Virginia Golf Vacations are always a great value. The courses selected were great courses to play, centrally located near lodging, and the folks at VGV were extremely helpful during the booking process. It would have been nicer to have had both groups (4 golfers ea.) in adjacent condos and not separate from one another. We will be back.

Great accommodations, Ford's Colony (Blue Heron) very good, and Club at Viniterra very good. Colonial Heritage, pretty but too many blind shots. Enjoyed the course but not a fun course. Working with Virginia Golf, very easy to deal with and accommodating.

VGV were excellent to deal with and booking online was easy and each person in the group could pay on their own which is good from the group leader perspective. Michelle kept us up to date with changes in our itinerary, some of our course selections or tee times were not available. Unfortunately we ran into some bad weather (rain and cold) for about half the trip. 5 of our 6 rounds were cart path only which made for very long rounds, last round was 90 degree rule. Some of the courses were over seeded and would have been cart path only even without the rain which was something new to me. We played Jamestown, Stonehouse, Kingsmill Plantation and River, Golden Horseshoe Green and Ford's Colony Blank Heath. We enjoyed most of the courses the only exception was Stonehouse, very hilly with a lot of blind shots. Our accommodations were great at Powhatan Plantation, good location close to stores and the courses. I think when you are not familiar with the area you might want to inquire about over seeding and green aeration. PS the Bermuda rough at Ford's Colony was brutal :).

The weather did not co-operate for our 17 man golf trip. The Days Inn Hotel was clean, modern and very accommadating on all fronts , including letting us have a spacious gathering room to ourselves. The only draw back was the deluxe continental breakfast, it was okay at best. The courses were also very acconmodating but the weather was not. Virginia Golf Vacations is a top notch team and answered all my Questions favorably. They deserve 5 stars *****. I am waiting now to hear if we get some kind of rebate from the courses we couldn't play because of the weather.

I found Virginia Golf Vacations on the web in order to book a weekend golf outing with some friends. The on-line interaction was easy; I provided the type of lodging we needed and suggestion as to golf courses we wanted to play. The Virginia Golf Vacation folks were extremely responsive; I received several alternative proposals within two days. They found a three bedroom condo (for four men) at a time share resort, and per our first choices, obtained desirable tee times at each of the three Kingsmill courses for lower greens fees than we believe we could have obtained ourselves. The condo was clean, attractive and well laid out. The arrangements and follow-up were well done and we had no hitches for lodging or golf. I recommend this group.

We stayed at Kingsmill Golf Resort. If we ever visit the Williamsburg, Virginia area again, I would stay here. My husband liked the golf, as he played all 3 courses that were available as Kingsmill. The resort is very close to Busch Gardens, which we loved. Free shuttle to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA were also a plus!!! Great job Virginia Golf Vacations and I really enjoyed working with Michelle Henry at Williamsburg Vacations - she was a great golf coordinator!!!!

Many thanks to Chris and Nichole for setting up the golf portion of our trip last week. They did a fantastic job in securing the courses and tee times that I wanted for our group and were always quick with a response to any questions or changes I had. We played The Signature at Westneck, Virginia Beach National and Bay Creek - Palmer. Each of the courses were in great shape for this time of year. We were worried a little about Bay Creek after they had over 2.5 inches of rain the night before we played it, but the course drained quite well. The only down side was that we had to stay on the cart paths, so that slowed things down a bit. Some of the members seemed rather put out by a group of 16 guests being there, but for the most part, everyone else was very friendly and accomodating. The course itself is absolutely fantastic though. I would highly recommend taking the trip across the bay. Other slight issues we encountered included jet noise at The Signature, which took some getting used to, but it was pretty impressive to see those jets going through maneuvers. Virginia Beach National was a great layout, but the marshalls were pushing us all day even though they told us the course was sold out for the day before we even teed off, so where were we going to go? The wait staff in the grill area were quite slow, but very friendly. Overall though, great courses!

Everything was as promised and Chris Hartig was very easy to work with, and obviously knowledgeable about the quality of the courses he recommended. VGV did an outstanding job of matching quality courses and resorts to our budget. As a group our annual venues cover a variety of locations and VGA ranks among the top of our list. We stayed at the Greensprings Vacation Resort and booked rounds at Williamsburg National Jamestown and Colonial Heritage. What I really appreciated the most was that no matter who I spoke to at VGV, everyone could handle any aspect of my inquiry rather than telling me they'll take a message for my rep. That is the ultimate great customer experience. The next time I'm looking for a golf vacation in their area I'm definitely using VGV

Our Golf Trip was very nice. Played 4 great Courses. We did not like the Colonial Heritage as much as Golden Houseshoe, Ford Colony Blackheath but every thing else was great. Greensprings Resort was a fine place to play and local to the courses. Thanks to Chris Hartig who helped me the night before the trip with getting my vouchers. I was in a panic when I thought that I did not receive them. Thanks again for a great trip. I am sure we wil be back again someday

We worked with Whitney and she was fantastic. The accommodations were great and the golf courses were just as nice. It was unfortunate that it rained on the day we were to play The Golden Horseshoe Gold course, but that was just bad weather. Virginia Golf Vacations were very accommodating when I forget to bring several vouchers for the courses. Whitney quickly resent them to me. There was a conflict with one of the courses, but we were quickly switched to another course that was better than the scheduled course and we were treated with gift certificates for our inconvenience. We would definitely use Virginia Golf Vacations again and wished they were able to schedule golf trips to places other than Virginia. Thanks Virginia Golf for a great week of golf.

Update; May 2014: Same story. Easy to work with. Reasonable pricing. No process hiccups. Hard to ask for anything more. I have used Virginia Golf Vacations for several years. They have always been responsive, reasonable and helpful. This year, I forgot the course vouchers. Chris and his team immediately stepped up, contacted the courses to provide coverage and resent the package to the Kingsmill facility where we were staying. The facility is excellent and very convenient when playing the Kingsmill courses. I will be using Virginia Golf Vacations again next year.

Great time. Patrick did a super job. He is very responsive. Courses were better than expected, especially in terms of layout. Golden Horseshoe was an amazing golfing experience in every detail. Viniterra is a gem. Royal New Kent a great layout. We were surprised at the lack of maintenance on some courses (Stonehouse/Brickshire/Kiskiak). While the fairways and greens were solid (which is what really matters) they were clearly 'rough' around the edges (traps not raked in days, nobody out with a mower, etc.). We found it overall to be a great value for the price which is why we give it 5 stars. Virginia Golf Vacations and Patrick are easy to recommend. Very professional. Well done.

We just returned from a 7 day Golf Holiday to Virginia Beach, and used Chris Hartig and Virginia Golf Vacations for all our golfing needs. There were 14 of us, couples, so we were scheduled to play a total of 76 rounds of golf. We started the week off with two 2" inched of rain, something that even Chris could not control. What they (VGV) did do, was to coordinate with the courses we were selected to play to be sure we received either a credit or reschedule so we didn't have to lose any of our money we already paid. Chris and his company are great to work with and provide exceptional customer service. I would not hesitate to use them again, and would recommend them to anyone who wants to travel "worry free". A special Thank You the Chris and his company for a job well done!!

We had a great golf vacation organized via Virginia Golf Vacations. They were very helpful and accommodating - the arrangements were happily changed a few times when we presented some options and preferences. We are a golf couple, and love to explore a 'place' coupled with golf - Williamsburg Virginia was a great spot. The accommodations arranged by VGV were great - we especially loved a 'treat' stay at the Williamsburg Lodge. The rest of the stay at the Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel & Suites was nice, too; they have a great included breakfast each day, which was nice as we headed out to the golf course. We played Colonial Heritage, Golden Horseshoe Green Course and the Kingsmill Plantation. All were challenging, but also enjoyable. The only thing that could have made the trip more enjoyable would have been warmer weather - we were actually 'snowed out' for our last game at the Kingsmill Woods course - but of course, VGV wasn't accountable for that unfortunate occurrence. That's OK - we had a great time exploring Colonial Williamsburg when we weren't playing golf. We certainly enjoyed our holiday, made much easier by the VGV arrangements, and would certainly recommend them. We'll use VGV in the future, I'm sure, as we'd love to play those course in a warmer & greener month.

Hey Pat, more than happy to let you folks know that my son and I had a great time thanks to Virginia golf vacations. This was our first time ever actually staying in Virginia, you and the staff did a amazing job. We hit the weather just right, it never hurts to have a little luck this spring with the weather. The courses were very tough, but just beautiful and well cared for. The snow on our way down presented a problem, but you called us en route and told us that Vinterea would be closed, I asked if you could get us on to the Golden Horseshoe gold course and you did! Than your pga pro went out of his way to drop all the paperwork we would need at our hotel!! The Holiday Inn North folks do a wonderful job, clean, new, just right breakfast in the morning and we were on our way to the courses, which were just minutes from us. We played traitions at stonehouse, and last day colonial heritage, the staff at every course were not just professional but very helpful and friendly!! I told you how I was not able to make the annual trip to myrtle beach this year, which happens to be the 34th, but at the spur of the moment I called you and got a great golf getaway with my 20 year old son that more than made up for it. We now have some great memories of first golf in Virginia. I also want to thank you for the discounts you included with our passes, we went to Giuseppe's and olmpus 9 steakhouse, they were both awesome and your discounts were the icing on the cake! I can say that if you could have 10 stars I would give them to you, thanks for the great golf trip!! bruce

First of all, Whitney Silva worked very well with us to arrange and book our golf trip. All the courses met our expectations and the lunch included at Fords Colony was very good and exceeded our expectations. The property we stayed at, Powhatan Plantation Resort, did not meet our expectations. This property is in need of a facelift and is not well suited for 4 adults requiring separate beds. There are two bedrooms and a very small loft with two small beds which is essentially open to the living room so anyone watching TV in the living room disturbs anyone in the loft trying to sleep. Also, we left a couple of brownies on the kitchen counter and in a matter of an hour they were covered with ants. I would have rated our trip 4-5 stars but downgraded my rating due to the accommodations.

4 of us golfed Va Beach National, Bay Creek Palmer (18) Nicklaus (9) and Golden Horseshoe Green, Stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Va Beach (2 nights, oceanside with great view) and had a great no-hassle time! Nichole at Va Golf Vacations was wonderful to deal with and this is the second year in a row we have used her to set it all up. I highly recommend this organization for a great golf vacation.

I have been dealing w/Nichole for the past couple of years. She left in the midddle of planning my trip for 16 but Patrick stepped in & everything was outstanding. The courses we played were great & everything(except mother nature) went as planned. My only complaint would be with the Powhatan Plantation Resort. We booked this trip in late November for the last week in April. The resort had my group spread out instead of all together. This would be the only issue, be it a minor one, that I would bring up. Chris & his staff @ VA Golf Vacations do an outstanding job!!

Myself and several other members for our annual golfer have been using your services for 10 plus years. We have never had a problem from start to finish. Last year was Williamsburg and every thing was exceptional. We saved enough that I could fly down and not have to deal with a 10 hr driive from upstate N.Y. The courses were in fabulous shape, gave my husband and I a great challenge. We loved the elevation changes and scenic views in the Shenandoah region. We had a couple of hiccups (our hotel had us down for 2 rooms, we were scheduled on the Rock course when our itinerary said the Boulder Course, one of our Tee times did not match what the course had by 30 min) but everyone adjusted and modified to get us in. One week package to Virginia for golf. Accomodations in a three bedroom loft townhouse style condo were very good at Powhatan Plantation. Big screen TV , well equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Clean and well outfitted. (no maid service) The indoor pool and hot tubs were fine. Outdoor pool was still very cold. Condo was very spacious and had a great deck for afternoon drinks. On site bar and grill was good for breakfast and dinner. Location was close to shopping and restaurants. Very nice grounds and ameneties (kids playground, tennis courts looked good). Downside: received three phone calls to attend time share seminar. Golf courses were all good although very wet due to the weather. The Kings mill Courses were the best although the others were also good. (Kisiak, Colonial Heritage and Williamsburg National¨ Overall an excellent time on very challenging golf courses.

Whitney is the best. My group varied from 25 to 40 and finally settled on 37. Whitney rolled with the punches; changing tee times, changing courses, and number of players. We ended up with great courses and excellent lodging at a fantastic price. Thank you Virginia Golf Vacations!

The experience we have had with Virginia Golf Vacations has been excellent for two years now. We plan to make this annual event and will continue to work through this booking agent. As far as the golf course rate we played Cape Charles Nicholas and Palmer, Signature at Westneck and Virginia Beach National. Virginia Beach National will no longer be in our rotation. Two years in a row the course was below par and not well maintained at all.

Just got back from my annual fall golf trip and this year my group decided to go somewhere different. We usually got to Pinehurst but this year we gave Williamsburg a try. Chris and his staff were superb with everything, it was by far the best experience booking a golf package that I have ever had. It was so easy and very stress free. The courses we played were very good and we have decided to make next years trip back to Williamsburg. If you are looking for a golf trip to Williamsburg, I highly recommend giving Virginia Golf Vacations a call.
