Adios Adventure Travel planed and executed an outstanding 12-day trip to Bolivia. The guided tour covered the Salt Flat, bouldering at 15,000 feet above sea level, and the wonders of Lake Titicaca to name a few. I will not hesitate to call upon Adios Adventure Travel for my next trip to South America.

Just returned from my second trip to Peru using Adios Adventure Travel for both trips. This was a wonderful adventure and I recommend Adios Adventure Travel to anyone who wants an amazing personalized trip to South America. The detail and response from the home office in Virginia was fantastic. And while in Peru, Vidal, was simply amazing with his knowledge and abilities to coordinate any trip. Vidal's love for his country and willingness to share the culture of Peru really made this trip special. You could go out and find a tour that will wave a little flag at you so a large number of people will follow or you can have a intimate, personal tour that allows you to meet the people, learn the culture and see the sites for this amazing country. Thank you to everyone at Adios Adventure Travel for this wonderful trip.

My husband and I just finished a 2 day tour- the 1 day Inca Trail Hike and tour of Machu Picchu with Adios Adventure Travel. From the very beginning, the tour company was extremely responsive and accessible. They answered all of my questions right away and even provided an extensive travel document with links and articles about everything from packing to preparing for the altitude. Jacquie, Vidal and Heather all make the booking experience very comfortable. They handled all tickets and transportation, including our drivers Carlos and Jorky who were also just as professional. The night before we departed for our hike, Vidal and our guide, Manuel Ceballos even met us at our hotel to brief us and answer any questions we had. Manuel is a rockstar! Climbing the Inca trail was by far the most challenging yet incredibly gratifying experience I’ve ever had...but it wouldn’t have been possible without him. Every time I felt the altitude slowing me down, he made me feel perfectly comfortable and masked my embarrassment by showing us another point of interest along the trail. His attitude of gratitude for nature and suggestions to just “take in the view and the experience” allowed me to push myself out of my comfort zone and it was well worth the climb. He gave us an exceptional explanation in English of not only Incan history but also Peruvian way of life and culture- even teaching us words in Quechua. Manuel let us lead the way as we arrived to the sun gate so we weren’t looking at his back but instead we could have the experience of seeing it for the first time, and took lots of great candid photos for us. We ended up having dinner and lunch with him as well, trading great conversation about music and our families. I would highly recommend Adios Adventure Travel to anyone who is looking for adventure and to truly immerse themselves in all the country has to offer!

We highly recommend going through Adios Adventure for a visit to Machu Picchu. In our case, it was to engage guide service and we could not have done better than with Vidal. He never did anything to hurry us along and ensured we would notice important details which we certainly would not have known to look for had we been on our own or in a larger group. This will be the only time for most people visiting Machu Picchu. After having invested so much in getting there, it is very important to engage a guide service that allows you to make the most of your visit. Jacquie’s blog is the best source of information and advice on visiting Machu Picchu I came across in the many hours of online research I did in preparing for this trip. It was very helpful in sorting through the myriad alternatives that are available. She was extremely generous in responding to my many questions This is the most complicated tourist activity I recall ever organizing. I recommend getting all elements of the visit done before leaving home. There are many elements to the Cusco-Machu Picchu journey and you may not always have the online connections you need to pull it all together. Kudos to Adios Adventure for enabling us to enjoy so much our visit to Machu Picchu.

I had an amazing trip this August 2018 with my two college age kids to the Amazon rain forest and Machu Picchu planned through Adios Travel. I work a ton (2 kids in college!) and I had no time to research anything. Adios Travel made it easy to pick and choose an itenarary that gave us the flexibilty to travel to the Amazon Rain forest and Machu Picchu in an unrushed indepth manner and made sure we had terrific guides and vegetarian food for my kids everywhere we travelled. They even booked all our in country flights. Jacquie Whitt the founder of adios travel delivers! I highly recommend!

I spent an amazing 12 days touring Bolivia. This was an amazing trip. Well planned out, we visited a large portion of the country. The itinerary was well thought out, very well planned. Our Bolivian guide spent time in the states, his english was excellent. The guide was amazing: an anthropologist, archaeologist, historian, sociologist wrapped into one. Traveling with him was like traveling with an encyclopedia. He was great!!! I highly recommend this trip. Next time we have to go to the Amazon region.

Jacquie is just fantastic. I did a trip in 2014 with Adios Travel, and had an amazing time in the Amazon, Cusco/Machu Pichu and Galapagos. SO this time when I wanted to check out another spot in the Amazon, I reached back out to Adios. I expected a quick one sentance with some sales pitches. Instead, Jacquie sent me several paragraphs laying out all the different options, even options that wouldn't involve going through her. I was just so impressed by her diligence and attention to detail. She really gets it. Unfortunately I can't make it down there now because flights are insane, but I can't recommend Adios more strongly. I never use travel agents normally, but South America is pretty wild, so it's definitely useful for some places, and Adios is really the tops.

I cannot say enough good things about my experience with Adios Adventure Travel. My friend and I recently returned from the 9-day Classic Inca Trail and Cusco adventure tour, and really experienced a special treat. From the first emails with Jacquie and Heather, to meeting our guides, Vidal and Yartiza on the ground in Peru, it was clear how much thought and care they put into their experiences. Every detail of the trip is expertly crafted to provide a sense of history and context to the amazing landscape surrounding us. Unlike some of the other tour groups we encountered, our guides are fully committed to protecting and preserving the environment and the sacred sites all around us. The Adios team really goes above and beyond and I cannot wait to work with them again to plan my next adventure!

After reading a lot of conflicting info about booking my trip to Machu Picchu this fall, I stumbled upon Adios Adventure Travel's helpful website. After seeing that they had someone in Virginia (where I live), I decided to give them a call. Jacquie was super helpful and was able to provide me with a quote for a day trip to Machu Picchu. They took care of everything--transfers to train station, train tickets for Sacred Valley to Aguas Calientes, getting our luggage to our next hotel in Cusco, tickets to MP and lining up a guide. Our guide Victor was great. He picked us up at our hotel in Aguas Calientes and traveled with us to the site. We decided to hike the Montana and he went with us on the 3 hour hike. It was pretty steep and tiring, so he even carried our book bag for part of it because he could tell we were wiped. I also thought the cost for everything was very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend using them!
