitors were allowed to try out new developments such as Windows 10 or the hololens.
Nice balance of history and vision (and you can play Fortnight)
An impeccably tidy business park with a true park nestled between buildings!
Considering that this place is free, it is definitely worth visiting if you've never been here before. You get to walk through several interactive displays and can play different games at their Xbox One stations. There is also a large Microsoft gift shop with hundreds of unique items.
In July 2018, my daughter and I toured here through the Take a tour service that had been ordered a few weeks before. This tour service is very nimble and the transportation is quite comfortable. We stayed at the Red Lion Inn Suites Federal Way and were picked up by the Take a Tour van to get to the Microsoft Visitor Center which was about 31 miles (36 minutes trip). At this Visitor Center, visitors can see the products being developed through a computer provided at Vision Center. Visionaries can visit this place freely without time constraints.
Very cool experience to see the Microsoft campus and they have a great store with tons of memorabilia. Would have loved a bit more hands on with some of the Microsoft hardware, but all in all a great experience! Parking can be hard to find as well.
Fun place to visit with family, really like the kinect stuff, some games and computers to play on
Very close to the transit centre and decent parking. Its a little challenging to get to with all the traffic around the area but a nice Microsoft office with amazing views
Small cafe area. Exhibits are educational, informative. Nice lobby to hang out, meet and greet. People here are friendly
Are you visiting Redmond? Don't miss Microsoft. If you like IT, you will like this place. In visitors center you can try various attractions. And campus is also really beatiful, you can walk there in forests or just sit on the bench and relax.
A nice visitor center. You'll be able to experience the flagships of MS. However, I find it stupid that for a 1 hour visit you need to register your car to avoid a random parking ticket (in Redmond!). They have to change this one.
Very nice place, we were warmly welcomed. Has a small store that sells Microsoft branded products, including iPhone charge cables!
If you want to experience how big a company can be, go there. They literally have a town of their own! Plan your visit ahead of time to see all the attractions.
Microsoft visiting center remodel hand painting with new carpet place looks awesome come see the new exhibit you like what you see
Nice. The Microsoft campus is great. The visitor’s center is quite small but interesting. About the store, this is not the usual Microsoft store but more like a place for souvenirs and t-shirts. No Surface Pro here...
I went out to Microsoft to interview and I was blown away by the campus. The visitor center is very well put together. 5/5.
Cool visitor center, with all sorts of computers, and a company store full of logo merchandise.
Was very disappointed! Do not go out of your way to visit. I was hoping for some fun exhibits and historical timelines and maybe a tour. Instead this was basically a one-room Microsoft store with a few phones on exhibit. Nothing to see here.
Lovely place. Very peaceful in the afternoon. Great to meet with friends after work
Nice. Was my first time. The store was like any other Microsoft store, with just some extra stuff. History section was cool. Recommend it if you are into gaining and/or have kids.
The worse customer service ever. Even after paying for technical support. Calls transferred. Calls dropped. Promised call backs never happen. Hours and hours and hours of high frustration. Now my new lap top does not even work at all. Cannot even start it. They are all very polite. Nice. Sorry for the aggravation. And then transfer me again. Somebody better start caring about customer support and customer service. I will be buying a MAC - tonight. I will not take this any more.
The redesigned visitor center and store are really nice. The general public may now purchase software, hardware, and accessories at the store.
